  2. A useful synopsis of the French situation complete with attributions and sources.

Raising fuel prices because of a radical, unproven, “closed-science” ideology that human behavior is driving climate change is insanity. Amazingly, Macron wants his people to “eat cake” again. He justifies his behavior by branding those who don’t believe in his extremist environmentalist religion as heretics. How will such elitists pull this off in more northern climates? Sweden, Finland, Dystopia?

Is it best to let heretics freeze in the dark or burn at the stake?

    • europravda – Misinformation on social media as ‘Yellow vest’ protests continue

We bring you the reality behind a video which yellow jacket protesters claim showed police standing with them in solidarity.

    • What are protesters planing for Paris on Saturday?

[…]Protests planned for next weekend under the name Acte IV (Act 4) refer to the fact that this could be the fourth weekend of protests in France.

A pinned post for one Facebook event planned for this Saturday, shows the yellow vest movement apparently “at the top of its game” in video footage of fights between protesters and police near the Arc du Triomphe filmed last weekend.

In the discussion for the event, Acte 4 – Vous avez carte blanche à Paris (Act 4: You have free reign in Paris), over 1,000 people have confirmed they will be attending and 6,000 have said they are interested, suggesting that protesters are gearing up for more violent conflict with the authorities this weekend.

“Stop telling us to be peaceful… why should we act like reasonable people when the government doesn’t?” one wrote.

Another added, “in the event of Act 4 the police will have the army and security companies with them. They want nothing more or less than a war.”

Many yellow vest organisers are invoking France’s revolutionary history as justification for more unrest in the streets this coming weekend.

Another Facebook event “Acte IV: Aux Armes Citoyens”, taking place at the Eiffel tower on Saturday morning, is named after the famous line from the national anthem encouraging citizens to take up arms. The event has more than 3,000 confirmed attendees and a further 21,000 interested in going.

Appropriately, one commenter plans “to bring Molotov cocktails to force the barricades!”

While another, anticipating police clashes, has called on “all people who are able to give first aid, put a big red cross on the back and front of your yellow vest. We’re going to need you.”

A total of 13,000 protesters have either confirmed or are thinking of attending the “Acte 4: Appel National” (Act 4: National Call) in the capital, with commenters in the event discussion drawing comparisons between today’s yellow vest protests and the infamous period of civil unrest in France during May 1968.

While protests are being planned at famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Place de la Bastille, some yellow vests are also calling for more targeted action.

They have suggested taking the protests to wealthy areas of Paris and the headquarters of news outlets BFM TV and TF1, who they feel have “discredited the movement” with news coverage biased against the yellow vests.

Non-violent protests are also being planned in the capital on December 8th, but even among this group it seems there is support for the “hooligans” and all the media coverage they have received.

One yellow vest posted, “it’s thanks to them that we are being heard.”

French police call for army to help quell riots amid warnings of ‘pre-revolutionary’ unrest

[…]David Le Bars, secretary general of the police chiefs’ union SCPN, said soldiers should be drafted in as “reinforcements” to free up riot police against highly mobile vandals.

Up to 10,000 troops have been patrolling sensitive sites around France since the 2015 Paris terror attacks but have not been used to protect landmarks during demonstrations.

“We must accept to free up security forces from a static form. We’re no longer talking about classic demonstrations but a phenomenon of urban guerrilla,” said Mr Le Bars.

[…]With thousands of “yellow vests” continuing to block roads around France, some 4,000 lorries were stuck on the border or Spain, said local Catalan authorities.

Food industry representatives warned that the blockages risked causing €13.5bn over the festive season while hauliers said they had already lost €400m.

[…]Marine Le Pen, head of the far-Right National Rally, warned Mr Macron had “only a few more hours” to stop the revolt spiralling out of control.

Without “important, audible and immediate” measures, she predicted, he risked becoming “the first president in half a century to give the order to fire on French people.”

  3. Shadow banking is the rehypothication of tangible assets. Rehypothicating the rehypothicated is the modern banking criminal enterprise.

    https://usawatchdog.com/

This is the third leg of the stool–the Keynesian crime that has financed the Redgreens. Once it breaks all hell breaks loose. Take this information to the bank.

    • Shadow banking is the rehypothication of tangible assets. Rehypothicating the rehypothicated is the modern banking criminal enterprise.

Your interesting notion of “rehypothication” has striking similarities to the market for derivatives. This one financial sleight-of-hand threatens to crash the entire global economy. For those who do not believe it, please consult the following chart at this link:

Here’s all the money in the world, in one chart

NOTE: Scroll down, past the puny silver, cryptocurrency, actual US currency and gold holdings and get to the juicy stuff, like the global money supply, world debt, and transnational real estate summaries. Then, take your blood pressure medication and run down to the derivatives block (at the bottom). Pay close attention to the right-hand column of explanatory squibs.

No spoilers here. Go look for yourself. There’s nothing I can say that will adequately describe, or even prepare you for, the flabbergasting degree to which all planetary assets have been subjected to drastic, speculative, over-leveraging. Only Charles Ponzi would have the slightest appreciation for what global banking has done to rape out our planet’s civilization.

      • Obama and company reinflated the derivatives bubble and it is much bigger then it was before the previous collapse.

    • Once it breaks all hell breaks loose. Take this information to the bank.

When the French government staged riots spread to Germany the Bank will probably try and destroy the evidence. Probably blame hackers os some such.

    • Thanks Richard. A lucid description of how Keynes deludes people into a sense of false wealth. Rude awakenings in store.

      • Rude awakenings in store.

