Reader’s Links for November 26, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. France Defends Dissolution of Islamic NGO BarakaCity
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2020/11/327203/france-declines-to-suspend-dissolution-of-islamic-ngo-barakacity/

“France’s Council of State rejected on Wednesday two requests, one to reopen the Great Mosque of Pantin and one to suspend the dissolution of Islamic NGO BarakaCity.

The summary judge said in the ruling published on Wednesday that the mosque had become a “gathering place of individuals belonging to the radical Islamic movement.”

The judge said the mosque’s official Facebook account published on October 9 a video containing “remarks provoking violence and hatred.” The video also mentioned the name of the French history teacher Samuel Paty, calling for his dismissal.

On October 16, a Chechen student attacked Paty after he showed his students some of Charlie Hebedo’s caricatures in a class on freedom of speech. The caricatures depict Prophet Muhammad, which Muslims consider an insult to their religion.

The publication of the images and the attack on Paty prompted renewed Islamophobia in the country and heightened tensions with the Muslim minority.

France’s Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin announced on October 19 he would work to dissolve Islamic NGOs and institutions. The minister said 51 institutions will receive weekly visits from state services and many of them will be dissolved.

The Prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis announced the six-month administrative closure of the Great Mosque of Pantin on October 19. Reopening the mosque depends “on measures likely to prevent the repetition of the observed dysfunctions,” said the judge.

In the BarakaCity case, the summary judge of the Council of State considers that the remarks its president, Idriss Sihamedi, circulates on social media, whether through his personal accounts or BarakaCity’s accounts, do represent the association. The judge said Sihamedi’s remarks constitute “speech inciting to discrimination, hatred or violence, which may justify dissolution.”

Sihamedi received notice from officials of France on October 20 that proceedings to dissolve the Islamic NGO were underway. On October 28, the ministry released a decree on the basis of Article 212-1 of the French Internal Security Code officially announcing its dissolution.

“Some of these messages [from Sihamedi], in particular those calling for ‘punishments’ on the victims of the attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper or exposing specific persons to public revenge constituted speech inciting discrimination, hatred or violence,” the judge affirmed.

In accordance with the instructions of French President Emanuel Macron, Darmanin announced last week the official dissolution of the Collective Against Islamophobia in France (CCIF), which he had termed an “enemy of the republic.”

The French minister of interior also recently vowed France will soon target Muslims who denounce the caricatures about Islam.”

  2. Morocco’s Navy Assists 50 Sub-Saharan Irregular Migrants
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2020/11/327191/moroccos-navy-assists-50-sub-saharan-irregular-migrants/

“Morocco’s Royal Navy Coast Guard assisted 50 sub-Saharan would-be irregular migrants off the coast of Nador, northeastern Morocco, on Wednesday.

A military source told Morocco’s state media on Thursday that the individuals were in difficulty aboard a “very dilapidated” makeshift boat.

The boat was carrying four corpses—two of women and two of babies.

Royal Navy Coast Guard officersMorocco’s provided the migrants with necessary medical care before handing them over to the Royal Gendarmerie for customary procedures.

Security services in Morocco collaborate together to face the scourge of irregular migration and the increase of human trafficking networks.

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said in 2019 in its annual report that it arrested 505 organizers of undocumented migration involved in 62 criminal neworks that traffick people.

Operations against Morocco’s oundocumented migration resulted in the arrest of 27,317 would-be migrants, including 20,141 of foreign nationality.

According to DGSN’s statistics, Moroccans represented 26% of those arrested trying to migrate without documents.”

  3. Nearly 20 suspects detained in PKK op in Istanbul
    https://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/nearly-20-suspects-detained-in-pkk-op-in-istanbul-160369

“Security forces detained at least 19 suspects, including the deputy mayor of Istanbul’s ?i?li district over their alleged links to the PKK/KCK terror group, sources have said.

As part of an investigation, earlier detention warrants were issued for a total of 25 suspects.

Out of the 25 suspects, at least 19 were detained, including Cihan Yavuz, deputy mayor of ?i?li, in the anti-terror operation which was also backed by special forces teams.

The police conducted simultaneous anti-terror operations in 28 different districts in Istanbul, said the sources.

A pistol and spare magazine were seized during the operation, along with 103 bullets and digital materials related to the PKK/KCK terror group.

The 4th Heavy Penal Court in the southeastern Diyarbak?r province yesterday sentenced Kemal Bülbül, a lawmaker from the opposition Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), to six years and three months in prison for “being a member of an armed terrorist group.”

The HDP is accused of having links to the YPG/PKK terror group by the Turkish government. The HDP denies any links to terrorism.

Turkey is now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in its fight against terrorism, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said yesterday.

