  1. London Bloodbath – Women attacked with machete in Charlton HORROR attack (express, Nov 17, 2018)

“A WOMAN in Charlton has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being attacked from behind by a man armed with a machete, the Met Police have confirmed.

Police were called to the attack, which took place on Rathmore Road, shortly after 7pm last night. Officers attended along with London Ambulance personal. The victim, aged in her 50s, is not reported to be in a life-threatening condition.

She is being treated at a south London hospital for cuts to the head.

The suspect approached the victim from behind before carrying out the attack, then headed towards Woolwich Road.

He was not known to his victim.

According to a police statement he has been described as: “An Asian man, aged in his 30s, of heavy build.”…”

    • They won’t get this done, the members of the House may be (probably are) stupid enough to pass a bill like that but it won’t get through the Senate and Trump won’t sign it into law if it reaches him. In a lot of ways I like the idea of them trying this, it will energize the gun owners and help ensure that the Dems lose big timein 2020.

  2. Parisian Man Carrying Christmas Presents Beaten, Called ‘Unbeliever’ (breitbart, Nov 17, 2018)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2018/11/17/parisian-man-assaulted-unbeliever-street-christmas-presents/

“A Parisian man in his 60s was assaulted on the streets of the French capital and labelled an “unbeliever” for carrying gifts wrapped up in Christmas wrapping paper.

The assault occurred in the 14th arrondissement of Paris on Wednesday at around 6:20 pm after the unidentified man in his 60s had been out shopping for presents, Le Parisien reports.

According to the victim, he had just left the Alesia metro station and was carrying the gifts, which were wrapped in traditional Christmas wrapping paper, when a man approached him, grabbed him, and then slapped him across the face, forcing his glasses to the floor.

Immediately after the assault, the victim claimed the attacker told him, “This is what we do to the unbelievers,” and left. The elderly man then went to a nearby police station and police say they are now investigating the incident as a religious hate crime.

While Islam counts Jesus as a prophet, the Christmas holiday has been a source of consternation for some Muslims in Europe such as a Muslim pupil at the Johanneum Gymnasium in the German city of Lüneburg who demanded the school stop singing Christmas carols that were not compatible with Islam.

The school decided to cancel the singing of Christmas carols with the headmaster arguing that teachers needed to take a sensitive approach to students of minority faiths.

In some cases, Muslims have reacted with vitriol towards fellow Muslims who have celebrated the holiday like British boxer Amir Khan who received death threats for posting pictures of a Christmas tree he had put up in his home last year.

Christmas markets in Germany have also been the target of radical Islamic terrorists, including the 2016 Berlin Christmas market terror attack which saw a dozen people killed by Tunisian failed asylum seeker Anis Amri.

Last year, Austrian authorities foiled another attack targetting a Christmas market in Graz. The suspect, a 25-year-old Bosnian man, was allegedly plotting to drive a vehicle through the packed market in the same style as Amri had the year before.”

French drivers seething over high fuel prices brought traffic across the country to a standstill on Saturday.
The “yellow vests” movement, named for the high-visibility jackets worn by supporters, erupted on social media last month with calls for mass blockades of roads and highways.

Anger over fuel costs, blamed on taxes imposed by President Emmanuel Macron to fight pollution, has been simmering for months, particularly in smaller towns and rural areas where public transport is patchy.

  6. Saudi crown prince ordered Khashoggi’s assassination: CIA

Washington: The CIA has concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last month, contradicting the Saudi government’s claims that he was not involved.

The CIA’s assessment, in which officials have said they have high confidence, is the most definitive to date linking Mohammed to the operation and complicates the Trump administration’s efforts to preserve its relationship with a close ally.

  7. CIA concludes Saudi Crown Prince behind Khashoggi murder: reports

Washington (AFP) – The US Central Intelligence Agency has concluded Saudi Arabia’s powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was behind the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, US media reported Friday, citing people close to the matter.

The US assessment directly contradicts the conclusions of a Saudi prosecutor one day prior, which exonerated the prince of involvement in the brutal murder.

But The Washington Post, which broke the story, said the CIA found that 15 Saudi agents flew on government aircraft to Istanbul and assassinated Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate.

Queried by AFP, the CIA declined to comment.

Khashoggi, a Post columnist, had gone to the consulate to obtain documents necessary to marry his Turkish fiancee.