Speaking of “in store” experiences … Normally I wouldn’t mind inflation so much, but why does it have to hit just now, right when prices are so high?

      • Reality is knocking on the door but the delusional left refuses to listen to the knock, soon it will break down the door.

    • With his usual intellectual agility, Molyneux nimbly skirts the deeper, root cause issue. He, quite rightly, mirrors this basic problem in the virtue signalling of Western “infinite resource” believers. They perfectly reflect the West’s subverting commercial engines that are driving the fallacious notion of infinite markets.

NOTE: The following is an apocryphal tale but one that, nonetheless, remains rather instructive with respect to Infinite Markets.

An Avon cosmetics executive was being interviewed sometime around 1990 about expanded business prospects in Communist China, which had yet to join the WTO (World Trade Organization). He was quoted as saying, “Imagine a country of 600 million women who don’t wear makeup!

Despite strong market penetration—”more than 6,000 Avon exclusive stores, more than 1,500 counters in many big department stores, and over 300 warehouse counters“—and partially due to similarly modeled competition (e.g., Mary Kay, Amway), Avon’s Red China take in 2011 was less than $300 million USD. For a company whose profit and loss statement for 2017 totaled $3.24B, this paltry $300 million is a fart in a (Red Chinese) windstorm.

The literal Bottom Line™ is that, like so many other American corporations, Avon anticipated a near-infinite market and, instead, most likely encountered the usual Sino-business strategy of, “buy one, reverse engineer it, and then manufacture the product domestically”. Even cutting those corners wasn’t enough for greedy Beijing Mandarins such that only demands for technology sharing and disclosure of intellectual property could satisfy hyper-corrupt Communist China’s ravening appetite for economic domination.

We’ll leave that rant for another time.

To continue: Molyneux eloquently differentiates between finite and infinite resources—an important distinction now blurred by the incredible productivity of limited resource Western Civilization (especially that of historical Northern Europe)—but none of this, despite his mention of “fruit salad” and abundant game in “tropical” climes, addresses the true problem.

The real issue is one of Forward Time Projection (i.e., forecasting and preplanning). This evolutionarily enforced trait was powerfully engraved on the Northern European mind by cyclic, annual (wintertime) food shortages that were not experienced in more southern regions.

Although Molyneux adroitly refers to the fable about “The Grasshopper and the Ant”, it is one of the only (and indirect at that) allusions he makes to the real problem at hand.

IQ testing of sub-Saharan Africans reveals an average of somewhere around 80 points. This is borderline semi-retarded.

For most people, this is an exceptionally uncomfortable subject because, more often than not, it immediately descends in to arguments over Racial Intelligence and other such handwaving. Screw that noise. If further proof is required, just look at the (all-too-often criminal) behavior of sub-Saharan “immigrants” predators in modern-day Europe. Furthermore, the intensely dilapidated state of nearly all sub-Saharan nations is additional evidence as to this lack of Forward Time Projection.

It all boils down to brains. In this particular case of disastrous EU migrant policies, it is Postmodernism’s voluntary suppression of hard-won logic, a parallel refusal to recognize or anticipate easily predicted consequences, and an entrenched yet mistaken belief regarding infinite resources that has created, as Fjordman puts it, the “candy store with the busted lock”.

If anyone has a better explanation, I’m all ears.

    • DeepState is working hand-in-glove with the MB. That means CIA, media, many powerful Congress-critters (on both sides of the aisle).

As long as that’s the case, we won’t see a resolution to many of our hotspots overseas. Europe will trend more rapidly to central tardish domination. It’ll take the form of current democracies, but they’ll be increasingly like the AKP, the Justice and Development Party of Turkey.

We’ll continue our disastrous bungling of the war in Mesopotamia and the Levant. Libya will not be stable, will not control African migration routes to the Med.

          • Some quick cocktail napkin calculations indicate that the arrival of Allen Welsh Dulles, the first civilian Director of Central Intelligence—after its transition from “Wild Bill” Donovan’s rambunctious OSS (Office of Strategic Services)—is where to start looking for seeds of the Deep State’s germination. Allen’s older brother, John Foster Dulles, served as Secretary of State under Eisenhower.

There is little doubt that this key, blood relationship established a quasi-permanent pipeline between the White House and Washington’s intelligence community. Equally difficult to believe is that such an incredible power-tool would simply vaporize when either of them finally left office.

For more on this topic, I heartily recommend, “The Devil’s Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America’s Secret Government”, by David Talbot. This meticulously researched work contains more than a few alarming revelations and, knowingly or not, chronicles the Deep State’s dark origins.

Even more so in its final chapters, which are devoted to a methodical and factual analysis of JFK’s assassination—in which the author reaches some thoroughly disturbing conclusions.

            • Considering Diana West’s research, I’d say aspects back to FDR.
But, yes, the Dulles era could’ve shaped the Swamp as we know it today.

              • Considering Diana West’s research, I’d say aspects back to FDR.

Absolutely. The cadre of Commies in FDR’s administration would have done everything within their power to remain in place after any changes in the Oval Office. Definitely the beginnings of one sort of Deep State.

  4. Swedish Journo Says Tribe Was Right to Kill ‘White’ US Preacher, Triggers Debate (sputniknews, Dec 3, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/viral/201812031070342620-sweden-usa-missionary-white/

“In a much-critisised anti-white diatribe, one of Sweden’s most respected journalists argued it was “completely rational” for Sentinelse tribesmen to kill a US missionary who had travelled to their islands to proselytise.

