Allied powers believed that serious democratic reforms, and a constitutional form of government, could not be put into place as long as the Japanese people looked to an emperor as their ultimate authority. And when they heard wind of the emperor getting ready to surrender – and this is, you know, after Hiroshima and Nagasaki – the only recourse they had was trying to intercept that message so that it doesn’t get to the broadcasting station.

Grace and mercy. Subs and Doms.
This is what worms live by: Visions. Imaginings. Angels and Jinns. Until the worst of both come to kill you.
When the truth sets you free.
Grace alone. Mercy alone. Virtue-Signalling or Submission. When they find out it doesn’t work – with the poverty that continually surrounds them – there is hell to pay.
