1. Ezra makes a point about Halifax that is equally true in many places in the West today. In England, it is FAR more true. At least in Canada when the rapist is caught, they don’t arrest the victims yet.

Order of Canada member Peter Dalglish jailed 16 years for sexual assault in Nepal

Aid worker must pay child victims $5,000, defence sees a wrongful conviction

A prominent Canadian aid worker convicted of sexually assaulting children in Nepal has been jailed for 16 years, one of his lawyers said on Monday.

 

In addition to the prison term, the court ordered Peter Dalglish to pay his victims the equivalent of $5,000 US each, Nader Hasan said.

 

“We continue to be dismayed by the trial judge’s refusal to consider the overwhelming evidence of Peter’s innocence and the inconsistencies in the prosecution’s case,” Hasan told CBC News. “Peter’s family stand by him unflinchingly and will continue to support him,” he added. 

 

Dalglish, a member of the Order of Canada, was convicted last month after a police investigation and trial his lawyers described as a travesty of justice. His defence said it planned to challenge the decision and stiffer-than-expected sentence, although the judge has yet to release reasons.

5. “I will kill you… I’m an Arab man!” Says beach wanker 

A 37-year-old man has shocked guests on one of Rimini’s beaches after he started pleasuring himself in public, all the while clenching a knife in his hand. When the police arrived, the man was reportedly surrounded by an infuriated crowd.

 

He turned his rage against the police and reportedly threatened them: “I will kill you… I’m an Arab man!”

 

Italian police have arrested 37-year-old Egyptian Ahmed Mohamed Walid Abdelshafi who scared beachgoers in one of Italy’s most famous resort towns, Rimini, the local outlets AdnKronos and Il Messaggero report. He was charged with public indecency as well as resisting law enforcement and serious threats to public officials.

 

It was a Russian woman spending time on one of the beaches with her son and three other children, who informed a local bar owner about a scary stranger, who sat next to her family and started masturbating, all while panting and holding a knife in his fist. The lifeguard and beach staffers rushed to the scene close to a playground, where the man had been spotted. He was surrounded by angry parents, who reportedly argued and even pushed around the suspected offender before the police arrived. Law enforcement personnel are said to have saved him from being lynched, the local media suggest.

(Maybe next time the police can wait an hour after sending a guy with a rope)

6. CNN’s Jake Tapper makes a good point. But how would we know what Farrakhan thinks and says if we ban him? The answer isn’t a more even handed anti-free speech policy, which is impossible anyway. Any organization that is anti free speech will always selectively enforce its rules. The answer is more free speech for everyone.

7. European Union: Toward a European Superstate

“The EU is a Sham Democracy”

  • German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen, nominated to be the next President of the European Commission, has called for the creation of a European superstate. “My aim is the United States of Europe…” she said in an interview with Der Spiegel. She has also called for the creation of a European Army.
  • Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, nominated to be the next President of the European Council, has said that Eastern European countries opposed to burden-sharing on migration should lose some of their EU rights. He is also a strong proponent of the Iran nuclear deal.
  • Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borrell, nominated to replace Federica Mogherini as High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, is a well-known supporter of the mullahs in Iran. Borrell has also said that he hopes Britain will leave the EU because it is an impediment to the creation of a European superstate.

9. Dozens of Illegal Boat Migrants Land in England over Weekend

Over forty illegal migrants landed in England after taking to sea in boats over the weekend, according to reports.

Tens of thousands of illegal migrants attempt to break into the United Kingdom by forcing their way into Britain-bound lorries, boarding ferries, or storming the Channel Tunnel, but illegal sea crossings of the type seen in Greece, Italy, and Spain were quite rare until recently.

 

Now, hundreds of boat migrants, often identifying as Iranian, are coming across the narrow straits separating England and France — an advanced, first-world EU member-state — in vessels stolen from fishermen or, more often, in dangerous boats provided by criminal people-smugglers in exchange for significant sums of money.

 

More than forty such migrants arrived in England over the past weekend; a number on par with some of the shipments of illegal migrants being brought to Italy by supposed “rescue” NGOs which have been making headlines in recent weeks, yet much less prominently reported — perhaps because the British Home Office is not offering the same resistance to the illegal arrivals as Italy’s deputy prime minister and minister of the interior, Matteo Salvini.

In the Contributor’s Links post for today and yesterday, there is a LOT of videos about Tommy Robinson’s situation and request for asylum. One is by a decorated ex police woman who was brilliant at her speech at the trial of TR.

It is worth combing through the comments and updating ourselves on the situation. Although I think it was Richard who asked the right questions:

Doesn’t one either have to cross the US border and ask for asylum, or go to the US embassy and ask? Can you get asylum by making a Youtube video? At least be stuck at an airport somewhere? It may be putting the US in an awkward position to ask for asylum when you are still at home. I think you have to actually make a trip somewhere first and then use the asylum laws. Hundreds of thousands are doing it into Europe every year and that many again into Canada and the US. So it cannot be impossible. But maybe you have to do something like they did? I really don’t know.

  2. Epstien – I still say don’t get your hopes up about this going much further, Jim Comey’s daughter is one of the prosecutors on this case and we have seen how the Deep State takes care of its own.

    One of the speculations I have heard on this case is that Epstien may have a lot of photos and videos hidden that show a lot of powerful people from around the world in shall we say compromising situtations. The source that made this speculation said that a lot of Epstiens money can’t be traced to any legitimate source.

    On the other hand Joe diGenova is saying that the video’s and pictures are in the hands of the police and that there is no way any of the big shots can get away without out being prosecuted.

    In yesterdays show Dan Bongino said that he didn’t think Bill Clinton would have knowingly has sex with an under age girl but that he might have thought she was over 18. Confusing the issue a little is the flight logs that say Bill flew on that airplane 26 or 27 times and often to Epsteins Island without the Secret Service. Bongino also mentioned the rumors that on one of those flights Bill engaged in some “unappropriated” actions with one of the females on the plane.

    I on the underhand have no problem thinking that Bill Clinton would have sex with under age kids and given his history that he would rape one or more of them.

      • This may be the Deep State protecting the Deep State, that is my take on why she is reported to be on the team. Don’t forget the Southern District of New York is one of the most liberal Federal Court districts we have. This is the group that Mueller chose to continue the witch hunt after he closed out his portion of the persecution of President Trump.

    • Hizb is not classified as a terrorist group though. Though the caliphate is their goal, they disavow violence (not that I trust them).
