Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

“France’s government appointed 11 new secretaries of state on July 26, including French-Moroccan Sarah El Hairy, who will be in charge of Youth and Engagement.

The appointment follows the recommendations of Prime Minister Jean Castex to President Emmanuel Macron regarding reforming the composition of France’s government.

Sarah El Hairy was born in 1989 in Romorantin-Lanthenay, central France, to a French-Moroccan couple. Although she grew up in Metz, the young politician earned her baccalaureate certificate in Casablanca.

“The armed forces of Turkey and Azerbaijan are set to conduct large-scale joint military exercises in Azerbaijan, the latter’s Defense Ministry said on July 27.

It said the land and air forces of both countries will join the military drills.

“According to the plan, exercises involving the land forces will be held from Aug. 1 to 5 in Baku and Nakhchivan,” a statement read.

“The joint exercises, it added, will involve military personnel, armored vehicles, artillery mounts, and mortars, as well as military aviation and air defense equipment.

The announcement comes days after an attack by Armenian armed forces on Azerbaijani troops in the northwestern Tovuz border region. At least 11 Azerbaijani soldiers — including a major general and a colonel — were killed.

Azerbaijan blamed Armenia for the “provocative” actions, with Ankara throwing its weight behind Baku, and warning Yerevan that it would not hesitate to stand against any kind of attack on its eastern neighbor.

Upper Karabakh, an internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan, is under illegal Armenian occupation since 1991.”

“Around 100 people on Monday ran away from a civil protection department migrant centre at the Sicilian port of Porto Empedocle.

The police said all of them will be put into quarantine and they are continuing the search for the others.

  8. Iranian man kicks 14-year-old German girl in buttocks and spits on her after she rejects his advances
    https://rmx.news/article/article/iranian-man-kicks-14-year-old-german-girl-in-buttocks-and-spits-on-her-after-she-rejects-his-advances

“A 14-year-old German girl was kicked and spat on by an 18-year-old Iranian migrant last week on Sunday evening at 9:30 p.m. on Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse in Düsseldorf, according to police.

The Iranian man tried to speak to German girl and her 16-year-old friend, but when both signaled they wanted him to leave them alone, the man responded by kicking the 14-year-old in her buttocks, spitting on her leg, and fleeing the scene.

In order to file a criminal complaint against the suspect, the two young women went to the federal police station at Düsseldorf Central Train Station. They described the suspect in great detail so that he could be identified at 11.40 p.m. in Düsseldorf Central Station after police were called to a supermarket over a reported theft.

Police said that at the supermarket, the perpetrator behaved very aggressively towards an employee when he was confronted with the theft.

Based on the description provided by the 16-year-old victim, the attacker was identified by federal police officers in Düsseldorf Central Station as also being involved in the attack against the girl.

After the Iranian man was arrested, he was released and criminal proceedings were initiated for theft and assault. The two girls were picked up by their parents at the federal police station. The 14-year-old was not injured.”

  9. YouTube bans Czech politician over videos criticizing mass migration and the EU
    https://rmx.news/article/article/youtube-bans-czech-politician-over-videos-on-migrant-crisis

“YouTube has suspended the channel of Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) chairman Tomio Okamura who stated that videos portraying crimes committed by migrants in Europe, which he often posted, are behind the ban.

Facebook is also currently mulling banning his account as well, according to Czech news portal Reflex(.)cz.

“We are witnessing rigid censorship, and emerge of totalitarianism,” commented Okamura on the steps taken by both social networks.

Okamura, who is a Czech-Japanese politician and founder of the SPD, pointed out that YouTube has suspended his account because in his videos, he refuses to accept illegal migration, Islamization, and EU policies related to these matters. The fact that he is also drawing attention to the dangers posed by these developments is why Youtube is targeting him, he says. At the same time, he announced that he had started a new YouTube channel.

“I consider the fact that YouTube banned my channel, on which I published uncensored information, a gross attack on freedom of speech, as well as an attack on fundamental civil rights guaranteed in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. It disrupts free competition among political parties declared in the Czech Constitution,” he added.