Aftonbladet, one of Sweden’s most popular newspapers, has sparked outrage with an opinion piece by Peter Kadhammar, who defended the residents of Northern Sentinel Island who had greeted US missionary John Allen Chau with a torrent of arrows. Chau’s last words reportedly were “Jesus loves you.”

“Tragic, but they acted completely rationally”, Peter Kadhammar wrote. “Let in the white man, and your world is soon wiped out”, he added.

According to Kadhammar, the Sentinelese did exactly as residents of Australia, America, Africa and much of Asia should have done as soon as white newcomers rowed ashore. Subsequently, the journalist went on to describe the white legacy as “rifles, cannons, lies, senseless cruelty, ruthlessness, bribery, broken treaties, expulsions and imported diseases”.

“Our entire civilization is based on genocide. Only when the genocide policy reached our own continent did it become a criminal offence. It was at the Nuremberg tribunal after the Second World War”, Kadhammar wrote.

The Swedish journalist cited the example of the Inca people, who went from 12 million people to only two million following the Spanish invasion in 1532, the Aztecs, who went from 20 to two million, and the Taino people of the Caribbean who died out 68 years after Columbus’s landing.

Kadhammar’s article triggered polarising reactions among Swedes. “What’s wrong with all these journalists hating white people?” some wondered, while others joined him in condemning ‘white imperialism’ and agreed that the tribe ‘did the right thing’.

“Interesting reasoning. Aftonbladet, do you also apply the same logic to to the Muslims’ annexation of Sweden too? Otherwise, there article is baseless, it should be deleted and the writer dismissed”, user Curlingpappan tweeted.

“Now compare Kadhammar’s message with the following one: Let in men from Middle East and North Africa, and your world is soon wiped out”, another added.

“Right, so different peoples have different rights. Some may protect themselves, while other countries are basically doormats,” yet another user tweeted at the perceived double standards by Aftonbladet, which has been describing mass immigration to Sweden in a complimentary way.

Others called Kadhammar a ‘self-hater’ and pointed out that Chau was actually Asian. The late missionary had written on his Instagram page that his father came to the US as a refugee from the Cultural Revolution in communist China.

Kadhammar is a laureate of the Swedish Grand Prize for Journalism and other awards. Aftonbladet is one of Sweden’s leading daily newspapers; it describes itself as ‘independently Social Democrat’.”

    • In a much-critisised anti-white diatribe, one of Sweden’s most respected journalists argued it was “completely rational” for Sentinelse tribesmen to kill a US missionary who had travelled to their islands to proselytise.

Remember, Sweden isn’t just home to the Stockholm Syndrome, it also knowingly shelters ambulatory excrement like (North Korean adoptee, Sam Dol Lee) Tobias Hübinette—a cofounder of Expo Magazine—so that, way back in 1996 this türd could spew such evil as:

“To feel and even think that the white race is inferior in every conceivable way is natural with regards to its history and current actions. Let the Western countries of the white race perish in blood and suffering. Long live the multicultural, racially mixed and classless ecological society! Long live anarchy!”

Sweden has been opening its veins for a long, long time. The nation is almost like this world’s privileged little White girl sitting alone in an empty mansion, sniveling while she cuts herself and eats Tide pods. Eff knows, she’ll unlock the front door for anyone.

      • Gotta be paying off some _yuge_ karmic debt.

  5. Qatar QUITS OPEC after 57 years in HUGE SWIPE at Saudi Arabia as Middle East FURY rises (express, Dec 3, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1053564/Qatar-vs-Saudi-Arabia-World-War-3-news-oil-Middle-East-latest

“TENSIONS between Qatar and Saudi Arabia were ratcheted up today as Qatar took a HUGE swipe at its Middle Eastern rivals.

Qatar said today it was quitting OPEC from January to focus on its gas ambitions, taking a swipe at the group’s de facto leader Saudi Arabia and marring efforts to show unity before this week’s meeting of exporters to tackle an oil price slide.

Doha, one of OPEC’s smallest oil producers but the world’s biggest liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporter, is embroiled in a protracted diplomatic row with Saudi Arabia and some other Arab states.

Qatar said its decision was not driven by politics but in an apparent swipe at Riyadh, Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad al-Kaabi said: “We are not saying we are going to get out of the oil business but it is controlled by an organisation managed by a country.” He did not name the nation.

Al-Kaabi told a news conference that Doha’s decision “was communicated to OPEC” but said Qatar would attend the group’s meeting on Thursday and Friday, and would abide by its commitments.

He said Doha would focus on its gas potential because it was not practical for Qatar “to put efforts and resources and time in an organisation that we are a very small player in and I don’t have a say in what happens.”

Delegates at OPEC, which has 15 members including Qatar, sought to play down the impact. But losing a long-standing member undermines a bid to show a united front before a meeting that is expected to back a supply cut to shore up crude prices that have lost almost 30 percent since an October peak.

“They are not a big producer, but have played a big part in it’s (OPEC) history,” one OPEC source said.

It highlights the growing dominance over policy making in the oil market of Saudi Arabia, Russia and the United States, the top world’s three oil producers which together account for almost a third of global output.

Riyadh and Moscow have been increasingly deciding output policies together, under pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump on OPEC to bring down prices. Benchmark Brent is trading at around $62 a barrel, down from more than $86 in October.

“It could signal a historic turning point of the organisation towards Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United States,” said Algeria’s former energy minister and OPEC chairman, Chakib Khelil, commenting on Qatar’s move.

He said Doha’s exit would have a “psychological impact” because of the row with Riyadh and could prove “an example to be followed by other members in the wake of unilateral decisions of Saudi Arabia in the recent past.”

