Daily Links Post graphic

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We muse use it while we can.

  1. Border Agent Drops A Bomb, Says Crossers Coming From 44 Countries – Iran, Iraq, & More

Deputy Chief Border Agent Raul Ortiz noted, “So far, here in South Texas, we’ve apprehended folks from 44 different countries. These are from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, you name it. We continue to see some increases in those numbers. Most of the people we apprehend are from Central America, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. But we do see folks from across the world, and probably, by the end of the year, I woulhttps://flagandcross.com/border-agent-drops-a-bomb-says-crossers-coming-from-44-countries-iran-iraq-more/d venture to say that number, will get as high as 60 different countries we will apprehend people from.”

He added, “It is certainly a humanitarian crisis, it’s a border security crisis, but more importantly, it’s a policy crisis that needs to be addressed at the highest levels.”

  2. Muslim Americans confident ‘terror watchlist’ will soon be ruled unconstitutional (mee, Apr 4, 2019)
    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/muslim-americans-confident-terror-watchlist-will-soon-be-ruled-unconstitutional

“Muslim-American advocates are confident that a US federal judge will soon rule in their favour in a lawsuit they filed in 2016 challenging the constitutionality of the FBI’s terrorist watchlist.

A hearing was held in the case on 4 April in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of the US capital Washington.

Hassan Shibly, executive director of the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and one of 23 Muslim-American plaintiffs in the lawsuit, said he expected the judge to deliver a decision soon.

“Growing up as an American Muslim, unfortunately, I felt I have been treated as a second-class citizen at the hands of my government since I was a teenager,” Shibly said during a news conference after the hearing.

The US government’s watchlist counts more than one million names, both US citizens and foreigners, who are considered to be “known or suspected terrorists”, according to the court filings.

Washington justifies its use of the watchlist on the basis of national security.

But civil rights advocates and other groups say it constitutes an unconstitutional breach of due process and unfairly targets Muslim Americans in particular.

Shibly said being on the watchlist has been tantamount to being treated as a “criminal” when travelling. He said he can be questioned for hours and sometimes even detained when leaving and entering the US, all because his name is on the list.

“This overly broad list ultimately makes us less safe and less free, and in order to protect our country’s safety, security and liberty, we are challenging the watchlist together,” Shibly said.

CAIR and others, including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), have filed various lawsuits around the country challenging the constitutionality of the federal government’s watchlist system.

It was not immediately clear when the judge will deliver a final ruling in the CAIR case.

    ‘Vague, overbroad standards’
According to the ACLU, Americans are put on the list as terrorism suspects based “on vague, overbroad standards and secret evidence”.

“The consequences can be devastating, from repeated questioning and harassment by law enforcement officials to an indefinite ban on air travel,” the ACLU says on its website.

“To make matters worse, the network of watchlists has been found to be riddled with errors, and watchlisted individuals don’t have a meaningful way to correct errors and clear their names.”

During Thursday’s news conference, Lena Masri, legal director for CAIR’s Michigan chapter, shared detailed personal stories of the plaintiffs named in the lawsuit.

One couple has not being able to get spousal immigration papers approved for a decade, Masri said, while one man decided to move to Europe after being intimidated and threatened at gunpoint during a US border crossing.

“Lives are being destroyed by this watchlist,” Masri said.

“This watchlist is an attack on the Muslim community and we are confident the judge will see the watchlist for what it is and declare it unconstitutional for violating due process rights for thousands of Muslims,” she added.

Individuals on the watchlist have had their bank accounts closed without warning, have been denied the ability to make wire transfers, they suffer delays and interrogations at airports and other border crossings, and cannot work certain jobs.

The watchlist, established in 2003, is maintained by the US government’s Terrorist Screening Centre, a division of the national security branch of the FBI.”

    • “Growing up as an American Muslim, unfortunately, I felt I have been treated as a second-class citizen at the hands of my government since I was a teenager,” Shibly said during a news conference after the hearing”

Yet in reality, the Constitution has never treated muslims as inferior. And through the spectrum of Diversity, muslims have been punching way above their population in weeding out those areas that are “too white.”

In fact, Sharia Law makes all muslims superior to the kufar.