According to YouTube, its policy forbids posting violent or cruel videos that primarily aim to shock people or seek sensation. Similarly, Facebook’s rules ban, among other things, the dissemination of illegal, misleading, discriminatory, or fraudulent information.

Besides Okamura’s account, Facebook is also considering suspending the SPD Movement account as well as the profile of the party’s vice-chairman Radim Fiala. SPD, which gained almost 11 percent of the vote in the latest parliamentary election in 2017, has previously stated that if Facebook cancels its account, it will take the case to the court.

Censorship on mainstream social networks has become a source of success of the new communication platform Parler, which gained popularity after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to leave Twitter as the platform hid some of his posts. Thanks to the absence of censorship, the network is becoming more and more popular among users.

Youtube has recently ramped up censorship of conservatives across its platform, both large and small, in the run-up to the 2020 U.S. presidential elections. Already in 2017, the well-known conservative channel Prager University faced censorship on the site, prompting PragerU’s founder to sue the tech giant. Youtube placed many of its videos in “restricted mode”, leaving the channel unable to monetize those videos.

Recently, the philosopher and conservative thinker Stefan Molyneux had his Youtube channel banned, which resulted in the banning of the largest philosophy channel on all of Youtube. Molyneux was on the platform for 14 years. Other popular conservatives, such as Steven Crowder, have had their channels demonetized.

Twitter later followed suit by permanently suspending Molyneux’s account. Twitter recently banned 7,000 accounts and placed restrictions on over 150,000 more accounts that the company said were promoting the “QAnon” movement. Critics said there was no clear criteria for labeling a Twitter account a QAnon account and that it was being used a pretext to restrict accounts that are generally supportive of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Reddit has also banned 2,000 sub-reddits, including r/The_Donald and r/TheNewRight, with one user warning about the ban wave before it hit this month:

I’ve been working in the San Francisco tech industry for about 15 years now and have a few friends that work at Reddit. Apparently they’re going to ban a large number of subs on Monday and frame it as an anti-racism initiative, but the scope of the subs being banned is supposed to be larger than that. The staff is anticipating that things are going to be crazy. That’s all I know.

With the ban of Okamura’s account on Youtube, it may demonstrate that Central European conservatives are also being increasingly targeted for censorship on Big Tech platforms. Last year, an entire Polish conservative Youtube news channel with hundreds of thousands of followers was banned from the network, prompting the channel’s creator, Marcin Rola, to say that YouTube is censoring conservative content and that the corporation must be fought by those who value free speech.”

    ONLY WOMEN TRANSMIT CORONA!
    MEN DON’T NEED MASKS!
“Corona is a secular virus that tries to lead religious countries with their destructive effects to atheism,” said Mullah Abbas Musawi-Motlagh (photo) before the last Friday prayer in Qom. And Iranian doctor Abbas Tabrizian added: “If if women only use masks against corona, then it is sufficient to prevent the spread of the virus. Men don’t need to use masks. Airborne infection only works for women. The disease is only transmitted to men through close contact with women. ” – This was reported on Facebook by the Iranian-born engineer and spokesman for the “Green Party of Iran”, Kazem Moussavi.

The Jesuits knew how to implant a mind-bomb, and then simply reset the triggers. To take a child up to the age of seven, they had a slave-against-abandonment for life. All cults of heaven and earth do it.

Free nurseries, adult-themed religious picture books, and ostracisation to the naughty-step. Inducing a disociation of affection to focus on a plaudited father-type figure, who can then abuse without censure. Real fathers are the enemy: “Destroy the patriarchy.” Socialism: international, National or Sexual. Rather than serve the lineage of your roots, your own father’s, father’s, father’s kindred, you serve them. Hijacked and made Proud. Blasphemy, Offences and Hate Crimes protecting the vain and brittle to serve causes promising peace of mind. That never will.

The real purpose of John the Baptist and his disciples like Jesus, who all went out on the road saying ‘repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near,’ was to heal these sick and tormented crying out to be filled.

Whereas, the doom-sayers and End of the World Judgement Day hustlers, thrive off their perpetual hope to be saved.