Saudi Arabia — which quickly dismissed the reported CIA findings — has repeatedly changed its official narrative of the October 2 murder, first denying any knowledge of Khashoggi’s whereabouts and later saying he was killed when

  8. Saudi women mount ‘inside-out’ abaya protest

Riyadh (AFP) – Saudi women have mounted a rare protest against the abaya, posting pictures on social media wearing the obligatory body-shrouding robe inside out.

The conservative petro-state has some of the world’s toughest restrictions on women, who are required to wear the typically all-black garment in public.

Powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in March said wearing the robe was not mandatory in Islam, but in practice nothing changed and no formal edict to that effect was issued.

Using the hashtag “inside-out abaya”, dozens of women have posted pictures of flipped robes in a rare protest against the strict dress code.

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence traded sharp barbs with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in back-to-back speeches at a regional summit, showing that neither country appears to be giving ground in an escalating trade war.

Xi received applause Saturday when he told the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Papua New Guinea that implementing tariffs and breaking up supply chains was “short-sighted” and “doomed to failure.” He called for a stronger World Trade Organization and defended his signature Belt-and-Road Initiative, saying it’s “not a trap as some people have labeled it.”

When the Central American caravan finally crosses onto U.S. soil — past the fresh coils of barbed wire, through the chain-link door — its people will begin a closely monitored existence in U.S. custody, with showers every two days and guard checks every 15 minutes.

They will live at the San Ysidro port of entry in one of 31 holding rooms with painted cinder-block walls, the largest of which holds space for 25 people, sleeping under Mylar blankets on rubber mats, watched by video surveillance. They will have two hot meals a day, a cold lunch and possibly cereal before bed.

What the experience won’t be, for the several thousand migrants who are now pooling up in Tijuana, is fast.

  12. NYPD ousts sex crimes chief who led Weinstein investigation

NEW YORK (AP) — The police commander who led the effort to arrest Harvey Weinstein has been removed as the chief of New York City’s special victims division, part of a shake-up that was months in the making after a city watchdog found the unit was stretched too thin to properly investigate sexual assault cases.

Deputy Chief Michael Osgood, whose final weeks were marred by allegations that a top detective had compromised the Weinstein case, will take on a leadership role in Staten Island. Deputy Chief Judith Harrison takes over the special victims division, the police department announced Friday.

“If we can get better, we will get better,” Harrison said.

Police Commissioner James O’Neill signaled changes were coming back in April when he pledged a “top-to-bottom scrub” of the unit after a report by the city’s Department of Investigation showed that the sex crimes caseload had ballooned by 65 percent since 2009, but staffing levels were nearly unchanged.

Department memos included in the report showed that Osgood had been asking for more staff for at least four years. He had also requested additional training for detectives and recommended starting a cold case squad.

  14. Argentine Navy submarine found a year after disappearing with 44 aboard

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) – The Argentine Navy submarine that went missing a year ago off the country’s Atlantic Coast was found by a private company involved in what had been a massive search for the vessel and its 44-member crew, the Navy announced by tweet on Saturday.

The submarine ARA San Juan had a seven-day supply of air when it last reported its position on Nov. 15, 2017. It was found some 800 meters (2,625 feet) below the ocean’s surface by a marine tracking contractor Ocean Infinity.

The disappearance gripped the nation’s attention as the government struggled to provide information about the tragedy. Relatives of the crew still have questions.

“We have found them,” Jorge Villarreal, father of one crew member told local radio. “Now we are going to search for the truth. For us this is the start of a new chapter.”

At the time of the disappearance, the Navy said water that had entered the submarine’s snorkel caused its battery to short-circuit. Naval officials said international organizations helping to search for the missing vessel a year ago detected a noise that could have been the submarine imploding.

  15. Shocked liberals finally realizing Women’s March functions as a hate group
By Jeff Dunetz November 17, 2018

Hey, Whaddayaknow! Slowly but surely, liberals are beginning to figure out that the Women’s March is actually run by notorious Jew-haters.

The latest to turn against the Women’s March is the liberal German think tank FES (the Friedrich Ebert Foundation), which canceled an award it was going to give to the Women’s March.

The FES, a think tank for Germany’s Social Democratic party, was set to award the Women’s March its Human Rights Award. But not anymore.

Merkel urged Romanian president to not move embassy to Jerusalem

In an effort to stop Romania’s government from relocating its embassy to Jerusalem, German chancellor Angela Merkel called Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis in April, urging him to stop Bucharest’s declared announcement to move its diplomatic building to Israel’s capital.

