  1. Ex-Muslim Christian Pastor, Refugee From Iran, Arrested for Sharing His Testimony — in Minnesota
    BY TYLER O’NEIL SEPTEMBER 4, 2018 CHAT 354 COMMENTS

Late last month, Ramin Parsa, a Christian pastor who fled Iran as a religious refugee, was arrested for privately sharing his faith testimony in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. He fled persecution in Iran and Turkey, only to find persecution in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

“I came to the U.S. as a political and religious — as a Christian — refugee. They oppressed me for my faith in Iran. I was stabbed in Iran,” Parsa told PJ Media in an interview on Tuesday. Then last week, he was arrested for a private conversation about his faith, handcuffed to a metal chair for four hours without water, and later charged with trespassing.

“These things might happen in other countries, oppressive dictatorships, but not in America,” the pastor said.

Parsa, a pastor at Redemptive Love Ministries International in Los Angeles, Calif., traveled to Minnesota for two days to visit two different churches. He went to the Mall of America (MOA) on Saturday, August 25, with an elder from one of the churches, and with the elder’s 14-year-old son. Shortly after entering the mall, he struck up a conversation with two Somali-American women.

“Our conversation was casual. At first, we were not talking about the gospel,” Parsa recalled. “They asked me, ‘Are you a Muslim?’ I said, ‘No, I used to be a Muslim and I’m a Christian now.’ I was telling them the story of how I converted.”

A passerby could not stand the discussion, however. “Another lady told the guard, ‘This guy is harassing us!'” MOA security came and told Parsa to stop soliciting. “I said, ‘We’re not soliciting.’ But we just left,” the pastor explained.

The pastor and his friends went into a coffee shop, bought a latte, and came out. Parsa told PJ Media he thought that would be the end of it. He was sorely mistaken.

“When we came out of the coffee shop, three guards were waiting for us, and they arrested me right there,” the pastor recalled. “They came after me and arrested me, and said, ‘You cannot talk religion here.'”

Parsa told security he was a pastor. “They told me, ‘We arrested pastors before,'” he recalled, still shocked by the answer. “It was something normal for them, they were used to it.”

Meanwhile, the two Somali-American women who wanted to hear the pastor’s story argued with the woman who reported him to security. They defended Parsa. Onlookers asked why the man was being arrested. “They said, ‘Because he’s a Christian,'” Parsa told PJ Media.

As women stroll past in burkas that make an infinitely louder “religious” statement.

CDC Caught Flying Diseased Caravan Migrants Into U.S. for Medical Treatment

According to F.A.A. flight data, a plane registered to the Center for Disease Control landed in San Diego to pick up diseased migrants at the border to fly them to Georgia where they will receive medical care paid for by the U.S. taxpayers:

CDC lands N71PG at Joe Foss Field San Diego to pick up sick illegals (Miramar MCAS)

    https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N71PG

The CDC flight N71PG eventually landed at Ft Benning, GA with its cargo of sick illegals and then flew back to its home base in Cartersville, GA. I think we will see many more flights bringing communicably sick illegals from the border to various military bases and then on to hospitals in the area. As you know, our government has been flying in dangerously ill illegals into the US for s long time…most especially from Africa. It is a classified program.

Aside from the sheer insanity of it, some questions spring to mind:

Checking MDR-TB (Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis) protocol?

Testing new super-anti-virals that fight ebola? (Or finding a resistant individual.)

Configuring a non-antibiotic disease control drug?

Creating new field-administered biological weapon responses?

  4. Many of you are familiar with a couple of congressional seats that were picked up by Muslim women and the first Muslim state attorney general put into office in Minnesota. What you may not realize is just how many political offices were filled by electing Muslims in 2018. Even more concerning is the high percentage of Muslims voting and their openness to promote the fact that they want to “change” our culture and society.

