Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. BREAKING: Tommy Robinson to Seek Political Asylum in United States, Says He Will Be Murdered in Prison

Independent journalist Tommy Robinson is planning to seek asylum in the United States after being found guilty of contempt of court for a second time over livestreaming outside a 2018 Pakistani grooming gang trial in Leeds.

Robinson is facing up to two years in prison for his reporting and is planning to seek asylum from President Donald Trump.

“In desperation, I’m making the appeal to President Trump urging him to get his lawyers and his team to look into my case. I’ve already been unlawfully imprisoned, now I’ve been convicted — not by a jury of peers — but the government that got me through a back door. I’ve been convicted for journalism,” Robinson told the Gateway Pundit. “I seek political asylum because I believe that in two days time I’ll be sent to prison to be murdered by a government who oppose and have taken our freedoms away.”

Robinson added that “freedom of speech is gone and our freedom of press is gone — and whilst it goes, all the mainstream media celebrate it.”

      • House “SURROUNDED BY ANTIFA”??? What the fuck?!?

Where in fuck is the constabulary or the fucking Home Guard?

After his delightful pimp slap of Britain’s envoy (Sir Kim Darroch, ever with putting the “ass” back in “ambassador”), nothing would please me more than to see Trump (putting the “rump” back into kicking ass on America’s foes) shelter Tommy’s entire clan at US taxpayer expense.

Can you imagine the outrage HYPOCRISY of borderless immigration proponents everywhere as they demonize Trump for squandering federal monies nobly sky-hooking one of this world’s most endangered nuclear families out of their Socialist shithole???

If Trump performs just this one single act of mercy (not to mention race loyalty) HE GETS MY VOTE, even if he doesn’t break Xi’s family jewels China.

PS: Let’s see if Sir Kim’s rewards for bravely enduring POTUS’s cruel lashes include a featherbed cushy posting as legate to some infinitely more nuanced, Continental, Muslim-overrun, stabby Socialist shithole.

        • POS LACK OF PREVIEW!!!

          • Since EB says the word has been passed to Tommy t hat he has to be at the Embassy to ask for refugee status the fact that antifa is hassling him and his family makes it easier for him to claim credible fear for his life and the lives of his family.

Hopefully he will be able to get some of the crowd that was around the court to help him to get to the US Embassy.

    • Independent journalist Tommy Robinson is planning to seek asylum in the United States…

Independent journalist Tommy Robinson is given asylum in the United States…

There, fixed that. (And Trump wins by a landslide.)

      • I pray he gets it, the fact that he has had to run from Britain to keep him and his family alive will open a lot of eyes.

    • Probably getting ready for the German Bank problems to cause a lot of problems around the world.

  2. HP, Dell and Microsoft look to join electronics exodus from China

Let’s just peg this against the dollar at A COOL BILLION $HOT TO HELL. Xi’s economic bog is a watery-loo that begs for someone to turn off the lights as they leaveas that down under chunderer, Bazza McKenzie, would say“pull flaming the chain.” Glued to their Jingdezhen porcelain throne, Mao Town doubles down on getting pwned (BY TRUMP!).

And so we see yet another round of ideological purification as the Politburo courageously evicts even more elitist, Fortune 500, running pig-dog, Capitalist servo robots from this Workers of the World’s paradise. Only after this glitzy crust of ungainly, cupidinous consumerism is scraped away from Socialism with Chinese characteristics, shall we then see the glorious people’s virtue emerge from that bourgeois acquisitive mire like muddy skeletons after a flood.

Incidentally, that weird chorus of high-pitched squeaks you’re hearing is the widespread tightening* of Communist buttholes.

    * – Has anyone else ever seen the words, “widespread tightening”, in that particular order? Thinking about it, I suppose some random typing chimpanzee stockbroker has spoken about a, “widespread tightening”, of markets, but it still sounds kinda sorta smutty to me!

Speaking of Dame Edna Barry McKenzie … Hilariously NSFW

      • So many great stories happening everywhere because of Trump brilliance. The man showed up at the right time in history.
Also, we can see him through other world leaders that would never have been elected, without the Trump butterfly effect.
May it be China or Islam or whatever is afflicting us, I can’t wait for his 2nd-term.

