Hydroxychloroquine political suppression, US shuts down one Chinese consulate, doc burning party ensues: Links 1, July 22, 2020

1. More proof that google is not a search engine so much as a search filter to make sure the narrative is not deeply questioned.

Google’s right-wing blacklist: Ex-engineer at tech giant says glitch which blocked some conservative websites from appearing in their search may have exposed a secret internal list which suppresses certain outlets.

Google may have a ‘secret blacklist’ of conservative news outlets, a former engineer at the company has claimed, which he says was exposed on Tuesday when certain websites briefly vanished from Google search results.

Mike Wacker, a Google engineer who was fired from the company in June 2019 amid a row over his conservative ideology, said the brief incident on Tuesday suggested a ‘blacklist’.

‘It appears to have revealed the existence of another blacklist that disproportionately targets conservatives,’ Wacker told Mediaite

‘The glitch is that sites on this blacklist disappeared from Google search results, but the existence of the list is very much by design.

‘And that raises a major question: Why was this blacklist created in the first place, and what else is it used for?’

Websites including Breitbart, The National Pulse, The Drudge Report, and Human Events vanished from Google’s listings on Tuesday morning for several hours.

At least one left-leaning website, Occupy Democrats, was also affected.

(So far https://yippy.com seems pretty good as a search engine)

2. Chinese diplomats start burning documents after State Department orders immediate closure of Beijing’s consulate in Houston ‘to protect American intellectual property’

The U.S. abruptly ordered the closure of China’s consulate in Houston, Texas on Tuesday night – leading to Chinese diplomats burning documents and papers in trash cans in the courtyard of the building.

The State Department claims the immediate action is needed to ‘protect American intellectual property’ and other private information of American citizens.

Republican Senator Marco Rubio, the acting chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, claimed in a tweet Wednesday morning that ‘China’s Houston consulate is a massive spy center.’

China strongly condemned the move as the consulate was informed of the decision Tuesday amid a series of recent escalation in tensions between Beijing and Washington.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin called the action ‘an outrageous and unjustified move that will sabotage relations between the two countries.’

(Meanwhile, Trudeau ordered Chinese CCP supplied security equipment for 170 Canadian foreign missions. Really. At least the Australians have a general sense of what kind of character has the Canadian Prime Minister.)

3. Uncle Sam adds fresh group of 11 Chinese firms to Entity List over human rights abuses

The US Department of Commerce has sanctioned an additional 11 Chinese firms, including a major Apple supplier, over allegations that the companies are complicit in human rights violations in China’s Xinjiang province.

The department alleged that Nanchang O-Film Tech was among nine of the firms making use of forced labour* involving Xinjiang’s downtrodden Uyghur ethnic group. The other businesses also included Hefei Bitland Information Technology, a supplier to Lenovo [PDF] and HP.

The news comes less than a week after the administration said it planned to “restrict” the US visas of foreigners working for Huawei and certain other Chinese technology companies – also seemingly over the Middle Kingdom’s human rights abuses.

The 11 firms join Huawei, along with its 70 subsidiaries, which have been sitting on the Entity list since 15 May last year.

By placing O-Film on the Entity List, the commerce department has made it illegal for American companies to sell or license technology to the firm without first obtaining permission.

4. Hakim Sillah death: Teen stabbed at knife awareness course

(I guess that means they passed)

A young offender stabbed another teenager to death at a community centre while on a knife awareness course, a court has heard.

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, knifed Hakim Sillah, 18, twice in the chest at the west London centre on 7 November last year, Isleworth Crown Court was told.

Prosecutors said there was “a cruel irony” that Mr Sillah was stabbed while attending a weapons awareness course.

The teenager denies murdering him.

He also denies two counts of wounding with intent and one count of unlawful wounding.

5. Increasingly, police in Canada, especially the RCMP appear to be a politicized force, arresting and intimidating people who are well within the law, in fact practicing the best traditions of liberal democracy, should those actions put Trudeau’s leadership into question. And now, they are “investigating” Ezra Levant’s book on China and the relationship to the Trudeau Government. If this was an honest investigation, they would read it and arrest Trudeau.

The photo below is an excellent example of how communists use race as an issue to force a political outcome which has nothing to do with race. Exactly like the Floyd protests.

(These protestors attempt to make it look like Ezra’s book is racist against the ethnic Chinese. Ironically, the Chinese government itself is massively racist, actually systemically racist for the Han Chinese people, making Tibetans and all other ethnicities within China anywhere from second class citizens to slaves. No Marxist groups have even pointed this out let alone arranged a protest about it. Does the CCP have a reason to think they set the laws in Canada?

(What a great thing it is that the Chinese do not understand the Streisand effect. A little protest like this will help Ezra’s book more than anything he could do)

6. Trudeau’s appointment for GG is working out well.

Gov. Gen. Payette has created a toxic climate of harassment and verbal abuse at Rideau Hall, sources allege

Sources say many staffers have fled what they call an atmosphere of ‘bullying and harassment at its worst’

Gov. Gen. Julie Payette has created a toxic environment at Rideau Hall by verbally harassing employees to the point where some have been reduced to tears or have left the office altogether, sources tell CBC News.

Four members of Payette’s communications team have departed during the pandemic period alone. A fifth person is leaving this week and another two have taken leaves of absence. It’s just the latest wave of staff to quietly transfer out of the small office in response to mistreatment during Payette’s mandate, multiple sources said.

“This has gone from being one of the most collegial and enjoyable work environments for many of the staff to being a house of horrors,” said one government source. “It’s bullying and harassment at its worst.”

CBC News spoke to a dozen sources with direct knowledge of the office during Payette’s mandate. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they feared they could lose their jobs or their careers could suffer. Many of the sources are still in the public service, while others are former Rideau Hall employees.

7. Doctors Threatened Over Hydroxychloroquine Use – The Ingraham Angle – Fox News – July 20, 2020. “Doctors are being punished for saving their patient’s lives”

8. One of the highlights of Canada Day on Parliament hill where so many patriots gathered to speak about our dwindling freedoms and march to the US Embassy to ask the FBI to investigate Trudeau’s corruption, (yes the reason makes sense) was a speech by a preacher who escaped communism in Poland and spoke brilliantly on the hill about Canada’s direction. This is worth every second. Please read the story at RAIR Foundation which includes an interview with Artur from 2018.