First, the information comes from JETPAC, which stands for Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center. According to their Mission Statement:

Jetpac (Justice Education Technology Political Advocacy Center) seeks to build a strong American Muslim political infrastructure and increase our community’s influence and engagement.

We will take our place at the table across all levels of government.

Our philosophy of change is rooted in a community-based approach, grassroots mobilization, civics training, and technology application. We have developed our own training curriculum, as well as proprietary social media technology and automation tools, to give our Fellows the skills and resources they need to win elections. 5. Illegal immigrants appeared to have “ambushed” two U.S. Border Patrol agents near the Texas border with Mexico and bashed their heads with blunt objects — possibly rocks — killing one agent and sending another to a hospital in serious condition Sunday, a National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) official told Fox News.

Rogelio Martinez, 36, was killed and another agent, who has not been identified, was injured while they were patrolling the Big Bend Sector, leading authorities to scour West Texas for the attackers, officials said. Although few details about the incident have been released, Brandon Judd, the president of the NBPC, told Fox News on Monday it appeared Martinez and the second agent were “ambushed” by a group of illegal immigrants.

“We don’t know exactly what happened because we weren’t there. However, just from agents that were working in the area, reports are saying it was an attack and it would appear to be an ambush,” Judd said.

  6. China Is Targeting Europe’s Most Vulnerable Countries for Belt and Road Debt Traps
MADRID, SPAIN – NOVEMBER 28: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez (R) shakes hands with Chinese President Xi Jinping after signing agreements between both countries at Moncloa Palace on November 28, 2018 in Madrid, Spain. Prior to landing in Madrid on Tuesday, Chinese Communist Party chief Xi Jinping published a Spanish-language editorial proclaiming that Spain had been a key stop on the ancient Silk Road “more than 2,000 years ago.”
In the modern day, he continued, Beijing’s Belt and Road project would remain incomplete without an anchor in Western Europe.

Xi’s plea to Spain, which he is expected to bring to Portugal later this week, is essentially to allow the Chinese communist regime to become an indispensable part of a functional Spanish economy. It is a proposal he has sold with tremendous success to indebted dictatorships throughout Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America – much to the chagrin of the Trump administration, which has ramped up efforts to warn the developing world away from Beijing’s “debt traps.” Yet those who have exposed China’s weaponizing of debt to take over key ports, roads, and railways in places like Kenya and Sri Lanka have largely ignored Xi’s efforts in Europe, where only the weakest economies seem to get invited to hop onboard the Belt and Road train.

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Xi’s plan to dominate the world’s most important trade routes, was launched in 2013 as a way for developing nations to have access to better transportation infrastructure while China expanded its influence around the world. China offered to lend billions to countries around the world if they agreed to allow Beijing to send workers to construct infrastructure projects ranging from ports to high-speed railways to maritime facilities allegedly aiding safe passage through remote waters.

    https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2018/11/28/china-is-targeting-europes-most-vulnerable-countries-for-belt-and-road-debt-traps/

    • In the modern day, he continued, Beijing’s Belt and Road project would remain incomplete without an anchor in Western Europe.

Then this is the one thing he must be denied. Spain’s lingering dalliance with Islam will only help inspire similar cupidity stupidity when it comes to dealing with a gangster like Xi “First One’s Free, Kid” Jinping.

Again, all of this only makes it even more urgent that Red China’s economy implodes like an old CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) hit with a .45 round..

    • At least they are going back to a serious caliber and away from one deisgend for 40 pound coyotes.

Historically wars are fought 20 to 2 years apart.

    • The link contains this comment by Edward Randall:

The 6.8 [mm] will not penetrate body armor. It uses the same lead slug that we got away from when we switched to the M855A1 and M80A1. They will have to spend alot of money to design another new round that won’t perform better than the M80A1. We need a way to use M80A1 and XM1158 armor piercing ammunition in a assault rifle. Our enemies would have to wear extremely heavy armor that would make them ineffective on the battlefield.