A Western source told The Jerusalem Post that Merkel lobbied the Romanian president to put a halt on the relocation of its embassy to Jerusalem. It is believed that Merkel called other European politicians as part of a campaign to block the relocation of European embassies to Jerusalem.

The president of Romania’s Chamber of Deputies and a member of Romania’s governing party, the social democratic politician Liviu Dragnea, told the television station Antena 3 in April that the “government adopted a memorandum deciding to start the procedure to effectively move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”

The dramatic and apparent anti-Israel intervention by Merkel, who proclaimed in a Knesset speech in 2008 that Israel’s security interests are “non-negotiable” and part of Germany’s raison d’être, was not denied by the governments of Romania and the Federal Republic.

A spokesperson for the Romanian ministry of foreign affairs wrote the Post on Friday by email that “Regarding your question, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cannot comment on alleged discussions between Angela Merkel and the Romanian President. We would advise you to contact the Presidential Administration should you need to have further information.” Iohannis’s office did not immediately respond to a Post query.

  16. Tijuana mayor says migrant ‘horde’ not welcome; calls for swift deportation
By Daily Caller News Foundation November 17, 2018

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum said Thursday that caravan migrants arriving by the hundreds are no longer welcome, an increasingly common sentiment among residents of the Mexican border city.

Gastelum described the caravan of Central American migrants as a “horde” that has been infiltrated by criminals who now threaten the community, in an interview with Milenio Television.

“Tijuana is a city of immigrants, but we don’t want them in this way,” the mayor, a member of the conservative National Action Party, said. “It was different with the Haitians, they carried papers, they were in order. It wasn’t a horde, pardon the expression.”

    • She is right, while it is possible for a skilled group of pros to fight an asymmetric civil war and win (especially if a large portion of the national military supports the rebels (In the current situation that would mean supporting the conservatives)) the purpose of the Second Amendment is to make the oppression of the people through military force too costly in both human lives and in money.

The description of the political climate at the start of the Civil War very closely resembles the current political climate including the fact that the political shifts in the nation are going against the Democrats.

Somewhat OT, Trump has said that if Pelosi doesn’t have enough votes to become Speak of the House he will give her all the votes she needs. This is a brilliant move on his part. She now has to decide if she wants to run for Speaker, if she runs and he has Republicans vote for her she is damaged with the Dems and will have to turn even more radical to try and prove she hasn’t sold out to Trump, this will damage the Dems in 2020. If she doesn’t run it is highly likely that someone even more radical then her will be chosen which will damage the Dems in 2020. And if she runs but doesn;t need any Republican votes she is still under suspicion and will have to do things that damage the Dems. PT may not be a politician but he is a fighter and knows how to damage his enemies.

  18. Judge: CNN’s Acosta gets press pass back; underlying 1st Amendment issue not ruled on
    By J.E. Dyer November 16, 2018

A federal judge ruled on Friday that the White House must reinstate Jim Acosta’s “hard pass” for press access to events at the White House. The hard pass, which allows routine access (rather than requiring event-by-event approval), was revoked last week after Acosta monopolized a microphone, physically deflected an intern’s attempt to retrieve it from him, persistently interrupted the president, and wouldn’t allow an orderly transition to questions by other reporters.

CNN then sued the White House in federal court to get the press pass for Acosta back. The judge, Timothy Kelly, was appointed by Trump. He ordered the pass temporarily reinstated while the suit goes forward, emphasizing that his order does not imply a ruling on the case or on any reference to First Amendment rights.

CNN also made a Fifth Amendment claim that Acosta had been improperly detained by the Secret Service without due process notice of the basis for or purpose of the action. That appears to be the foundation for Judge Kelly’s reinstatement of the hard pass:

    https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/11/16/judge-cnns-acosta-gets-press-pass-back-underlying-1st-amendment-issue-not-ruled-on/

Richard: I haven’t heard on any other source that this is a temporary reinstatement of the Press Pass, or that the final decision hasn’t been made. Once again the Propaganda Press and the anti Trumpers are lying by omission.

    • Be sure and read the entire article, she makes some very valid points including the fact that the White House being forced to right rules of decorum for the Press means that things are going to get worse, much worse. She also makes the point that Congress can pass bills and the President can sign them into law limiting what the Judges can rule on. It would be good if Congress would pass a couple of bills saying that the Courts can’t rule on Foreign Policy matters and that they are not allowed to rule on social issues, only criminal issues and civil liabilities as long as they don’t include civil damages in a case centered around a culture war issue.

The fact that we are even having to discuss these matters is another data point on the collapse of civilization.