This is the Marxist ‘Victim and Oppressor’ of the “second-class citizen” Before the Chinese and Russian ‘third class citizen’ becomes effective.

The Feminist Creation of the Male ascends. Communism is the face they hide behind. Dhimmi-muslims like the Socialist useful-cucks, will be shocked when their Prides are turned into factory-slaves and their intellectuals sent to Siberia..

  3. Aid ship carrying 64 refugees stranded in Mediterranean (memo, Apr 4, 2019)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20190404-aid-ship-carrying-64-refugees-stranded-in-mediterranean/

“A humanitarian ship with 64 rescued migrants on board was stuck in Mediterranean and has been denied safe harbour, a German humanitarian group said, Anadolu Agency has reported.

“The situation on board is difficult, rain has just started and a storm is coming. People have to sleep on deck and the boat is completely full. We have requested a port of safety everywhere but have not been allowed to enter anywhere yet,” Carlotta Weibl, spokeswoman for Sea-Eye, told Anadolu Agency.

On Wednesday, the ship named Alan Kurdi belonging to the German humanitarian group, rescued 64 irregular migrants, including 12 women, one child and one infant off the Libyan coast.

According to a statement by the Sea-Eye, Malta, Italy and Libya have denied accepting migrants to their lands.

In a latest Twitter post, Sea-Eye said they are in a close contact with the German Federal Foreign Office.

On Wednesday, Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said the German-flagged ship should go to Hamburg as it carries German staffers.

“Since the boat was unable to maneuver and would not be able to reach a safe place, we decided to evacuate the rubber boat immediately.” Jan Ribbeck, head of operations at Sea-Eye, said.

“However, the ship is unsuitable to accommodate so many people, permanently,” Ribbeck added.

Another 50 migrants, including three children, are still missing off the Libyan coast since Monday night, Sea-Eye noted.

More than 250 international non-governmental organisations — including Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, Sea Watch — wrote an open letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday and asked for her support on refugee policy regulations of the European Union.

The organisations listed three requests from Merkel; an emergency action plan for refugee boats, safe harbours for refugees and no return to Libya.

Some 30,510 migrants died between 2014 and 2018 while making the treacherous journey to Europe, the UN agency reported early January.”

  4. Iraq offers $25m reward for information on Daesh head Al-Baghdadi (memo, Apr 4, 2019)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20190404-iraq-offers-25m-reward-for-information-on-daesh-head-al-baghdadi/

“The Iraqi army announced yesterday that is offering a reward of $25 million for information about the location of Daesh leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

An official in Anbar province, Ibrahim Al-Awsaj, told Xinhua news agency that the Iraqi army have dropped leaflets over Anbar’s provincial capital, Ramadi, to make people aware of the reward.

“The leader of Daesh and his fighters stole your land and killed your people, and now he is hiding in safety away from the death and destruction that he planted. With your intelligence reports, you can avenge,” the leaflets said.

The announcement comes after the US backed Syrian Democratic Forces announced that they had defeated the group’s militants in eastern Syria amid reports that Al-Baghdadi and some of his companions have flee from the area.”

  5. Amman calls for release of Jordanians detained by Assad (alaraby, Apr 5, 2019)
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2019/4/4/amman-calls-for-release-of-jordanians-detained-by-assad

“Amman on Thursday called for the release of 30 Jordanians detained in Syria without reason, the kingdom’s foreign ministry said, adding that it had summoned the Syrian embassy’s charge d’affaires.

Aymen Alloush was summoned “for the fourth time in a row to demand the release of 30 Jordanian citizens… detained without clear reasons”, a ministry spokesman Sufyan al-Qudah said in a statement.

All of them had crossed into the conflict-wracked country “for tourism or a visit” after Syria and Jordan reopened their shared border in October, he added.

Amman has repeatedly contacted Syrian authorities “through diplomatic channels” to demand their release, Qudah said, adding that Damascus had failed to clearly respond.

The main crossing point between Syria and Jordan was reopened following an agreement between Amman and Damascus.

Known as Jaber on the Jordanian side and Nassib in Syria, it was once one of the Middle East’s main trading routes.