Qatar, which Al-Kaabi said had been a member of OPEC for 57 years, has oil output of just 600,000 barrels per day (bpd), compared with Saudi Arabia’s 11 million bpd.

But Doha is an influential player in the global LNG market with annual production of 77 million tonnes per year, based on its huge reserves of the fuel in the Gulf.

OPEC members Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and fellow Arab states Bahrain and Egypt, have imposed a political and economic boycott on Qatar since June 2017, accusing it of supporting terrorism. Doha denies the charges and says the boycott aims to impinge on its sovereignty.

Al-Kaabi, who is heading Qatar’s OPEC delegation, said the decision was not political but related to the country’s long-term strategy and plans to develop its gas industry and increase LNG output to 110 million tonnes by 2024.

“A lot of people will politicise it,” Al-Kaabi said. “I assure you this purely was a decision on what’s right for Qatar long term. It’s a strategy decision.”

Oil surged about 5 percent on Monday after the United States and China agreed to a 90-day truce in their trade war, but prices remain well off October’s peak.

Asked if Qatar’s withdrawal would complicate OPEC’s decision this week, a non-Gulf OPEC source said: “Not really, even if it’s a regrettable and sad decision from one of our member countries.”

Amrita Sen, chief oil analyst at consultancy Energy Aspects, said Qatar’s withdrawal “doesn’t affect OPEC’s ability to influence as Qatar was a very small player.”

Al-Kaabi said Qatar Petroleum planned to raise its production capability from 4.8 million barrels oil equivalent per day to 6.5 million barrels in the next decade. Doha also plans to build the largest ethane cracker in the Middle East.

He said Qatar would still look to expand its oil investments abroad and would “make a big splash in the oil and gas business”.”

    • Qatar said today it was quitting OPEC from January to focus on its gas ambitions, taking a swipe at the group’s de facto leader Saudi Arabia and marring efforts to show unity before this week’s meeting of exporters to tackle an oil price slide.

Let the MME (Muslim Middle East) petroleum cannibalism begin!

Only a business-oriented person like Trump could so precisely inflict sufficient amounts of genuine pain (i.e., serious financial losses) by helping cause things like how, “Benchmark Brent is trading at around $62 a barrel, down from more than $86 in October.”

A drop in per barrel oil pricing exceeding 25 percent isn’t just a demand hiccup or cash-flow ripple, it’s a financial riptide that can topple entire governments. Why else would MbS—whilst attending the G20 summit in Buenos Aires—import into Riyadh during his absence troops (NOT reinforcements) from the outer provinces?.

While nowhere near the state of desperation and deprivation being experienced in Iran, MbS’s somewhat abrupt departure from the longstanding Wahhabist rut track (e.g., women [gasp] driving cars!) must certainly have represented a degree of internal destabilization—if not hacking off some of the most powerful clerical Poohbahs that The Magic Kingdom™ has on offer.

Seemingly off topic (but not really): In the marketing and sales departments, they have an old abbreviation—incidentally, why is “abbreviation” such a long word?—that reads FUD. It stands for Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt. Instilling this triumvirate (or even just one) of such distracting perceptions into a competitor’s thinking can be a real stick in their proverbial spokes.

Methinks that this is what President Trump is setting about (i.e., instilling FUD). That +25 percent drop in oil pricing was more than just a “shot across the bow” for OPEC, it came close to a hull-breach at the waterline. Likewise, an obviously relieved Communist China accepting a 90 day hiatus in the Sino-American trade wars signals that Beijing blinked. Similarly, we have Mexico footing the bill for repatriating Caravan border trolls—even as Tijuana officials, with no apparent sense of irony or embarrassment, echoed decades of sentiments that patriotic Americans have been screaming about for years.

Taken together, all of this represents Trump upsetting the global applecart in a manner unprecedented with respect to recent US history. In the political eyeblink of just two years, OPEC, Red China, and Mexico—a trio of perpetual thorns in America’s collective side—have been brought to heel. This is more than a minor achievement. It may as well be a bloody MIRACLE!

      • I think both the Qatar-OPEC divorce and the PT-Xi “agreement” are FAR less important.

Qatar oil production is relatively miniscule. And OPEC has become largely irrelevant. Neither the US nor Russia – the biggest producers with Saudi Arabia – are members of OPEC. On the other hand, Venezuela and Iran still belong to the club.

Though PT will no doubt inflate the G-20 China pseudo-agreement.
Fentanyl? That’s a trivial “win” tossed to PT, he’s allowed to safe “face”. MUCH will depend on enforcement, and that’s iffy.

Xi bought a delay; neither leader wants to crash the stock-market before Christmas/Chinese New Year. PT hasn’t wrung out great concessions from the predator. Xi needs our agricultural exports; they’ll help offset our deficit, but that sector is much less fraught than manufacturing and tech.

China cheats. The conclusion of any “deal” is just the beginning of real negotiations. They’ll go as slowly as possible, try and wait out PT. Throw everything they’ve got into defeating him in 2020. (They’ve got a lot.)

They won’t stop IP-theft, they haven’t even SLOWED it in the face of our challenges.

        Read this, it’s grim (11.20.2018):

  6. EU countries mass BOYCOTT of UN meeting making MIGRATION a HUMAN RIGHT (express, Dec 3, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1053577/migration-law-rejected-european-union-united-nations-new-policies-human-rights

“A NEW United Nations initiative to class migration as a HUMAN RIGHT is being boycotted by European Union (EU) member states, including Italy, France and Austria, who have all rejected the proposals in favour of tougher border controls.