I recall from somewhere that it’s critical to neutralize an enemy’s personnel defensive measures. If the 6.8 mm squad automatic weapon won’t penetrate commonly used body armor, then it’s like having screen doors on a submarine.

Long, long ago, I advocated for laser weapons, cluster-bomb grenades, and anything else that gave American troops overwhelming offensive capabilities.

Even now, I continue hoping how, in the near future, US soldiers taking the field are so ferociously well-armed to where they routinely encounter foes that are in panic-stricken, pell-mell, drop-their-weapons, flight (replete with PTSD and anxiety attacks).

President Trump on Wednesday morning shared an image calling for his opponents to face trial for “treason,” with many of them behind bars.

The image, which the president retweeted from a pro-Trump Twitter account, depicts a host of figures Trump has criticized, including former President Obama, 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, special counsel Robert Mueller, former FBI Director James Comey and former President Bill Clinton.

“Now that Russia collusion is a proven lie, when do the trials for treason begin?” the caption on the photo reads.

For some Central American migrants in Tijuana, the American Dream is over before it even began.

Around 350 members of the first migrant caravan who recently reached the northern border city have decided to voluntarily return to their home countries – Honduras, in most cases – in the face of having to wait for months for the opportunity to file a request for asylum in the United States.

Some migrants who spoke to the newspaper Milenio claim they were misled about their chances of gaining entry to the U.S.

Now, which bunch of manipulative, starry-eyed, Progressive™ individuals would ever do such a cruel thing—to those who are completely unable to afford it—in the name of precisely which ideology, funded by exactly who?!?

I will say that it’s beyond hilarious to watch the Mexican government’s desperate efforts to moderate this situation—with the powder keg’s hissing fuse having bare inches left to it—now that Trump has ensured how the usual, highly profitable, torrent of illegal aliens has been immobilized at the gates of Mexico’s land-bridge to American capital.

South of the border, their masks finally are slipping as hypocritical Mexican officials make the identical same protestations about over-burdening, criminally inclined, “migrants” that patriotic Americans have been making for decades.

Argentinian government urges Buenos Aires residents to leave city for G20
    Read more
It is highly unlikely that such a prosecution could be successfully launched before the prince leaves Buenos Aires, but the move is an embarrassing development as world leaders gather for the two-day summit, which begins on Friday.

The advocacy group Human Rights Watch presented a writ earlier this week, arguing that Argentinian authorities should invoke universal jurisdiction laws to seek prosecution of the prince for mass civilian casualties caused by the Saudi-led coalition’s campaign in Yemen, and for the torture of Saudi citizens – including Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

On Wednesday a source said that the court had accepted the writ, and a prosecutor had asked a judge to determine if either Saudi Arabia or Yemen are investigating the prince for possible crimes against humanity. If no cases have been opened in either country, HRW argues that the principle of universal jurisdiction could apply.

  12. SHANGHAI (AP) — When Shan Junhua bought his white Tesla Model X, he knew it was a fast, beautiful car. What he didn’t know is that Tesla constantly sends information about the precise location of his car to the Chinese government.

Tesla is not alone. China has called upon all electric vehicle manufacturers in China to make the same kind of reports — potentially adding to the rich kit of surveillance tools available to the Chinese government as President Xi Jinping steps up the use of technology to track Chinese citizens.

“I didn’t know this,” said Shan. “Tesla could have it, but why do they transmit it to the government? Because this is about privacy.”

More than 200 manufacturers, including Tesla, Volkswagen, BMW, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Nissan, Mitsubishi and U.S.-listed electric vehicle start-up NIO, transmit position information and dozens of other data points to government-backed monitoring centers, The Associated Press has found. Generally, it happens without car owners’ knowledge.

The automakers say they are merely complying with local laws, which apply only to alternative energy vehicles. Chinese officials say the data is used for analytics to improve public safety, facilitate industrial development and infrastructure planning, and to prevent fraud in subsidy programs.

