2. Victoria Australia: ANGER AND DESPAIR: Andrews crushes hopes for eased restrictions

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has crushed Melburnians’ hope for freedom as he announced the city will remain in strict lockdown. Premier Andrews announced there are no major easing of restrictions for Melbourne after the state recorded seven new cases and no deaths in the last 24 hours. “We had hoped today to be able to announce that metropolitan Melbourne would take significant steps, not from today but from mid-week, round retail, hospitality and a whole range of other, important next steps,” he said. “We are not in a position to do that today because we have at least 1000 test results from that northern metropolitan outbreak that are in the labs. “We will get those today, probably the balance of them tomorrow, and they will be additional testing conducted throughout the day.

4. Has Covid killed off the flu? Experts pose the intriguing question as influenza cases nosedive by 98% across the globe

(The media appears to be doing damage control now that more and more people notice that there are few to no flu deaths anymore but Covid deaths are about what flu deaths are in a bad year for flu. I think the last published number for Canada was 6 flu deaths instead of the usual  thousands.)

It was feared by many to be the perfect winter storm, a nightmare situation that would push our health service over the edge: the ‘twin-demic’ of flu, which kills about 10,000 Britons every year, and a second deadly wave of Covid-19.

Such was the concern that the Government rolled out the biggest flu vaccination programme in British history.

Thirty million people – 20 per cent more than normal, and now including all over-50s – are eligible for this year’s jab.

Take up of the vaccine is already the highest it has ever been in the over-65s and young children, according to the latest reports.

There’s just one curious problem: flu, it seems, has all but vanished.

The disappearing act began as Covid-19 rolled in towards the end of our flu season in March. And just how swiftly rates have plummeted can be observed in ‘surveillance’ data collected by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Patients aren’t routinely tested for flu, even if it’s suspected, but a number of ‘sentinel’ GP surgeries and hospitals do carry out diagnostic screening on those who have symptoms, and this data gives us the most accurate picture of how much flu is in circulation.

And the figures provide a startling insight into what has become a creeping trend across the world.

Earlier tonight China’s GTV loaded video of Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden smoking crack cocaine while engaging in sex with an unknown person.

GTV is a Chinese channel in Mandarin.

The Gateway Pundit was first to post on this video — the first to be released — of Hunter Biden from his laptop from hell.

Conrad Black: Coronavirus hysteria will soon come to an end

Soon, the U.S. election will be over, and whatever the result, the rationale for the Democratic anti-Trump press (faithfully parroted by the Canadian media) to incite public hysteria will be over.

One more time, I inflict upon readers my grievous reservations about the response of this and many other countries to the coronavirus. The basic facts are that the coronavirus is not fatal to 99.997 per cent of people under the age of 65, and not fatal to 94.6 per cent of people above the age of 65. The vast majority of people of all ages, including the elderly, have zero or minimal symptoms when afflicted by it.

The approximately 98 per cent of people who do contract the coronavirus and survive it appear to be thereafter largely immune to it, at least for a time. It is of the nature of this virus that it cannot be prevented from spreading; the only durable cure for a whole society is a vaccine, and as many as seven largely effective vaccines are in the final stages of development and some will likely be available by the end of this year.

New Zealand triumphantly announced a couple of months ago that there were no remaining coronavirus cases in the country and, accordingly, its restrictive measures were being relaxed. Parliamentarians threw order papers in the air and there were street parties and nationwide festivities, but within a couple of weeks, and despite screening processes for arriving  people, the coronavirus had returned. The process for discovering, testing and distributing a coronavirus vaccine has been the subject of such intense and universal interest that the normal time required has been reduced by over a year. Vaccines are rarely 100 per cent effective, but they do drastically reduce the incidence of the illness, and they strengthen the morale of afflicted populations. […]

    • Lockdown, lockdown, lockdown, stay home, stay safe, Justine Trudeau plans on bringing in 351,000 migrants in 2021. He says we have no more money for veterans, skyrocketing numbers of homeless people and thousands of people can not find a Doctor in Ontario.

Oh well tomorrow somebody out for a ride on their pet unicorn will discover a forest of money trees.

      • I bought a small sign “No stupid people beyond this point”. Nobody has come to visit me!

Keep on the sunny side or the negative nut bars will walk all over you.

  1. 1 – The people who fought the Revolutionary War are the ones who insisted on the Second Amendment being included in the Constitution. They had just fought a long, hard and bloody war to regain their rights as free born Englishmen and were not about to let anyone take those rights away. The people who fought the war refused to live on their knees begging the government to protect them, they were insisting on having the tools that allowed them to take care of themselves. They were proud men who stood on their legs and told the tyrants where to go and what to do after they got there. Today we are once again burdened with tyrants who want to force us to live on our knees, are we lesser men and women then those of the late 1700s? Are we going to let wanna be petty dictators force us to live on our knees? Or are we going to stand on our feet and insist on our God Given rights which includes the right of self defense.

The choice is clear, we can vote for a some times crude and rude womanizer who fights for our freedom and our nation or are we going to vote for a corrupt politician who has spent he entire adult life in politics accomplishing nothing besides letting foreign governments and corporations bribe him to be able to steal money and jobs from the US?

Reelect Donald Trump and ensure freedom for 4 more years, in those 4 years Trump will have a chance to prosecute the traitors and ensure freedom for more then 4 years. Remember Freedom is never more then one generation from extinction (often much less then that) and our Constitutional Rights are never less then one Supreme Court away from extinction.

  2. Covid hasn’t killed-off the flu. The truth is that the flu hasn’t been a big issue in the west since 1918. The flu vaccines are always useless trash because they’re directed at earlier iterations of the virus, but big pharma lobbied for them because they’re such an easy moneymaker. They may as well be using saline (and they could be).

All of this – the virus, the flood of immigrants, the runaway madness of the SJW’s – it’s all political. It’s all meant to tear down the west and cast us into a global communist system. No matter how much we normal people want peace, I’m afraid the power-mad nuts of the world will demand that we take up arms and slaughter them. Human history seems to require these periodic cleansings to rid ourselves of the overfed parasites.

  3. See the Daily Mail’s article? The US CDC allows and encourages all Americans who want one to get a flu shot. UK apparently rations them.

“Thirty million people – 20 per cent more than normal, and now including all over-50s – are eligible for this year’s jab. ”

Interesting, John, is your mention of the apparent non-efficacy of the flu shot.

Imagine all the trouble it has taken to enforce staying at home when feverish and to work with employers, stores, transport, and schools etc to reduce transmission risk. Certainly, we’ve managed measles, polio, and typhoid outbreaks before–did we ever need so much involvement of anything other than local health departments? People, businesses, and venues have a vested interest in having healthy workers and clients–why assume the need for government oversight?