This week’s unveiling of UN proposals for universal migrant rights is being treated with such suspicion that only Britain, Holland and Denmark have signed up unreservedly. The so-called UN Global Compact for Migration aims to set out universal rights and conditions for migrants – but one Member of the European Parliament has pointed out that of adopted then even the criticising of the very concept of migration would be considered a hate crime. Italy, a nation tacking a huge migrant influx, was furious about the new ‘meddling’ legislation and refused to attend the meeting in Marrakech on December 10 and 11.

Now other EU nation states have joined the backlash saying migration is an issue for national governments not the UN.

The UN’s Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration was provisionally approved by UN members in July.

President Donald Trump, who has maintained a hardline response to immigration in the US. Was not a fan.

The UK, Netherlands and Denmark have all said they are supportive of the pact, which was announced by MEP Marcus de Graff.

But the compact has since been rejected by UN states such as Austria, Poland, Israel, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Australia, Slovakia and Hungary.

The Migration Policy Institute says Conservative political parties in Germany, France, Italy and Denmark have denounced the deal.

EU analysts have warned a bloc wide rebuff of the pact will undermine future efforts to deal with migration crisis’ similar to the one experienced in 2015-2016, when thousands of refugees flooded into Europe from Syria and Afghanistan.

But Hanne Bierins of the Migration Policy Institute Europe think tank, criticised the UN-devised pact.

Mr Bierins said: “Now we threaten to go down a road where people can pretend this unilateral approach is not only feasible but desirable. But a containment policy of managing borders will only last so long until it falters.”

Austria, who has seen a rise in anti-immigration politics, accused the UN of “mixing up” asylum seekers with valid claims with so-called economic migrants looking for work.

The UN Global Compact for Migration was launched on September 19 2016 during a summit on migrants and refugees.

The pact’s main objectives include making migration easier, boosting international efforts for safe passage in order to save lives, and minimising environmental factors.

The deal would also improve border management, provide basic services to migrants and ramp up laws against perceived as “anti-migration hate crimes”.

The participating countries are set to sign the agreement in Marrakech and although this joint agreement is not binding it is still meant to be the legal framework on which the participating countries commit themselves in order to build new legislation.

On Saturday, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said decisions over migration were a matter for national governments.

In a statement on behalf of the Italian government he said: “Italy reserves the right to adhere to this document or not only after the parliament has decided. The migration pact is a document that deals with issues and questions our citizens are concerned by.

      https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/eu-migration-chief-urges-opponents-pact-reconsider-59569602

“The European Union’s migration commissioner is calling on member countries that have turned against a U.N.-backed migration pact to reconsider their opposition.

A conference in Marrakech, Morocco on Dec. 10-11 is due to approve the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which was finalized in July with only the U.S. staying out. But the non-binding accord is drawing strong opposition from nationalists in Europe and elsewhere, and EU countries including Hungary, Austria and Poland have since pulled out or expressed reservations.

EU Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos was quoted Monday as telling German daily Die Welt that he doesn’t understand opposition to the pact, which he said forces nothing on anyone. He urged countries rejecting the accord to rethink their opposition in the coming days and join up.”

  8. ISIS Group’s NYC New Year’s Threat: ‘Harvest Them with Silencers and Snipers’

An ISIS-supporting media group threatened New York City attacks for New Year’s with suggested tactics including snipers and package bombs.

The latest threat circulated online follows other message from jihadists that have specifically cited Jan. 1 in calling for attacks.

One poster distributed online in mid-November superimposed a masked jihadist wielding a bloody knife over a collage of images from the 2016 Berlin Christmas market attack. It stated that New Year’s Day is “the date of retribution.”

Shortly after that, an ISIS-backing media group released an image of a demolished cityscape with multiple fires, warning, “Soon, Allah willing, the disbelievers will see the very thing they feared: 1-1-2019.”

That same group just released an image of an armed jihadist overlooking New York, stating the city named with a blood-splashed 1/1/2019.

  11. Anti-Macron Protests Spread, Ambulance Workers Join Rebellion

More than one hundred ambulance drivers protested in Paris Monday morning, as France’s President Emmanuel Macron faces mounting pressure from populous movements inspired by the Yellow Jackets.

Paramedics blocked the Place de la Concorde near the National Assembly in downtown Paris at 5:30 am local time, blaring their sirens and holding banners condemning government-mandated industry reforms, reports France Info.

Protesters set tires on fire in the street while others chanted “Macron resign!” according to the Associated Press. One protester held a placard reading “the State killed me.”

    • France: Ambulance workers block central Paris in protest over reforms

At least 100 ambulance workers used their vehicles to block roads in central Paris on Monday, to demand the suspension of a new medical transport finance reform which they say undercuts smaller ambulance companies.

Ambulances were parked up in Place de la Concorde and on a nearby bridge, close to the National Assembly, with paramedics screeching sirens and blocking access to the square from Rue de Rivoli.

Ambulance workers are demanding the withdrawal of artice 80 of the Social Security Finance Act, through which hospitals and clinics are able to choose their ambulance service providers via competitive bidding, and to pay for them directly. Previously, patients had the choice of preferred provider.

According to the protesters, the new system would favour larger transport companies since smaller firms would not be able to compete on price.

  13. Poland: ‘Continuation of civilization is in your hands’ – Attenborough tells world leaders at COP24

UK natural historian and broadcaster David Attenborough urged world leaders to take the initiative on climate change in order to save the planet, during the annual UN Climate Change Conference (COP24) summit in the Polish city of Katowice on Sunday.