  13. London’s Refusal to Extradite Ex-Turkish Media Manager Unacceptable – Turkey (sputniknews, Nov 29, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201811291070246067-uk-turkey-extradition-manager/

“A London court’s refusal to extradite the former owner of the Turkish media holding Koza-Ipek, Akin Ipek, and two other Turkish citizens who are accused in their homeland of having ties with opposition Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, to Turkey is unacceptable, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy stated.

‘Yesterday (November 28th), our request for extradition of Hamdi Akin Ipek, Ali Celik, Talip Buyuk and Mustafa Yesil to Turkey, has been rejected by the judge at the hearing held by London Westminster Magistrate Court. The reasoning of the Court to deny our extradition request is entirely unsubstantiated… It was strongly emphasized to the British authorities that the decision of the Westminster court, which refused the extradition of the accused to our country, was unacceptable and deeply disappointing’, Aksoy said in a statement published on the Turkish ministry’s website.

The spokesman also noted that Turkey hoped these individuals would be returned to Turkey swiftly so that they could be brought to justice. All of them, according to the ministry, are members of the Gulen movement, which Ankara refers to as the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO) and blames for the 2016 coup attempt. These extradition efforts would continue, the spokesman stressed.

The court ruled that the individuals could not be extradited to Turkey because the investigations launched against them in the country were politically motivated. The Crown Prosecution Service, who represented the interests of the Turkish government in the process, may appeal this decision within 14 days…”

“n Iranian immigrant has been found guilty of strangling an elderly widow to avoid being thrown off the allotment he was introduced to by an anti-torture charity.

Rahim Mohammadi killed 80-year-old Lea Adri-Soejoko with a lawnmower cable and hid her body at Colindale allotments in north London in February last year.

The allotment secretary was found dead in a locked mower shed after her family raised concerns that she had failed to turn up at a meeting.

Kurdish Mohammadi, 42, from Hackney, north London, was found guilty of her murder on Thursday following a retrial at the Old Bailey.

Prosecutor John Price QC had told jurors the Iranian had a reputation for having a “volatile” temper, which he displayed by shouting at the jury as he was led to the cells.

Mohammadi had been involved with the allotment since 2008 through Freedom from Torture, an organisation helping torture victims suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

“British government statistics show that net arrivals from the European Union are at their lowest since 2014, but this has not stopped rising immigration from the rest of the world continuing to push the United Kingdom’s population upward.

An estimated 273,000 more people moved to the United Kingdom as long-term migrants — those intended to stay longer than a year — than emigrated in the year to June 2018, the latest batch of immigration figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) reveal.

Despite net EU arrivals — the difference between those arriving and leaving — falling to the lowest level since 2012, this group still yielded an overall positive figure in the ONS statistics, with approximately 74,000 more European Union citizens arriving than leaving during the period.

Far larger were arrivals from the rest of the world, which are at their highest level since 2014, with net addition of 248,000.

Overall, the net-positive levels of immigration, which despite coming below the recent 2016 peak, are still running at historically high levels. The ONS revealed that the foreign-born population of the United Kingdom now stands at 9.4 million and that arrivals from Romania in recent years have been one of the largest drivers of growth in that total.

In the context of the United Kingdom, 9.4 million people is near equivalent to one in seven of all people in the country being first-generation migrants and is similar to the combined populations of Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland…”

“Hungary’s government is using a mobile billboard to defend itself against criticism of Prime Minister Victor Orban’s anti-immigration policies.

Earlier this month Guy Verhofstadt, leader of the liberal ALDE faction of the European Parliament, used a billboard mounted on a truck in Brussels to depict Orban as someone seeking to destroy the European Union after taking substantial funds from the bloc.

The report by the U.N.’s internal watchdog says about $11 million alone is being spent on a recount of the South Sudanese who poured into Uganda, to weed out potentially hundreds of thousands of “ghost refugees.”