    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1803636/former-erdogan-ally-resigns-ak-party-over-%E2%80%98deep-differences%E2%80%99

“An ally to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan resigned on Monday from the ruling AK Party, citing “deep differences.

“Under the current conditions, Turkey needs a brand new vision for its future. There is a need for correct analyses in every area, newly developed strategies, plans and programs for our country,” said former deputy prime minister Ali Babacan.

Babacan, along with former president Abdullah Gul, plans to launch a rival political party this year, according to people familiar with the matter, in a move that could further erode support for Erdogan following a stinging electoral defeat in Istanbul last month, said Reuters.

In a statement that appeared to hint at the formation of the rival party, Babacan said it had become impossible to remain a member of the AK Party (AKP)…”

  4. Egypt: Six Detained over Spying For Iran (aawsat, Jul 8, 2019)
    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1803001/egypt-six-detained-over-spying-iran

“Egypt’s Supreme State Security Criminal Court sentenced on Sunday five defendants to 25 years in jail and another to 15 years on charges of espionage for Iran with the aim of harming Egypt’s military, political, and national interests.

The court decision included a fine of 500 thousand Egyptian Lira (around $30,000) for each defendant, in addition to confiscating their computer, phones, hard discs, documents and papers and being placed under the authority of the General Intelligence.

The defendants are Alaa Moawad, a jailed Al-Azhar professor, who attended the trial on Sunday, in addition to Hassan Derbaghi (fugitive), Mohammed Makari (fugitive), Hamida al-Ansari (fugitive), Karimi Mohsen (fugitive) and Shafii Hussein (fugitive) all five tried in absentia.

Charges against the Egyptian defendants include providing reports to Iran about Egypt’s domestic conditions from 2012 to 2016.

“The first defendant committed espionage in favor of a foreign country and those working for it to harm Egypt’s military and political positions and its national interests,” the prosecution said.

It said the first defendant collaborated with the other defendants, including one responsible for the Egyptian file at the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, to work for the interest of Iran and providing information with the aim of harming Egypt’s interests.

Sunday’s order of the criminal court is still appealable.

Since Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, relations between Egypt and Iran have been tense.

Cairo also condemns Iran’s interference in the domestic affairs of Arab states and for its support for the ballistic missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Saudi Arabia.”

    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/arabic-press-review-uae-and-sudan-supply-libyas-haftar-fighters

“UAE concludes agreements with Sudan to supply Haftar with fighters
Leaders from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sudan have agreed to send militant fighters to support General Khalifa Haftar in Libya.

Libyan and Egyptian sources have revealed large-scale mobilisation operations across the western Egyptian borders and the southern borders of Libya, with Saudi-UAE funding, that the sources described as “unprecedented”, the London-based daily Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported.

An Egyptian source, close to decision-making circles, said that in recent days there have been deals with African militias and militants from countries neighbouring Sudan to participate in breaking through Tripoli in exchange for funds.

The source added that the agreements have been concluded with militants from Chad, funded by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in an attempt to “reduce the Turkish intervention in favour of the Government of National Accord, and the forces of the Islamic current.”

The source also revealed that as part of the preparations for the “decisive battle”, Emirati leaders have concluded an agreement with the vice president of the military council in Sudan, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, to provide Haftar’s militias with militants from Sudan.

Hemedti has strong ties with the leaders of Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, following the participation of members of the rapid support forces he leads in the Yemen war alongside the Saudi-UAE coalition, sources confirmed to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.”

  8. Al Houthis maintain ‘strong’ links with Al Qaida, Daesh (gulfnews, Jul 9, 2019)
    https://gulfnews.com/world/gulf/yemen/al-houthis-maintain-strong-links-with-al-qaida-daesh-1.1562617833971

“Riyadh: Yemen’s Iran-allied Al Houthi militants maintain “strong” links with the terrorist Al Qaida and Daesh groups, an Arab alliance official said late Monday.

“This relation has been there since Al Houthis’ coup against legitimacy,” spokesman for the alliance Colonel Turki Al Maliki said in Riyadh, according to the official Saudi news agency SPA.

In late 2014, Al Houthis unseated Yemen’s internationally recognised government and overran parts of the country, including the capital Sana’a, triggering a devastating conflict in the impoverished country.

Last month, the alliance captured the Daesh emir in Yemen, Abu Osama Al Muhajer, and other members of the terrorist group that has claimed several attacks in the country in recent years.