It was closed in April 2015 after rebels fighting the Syrian regime overran the crossing.

Syrian regime forces backed by Russian air power retook control of the border point in July last year.

Its reopening provided a boost for both countries.

The crossing’s closure had strained the economy of Jordan – a desert kingdom with few resources which is heavily reliant on imports and foreign aid.

The kingdom’s commercial problems were coupled with unprecedented humanitarian and financial crises after hundreds of thousands of Syrians poured across the border to escape the war next door.

King Abdullah II of Jordan, which hosts more than 700,000 Syrian refugees, has repeatedly called for a political settlement to the eight-year conflict in Syria.”

“Jihadist group Islamic State said on Thursday it had killed 13 Nigerian soldiers and five troops from a west African anti-militant force in attacks over recent days.

Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), which split from Nigeria-based Boko Haram in 2016, has carried out a series of attacks in the last few months.

In its newspaper Al-Nabaa, IS said its fighters killed the Nigerians in attacks on a military barracks on Friday, a military post on Sunday, and a town on Monday, all in northeastern Borno state.

Fighters also detonated explosives on Wednesday on a vehicle in the Lake Chad region, killing five more soldiers, IS said, without specifying the country.

The militants said the vehicle was carrying troops from a multinational task force – comprising of troops from Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Cameroon – set up to fight them.

A Nigerian military spokesman declined comment, and a spokesman for the task force could not immediately be reached.

Boko Haram has waged a decade-long insurgency in northeast Nigeria which has killed around 30,000 people and forced about 2 million to leave their homes.”

The Quartet has announced boycotting of the meeting in case it is held in Doha, unless the State of Qatar responds to the demands of the four countries to cease its support for terrorism and stop intervention in internal affairs of countries of the region.

The Quartet has further stated that Qatar has not responded to the just demands of the four countries and has continued its supportive policy for extremism, terrorism and interference in the affairs of the countries of the region, “we emphasise our non-participation in the IPU’s Assembly meeting referred to above,” the statement concluded.”

  9. Egypt’s former Customs Authority head sentenced to 10 years in prison for corruption (ahram, Apr 4, 2019)
    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/329455/Egypt/Politics-/Egypts-former-Customs-Authority-head-sentenced-to-.aspx

“A criminal court in Egypt’s Port Said sentenced on Thursday the former head of the country’s Customs Authority to 10 years in prison on charges of corruption and bribery.
The court acquitted seven other defendants in the case.

The case dates back to July 2018 when Egypt’s Prosecutor-General Nabil Sadek ordered the detention of Gamal Abdel-Azim, the head of the Customs Authority at time, pending investigations into charges of receiving bribes and dereliction of duty.

Abdel-Azim faced accusations of receiving bribes in exchange for facilitating the entry of goods into the country without the payment of the required customs duties.

According to the prosecution, Abdel-Azim had directed his subordinates to issue fake reports to reduce fines on goods that had been seized in several smuggling cases.

The country’s anti-corruption authorities have been waging a campaign targeting high-level graft in recent years.

Authorities arrested the governor of the Nile Delta province of Menoufiya in January, and the deputy governor of Alexandria in August 2018, both on corruption allegations.”

Russiagate’s Damage To The Country Will Take Years To Realize
The media and Democrat Party have dug themselves so deeply in a hole, they must keep on digging. That’s absolutely terrible for this country, as has been this entire endeavor.

By Willis L. Krumholz, The Federalist, March 25, 2019

The probe of Special Counsel Robert Mueller—appointed to investigate conspiracy theories that said President Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election—officially ended on Friday, March 22, 2019.

“I don’t think it looks good… no further indictments,” said Bill Maher on his Saturday night HBO show. Maher tried to console himself. He repeated the brand-new incantation of the progressive faith: “I don’t need the Mueller report to know he’s a traitor, I have a T.V.”

California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell quickly promised Maher that the Democrat chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Adam Schiff, would haul Mueller in front of Congress with a subpoena.

“The Spanish Civil Guard has arrested eight suspects of a car theft ring in Spain in late March believed to be headed by a Moroccan man. Four of those arrested were relatives of the suspected ringleader, three his children and one his nephew.

