  1. Overwhelming Majority Of Americans Believe “Political Correctness Is A Problem”

A new poll asks Americans whether or not “political correctness” is a problem.
It finds that overwhelming majorities of Americans that includes the vast majority of young people, the vast majority of black people, etc. think that Political Correctness is a real problem.
Americans really love their freedoms and don’t like being told they can’t say something.

Government spends millions to guard Confederate cemeteries

In this photo made Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, a security guard walks the grounds at North Alton Confederate Cemetery in Alton, Ill. The federal government has hired private security firms to guard several Confederate memorials across the U.S in the aftermath of clashes between white nationalists and counter-protesters last year. Information obtained by The Associated Press shows that nearly $3 million has been spent on contracted security since last summer and another $1.6 million is budgeted for similar protection in fiscal 2019. ALTON, Ill. (AP) — After last year’s deadly clash between white nationalists and counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Virginia, the federal government quietly spent millions of dollars to hire private security guards to stand watch over at least eight Confederate cemeteries, documents from the Department of Veterans Affairs show.

The security effort, which runs around the clock at all but one of those VA-operated cemeteries, was aimed at preventing the kind of damage that befell Confederate memorials across the U.S. in the aftermath of the Charlottesville violence.

    • To answer the question in the article yes the security is still needed, the radical left is still running around breaking the law and not being punished.

  3. U.S. voter records from 19 states sold on hacking forum

Ed. – The genie is definitely out of the bottle.]

Seller is asking $42,200 for all 19 US state voter databases.

The voter information for approximately 35 million US citizens is being peddled on a popular hacking forum, two threat intelligence firms have discovered.

“To our knowledge this represents the first reference on the criminal underground of actors selling or distributing lists of 2018 voter registration data,” said researchers from Anomali Labs and Intel471, the two companies who spotted the forum ad.

The two companies said they’ve reviewed a sample of the database records and determined the data to be valid with a “high degree of confidence.”

  4. Radical preacher Anjem Choudary has had his assets frozen, days before he is due to leave prison.
The 51-year-old, who was jailed for five-and-a-half years for inviting support for the Islamic State group, is expected to be released on Friday.
The BBC understands police have been preparing a list of up to 20 measures to control the east London preacher.
The government’s asset freezing team confirmed Choudary had been listed on a global record of known terrorists.

Former Met terror chief Richard Walton told BBC Newsnight that Choudary was a “hardened dangerous terrorist” and someone who has had a “huge influence on Islamist extremism in this country”.

The international list, overseen by the United Nations Security Council, is designed to prevent targets spending money on their causes.

In the entry, Choudary, who headed the banned al-Muhajiroun network, is described as a resident of Frankland Prison in County Durham and also known by the alias, Abu Luqman.
It states that Choudary “pledged allegiance to Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)”.
The asset freezing order means the preacher will be subject to extremely strict financial controls which typically mean that any attempt to open a bank account or move money will alert the authorities.
If his release goes ahead on Friday, the BBC understands that Choudary will stay in a probation hostel for up to the first six months of his licence, which continues until July 2021.

The BBC also understands Choudary will be subject to licence conditions including:

A ban from preaching at or attending certain mosques
He will only be allowed to associate with people who have been approved by the authorities
He will be allowed one phone and is banned from using an internet-enabled device without permission
Use of the internet will be supervised
He will not be able to leave the UK without permission from his probation officer

Mr Walton told BBC Newsnight that he tried to convict Choudary 10 times over 12 to 13 years, but failed because the the law “was not robust enough”.

He said a new counter-terrorism bill, which is currently with the House of Lords, would address this issue and will allow police to prosecute below the existing threshold for incitement to commit terrorism.

He added that more convicted terrorists are due to be released, saying they will “place a burden on the police and the intelligence agencies”.

Choudary is due for automatic release after serving half his sentence.

  5. Antifa Hangs Severed Pig Heads and Signs Calling for Revolutionary Violence at Texas Political Offices

An Antifa group in Texas placed severed pig heads at polling stations and campaign offices in Austin along with signs calling for revolutionary violence last week.

The pig carcasses and the violently worded signs were placed at the offices of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, but also at his Democrat opponent’s office, according to images posted to Twitter.

The graffiti was supposedly created by a communist group calling itself Red Guards Austin. One of the signs read, “Cuz and O’Rourke are imperialist pigs. Elections, NO! Revolution, Yes!”

After attacking five separate GOP offices, Antifa has escalated their extremist activities by placing severed pig heads at multiple polling locations and campaign offices in the Austin, TX area. This comes directly on the heels of the media accusing Republicans of “seizing” on the “angry mob” mantra in order to generate a better turnout for the midterms.

