Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

“Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigations (BCIJ) arrested a suspect with links to the self-proclaimed Islmaic State (ISIS) on Saturday, December 14 in Meknes.

The BCIJ carried out the arrest in coordination with the judicial police of the city of Meknes, a statement from the BCIJ said on December 15.

Preliminary investigations, according to the statement, confirm the involvement of the suspect, described as a “41-year-old extremist,” in promoting the “extremist ideology of ISIS.”

He was also “seeking to get more information and experiences, especially those related to how to use weapons,” added the same source.

The BCIJ said that the suspect was plotting a suicide operation to cause “massive damage.”…”

“Pakistan has assured Saudi Arabia it will not become part of any initiative, which might undermine the kingdom’s interests, as Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019 – seen as an alternative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Riyadh is believed to have been upset with the event being hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and likely to be attended by leaders from Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

The absence of Saudi Arabia and its Arab allies at the meeting, to be convened from Dec 18 to 21, and the presence of Turkey, Qatar and Iran – with whom Riyadh doesn’t have good relations – have raised eyebrows with observers seeing it as a move to create a new Islamic bloc…”

“Turkey has sent three truckload of unmanned aerial vehicles to Geçitkale Airport of Turkish Cyprus, Demirören News Agency reported on Dec. 15.

Turkish Cypriot Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay said that at this stage only ground control units began to be installed at Geçitkale Airport, but no UAV has been deployed yet.

“Some of the unmanned aerial vehicles currently taking off at Dalaman [Airport] will arrive at Geçitkale when the ground control unit, which is being installed now, is operating,” he said on Dec. 15.

The aerial vehicles, which will accompany the drilling vessels and naval forces of Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean, will now take off from Geçitkale Airport.

As Turkey exercises its right to carry out energy exploration in the eastern Mediterranean, Turkish Cyprus allows it to fly drones from a local airport, Turkish Cypriot officials announced…”

  4. Chinese Documentary – Fighting terrorism in Xinjiang

Between 1990 and 2016, thousands of terrorist attacks shook the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China, killing large numbers of innocent people and hundreds of police officers.

Horrific stabbings and bombings rocked the land once known as a commercial hub on China’s ancient Silk Road.

The damage to local communities was incalculable while stability in the region quickly deteriorated.

Authorities have been trying hard to restore peace to this land.

In this exclusive CGTN exposé, we show you never-before-seen footage documenting the frightening tragedies in Xinjiang and the resilience of its people.
