Yellow vests Vs. something else

This is interesting. It looks like Yellow vested people fighting with other yellow vested people who have face masks on, suggesting another more real allegiance. Then, Orange vested people run interference to make sure the thugs with the masks on don’t face any push back from their initiated violence. A tactic I have seen before somewhere, that various ranks change places to protect each other.

PARIS (AP) — As anti-government protests rage through France and Paris locks down, fearing new riots, the man whose presidency has unleashed the anger is nowhere to be seen.

French President Emmanuel Macron has stayed out of the public eye all week, leaving his unpopular government to try to calm the nation. In response, “Macron, resign!” has become the main slogan of the “yellow vest” demonstrators.

The protesters’ anger has been directed at the French leader, who they feel has been the “president of the rich” and is out-of-touch with ordinary people.

  2. Clashes as yellow vest protests grow in Belgium, Netherlands

BRUSSELS (AP) — Belgian police fired tear gas and water cannons at yellow-vested protesters calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Charles Michel after they tried to breach a riot barricade, as the movement that started in France made its mark Saturday in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Protesters in Brussels threw paving stones, road signs, fireworks, flares and other objects at police blocking their entry to an area where Michel’s offices, other government buildings and the parliament are located.

Brussels police spokeswoman Ilse Van de Keere said that around 400 protesters were gathered in the area.

  3. Paris Is Burning Over Climate Change Taxes — Is America Next?

The City of Lights, Paris, has been illuminated in recent days by cars set alight by thousands of protesting “Yellow Vests”—largely middle class people who earn their living by driving or who commute to get to work. The cause of their ire is a scheduled 25 cents-per-gallon increase in gas taxes, and about 10 cents on diesel, to fight climate change.

French President Macron, deeply unpopular, just reversed course on the new green tax—Parisians are already paying about $7.06 per gallon for gasoline, almost half of that in taxes.

If Paris streets burned over a proposed 25 cents per gallon climate change tax, imagine the global conflagration over a $49 per gallon tax.

    • This one is opposing any carbon tax saying that freedom (personal and economic) lead to innovation which will lead to technology that will do what the carbon tax is suppose to do. This is something the Dems and other big government types ignore in their zeal to virtue signal by passing laws that lead to massive economic stagnation and as is shown in France rebellion.

  4. Police clash with ‘yellow vest’ protesters in Paris

ARIS (Reuters) – French riot police clashed with “yellow vest” protesters in central Paris on Saturday during the latest wave of demonstrations against high living costs which have shaken President Emmanuel Macron’s authority.

Protesters played a cat-and-mouse game with riot police, moving from the heavily guarded Champs Elysees area to other parts of the city, setting cars, garbage bins and wooden shutters on fire. More than 30 people were injured.

Authorities said some 8,000 people were demonstrating in Paris, where 600 people had been searched and briefly arrested. More than 500 of them remained in custody after police found they carried potential weapons such as hammers, baseball bats and metal balls used in the French lawn game petanque.

Some 31,000 people were demonstrating across France.

Police fired tear gas, used water cannon and horses to charge at protesters, but there was less violence than last week, when rioters torched 112 cars and looted shops in the worst rioting in Paris since May 1968.

        • Paris is the key, if Paris devolves into a civil war the rest of the nation will follow, if it doesn’t get that bad Macron and the present Government may survive.

  5. If anyone needs to take a break from events in France, I would like to suggest going over to You Tube and checking out: “Rex Murphy at Manning Conference”. He’s introduced briefly by Jason Kenney.
Rex Murphy, one of the few people that can tell you the grim truth and make you laugh at the same time. I’ve watched this three times already and it’s still funny, and making far too much sense.

Our Declaration of Independence says our Rights come from God.
    Our rights thus pre-date & pre-exist the U.S. Constitution.

That cowardly, ambushing türd got off way too easy. Let’s all hope that he, once again, demonstrates such poor impulse control (without killing anyone) and gets his probation revoked. I’ll laugh and point as he gets his cheap-shot butt thrown in prison. Maybe there he can have deep philosophical discussions with his federally funded substandard room mates while he languishes in his federally funded substandard housing. He might even use that opportunity to make all sorts of new “friends”.