The authorities discovered that the ring sent stolen cars for sale in Africa, especially Morocco, according to Spanish news outlet Mira Corredor.

Spanish police officers stated that before the suspects shipped the vehicles to Morocco, the gang used them to rob pharmacies on the weekends in Madrid. The gang had attacked eight pharmacies with force.

The Spanish Civil Guard seized 57 vehicles and equipment used in forging number plates.

Police carried out an investigation following reports from maritime ports that vehicles of the same make and model were being shipped to Morocco under identical license plate numbers.

  13. ‘Unprecedented’ crackdown launched against banned outfits: Afridi (tribune, Apr 4, 2019)
    https://tribune.com.pk/story/1943793/1-unprecedented-crackdown-launched-banned-outfits-afridi/

“Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi said on Thursday that the federal and provincial governments had launched an unprecedented crackdown on banned outfits and all political stakeholders were on board on the issue.

“The decision to take action against proscribed organisations is our own. It was adopted under the National Action Plan (NAP), which was signed by all political forces in 2014,” the minister told a group of diplomats.

“Nobody would be allowed to challenge the writ of the State. Our land would not be allowed to be used against any country,” he added.

Afridi said all key stakeholders, including opposition and religious parties, had been taken on board for launching the clampdown on proscribed organisations.

Ministerial and secretarial level committees, which include religious clerics, have been formed for the crackdown.

Referring to the government’s action against non-State actors, the minister said the handling of protests in the wake of the Aasia Bibi verdict had sent a loud and clear message that such elements would not be dictating the terms now.

“The crackdown against Tehreek-e-Labbaik was an example of the State’s resolve against extremism. It has also been lauded by opposition parties and the global community,” Afridi maintained.

“The action against banned outfits has nothing to do with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). In fact, it is for the sake of our future generations,” he added.

Afridi said Prime Minister Imran Khan had met leading religious scholars from different schools of thought. The religious leaders, he added, had assured the prime minister that they would stand by the decisions made by the federal government.

The minister urged the diplomats to play a positive role in projecting Pakistan’s true image.

Afridi also informed the diplomats that the government was taking action against human trafficking, money laundering and drug smuggling.

“We are fencing our borders and all exit and entry points are being monitored,” the minister explained.

“We are also monitoring banking channels besides launching action against Hawala and Hundi (illegal money transfer practices),” he added. “We have choked currency movement from all airports and officials of the Customs, the FIA, the Anti-Narcotics Force and the Airport Security Force are taking strict measures.”

The minister also maintained that the government was ensuring the provision of equal rights to members of religious minorities and action was being taken against the alleged abduction of two Hindu girls in Ghotki district of Sindh.

He assured the diplomats that whosoever is found involved in wrongdoing in the incident would be taken to task.

Speaking about the new visa regime, Afridi said the government wanted to facilitate investors, tourists and adventurists as Pakistan was blessed with world’s most exciting tourist destinations.

    NGOs

Speaking at a separate event, Afridi said the government would not allow any non-governmental organisation (NGO) to advance some political agenda in the name of social development.

A new framework has been chalked out under which NGOs will have to register themselves. The minister also said fencing on the Pak-Iran border would be completed soon.”

    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/euro-court-rejects-appeals-against-turkish-military-curfews-142426

“The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on April 4 rejected 32 requests for appeals made against Turkey’s 2015-2016 curfews in the country’s southeast during security operations targeting the PKK.

The government had imposed curfews in southeastern districts of Silopi, Cizre and Sur, saying they were held to aid the fight against the PKK, which had declared self-rule and dug trenches for warfare in those districts.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.

During Turkey’s operations in the region, security forces said the curfews were imposed to protect the safety of people’s lives and properties.

A total of 34 appeals went to the ECHR, claiming that Turkey abused human rights during the curfews.

The court decided to examine two applications primarily, but rejected them as inadmissible on Jan. 29 since they were not brought before Turkish courts in rulings.

Referring to its previous decision, the court rejected all of the remaining 32 appeals to challenge the curfew, ruling them as inadmissible on April 4.”