“Syria’s U.N. ambassador on Thursday urged Western powers to lift crippling economic sanctions against the war-torn country if they are serious about helping millions of Syrian refugees to return to their homeland.

Bashar Ja’afari spoke in the Kazakh capital of Astana where Russia, Turkey and Iran are holding talks with the Syrian government and the opposition. The mediators are speaking separately to the warring sides, which are not meeting face-to-face.

Nearly 6 million Syrians have fled the civil war, now in its eighth year, to neighboring countries and Europe. Syria and Russia, one of its main backers, insist that the refugees can safety return home now while many Syrians fear that they will face persecution.

Ja’afari said that lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria would be “the real test” for the West.

“If the west wants to really help us and the countries who are hosting refugees, they must start by lifting the economic sanctions,” he said. “So that these people who are abroad can return to their jobs, resume normal life and find work opportunity and are able to contribute to revitalizing the economy in Syria.”

“Pakistan’s recently elected prime minister says his government will introduce a new law that will reward whistleblowers who help authorities identify corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and private citizens who stash money in Pakistan and in foreign banks.

Imran Khan made his remarks Thursday as he completed his first 100 days in office after July’s parliamentary elections.

In his televised speech, Khan claimed that rich Pakistanis have kept $11 billion in banks in 26 foreign countries without declaring it to tax authorities and that he will try to get the money back to Pakistan.

Khan also said his government will do whatever is possible to provide citizens better health, education and housing.

Khan*s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, since coming into power in August, has arrested several politicians, businessmen and officials on corruption charges.”

The cost to the federal government of processing asylum seekers entering Canada illegally from the United States is on pace to reach nearly $400-million next year, according to a new analysis from Parliamentary Budget Officer Yves Giroux.

In a report released Thursday, the PBO said the average cost for each migrant who entered Canada illegally is $14,321 for the entire claim process. That figure is predicted to rise to $16,666 in the fiscal year that begins April 1, 2019.

The PBO’s report focuses on the increased federal spending on public service staff and the cost of providing medical and legal benefits to asylum seekers. For instance, the Interim Federal Health Program provides health insurance for refugee claimants that are in the claims process.

Migrant organizer tells reporter which country is backing Central American caravans
    By J.E. Dyer November 29, 2018

When word first reached Americans of the migrant “caravans” setting out from Central America, the president of Honduras told Vice President Mike Pence that key organizational support for the caravans was coming from leftist groups in Honduras, and that the caravans were being financed by Venezuela.

.@costareports asks @VP Mike Pence about @realDonaldTrump’s claim that unknown Middle Easterners had infiltrated the migrant caravan heading to the U.S. border. “It’s inconceivable that there are not people of Middle Eastern descent,” Pence said.

    8:42 AM – Oct 23,

At the time, in late October, I discussed the likelihood that the actual money was coming from outside Venezuela and being funneled through the Maduro regime there. In particular – besides activist backing such as that of George Soros – foreign sponsors of a migrant surge in the Americas might include Russia and Iran.
I stressed then, and continue to stress, that an outside power would be taking advantage of a set of conditions that power could not singlehandedly cause. Local motivations must be there. But such conditions are there to be exploited.

The model of mass migration on foot has now been established in the Eastern hemisphere, between the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. It has been on people’s TV screens and social-media feeds for half a decade, and doesn’t have to be explained or advertised to them. There are certainly people in Central America who could spontaneously think it was a good idea over here, without being baited into it by agents of Russia or Iran.

Any such sponsored surges would target the United States, and more generally, the stability of the entire hemisphere. Russia and Iran are both highly motivated to promote deterioration of America’s strategic stability.

    • This one is going to take some time and I may want to return and make more comments as I think about what it says.

According to what she is saying (and in interview by a Mexican Journalists) there is some evidence that Russia is behind at least part of the funding and organization of the Caravan.