“A total of 892 terrorists were neutralized this year in Turkey,” Soylu told legislators at the parliament’s planning and budget committee in the capital Ankara.

Soylu said the ministry had carried out 102,000 internal security operations since 2016.

Turkey neutralized 102 senior terrorists, with 10 of them on the most wanted list, he said.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S and the European Union.”

  4. We must fight digital fascism: President Erdogan
    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/turkey/we-must-fight-digital-fascism-president-erdogan/2056985

“Turkey’s president on Thursday warned of the dangers of “digital fascism,” speaking at an annual international summit on women and justice hosted by a women’s advocacy group based in Istanbul.

Held via live-stream, the theme of the fourth International Women and Justice Summit this year will be “Remaining Human in the Digital Age.” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the opening remarks, warning of “digital fascism.”

“Digitalization, which sees the individual as only a name or a number, leads to fascism. We must all fight together against digital fascism,” Erdogan said in his remarks at the three-day conference hosted by the Women and Democracy Association (KADEM).

Noting that digitalization is an undeniable reality that touches the lives of more people by the day, he said it was “getting harder and harder to remain isolated from the digital world, where people from all walks of life — young and old, women and men — come together via their phones, tablets, computers, and internet, at all times.”

Erdogan stressed that the “digitalization’s greatest weakness” was the risk of data control becoming “monopolized,” warning of the dangers that such a concentration of power could hold at a time when “even wars have become digitalized.”

“We must fight together against digital fascism and seek solutions together. Of course, when I say this, I don’t mean to refuse digitalization.”

He cautioned that “if we don’t see the approach of ‘remaining human in the digital age,’ as important as digitalization itself,” disaster would be “inevitable.”

Erdogan noted Turkey’s success in digitalization and said Turkey’s capacity in the information and technology sector had risen from $20 billion to $132 billion in 18 years, and that investment in the sector had exceeded 100 billion Turkish liras (over $12.7 billion).”

  7. the gateway pundit – President Trump Announces Rally in Georgia on Saturday Night

    A man on a mission.

No matter what the media says, THIS IS NOT OVER!

President Trump once again displayed his resiliency and determination to make great wins for the GOP and the American people today, announcing a new campaign rally in the State of Georgia.

The rally, which will be held on Saturday night according to the President, will feature President Trump alongside US Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. The President may even hold a follow up rally, stating to the press, “Maybe I’ll go twice!”

Senator Kelly Loeffler later clipped the statement, uploading it to Twitter.
    ================================
    twitter @KLoeffler

I’m excited to welcome @realDonaldTrump back to Georgia next Saturday for a rally with @Perduesenate & me!

We will ALWAYS have his back — and I’m so honored he has ours! #gapol #gasen

    ==========================================

Both Senator Loeffler and Senator Perdue advanced to the Georgia State Runoff, which will be held in January 2021 and are hoping to retain their seats. Holding onto these seats is crucial for the GOP to keep their majority in the Senate and holding back the night of a potential Biden Presidency. While he may be campaigning for the two Georgia Senators, President Trump remains fearless in his assurance that he did in fact win the 2020 Presidential Election and that his legal team will release the truth.

The truth is that there are still-emerging reports of voter fraud coming from around the country, indicating Trump won and Biden lost.

Rumors have been going around since the extremely controversial and distrusted election as to whether or not the President would continue hosting campaign-style rallies as his legal team continues to fight to stop the steal.

Tonight, we may have gotten our answer.

While whether or not this is the beginning of President Trump’s predicted rallies in his crusade against voter fraud or just some one-time stint due to the Georgia Runoff remains unknown, this could potentially be the beginning of something big.

    YUGE!

  8. the gateway pundit Trump Admin Removes Globalists and Warhawks from Defense Policy Board and Dopey Madeleine Albright

The Trump administration removed globalists and warhawks from the Defense Policy Board on Wednesday including Madeleine Albright, Henry Kissinger, Jane Harman and Eric Cantor.

    That was long overdue.

    […]

    CNN reported:

Several high profile members of the Defense Policy Board were removed on Wednesday by the Trump administration, in yet another purge of longstanding foreign policy experts and national security establishment figures in the final days of the Trump era, according to three defense officials.

Members who were suddenly removed include former Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Henry Kissinger, former ranking member of the House Intelligence committee Jane Harman and former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, two of the officials said.

The Defense Policy Board is an outside advisory group of former high profile national security officials who “provide the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Secretary of Defense, independent, informed advice and opinions concerning matters of defense policy in response to specific tasks from the Secretary of Defense, the Deputy Secretary of Defense,” according to their website.

Albright also compared the Trump administration to Nazis.
