Reader’s Links for September 28, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Iran received ‘gold bullion’ from Venezuela in return for oil, says official
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20200928-iran-received-gold-bullion-from-venezuela-in-return-for-oil-says-official/

“Iran has obtained gold from Caracas in return for the fuel loads it sent to Venezuela, Iranian chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced yesterday.

Yahya Safavi explained that the gold was transferred to Tehran by “airplanes to prevent any accident during transit”.

“Iran seeks to transfer its war experience with Iraq [1980-1988] to the countries countering the United States,” Safavi told reporters, referring to Venezuela.

Tehran, Safavi added, was providing consultations to Venezuela on “building popular mobilisation forces and preventing cyberattacks.”

“Iran is willing to help any Muslim or non-Muslim country that seeks assistance,” the commander stressed. “We received cash dollars for every assistance we’d rendered to Iraq, but with Syria we have an agreement and we receive certain things in return,” he pointed out.

Iran has been fighting in Syria since the country’s civil war broke out in 2011. It has deployed tens of thousands of proxy forces. Iranian officials say more than $15 billion has been spent to support the Syrian army led by the incumbent President Bashar Al-Assad.”

    • The big take away from the video is the big Armenian community in France, if/when the war explodes will there be conflict between the Armenian expats and the Trukish etc. expats? There weren’t kinetic conflicts between German and Allied expats in WWII but there was a lot of tension and intelligence passed to both sides.

      • We’ve seen it whenever the turkish-kurdish conflict reignites, they then engage in street battles in Germany, france, hell even Japan.

There are many in the turkish diaspora who register with the local embassy, and take marching orders through SMS etc. The turkish government asks them to snitch on those critical of Erdogan, and they snitch. The people they denounce are then arrested when they holiday in Turkey.
It orders them to riot in their host country, they riot. It tells them to attack Gulenists abroad, and they do what they’re told. Bomb-threats against Gulen schools, beating up anybody connected to the organization, shutting down turkish-language newspapers abroad etc. That’s how they roll.

    • It isn’t pandemic denial that is the problem, lady. “Deniers” are a minority. Authorities not following the science is the issue.

      • I first read about Wuhan flu on Nov. 6, 2019. I do not know anyone who has had it and all the people I have spoken with do not know anyone who had it, except 5 families in Florida. They all said they had mild symptoms for 3 days last March.

What amazes me is every morning the sun still comes up and I am still alive, even though I hug people and never wear a mask. I have told some people, I believe God will take care of me and their fear will be what kills them.

“An officer of Pakistan Army was martyred during an exchange of fire with terrorists in South Waziristan tribal district’s Shakai area last night, military’s media wing said in a stamen on Monday.

Captain Abdullah Zafar, a 25-year-old resident of Lachi, Kohat, embraced martyrdom when terrorists fired on his patrolling party on Sunday night, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. Captain Abdullah was leading the troops, it added…”

  3. Turkish forces ‘neutralize’ 4 PKK terrorists in N. Iraq
    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/turkey/turkish-forces-neutralize-4-pkk-terrorists-in-n-iraq/1988754

“Turkish security forces “neutralized” at least four PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, the country’s Defense Ministry announced Monday.

Two of the terrorists were neutralized in airstrikes in Haftanin, and the remaining in the Metina region as part of Operation Claw-Tiger, the ministry said on Twitter.

Turkey’s operations Claw-Tiger and Claw-Eagle were launched in June to ensure the safety of the Turkish people and borders by neutralizing the threat of the PKK and other terrorist groups that often use northern Iraq to plan cross-border attacks.

Turkish authorities often use the term “neutralize” to imply the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK — listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and EU — has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.”

  4. Turkey: 8 Iraqi Daesh suspects to be deported
    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/turkey/turkey-8-iraqi-daesh-suspects-to-be-deported/1988718

“Turkish authorities on Monday ordered the deportation of eight suspects arrested in counter-terrorism operations against the Daesh/ISIS terror group.

A total of 15 suspects had previously been arrested by security forces in the Samsun province of northern Turkey, among whom eight more are now going to be expelled from the country.

With the latest ruling, 14 will be deported, while one suspect was released on parole.

The operation was held on Sept. 21 in the province, resulting in the arrest of all 15 Iraqi suspects.”

  5. Immigration is a crime against the European peoples and will end in bloodshed, says French philosopher Éric Zemmour
    https://rmx.news/article/article/immigration-is-a-crime-against-the-european-peoples-and-will-end-in-bloodshed-says-french-philosopher-eric-zemmour

“Mass migration to Europe constitutes amounts to population replacement and will end in bloodshed, warned French philosopher and essayist Éric Zemmour while speaking on French news channel CNews.

“Immigration changes the makeup of a people. It is a crime against the European peoples, it will end in bloodshed,” Zemmour said.

He believes that opposed to what European Union leaders say — including Commission President Ursula von der Leyen — the solution to the continent’s migration crisis can only come from the national level.

“I think quite oppositely. The solution is only national, quite simply for one reason. What is immigration? It is an influence on the composition of a population and therefore the composition of a people, which makes it a fundamentally national decision,” Zemmour said. “It is up to the nation who it wants to take in, who it wants to have among them and who it doesn’t want in its midst.”

He was speaking about the European Commission’s new immigration pact, which Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic have already rejected.

Zemmour, who is Jewish, said neither von der Leyen nor other European Union leaders can dictate terms in the name of a non-existent “European solidarity” which is as much of a fiction as an also non-existent “European nation” and called for France to hold a referendum on the issue of immigration.

“I’m in favor of a referendum [on migration], which we didn’t have in the past 40 years, so that the French people can express what they truly want,” he said, adding that instead of being the solution it thinks it is, Europe itself is the problem.

“Europe believes that it is the solution when in fact it is the problem or at least part of the problem” Zemmour said, saying that the free travel instituted under the Schengen rules, while convenient for EU nationals, has effectively taken away border control from its nations.

Second, he said, is the problem of European courts being fundamentally pro-immigration, citing human and family rights

“European jurisprudence (…) prevents the states from deciding or prohibiting the entry of many migrants,” Zemmour said, pointing out that the core idea of the EU was philosophically flawed.

“What does the European Union truly symbolize? It symbolizes the man without roots, who is somewhere in the wind, a global citizen,” he said.

On Thursday, after the leaders of the Visegrád Group discussed the Commission’s proposal, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at a press conference that “migration must be stopped outside the borders of Europe”.

Zemmour is the author of “The French Suicide” and is known for his strong opposition against continued immigration to France. In a previous interview, he compared immigration in his country to a “demographic tsunami” and said he believes current immigration and integration policies have failed. He worked for the French channel RTL from 2010 to 2019.

France has undergone extreme demographic changes over the last decades, and features over 20 percent of all newborns have Arab-Muslim first names.”