    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/akar-urges-kosovo-to-remove-feto-barrier-142438

“Turkey’s visiting defense minister called on Kosovo on April 4 to remove the barrier created by FETÖ, the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey, between the two countries.

Hulusi Akar’s remarks came following his meeting with Kosovar counterpart Rrustem Berisha as part of his official visit to the capital Pristina.

FETÖ and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gülen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people dead and nearly 2,200 injured.

The two officials co-chaired a meeting between delegations after a one-on-one meeting.

Addressing a joint news conference, Akar underlined the strong ties between Turkey and Kosovo.

“Let us quickly remove the FETÖ barrier between us. We must get rid of this immediately,” said Akar.

In 2018, Turkish intelligence officers, in cooperation with Kosovar intelligence, brought six alleged senior FETÖ members back to Turkey following operations against the group’s branch in the Balkans.

Berisha, for his part, said Turkey always has stood by Kosovo.

Kosovar defense chief also said he hopes the cooperation between the two countries improves.”

    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/asia-pacific/asean-wants-to-create-safe-zones-for-rohingya/1442180

“The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) wants to play a leading role in the repatriation of Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh, a minister said late Wednesday.

“Thailand is the current chair of ASEAN. They are willing to take a leading role in the Rohingya repatriation process,” Bangladeshi Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said at a press briefing following a meeting with his Thai counterpart Don Pramudwinai in Dhaka, local media reported.

Pramudwinai had informed Bangladesh authorities that Thailand had sent a delegation to visit villages in Rakhine, but Momen accused Myanmar authorities of taking foreign delegations to villages that were not damaged during atrocities, the daily New Age newspaper reported.

Replying to a question by a journalist on Bangladesh’s proposal to create a ‘safe zone’ in Rakhine for Rohingya, Momen said Pramudwinai agreed with the idea but wanted to use different words as ‘safe zone’ carries certain connotations and some quarters were unwilling to agree with that, the report added.

The Thai minister did not attend the press briefing…”

    https://www.aa.com.tr/en/africa/libya-s-grand-mufti-urges-public-to-fight-haftar-forces/1442860

“Libya’s highest religious authority called on the public Thursday to take to the streets against military commander Khalifa Haftar’s campaign aimed at capturing the capital.

“The Libyan people should resist and fight against Haftar’s forces in Tripoli in order not to see crimes against humanity committed in [the eastern cities of] Derna and Benghazi,” said Grand Mufti Sadiq Al-Ghariani, speaking to Al-Jazeera Mubasher television based in Qatar

“It is no longer a secret that the UN mission in the country cooperates with Haftar,” said Al-Ghariani, referring to the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

He added that the UN mission was deployed in the country not to resolve problems but to exacerbate them.

On Wednesday, Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the Tripoli-based government, ordered security forces to “prepare for and respond to any threats aimed at destabilizing the region”.

Earlier that day, Haftar, who is affiliated with a rival government based in the eastern city of Al-Bayda, reportedly ordered his forces to deploy to western parts of the country with a view to “purging the region of terrorist groups and strongholds”.

Libya has remained beset by turmoil since 2011, when a bloody NATO-backed uprising led to the ouster and death of President Muammar Gaddafi after four decades in power.

Since then, the country’s stark political divisions have yielded two rival seats of power: one in Al-Bayda, to which Haftar is linked, and another in Tripoli.”

    • Note: NATO is the _Bad Guy_ here.
Destabilization of Egypt is based here. The folks who brought us the Arab Spring are here. The Turk and MB-linked jihadis funded by Qatar are here.

“Migrants must be rescued rather than being pushed back, the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) chief said Thursday.

“Migrants must be rescued and not pushed back to unsafe or third countries, also because we take on responsibilities if we entrust them to third parties,” said Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti at the presentation of the Astalli Centre migrant report.

“(Migrant) landings in Italy have dropped but the deaths are rising.

“Every death is an offence that strikes all humankind”.

Asked if self-described Christian politics was actually Christian in its actions, he replied: “I don’t have an instrument to measure faith. I say (Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s) migrant-security decree is insufficient and must be mitigated”.”