If true ( have a little evidence and a lot of suspicion) this is a cheap way for Russia (Putin), China (Xi) and Iran to mess with the US. they can cause trouble at out Southern Border and hide most of their tracks. Given what the man interviewed (and others) said they seem to be counting on the idea that they can get enough people (20,000 has been mentioned but not in this article) to be able to overwhelm the Border Patrol and any troops that are backing them up. They are positive that we will not use lethal force to stop the invasion.

Yes using lethal force would be bad optics for the US but so would letting the US border be breached. As has been said there are thousands of the invaders now but if they succeed it will be many millions of invaders pushing over the border.

It looks like the far left has succeed in dramatically changing the US, if we use lethal forcethings are going to get very nasty inside the US with the left using terror attacks to make the US ungovernable and disrupt the 2020 election.

If we don’t use lethal force at the border we will have millions of invaders many of which have the goal of destroying the US. Which will cause massive violence and make the US ungovernable as well as disrupt the 2020 election. In this scenario the far left will be using terror attacks to support the invaders.

Back during the Obama years one vet told me that the US was going to be invaded and that the military was going to be limited in what it could do, that it would be up to the vets and other armed citizens to stop and reverse the invasion.

    • However, the exceptional size and organization of what we’re seeing in the fall of 2018 are beyond any group effort ever mounted before. State sponsorship would help explain how an enterprise of such scope is being brought off. It is merely prudent to keep an eye out for the possibility that the effort has such backing. In fact, it would be imprudent – indeed, quite stupid – to insist that there can’t possibly be any state sponsorship behind the caravans.

It would so characteristic of Soros for him to eschew being sole financier of this little pissing contest. That distinct possibility—and his well-established behavioral traits—easily point towards supplementary capital input.

  27. Every irregular border crosser who came to Canada over the last year cost the federal government on average $14,321.

That cost includes the entire process of handling their asylum claim through federal agencies and is expected to increase to an average cost of $15,483 this year and to $16,666 in 2019-2020.

READ MORE: More irregular border-crossers have arrived so far this year than by this time last year

Those numbers come from a new report by the parliamentary budget officer released on Thursday which looked at the full costs of irregular migration across Canada’s southern border.

According to the report, that means the total cost of dealing with the cohort of migrants who arrived in the 2017-2018 fiscal year will be about $340 million over the total time it takes to complete their claims, whether that be two years or five, for example.

  28. Russian clinic in row over female genital cutting (BBC, Nov 29, 2018)
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46384023

“A Moscow private clinic that carries out female genital cutting is under fire after a news website alleged it had advertised the procedure for girls.

Best Klinik denied the Meduza report, saying its service was “for medical reasons” and only for adult women.

Critics on Russian social media argued the clinic should not offer the procedure at all.

Female genital mutilation (FGM) is legal in Russia but is widely seen as a human rights violation.

The Meduza report triggered heated debate on Russian social media. FGM is a crime in the UK and the UN says it violates human rights.

FGM – defined as partial or total removal of the external female genitalia for non-medical reasons – can cause severe bleeding and other serious complications, the UN’s World Health Organization (WHO) says. FGM has no health benefits, the WHO adds.

In its statement, Best Klinik insisted it was providing a “clitoridectomy” service only for women aged 18 or older “in response to requests from patients who have a corresponding referral from a doctor”.

The procedures are done at a clinic near Baumanskaya metro, in northern Moscow. Best Klinik also has two other clinics in the Russian capital.

Clitoridectomy – sometimes called “female circumcision” – can be carried out for medical reasons, but such cases are rare.

    Caucasus girls ‘at risk’
A Russian human rights group, Stichting Justice Initiative (SRJI), documented cases of FGM involving girls in Russia’s Dagestan region, in the North Caucasus, in 2016.

The region’s Muslim leader, mufti Ismail Berdiyev, said FGM was practised in some Dagestani villages and that it was necessary to curb women’s sexuality.

