  1. I think the cultural Marxists may have gone too far, with luck the push back is starting.

  2. The first video with DSC’s CEO Michael Dubin is the sort of commercial that I would almost pay to watch. Just his spiel and attitude alone are immensely appealing. From what I understand, Unilever bought out DSC for around one billion so Dubin must have been doing something right.

    — Hint: Somehow, Dubin automated the unit packaging system so there is zero hand-packing or minimum or average orders. Even if the boxes are slightly larger than needed (to accommodate normal variations in average order size), eliminating a maximum of manual labor will more than pay for the extra cardboard. —

I’d bet big bucks that the entire warehouse system is like Amazon where mobile robotic stock pickers aggregate custom orders in separate individually SKU-tagged bins that are passed to the automatic pack and seal stations. All the shipping destination’s information is tied to the SKU so it prints on a label (or directly onto the package).

Pallet aggregators group orders by destination and time of departure. And you’d best believe that all warehouse shelf restocking is performed by mobile robots with heavy lift capability. If DSC’s shipping department is on it, arriving loads are pre-palletized into unmixed batches that are placed directly on the pallet racks for mobile pickers to access. In theory, the entire operation can operate as a “dark factory”.

Now, step through the looking glass and into the IOT (Internet of Things) cybersphere. As a loyal (i.e., automatically billed) DSC customer, you not only receive the regular minimum monthly purchase but, when your smart medicine cabinet detects that you have not put back the shaving cream, it will (after consulting an order calendar to make sure you didn’t just leave the aerosol tin on your bathroom sink) re-up with your preferred brand for immediate or scheduled shipment.

Do you expect overnight guests? A full-service DSC could send you entire hotel-style toiletry kits for your visitors. Like with Amazon Prime, a simple user upgrade (ka-ching!) would get you routine next-day delivery.

For anyone whose quality time is worth more than the extra effort and expense of shopping these specific products, DSC would be a well-designed business model.

The second clip is FLAT-OUT AWESOME. I rarely use that adjective but Gillette execs should be force-fed that magnificent piece Alex DeLarge-style until something breaks. Someone, somewhere, really did things right.

Lately, I’ve been squawking about the Myth of Male Privilege and this well-directed production deserves whatever prize it is that we all know will never, ever be awarded to this piece because its writers didn’t follow The Narrative™.

Mmmm. I was disappointed with it.

It was like having muslims attacking children in the street, and then the next day holding hands with musselma feeling completey sorry for all these little victims. (All that was missing was candles and cards at the end).

      A bait and switch.

Now, will the real man (who is neither a cuck or a victim) please turn out the light when they leave the room?