“If we don’t take action, the collapse of our civilisations and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon,” Attenborough said.

Attenborough attended the conference representing the general public, just a week after launching ‘The People’s Seat’, a UN initiative to get the public involved with the climate summit.

World leaders at the COP24 hope to adopt a roadmap and put into practice the 2015 Paris climate agreement to slow climate change. The UN Climate Change Conference will run in Katowice until Friday, December 14.

Arnold Schwarzenegger says he wishes he could travel back in time like the cyborg he played in “The Terminator” so he could stop fossil fuels from being used.

“If we would’ve never started in that direction and used other
technology, we’d be much better off,” the actor and former
California governor said December 3 at the start of a U.N. climate
      conference in Poland.

“The biggest evil is fossil fuels: it’s coal, it’s gasoline, it’s the natural gas,” he told conference delegates.

Schwarzenegger also insisted that the United States was “still in” an international accord to curb global warming despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to walk away from the agreement.

Calling Trump “meshugge” – Yiddish for “crazy” – for abandoning the accord, Schwarzenegger said the 2015 agreement has widespread support at the local and state levels even if the federal government isn’t on board.

SHOCKING footage shows a cowering protester being battered by baton-wielding French police who chased him down a Parisian street during violent riots in the city.

Officers are also seen kicking the man in the clip which was filmed near the Champs-Elysees during Saturday’s carnage – which is the worst in Paris for 50 years.

Police have called for President Macron to send in the Army after central Paris was overrun at the weekend by the “Yellow vest” protestors who were joined by right-wing thugs and masked-anarchists.

In the disturbing video, the unnamed man is chased by cops in Rue de Berri, a half-mile from the Arc de Triomphe, before being thrown to the ground by one officer.

Another six policemen then join him in kicking the demonstrator and striking him with batons.

  17. Mueller now sets his sights on Ivanka Trump
By Rusty Weiss December 3, 2018

Following Michael Cohen’s guilty plea for lying to Congress, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has reportedly pivoted his investigation to President Trump’s children, Ivanka and Donald Jr., for their alleged role in trying to secure a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Cohen testified that talks pertaining to a real estate deal in Moscow had “ended in January 2016” but in reality continued into June of that year.

Yahoo News reports that multiple sources confirm both Trump Jr., and First Daughter Ivanka, a top White House adviser, “were also working to make Trump Tower Moscow a reality.”

“Michael was looking at that deal,” one source said. “Don and Ivanka knew about it and Don testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee that he was peripherally aware of it.”

Three Virginia businessmen — including Abul Huda Farouki, a major Democrat donor who contributed to Bill and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama — were charged with violating US sanctions on Iran and for conspiring to defraud the US government through a shady Pentagon contract.

The Department of Justice said the contractor, the Dubai-based Anham, lied to the Pentagon in 2011 in order to win an $8 billion, 10-year contract to supply food to U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the DOJ announced. At the time, Barack Obama was president and Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.

The three men indicted on charges of fraud, conspiracy, and money-laundering were:

Abul Huda Farouki, a Clinton donor and former CEO of Anham.
Abul ‘s younger brother, Mazen Farouki, who oversaw Anham’s Afghanistan affiliate.
Salah Maarouf, a businessman from Fairfax, Virginia.
In order to reduce costs on the construction of two warehouses in Bagram Air Field in Afghanistan (so they could pocket higher profits), the Farouki brothers and Maarouf shipped steel through Iran — which is currently under sanctions by the U.S. government.

Conservative author Jerome Corsi on Monday filed a “criminal and ethics complaint” against Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team, accusing investigators of trying to bully him into giving “false testimony” against President Trump.

The complaint, which Corsi had threatened for days, is the latest escalation between Mueller’s team and its investigation targets.

The 78-page document, asserting the existence of a “slow-motion coup against the president,” was filed to a range of top law enforcement officials including Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, D.C.’s U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu and the Bar Disciplinary Counsel.

Great Deal for the EU, Not the UK
On November 26, Trump proclaimed the Brexit Agreement ‘Sounds Like a Great Deal for the EU’.

“I think we have to take a look at seriously whether or not the U.K. is allowed to trade. Because, you know, right now if you look at the deal, they may not be able to trade with us and that wouldn’t be a good thing.”

May Refuses to Publish Brexit Deal Legal Advice
Theresa May has refused for over a week to post the legal review of the Brexit agreement she signed. Instead she posted allegedly “sufficient” excerpts on which Parliament could make a decision.

According to the Guardian, the excerpts “will be sufficient information for any MP to make up their mind on the legal aspects of the deal before the upcoming five-day debate, and that it keeps to the protocol that full advice is seen as confidential between lawyer and client.”

    4 MIN READ

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed a challenge by three conservation groups to the authority of President Donald Trump’s administration to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, a victory for Trump who has made the wall a centerpiece of his hardline immigration policies.

The justices’ declined to hear the groups’ appeal of a ruling by a federal judge in California rejecting their claims that the administration had pursued border wall projects without complying with applicable environmental laws. The groups are the Center for Biological Diversity, the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Defenders of Wildlife.

Their lawsuits said construction operations would harm plants, rare wildlife habitats, threatened coastal birds like the snowy plover and California gnatcatcher, and other species such as fairy shrimp and the Quino checkerspot butterfly.

Brian Segee, an attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity, said he was disappointed that the court would not hear the case.

And they are pressuring him and creating a real risk that the man might commit perjury.