SRJI says human rights lawyers now plan to ask the Russian Prosecutor General’s office to investigate Best Klinik.

On Facebook a leading Russian women’s rights activist, Alyona Popova, also urged the authorities to investigate the clinic’s activities.

A popular sex education blogger, @Tasumori, tweeted that “female circumcision is not equivalent to male circumcision”.

“It is equal to castration. The removal of a sex organ. Doesn’t sound so mild now, does it?” she wrote.

Best Klinik has not yet responded to a BBC request for clarification about its “clitoridectomy service”.

SRJI’s 2016 report on Dagestan prompted a Russian MP, Maria Maksakova-Igenbergs, to introduce a bill that would criminalise FGM.

But the bill did not become law, so FGM – which can be fatal – is not yet a crime in Russia.

The WHO says FGM is most common in western, eastern and north-eastern regions of Africa, in parts of the Middle East and Asia, and among migrants from those areas.

It says more than 200 million girls and women alive today have suffered FGM, in 30 countries.”

The EU has now increased the pressure by resorting to blackmail: Brussels is making its recognition of Switzerland’s SIX Swiss Exchange, the fourth-largest stock market in Europe, contingent on Swiss acceptance of the framework agreement.

The measure was opposed by a coalition of Swiss business groups, which convincingly argued that it was a question of economics and access to international markets for the export-dependent country. “Ultimately, it is about maintaining prosperity in Switzerland and keeping the companies and jobs here,” said Monika Rühl, director of the business group Economiesuisse.

“The SVP rejects a one-sided submission to EU institutions, aimed at establishing an institutional connection of Switzerland to the EU apparatus, with a dynamic EU legal takeover and, ultimately, the subordination of Switzerland to the EU Court of Justice. A dynamic adoption of EU law would be another massive erosion of our direct democracy.” — Swiss People’s Party.

  30. Federal Judge Pushes Public Utility To Explain Possible Role In California Wildfires

A federal judge responsible for supervising the power utility some believe played a part in starting California’s recent wildfires is now demanding the company come clean about the fires.

Clinton-appointed Judge William Alsup has given Pacific Gas & Electric until Dec. 31 to answer several questions about the company’s supposed role in the fires, which charred parts of California and lead to dozens of deaths. PG&E was convicted in 2017 in the fatal explosion of a gas pipeline in San Bruno.

The company is expected to answer questions related to “any wildfire started by reckless operation or maintenance of PG&E power lines” as well as “any inaccurate, slow, or failed reporting of information about any wildfire by PG&E,” according to Alsup’s brief.

“An accurate and complete statement of the role, if any, of PG&E in causing and reporting the recent Camp Fire in Butte County and all other wildfires in California since the judgment” he demanded in the brief.

  31. Democrats Stand With Foreign Rioters
They challenge the use of teargas by border patrol agents under attack.
    November 29, 2018
    Michael Cutler

The news footage of the thousands of members of the “migrant” caravan showed young men throwing rocks at U.S. Border Patrol agents and attempting to charge the U.S./Mexican border. The Border Patrol agents were clearly under attack and had only two courses of action to take. The beleaguered agents could step aside or even retreat and permit their positions to be overrun by hundreds or even thousands of illegal aliens among whom are likely criminals, gang members and even those affiliated with terrorism, who would then disperse into the United States where the abject lack of resources would enable them to meld into communities across the country, particularly those jurisdictions that have been proclaimed “Sanctuary Cities.” Alternatively, they could stand their ground and defend the border to prevent the illegal and un-inspected entry of these invaders. In order to protect themselves, however, these agents would need to deploy either lethal or less-than-lethal force.

We all know that the Border Patrol opted to deploy teargas, a less-than-lethal force, that succeeded in repelling the attempted breach of our border, although it was reported that approximately 50 aliens did manage to enter the United States, but were quickly apprehended and taken into custody by the Border Patrol.