“The coalition troops continue to eliminate Daesh and other terrorist organization whoever they are,” Al Turki said at a press conference.

He accused Iran-supported Al Houthis of violating the international law by targeting civilians and civil facilities in Saudi Arabia and inside Yemen with explosive drones.

“The Iranian weapons and support to the terrorist Al Houthi militia threaten regional and international security,” Al Turki said.

In 2015, an Arab alliance led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, intervened in Yemen in response to a request from the Hadi government after Al Houthis advanced on the southern city of Adan, the country’s provisional capital.

In recent months, Al Houthis have stepped up drone and missile attacks inside Saudi Arabia amid tensions between Iran and the US.”

  10. 8,000 children recruited by Boko Haram: UN (aa, Jul 8, 2019)
    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/africa/8-000-children-recruited-by-boko-haram-un/1526122

“At least 8,000 children have been recruited by the Boko Haram terrorist movement across the Lake Chad region in Central Africa since it launched its violent campaign in 2009, the UN said in a statement on Monday.

Sylvester Tunde Atere, national project officer of the UN Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC), said in a statement that the children were used by the group in combatant and noncombatant roles.

“Recruitment and exploitation have a long-lasting impact on children’s lives,” the statement said.

“Today, rehabilitating and reintegrating these children pose significant challenges, not only in view of their number, but also due to the intense and lasting traumatic effects,” it added.

The UNODC accused Daesh-affiliated Boko Haram of raping or forcing teenage girls into marriage.”

“Slovenian Prime Minister Marjan Sarec announced he has decided to increase police and military presence along the border with Croatia.

“We never said there wasn’t any problem with migrants,” said Sarec during an inspection visit on Monday along the southern border in the town of Ilirska Bistrica, together with Interior Minister Boštjan Poklukar and police general director Tatjan Bobnar.

Sarec didn’t specify the number of additional agents that will be sent to patrol the borders, but said security forces will be equipped with technical equipment such as drones.
He said the possibility of strengthening fences and physical barriers will be evaluated where necessary.

A barbed wire fence stretches along some parts of the border between Slovenia and Croatia, but illegal crossings have doubled since the time of Poklukar’s first visit and he said this is “unacceptable for us”.

A government statement in line with expectations over border protection said the government has allocated significant financial resources to the Slovenian police and will continue to do so in the future.

It said collaboration with the local community must move forward without political rhetoric taking over.

Sarec’s visit continued in the towns of Kostel and ?rnomelj.”

  12. Iran warns UK will ‘face the consequences’ if it does not return tanker in ‘dangerous’ row (express, Jul 9, 2019)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1150889/iran-latest-world-war-3-news-uk-tehran-oil-tanker-syria-middle-east-tension-US

“IRAN has threatened the UK it will “face the consequences” if it does not release an oil tanker it seized in international waters.

The Middle Eastern country’s judiciary chief Hojatoleslam Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi sent the warning after its “unlawful move to capture” the vessel. The tanker was taken over amid suspicions it was carrying oil to Syria and breaking EU sanctions. According to Tasnim News Agency, the timing of the capture comes as tensions between Iran and the West increased after it announced it would break the terms of a nuclear deal on the amount of uranium enrichment it had.

On Monday, Mr Raeisi said: “It seems that the British and the Europeans are well aware of the Islamic Republic’s means of access and capacities.

“Accordingly, it would be in their best interests to immediately release the oil tanker, otherwise, they’ll have to face the consequences of the move.”

Reports say the Iranian vessel was travelling in accordance with international law before it was taken over.

The vessel was then captured by British Royal Marines in Gibraltar on Thursday.

After the incident Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, said the UK’s action had set “a dangerous precedent and must end now”.

He added: “Iran is neither a member of the EU nor subject to any European oil embargo.

“Last I checked, EU was against extraterritoriality.

“UK’s unlawful seizure of a tanker with Iranian oil on behalf of the B-Team is piracy, pure and simple.

“It sets a dangerous precedent and must end now.”

Mr Zarif has previously referred to the B-Team as a group including US President Donald Trump’s national security adviser John Bolton, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Iran has continually denied the vessel was heading to its ally Syria.

However, Gibraltar says it had reasonable grounds to feel the Grace 1 ship was carrying crude oil to the Baniyas refinery in Syria.”