  31. Brazilian lawmakers are gearing up to push gun reforms that will recognize citizens’ right to own guns for self-defense.
The goal of peeling back gun control took center stage when it became evident that Jair Bolsonaro would win Brazil’s presidential election. Bolsonaro, a former Army Captain who ran as a law and order candidate, is now president-elect.

On October 19, Bloomberg quoted Bolsonaro defending his support of private firearm ownership, saying, “Why have I always defended the ownership of firearms? It’s so that you, upstanding citizens, with a few requirements, can have a weapon inside your house or your farm. If some guy breaks down the door to your house, knocks down the gate of your farm, you have the right to react.”

In anticipation of Bolsonaro’s win, a bill was crafted to ease taxes on firearms and lower the legal purchase age from 25 to 21. Moreover, the bill would, as a matter of law, recognize Brazilians’ “right to own and bear firearms for legitimate self-defense and the protection of personal property.”

On December 1, the New York Times reported that Brazilians are now flocking for firearms training in preparation for broader access to firearms for self-defense.

Well over half of France’s citizens believe their country accepts too many immigrants, comprehensive poll data published Saturday by the French weekly Journal du Dimanche has shown.

According to the poll, conducted by Ifop in partnership with the Jean-Jaures Foundation and the American Jewish Committee, 52 percent of French men and women believe that France welcomes “too many foreigners”. Another 27 percent believe France welcomes “enough”. Taken together, some 79 percent of the country’s citizens believe France does not need any more immigrants.

Similarly, 64 percent of those surveyed agreed with the sentiment that “our country already has many foreigners, and welcoming additional immigrants would be undesirable”. 77 percent of respondents said they fear that a policy that is too welcoming of immigrants will end up attracting even more immigration; 71 percent believe excessive migration will lead to a decline in wages due to migrants’ willingness to work for low pay.

It appears that special counsel Robert Mueller withheld key information in its plea deal with Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, which would exonerate Trump and undermine the entire purpose of the special counsel, according to Paul Sperry of RealClearInvestigations.

Cohen pleaded guilty last week to lying to the Senate intelligence committee in 2017 about the Trump Organization’s plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow – telling them under oath that negotiations he was conducting ended five months sooner than they actually did.

Mueller, however, in his nine-page charging document filed with the court seen by Capitol Hill sources, failed to include the fact that Cohen had no direct contacts at the Kremlin – which undercuts any notion that the Trump campaign had a “backchannel” to Putin.

On page 7 of the statement of criminal information filed against Cohen, which is separate from but related to the plea agreement, Mueller mentions that Cohen tried to email Russian President Vladimir Putin’s office on Jan. 14, 2016, and again on Jan. 16, 2016. But Mueller, who personally signed the document, omitted the fact that Cohen did not have any direct points of contact at the Kremlin, and had resorted to sending the emails to a general press mailbox. Sources who have seen these additional emails point out that this omitted information undercuts the idea of a “back channel” and thus the special counsel’s collusion case. -RCI

Page 2 of the same charging document offers further evidence that there was no connection between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin; an August 2017 letter from Cohn to the Senate intelligence committee states that Trump “was never in contact with anyone about this [Moscow Project] proposal other than me,” an assertion which Mueller does not contest as false – which means that “prosecutors have tested its veracity through corroborating sources” and found it to be truthful, according to Sperry’s sources. Also unchallenged by Mueller is Cohen’s statement that he “ultimately determined that the proposal was not feasible and never agreed to make a trip to Russia.”

  36. Following more than a year of hard-fought litigation in the hostile Ninth Circuit, Young America’s Foundation secured victory for free speech against the University of California, Berkeley. Through YAF’s lawsuit and subsequent settlement agreement executed over the weekend, UC Berkeley agreed to the following terms set by Young America’s Foundation:

    1) Pay Young America’s Foundation $70,000.

    2) Rescind the unconstitutional “high-profile speaker policy.”

    3) Rescind the viewpoint-discriminatory security fee policy.

    4) Abolish its heckler’s veto—protestors will no longer be able to shut down conservative expression.

This landmark victory for free expression means UC Berkeley can no longer wantonly treat conservative students as second-class members of its community while ignoring the guaranteed protections of the First Amendment.

No longer can UC Berkeley place a 3:00 p.m. curfew on conservative speech. No longer can UC Berkeley ban advertisements for Young America’s Foundation-sponsored campus lectures. And no longer can UC Berkeley relegate conservative speakers to remote or inconvenient lecture halls on campus while giving leftist speakers access to preferred locations.

  37. The University of California Berkeley student government voted to financially fund the migrant caravan in a resolution passed by the student senate on Wednesday night.
The Associated Students of the University of California (ASUC) voted for “financially contributing to [migrants’] legal fees and health services” by immediately allocating $1,500 to the student organization Central Americans For Empowerment (CAFE).

Thereafter, the CAFE student group plans to appropriate those funds to the organization “Freedom for Immigrants,” an advocacy group for illegal immigration.

“The President of the United States closed all entry ports between Mexico and the United States to make a nationalist statement of power,” stated the resolution passed on Wednesday, “The United States, fueled by corporate greed, has strategically intervened in Central American politics and warfare.”

“Humans at the border are being attacked, and are being denied asylum, here in this country,” stated an individual who introduced herself as Arlette, a recent UC Berkeley graduate and co-founder of CAFE, “This is your one time to change — to actually represent [Central American] students, to actually care about their needs.”

  38. The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a challenge from 3 conservation groups to Trump’s border wall because it threatened endangered species and violated environmental laws.

The Supreme Court did not issue an opinion but by declining to hear the case it affirms the decision of U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel who said the government had the authority to wave the laws in favor of border protection.