  6. The Group Behind Internet Censorship of Conservatives is Backed by the Chinese

One of the biggest “research” groups behind the attacks on conservative free speech on the Internet this year is a company called “New Knowledge.” But now a new review of the company shows that one of its biggest backers is one of our biggest international opponents, the Red Chinese.

New Knowledge co-founder Jonathon Morgan describes his his company as a “cybersecurity company specializing in disinformation defense for highly visible brands under attack by coordinated disinformation campaigns. Through machine learning and AI we detect threats and provide brand manipulation protection before damage is done.”

It is this “disinformation” that New Knowledge has been hired to root out and it is their work that has served as a basis for attacks on conservatives by The Washington Post and The Atlantic, not to mention the efforts by Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others to eliminate conservatives from the Internet.

  7. Hillary Clinton in auro accident on way to fund raiser

    https://twitter.com/twitter/statuses/1052202944072945664

https://bigleaguepolitics.com/watch-hillary-clinton-suv-crashes-on-way-to-bob-menendez-fundraiser/Failed presidential candidate Hillary R. Clinton was involved in a car accident on her way to a fundraiser for Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) Monday night.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee posted video of the accident, which occurred in a parking garage, to their Twitter account.

According to NTK, Clinton occupied the van with longtime aid Huma Abedin. Both were shaken, but unharmed.

This continues a disastrous midterm year for Clinton, who has been chastised even by fellow Democrats for her presence on the campaign trail. After saying that Democrats “cannot be civil” towards Republicans, her rhetoric has been denounced.

  8. Liberals Discover the Dangers of a Powerful Supreme Court

Of a sudden, government by judiciary isn’t working for them.

Who knew? Leftists have discovered to their horror that judicial government might not be good for them. Turning power over to judges might be a bad idea. Jurists can work for the other side. They can impose hostile values. They can undermine democracy. Someone needs to do something!

Slate recently hosted a debate among analysts over what to do about the looming threat posed by the horrid angry partisan Brett Kavanaugh. Having dominated the court for decades and relied on it to impose policy outcomes without popular support, they appear shell-shocked.

For instance, Slate’s Mark Joseph Stern warned that the newly confirmed Kavanaugh “will become part of a five-justice-conservative block that will swiftly roll back decades of progressive jurisprudence.” Alas, there is little evidence that any such reversal is likely, or likely to be swift — remember Chief Justice John Roberts’ determination to uphold Obamacare on grounds that even the left didn’t take seriously, that the program was a tax. Nevertheless, the imagined progressive golden age inaugurated by enlightened lawyers is going a-glimmering.

Given the fact that it has taken a half dozen GOP presidents decades to create a seemingly “conservative” majority, which has its own divisions over such issues as executive power and civil liberties, liberals shouldn’t whine. They have long enjoyed the benefits of an activist judiciary which only slowed down in recent years. It seems only fair for democratic change to eventually transform the court.

China Sells $3 Billion of US Debt as Trade War Surges

    • Tim Pool is right and wrong, the Proud Boys are being prosecuted for continuing the attack after the Antifa type was on the ground. The problem is that he was still moving and capable of fighting, letting him get back up to attack you again is not survival oriented. The laws that say you stop when the opponent is on the ground were written by people who were trying to make sport rules apply to life and death situations. In more civilized time they might have worked (at least part of the time) they won’t work now because of the no mercy policy of antifa and BLM. The Dems are writing the rules and want them to say we win you lose. We are fighting back saying up yours we win and you lose.

    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1428416/egypt-450-terrorists-killed-sinai-operation

“The Egyptian military announced on Tuesday that some 450 terrorists have been killed in the ongoing Sinai 2018 operation aimed at eliminating the ISIS group from the peninsula.

The operation was launched in February to rid Sinai of ISIS terrorists.

Since the start of the campaign, 450 extremists were presumed to have been killed “in the north and the center of Sinai by (soldiers) and police,” army spokesman Tamer al-Rifai told AFP.

Forces dismantled more than 1,200 explosive devices and destroyed some 1,900 vehicles and motorcycles since February, he added.

According to army figures, around 30 soldiers have been killed during the operation.

The government has also paid out 1 billion 380 million Egyptian pounds (more than $77 million) to compensate residents who have been forced to leave their homes in northern Sinai, said Rifai.

The terrorists began an insurgency in Egypt after the 2013 ouster of President Mohammed Morsi.”

  12. US Sanctions Iran over Child Soldier Recruitment (aawsat, Oct 16, 2018)

“The United States imposed sanctions against Iran on Tuesday over its support for a network that supports the recruitment and training of child soldiers for its Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).