It would certainly appear that the agents demonstrated discipline, restraint and professionalism in managing to bring a very dangerous situation under control without the loss of life. Incredibly, rather than commending these valiant federal agents, Democrats and members of the mainstream media have attacked the agents. They complained that these “asylum seeking migrants” should have been quickly processed and permitted to enter the United States. They complained bitterly that the use of teargas was wrong and had the potential to injure women and children who were in the front of the surging mob.

  32. Where Can Asia Bibi Go?
Only two places left where she might be safe.
    November 29, 2018
    Hugh Fitzgerald

Asia Bibi, the Pakistani Christian woman who spent eight years on death row in a Pakistani jail, having been convicted of “blasphemy” on the testimony of Muslims, has at last been freed by a decision of the Pakistani Supreme Court. But her latest ordeal has only just begun, for she cannot possibly live safely in Pakistan, where massive crowds have been calling for her to be executed and where, during this past year, two high officials of the government who had criticized her prosecution were, as a consequence, murdered by Muslim fanatics.

The United Kingdom has refused to offer Bibi asylum, prompted by fears of violence by Muslims. The UK high commissioner in Islamabad is reported to have warned he could not protect his staff if asylum were granted by the UK. This led the Foreign Office, in turn, to ask the Home Office not to grant Asia Bibi’s request. And there was another fear as well. That was the concern that if Bibi were granted asylum by Her Majesty’s Government, Muslims could well riot in the U.K. itself.

In a demonstration of widespread pusillanimity, no country has yet stepped forward to offer this woman asylum.

So where can Asia Bibi go? There are two places where she just might be safe.

  33. Saudi Arabia pledges $50 million to UN’s “Palestinian” “refugee” agency cut off by Trump

This shows yet again that Saudi Arabia is no true friend or ally of the United States. It is wise not to break the alliance now, given Iran’s aspirations in the region and worldwide, but it should not be regarded with naivete. The History of Jihad From Muhammad to ISIS details how Saudi Arabia came to be in the context of an Islamic reformation which bodes no good for the non-Muslim West.

At the same time, if anyone is going to fund this sinister jihad-enabling agency, it shouldn’t be non-Muslim states, so in that sense, this is a positive development.

For the truth about the deep dishonesty of the UNRWA, see the new website UNRWA Dynasty, a project of the former Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Ron Prosor. A new poll by El Universal, a Mexican newspaper, found that a majority of Mexicans have a negative view of the migrant caravan marching through their country.

Thousands of members of the caravan are currently camping out in Tijuana, Mexico as they attempt to cross the southern U.S. border or claim asylum. Mexicans have expressed displeasure that the migrants are settling in their home cities and towns.

The El Universal poll, as reported by NBC News, found that seven in 10 Mexicans have a negative view of the arrival of migrant families. Further, 52 percent support blocking migrants from entering the country without documentation and 55 percent think President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador should be tougher on future caravans.

In October, just six in 10 Mexicans had a negative view of the migrants.

    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/us-yemen-diplomat-accuses-iran-stoking-regional-conflicts-59500658

“The U.S. ambassador to Yemen on Thursday accused Iran of “throwing gasoline on the fire” of conflicts across the Middle East, vowing that America will defend its regional interests and not “shy away when the problems get difficult.”

Ambassador Matthew Tueller’s comments during an interview with The Associated Press signal that America’s hard-line approach to Tehran in the wake of withdrawing from the nuclear deal will continue.

His remarks also take on even more importance as Tueller is now President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the next ambassador in Iraq, a country where Iranian-led militias just beat back the Islamic State group and Tehran holds political sway.

“Wherever we see instability here in the region — and I’m not saying that Iran is the source of all of the instability — but we see that opportunistically, they’re going in,” Tueller told the AP at a military ceremony in eastern Yemen. “They’re throwing gasoline on the fire in an area of the world that’s so important to all of us.”…”