      • Lots of time in posturing in front of cameras, but I bet the House won’t write much legislation this term. Didn’t accomplish much last term.

For nearly 200 years, headgear has been prohibited within the House chamber of the U.S. Capitol. The Democrats — who will be in the majority in January — have proposed to allow religious headwear — hijab. The change was presented by Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who is the likely Speaker of the House of the incoming Congress, Incoming Rules Chairman Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), and Rep.-elect Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). Born in Somalia, Omar is one of two Muslim female Democrats who were elected last week.

A progressive who has been critical of President Donald Trump’s policies regarding Muslim immigration and the Middle East, Omar regularly wears a headscarf that covers her hair, as is customary among some Muslim women. She is also the first black woman to represent Minnesota. Omar is taking the seat previously occupied by Rep. Keith Ellison (R-Minn.), who in turn was the first Muslim elected to Congress. He is now Minnesota’s state attorney general. Omar will be joined by Michigan’s Rashida Tlaib, a Muslim and progressive Democrat who is the first Muslim to represent the Mitten State.

Since 1837, no hats have been permitted on the House floor. Currently, House rules contain a section on comportment in the chamber: “During the session of the House, a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner may not wear a hat or remain by the Clerk’s desk during the call of the roll or the counting of ballots.” The section reads, “A person on the floor of the House may not smoke or use a mobile electronic device that impairs decorum. The Sergeant-at-Arms is charged with the strict enforcement of this clause.”

A previous attempt to alter the time-honored rules was spurned. In 2010, Florida Democrat Frederica Wilson, who frequently wears hats from her collection of colorful western hats, told the Miami Herald “Hats are what I wear. People get excited when they see the hats. Once you get accustomed to it, it’s just me. Some people wear wigs, or high heel shoes or big earrings or pins. This is just me.”

While there have long been Jews serving in the House and Senate, there have been no petitions from that quarter to allow members to wear Jewish religious headwear, such as kippah (yarmulke) skullcaps, in the House chamber. In other areas of government, standards for ethnic and religious headwear have been relaxed. For example, in early 2017, a U.S. soldier of the Sikh faith was allowed to wear a turban — which is required for male adherents of the religion that was founded in India. Since 2014, Jews were allowed to wear kippah yarmulke. Since then, the adherents of various faiths have been allowed to petition to wear beards. And, Muslim women in the Army are allowed to wear hijab.

As he departs Washington to visit fire-ravaged parts of California, President Trump speaks to reporters about a number of topics including forest management, Vice President Mike Pence, and Nancy Pelosi.

    • As I said above this is a brilliant move that will damage Pelosi and cause internal strife in the Dems.

  29. ‘Black Pete’ character sparks clashes in the Netherlands

Eggs are thrown and scuffles break out as pro and anti-Black Pete protesters face off at annual Dutch parades.

Rival protesters have clashed in the Netherlands over traditional pre-Christmas celebrations that involve a character in “blackface” make-up.

Unrest occurred in several towns where annual festivals have been taking place to welcome the arrival of Sinterklaas, a Dutch figure said to be the origin of Santa Claus.

A row has been ongoing in the country over the last couple of years over the use of performers in the celebrations who blacken their faces to play Sinterklaas’s assistant called Zwarte Piet, or Black Pete.

Police in Rotterdam tweeted to say they had arrested three people, as those calling for Black Pete to be abolished clashed with traditionalists.

In the northern city of Leeuwarden, officers said they stopped “two groups getting into a fight”.

Police also separated groups to prevent a confrontation in nearby Groningen, and De Telegraaf newspaper reported on confrontations in several other towns.

Witnesses described “fighting”, “chaos”, “abuse” and eggs being thrown

Football supporters of some of the Netherlands’ biggest clubs were among those involved, the paper said, along with the anti-Islam group Pegida.

In other locations, police and marshals were used to keep the anti-Pete protesters away from the parades.

Prime minister Mark Rutte had appealed for calm on Friday, saying: “I think society agrees on one thing: we grant children the magic of the Sinterklaas party.”

In Zaandijk, north of Amsterdam, where the parade was televised, a boat carrying Sinterklaas sailed into the harbour accompanied by dozens of Black Petes, their faces painted in varying shades.

Thousands of youngsters, many wearing traditional costumes, lined the streets with their parents and grabbed sweets being handed out.

Every November, Dutch towns hold the popular parades, symbolising the arrival of Sinterklaas by boat, at which Zwarte Piets throw gingerbread to the crowd.