The Treasury sanctioned the multi-billion-dollar Bonyad Taavon Basij network that provides financial infrastructure to the Basij Resistance Force, a paramilitary force that works for IRGC.

Both Basij groups were targeted by the new sanctions.

“This vast network provides financial infrastructure to the Basij’s efforts to recruit, train, and indoctrinate child soldiers who are coerced into combat under the IRGC’s direction,” said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

The Basij is involved in violent crackdowns and serious human rights abuses within Iran, the statement said…”

  13. Jamal Khashoggi’s killing took seven minutes, Turkish source tells MEE (mee, Oct 16, 2018)
    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/exclusive-khashoggi-829291552

“It took seven minutes for Jamal Khashoggi to die, a Turkish source who has listened in full to an audio recording of the Saudi journalist’s last moments told Middle East Eye.

Khashoggi was dragged from the Consul General’s office at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul and onto the table of his study next door, the Turkish source said.

Horrendous screams were then heard by a witness downstairs, the source said.

“The consul himself was taken out of the room. There was no attempt to interrogate him. They had come to kill him,” the source told MEE.

The screaming stopped when Khashoggi – who was last seen entering the Saudi consulate on 2 October – was injected with an as yet unknown substance.

Salah Muhammad al-Tubaigy, who has been identified as the head of forensic evidence in the Saudi general security department, was one of the 15-member squad who arrived in Ankara earlier that day on a private jet.

Tubaigy began to cut Khashoggi’s body up on a table in the study while he was still alive, the Turkish source said.

The killing took seven minutes, the source said.

As he started to dismember the body, Tubaigy put on earphones and listened to music. He advised other members of the squad to do the same.

“When I do this job, I listen to music. You should do [that] too,” Tubaigy was recorded as saying, the source told MEE.

A three-minute version of the audio tape has been given to Turkish newspaper Sabah, but they have yet to release it.

A Turkish source told the New York Times that Tubaigy was equipped with a bone saw. He is listed as the president of the Saudi Fellowship of Forensic Pathology and a member of the Saudi Association for Forensic Pathology.

In 2014, London-based Saudi newspaper Asharaq al-Awsat interviewed Tubaigy about a mobile clinic that allows coroners to perform autopsies in seven minutes to determine the cause of death of Hajj pilgrims.

The newspaper reported that the mobile clinic was partly designed by Tubaigy and could be used in “security cases that requires pathologist intervention to perform an autopsy or examine a body at the place of a crime”.

These are the first details to emerge of the Saudi journalist’s killing. Khashoggi was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 2 October to retrieve paperwork.

To date, Saudi officials have strongly denied any involvement in his disappearance and say that he left the consulate soon after arriving. However, they have not presented any evidence to corroborate their claim and say that video cameras at the consulate were not recording at the time…”

  14. Pakistan wants US to stay in Afghanistan until peace is achieved: DG ISPR (tribune, Oct 16, 2018)
    https://tribune.com.pk/story/1827221/1-pakistan-wants-us-stay-afghanistan-peace-achieved-dg-ispr/

“Pakistan thinks that the US forces must stay in Afghanistan till complete peace is achieved in the war-torn country, Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said.

Maj Gen Ghafoor arrived in the United Kingdom last week as part of a military delegation headed by army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Peace in Afghanistan is imperative for lasting peace in Pakistan and the region, spokesperson of the military’s media wing said in an address at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

Maj Gen Ghafoor highlighted that the al Qaeda could never be defeated without Pakistan’s assistance. He noted that terror activities had marginally decreased in the wake of Pakistan Army’s operations.

The world, he added, should thank Pakistan for eliminating terrorism. Pakistan has numerous sacrifices for achieving peace in the region. The DG also said that terrorists who were against women’s education had targeted Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai.”

Pakistan Is Asian, China Said So

The Pakistani government announced on October 2 that Saudi Arabia will not join the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Speaking at a joint news conference with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Planning and Development Khusro Bakhtiar said there was no decision to bring in a third country.

“Saudi Arabia is not to become a collateral strategic partner in the CPEC. This impression is not true. The framework between China and Pakistan is bilateral and Saudi Arabia is not entering that framework as a third-party investor, rather the base of CPEC will be broadened and its pace will be expedited.”

  15. The Strategic Role of Saudi Arabia

The editorial boards of newspapers rarely employ strategists, so it should be no surprise when we see both the New York Times and the Washington Post openly wondering what America needs with Saudi Arabia. They have a handle on some of the facts – America is increasingly energy independent, and soon to be an exporter rather than an importer of energy; the Kingdom relies on the United States’ security guarantees for its stability and possibly for its survival. The question they ask is why, then, the United States needs Saudi Arabia (KSA) at all. It is important that the answer to that question be understood.