Trump can ignore environmental laws to build border wall after Supreme Court declines to hear challenge

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday said it would decline to hear a challenge to the Trump administration’s proposed border wall brought by environmental groups who say construction could threaten endangered animals and violate environmental laws.

The groups asked the court to reject a 1996 law signed by President Bill Clinton that provides the executive branch with authority to waive environmental laws if those laws impede construction of barriers and roads near the border.

The law was expanded by Congress in 2005 to give the Department of Homeland Security authority to waive “all legal requirements” that could stand in the way of border construction.

The environmental groups said that the government’s ability to waive the laws is unconstitutional. The justices did not issue a ruling on that matter.

But because they will not hear the case, a February ruling by a federal judge in San Diego will remain in place.

  39. Over 14,500 Syrian Deserters Granted Pardon by Assad’s Decree – Russian MoD (sputniknews, Dec 3, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201812041070358508-syria-assad-decree-amnesty/

“More than 14,500 Syrians who evaded the duties of military service, including among refugees and former members of illegal armed groups, were granted amnesty in Syria as of December 2, head of the Russian Defense Ministry’s Center for Syrian reconciliation Lt. Gen. Sergei Solomatin said on Sunday.

“As part of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic B. Assad dated November 9, 2018, the Syrian authorities continue to work on amnesty for those who evade from military service, including those among refugees and former members of illegal armed groups. As for December 2, 2018, in total 14,522 were granted amnesty,” the statement says.

Solomatin also said that one ceasefire violation had been registered in the Idlib de-escalation zone over the past 24 hours, adding that militants attacked the village of Hifsin in the province of Hama.

The center calls on the commanders of the illegal armed groups to abandon armed provocations and take the path of peaceful settlement in the areas under their control, he added.

As the Syrian government has regained control over most of the country’s territories that were seized by terrorists, it is now focused on creating favorable conditions for repatriating refugees. Moscow is assisting Damascus in this, along with providing humanitarian aid to civilians and being a guarantor of the ceasefire.”

A New Order Emerges in Southern Syria as Assad Regains Control

The Assad regime has begun to settle accounts with former rebels in southwest Syria who worked with Israel during the years that this area was outside of regime control. 23 former rebel commanders and opposition activists in Deraa and Quneitra provinces have been detained or have disappeared after being apprehended by regime forces in recent weeks.

The emergent reality in Syria’s south is one in which it is difficult to discern where precisely the Syrian state ends and Iran and its allies begin.

By the end of 2011, the Syrian regime had lost control of the greater part of both provinces and in the subsequent six years, a flourishing post-regime reality came into being as the West sought to aid the development of rudimentary civil society structures to replace those of the Assad regime. All this came abruptly to an end by July 2018.

A recent report on the Syrian Observer website provided details of a large Iranian base under construction by the Iraqi militia Asaib Ahl al-Haq and Hizbullah in the Lajat area of Deraa province.

Evidence is also emerging of the presence of Hizbullah personnel and other pro-Iranian Shia militiamen in Syrian Arab Army uniforms among regime forces returning to the border area with the Golan Heights.

This is despite the nominal Russian commitment to keep such elements at least 85 kms. from the border.

  40. ‘Horrify and Terrify’: Daesh Threatens New York With Sniper Attacks, Bombs (sputniknews, Dec 3, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/world/201812031070356215-daesh-threatens-new-york-sniper-bomb/

“A media group supporting Daesh has threatened sniper attacks and package bombings in New York City over this New Year holiday.

A jihadist poster circulating around the internet called for a new set of attacks on January 1, PJ Media reported Sunday. In the poster, a masked jihadist is shown dangling a bloody knife over a collection of pictures from the 2016 Berlin Christmas market attack. The terrorist poster calls New Year’s Day “the day of retribution.”

Separately, a Daesh-backing media outfit released a picture of a demolished city skyline with fires burning all over. “Soon, Allah willing, the disbelievers will see the very thing they feared: 1 — 1 — 2019,” the text said, as reported by PJ Media counterterror expert Bridget Johnson this weekend.

“And hit them with the explosive belts and vehicle bomb, and shock them with adhesive
explosives and packages, and harvest them with silencers and snipers, horrify and terrify them with the intrusions,” the text on another recently released poster said.

In June 2018, Everitt Aaron Jameson, a 27-year-old man from California, pleaded guilty to charges that he had plotted to carry out a Christmas Day bombing and shooting attack in San Francisco, CBS News reported. Jameson confessed to attempts to aid a terrorist organization after making plans for the attack with undercover FBI agents, who Jameson thought were part of Daesh. Jameson admitted his plan was to use pipe bombs to funnel people onto Pier 39, a magnet for tourists, where he planned to them shoot them en masse. Jameson, an ex-truck driver and former US Marine, received a prison sentence of 15 years.”

  41. NYC: Orthodox Jewish teenager severely beaten in Queens, is apparently in a coma

These kinds of attacks on Jews are rampant in Europe – the consequence of large-scale Muslim immigration and the left’s increasingly open and strident hostility to Israel and to Jews in general (as evidenced recently by the notorious genocidal remarks of Marc Lamont Hill). Europe’s Jews are forced to hide their faith in public, for fear of violence from Muslims. Jewish day schools in Europe look like prisons. Barbed-wire fences and security guards are a regular part of many Jewish children’s school day. A number of school administrators have come forth recently to confirm that they recommend Jewish children should not enroll at their schools. A Belgian insurance company has refused to insure Jewish kindergartens. The risk of a terror attack on these institutions was too high.