  13. CBC – N.S. mass shooter allegedly had guns, drugs, secret rooms, court documents say

Gabriel Wortman smuggled drugs from Maine ‘for years,’ associate told police

The man responsible for the mass shooting in Nova Scotia had a stockpile of guns and drugs, and false walls and hiding spots on his properties, according to newly unsealed court documents that summarize police interviews.

Provincial Court Judge Laurel Halfpenny MacQuarrie on Monday released some previously redacted sections of search warrant applications filed by the RCMP.

Police applied for permission to search Gabriel Wortman’s properties — a clinic in Dartmouth, and a cottage and large garage both in Portapique — after he killed friends, neighbours and strangers while masquerading as a Mountie on April 18 and 19.

The rampage that left 22 people dead unfolded over about 13 hours, before police shot and killed him.

In a subsequent interview with Halifax Regional Police, someone who knew Wortman for nine years described him as a “sexual predator” who provided people in Portapique and nearby Economy with drugs. That same person, who had not seen Wortman for eight months, claimed he had smuggled drugs from Maine “for years” and kept a stockpile of guns, according to the documents.

The drugs included a bag of 10,000 OxyContin and 15,000 Dilaudid pills he’d picked up in New Brunswick, the person told police.

The allegations have not been tested in court. RCMP Supt. Darren Campbell said told CBC News in June that police had found no evidence Wortman had income generated from any illegal activity.

The same witness — in details made public when the judge released a heavily redacted copy of the search warrant in May — described Wortman as “controlling and paranoid” and would talk about “getting rid of bodies, burning and chemicals.”

Some of that person’s statement remains redacted, as do many sections throughout the summary of interviews. Among the new sections that were released Monday, that witness relayed there were two false walls in a bathroom and two others in a garage, and a storage room under a large deck in Portapique.

Another witness, who also told investigators Wortman had a history of domestic violence, said he had shown off a hidden compartment under a workbench in his garage, where he stored a high-powered rifle. That same witness said there was a “false wall” in his shed in Dartmouth.

A third person told police “there is a secret room in the clinic in Dartmouth,” the documents state. Wortman worked as a denturist and lived above the clinic.

RCMP Sgt. Angela Hawryluk wrote in her summary of their findings that people referenced “secret hiding spots.”

The Mounties have said part of their investigation into the killings is looking at how the shooter obtained an authentic police uniform and how he outfitted a decommissioned RCMP cruiser to appear authentic.

The court documents include summaries of statements given to investigators and information gathered in the case. The information was used to convince justices of the peace to grant the search warrants. The RCMP requested the information and search warrants be sealed.

    References to uncle

Two references to the shooter’s uncle were among the previously redacted details released Monday evening.

One person told police Wortman “had an uncle who is a retired RCMP member and this uncle gave Gabriel parts of his uniform.”

Wortman’s spouse, in her interview with police, said he had a uniform belonging to an uncle in the RCMP but it didn’t fit him, according to the document.

Police have said the shooter had estranged relatives who were retired from the RCMP, but that they did not provide the uniform he used during the rampage. Campbell said in April police had learned the shooter had several uniforms from different police agencies, but it was impossible to recover them as Wortman had burned his cottage in Portapique.

CBC News and other media outlets applied for access to the records, which RCMP initially asked be sealed. Closed hearings were held in Port Hawkesbury, N.S., last week and the judge has been considering whether to make public more than 1,000 blacked-out sections. A further hearing is planned for mid-August.

Halfpenny MacQuarrie said some sections would remain redacted because of the ongoing investigation.

Since April, there have been ongoing questions about the RCMP’s response to the shootings and the force’s handling of past complaints about the gunman.

A CBC investigation revealed police agencies across Nova Scotia were warned in 2011 about a tip that Wortman threatened “to kill a cop.” Two years later, a woman who lived in Portapique at the time reported to RCMP that he had illegal guns and was abusive toward his spouse.

Last week, provincial and federal governments announced three people have been appointed to an independent review panel to consider the causes, context and circumstances that led to the tragedy. But families of the people killed have said that falls well short of the public inquiry for which they have been calling.

In Halifax and Bridgewater on Monday, some family members joined together with supporters and politicians to continue calling for a public inquiry.