Sinterklaas is based on the 4th century religious figure St Nicholas, who Dutch legend says passed through Netherlands on his way to Spain, from where he returns annually.

The origins of the Zwarte Piet character are disputed, but theories claim they may relate to medieval depictions of St Nicholas being helped by the devil, the saint having an assistant who would take bad children back to Spain, and that assistant being a Moor.

A Twitter account of one of the groups involved, Stop Blackface, said they had received widespread support.

The group tweeted in Dutch: “Large groups throughout the country who are fighting for a party for all kids. We get reports of abuse, physical violence but also a lot of ?.”

  30. Police Chief Loren Culp of Republic, Washington, says the gun controls in the newly passed Initiative 1639 will not be enforced in his county.
On September 25, 2018, Breitbart News reported that I-1639 would put in place enhanced background checks for the purchase of semiautomatic rifles, would place a ten-day wait on completion of a semiautomatic rifle sale, and would require purchasers to pass a gun safety course. The initiative also contained new gun storage laws for every type of firearm, including penalties for gun owners whose guns were stolen and used in crimes, among other things.

Chief Culp reacted to the passage of I-1639 by reminding Republic residents that the Second Amendment will reign supreme under his leadership:

In an interview with KXLY, Culp added, “We took an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States and the constitution of the State of Washington, and [I-1639] completely flies in the face of both the U.S. and state constitution.”

  31. High school can be tough for anyone, and students from poor backgrounds have the added anxiety of struggling to keep up with their wealthier peers when it comes to clothes and accessories.

A high school in northwestern England is attempting to level the playing field for disadvantaged students by banning expensive Canada Goose and Moncler coats.

In a letter to parents at the beginning of November, the headteacher of Woodchurch High School in Birkenhead explained that the ban was coming in after Christmas as the school was “mindful that some young people put pressure on their parents to purchase expensive items of clothing.”

“These coats cause a lot of inequality between our pupils,” headteacher Rebekah Phillips told CNN. “They stigmatize students and parents who are less well off and struggle financially.”

  32. Vote Against ‘Useless’ Annual UN Resolution on Golan Heights

(Update: Friday’s vote on the Golan Heights measure passed by 151 votes to two — Israel and the United States — and with 14 abstentions. The other eight resolutions critical of Israel all passed by large margins, with the U.S. opposing all eight.)

(CNSNews.com) – A U.N. General Assembly committee will on Friday endorse nine resolutions critical of Israel, but – for the first time in more than two decades – the United States will change its position from “abstain” to “no” when a resolution on the Golan Heights is put to the vote.

Signaling that decision, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley in a statement Thursday described the annual resolution as “useless.”

  33. UN Furious That President Trump Protects the American Taxpayer from Communist Thieves

Don’t get me wrong, amigos. The Fake News Media does not term the recent UN vote in the same manner as does this column. Instead they reported (gloated) that: “UN voted overwhelmingly to condemn US embargo of Cuba….In a slap to the United States, the U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly approved a resolution Thursday condemning the American economic embargo of Cuba and rejected proposed U.S. amendments strongly criticizing the lack of human rights in the island country.”

The occasion was the annual and ritual UN vote against the U.S. “embargo” of mass-murdering, mass-torturing, terror-sponsoring and kleptocratic Cuba, which sits prominently on the UN Human Rights Council! (For genuinely judicious people, this should reveal all they need to know about the UN.)

  35. SALEM, Ore. (AP) — The young man traversed Andean mountains, plains and cities in buses, took a harrowing boat ride in which five fellow migrants drowned, walked through thick jungle for days, and finally reached the U.S.-Mexico border.

Then Abdoulaye Camara, from the poor West African country of Mauritania, asked U.S. officials for asylum.

Camara’s arduous journey highlights how immigration to the United States through its southern border is evolving. Instead of being almost exclusively people from Latin America, the stream of migrants crossing the Mexican border these days includes many who come from the other side of the world.

Almost 3,000 citizens of India were apprehended entering the U.S. from Mexico last year. In 2007, only 76 were. The number of Nepalese rose from just four in 2007 to 647 last year. More people from Africa are also seeking to get into the United States, with hundreds having reached Mexican towns across the border from Texas in recent weeks, according to local news reports from both sides of the border.

Camara’s journey began more than a year ago in the small town of Toulel, in southern Mauritania. He left Mauritania, where slavery is illegal but still practiced, “because it’s a country that doesn’t know human rights,” he said.
