Just some of the many Yellow Jacket protest videos in the Reader’s Links today

This Paris demonstration video is quite interesting. The protestors appear to be disabling some kind of contraption.

Hazarding a guess, it may be some camera rig the government has which records licence plates etc. A free nation shouldn’t have these anyway. So its interesting to see the French protestors disabling it, if that is what it is.

Hopefully those more knowledgable about France can explain what is taking place in that scene, and others in this video.

  1. I’m a frenchman living close to Paris, and I want to THANK YOU for showing realities !!!

Not all yellow jackets had still realize the relation between Europe ( and France first) INVASION by muzslimes, they (the yellow jackets) don’t know about the future PACT to be signed by the asshole micron on december the 10th 2018 in marocco, making invasion a human right !!!

Not necessary to explain why a PACT and why in a muzshit country …

  2. Rita your hopes may be coming true, one man said this would turn into a civil and that the people are ready for one. We will have to wait and see if he is right.

      • Not that I saw the previews and decided to skip that one.

I based my reply to Rita on other nations that have fallen into civil war/revolutions that started like this. However if you are talking about the French getting fed up with the taxes and loss of freedom I have read many incidents in history about what happens when enough people are fed up with government corruption and betrayal of the people.

    • Rather like the first year of the American Revolution, the people revolted and the Founding Fathers had to work real hard to take command and guide the revolt to freedom. The trick is for the rebels to find the right leaders who want to restore rights instead of finding new rights.

Then you’re going to yust lürve my next little tale. The large city I live in deployed ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) several years ago. Resulting data was farmed at an out-of-state location. This is where my disgruntlement begins.

    • ALPR gathers data about innocent people and their legal activities

    • This data is sent from the monitoring device (patrol car or standard) to hard storage

    • Such records are, essentially, permanent (if so desired)

With those basics under our belt, the only acceptable form that ALPR can take is where all data gathered is combed through at the point of collection and only “valid hits” are transmitted back to base. The respective observation points could request file sections for comparison purposes without ever sending back a shred of information about law-abiding citizens.

Clearly, this is exactly the opposite of what is happening and, quite possibly, more in tune with the desires of metropolitan law enforcement or its political counterpart.

As an example of a dubious application of ALPR, there are tow truck (wrecker) operators who troll the parking lots of large malls and big box stores using ALPR to look for repos and other ready prey.

To finish the story, this out-of-state server farm—the one all that ALPR data was sent to—went out-of-business. As part of the bankruptcy proceedings, that firm’s capital equipment was auctioned off in order to satisfy investors.

The servers were put up for bid with all of the data still on them. This sort of gross violation of public privacy ought to be actionable and is just one of several reasons (see above) why I vehemently oppose ALPR.

    • Could be Cloud storage these days.
I hate Clouds. The Revolution will have to seed them, break them up to foil the Enemy.

      • Cloud storage was developed by people who want access to everyones data and want it yesterday. Given a chance the Social media giants will create a system that will make China’s look like freedom.

  4. I watched a couple hours of rioting in Paris, noticed that the police were relying heavily on tear gas, never seen so much tear gas deployed before (must of stunk out large parts of the city) .
They used the water cannon to break through more resistant element of the crowd.
Also noticed the un-uniformed police with red arm bands roughing people up on the fringes, they seem to be well armed and not follow any conventional rules for engagement (stasi like?).
(saw red arm banded men with machine guns at one point).
Most protesters looked French to me. Hard to tell a lot of the time because it was a fast moving liquid situation..