“Italian judicial authorities have opened a probe after around 200 Rome residents and neo-fascists torched bins and shouted racist abuse at Roma families being temporarily housed in their neighbourhood.

“No to any form of violence, but no also to whoever dumps all the problems on the suburbs,” said far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, repeating his vow to close all Roma camps.

The situation in Torre Maura, east of Rome, degenerated on Tuesday night when around 70 Roma, including 30 children, were brought to be housed in a municipal building before being found a permanent home.

Some residents took to the streets to protest and were rapidly joined by activists from neo-fascist groups CasaPound and Forza Nuova.

Protesters set fire to bins and trampled on food that had been provided for the Roma families, while hurling racist abuse, Italian media reported Thursday.

“Get lost, if you come out, we’ll kill you,” one protester shouted, the La Stampa newspaper reported.

“We should burn them,” another person shouted, against a background of chants of “Italy, fascism, revolution.”

Rome mayor Virginia Raggi, from the Five Star Movement which governs in a national coalition with Salvini’s Lega, initially refused to cede to violence but then agreed to move the Roma families again.

More protesters shouted at the Roma and made Nazi salutes as they were taken away.

The judicial investigation will look into whether there was criminal damage and threats with racial hatred involved, Italian media said.

Anti-immigrant leader Salvini, also deputy prime minister, said after coming to power last year that he wanted a census of all Roma in Italy so that foreigners could be expelled.

“As for the Italian Roma, unfortunately one has to keep them at home,” he added.

Non-profit organisation Associazione 21 Luglio estimates there are between 120,000 and 180,000 Roma, Sinti and traveller people in Italy, of whom roughly 16,400 live in formally recognised camps.

Of the camp residents, 43 percent are Italian citizens, while the rest come from ex-Yugoslav countries — around 3,000 of whom are stateless.

Despite Roma making up at most 0.3 percent of Italy’s population, they can be subject to extreme hostility from the general public.

The people living in Roma camps are often blamed for a variety of petty crimes like pick-pocketing, copper theft and break-ins.

Two of Rome’s major organised crime gangs are headed up by two long-settled Sinti families that control drug distribution in certain sections of the city.”

The man accused of attacking two mosques in Christchurch last month will face 50 murder charges when he appears in court on Friday, New Zealand police say.

    • Under The Radar: Unmasking The Christchurch Shooter | Trailer

March 15th’s terror attack in the New Zealand city of Christchurch sent shock waves around the world.

The massacre of 50 Muslim worshippers was designed for the internet age: the suspected killer, a white Australian man with links to the far-right, live-streamed the events at Al Noor Mosque on Facebook.

This ABC Four Corners film investigates how the suspect was able to operate under the radar of the authorities.

It explores the rise of far-right extremism on the internet and asks whether security forces have been so focused on Islamic extremism, that they’ve failed to grasp the rise of far-right white supremacists.

The website tweeted Thursday claiming that a senior source with Ecuador’s State Department had informed WikiLeaks that Assange would be removed from the embassy and subject to arrest by British authorities.

A hospital in southern California announced Monday that it was withdrawing a job offer to a doctor who had posted a series of anti-Semitic tweets.

Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield said that Dr. Lara Kollab, who was fired from the Cleveland Clinic last year over her history of anti-Semitic online statements, would not be participating in their internal medicine residency program after the clinic withdrew her acceptance on March 15.

  27. African Cardinal Slams Mass Migration: The West ‘Will Disappear’ If It Continues ‘In This Fatal Way’

The prominent Vatican Cardinal Robert Sarah, as his newly released book is causing furor in Europe, said it is wrong to “use the word of God to promote migration.”

The Guinean cardinal, prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship, said that using the Bible to promote migration constitutes “false exegesis,” adding that it is better “to help people flourish in their culture than to encourage them to come to Europe.”

In an interview last week, the cardinal condemned the Church’s push for migration into Europe in the strongest terms, insisting that most immigrants wind up “without work or dignity” and assume the condition of slaves.

“Is that what the Church wants?” he asked, adding that the Church should not support “this new form of slavery that is mass migration.”

“God never intended these fractures,” he said.

The cardinal also said that the demise of Christian Europe does not bode well for the future of the world.
