  1. A professor at the public Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, offered extra credit to her students if they attended a rally for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams.
Clayton State Professor Andrea Allen came under fire this week after it was revealed that she offered extra credit to her students for attending a democratic rally. Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams was scheduled to speak on campus with Senator Elizabeth Warren and Allen wanted to ensure that all of her students to attend.

“Although I never offer extra credit, I’m making a onetime exception. I’m sure you’ve heard by now that the Abrams campaign along with Senator Warren are visiting campus tomorrow at 10 am in the UC commons,” she wrote in the email to her students. “They would like a really big turnout. To help out I’m offering the following opportunity: If you attend, take a selfie of you at the events, and upload a pic to the folder I’m creating in D2L, I’ll add 2 bonus points to your final grade.”

  2. WASHINGTON, D.C., October 12, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Another homosexual judge with ties to a LGBT legal group is among President Donald Trump’s latest batch of judicial nominees, this time to the influential Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The White House announced a handful of federal appointees Wednesday, including assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Bumatay. A member of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Tax Forces Section in the Southern District of California, Bumatay currently advises Attorney General Jeff Sessions on issues including opioids and organized crime.

National Review adds that he worked on the confirmations for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, and Justice Neil Gorsuch, as well as Bush administration Attorney General Michael Mukasey.

    Background
In 1985 my family moved to Israel for two years, playing our part in reclaiming a heretofore unclaimed portion of our Biblical patrimony. So, with 35 other young families, we co-founded the new community of Neve Aliza in Ginot Shomron (“Samaria Gardens”) in the heart of Samaria, the northern half of what is falsely misnomered as the “West Bank.” Neve Aliza since has grown by 600%, with Ginot Shomron likewise now comprising part of greater metropolitan Karnei Shomron. Karnei Shomron now has a population of some 8,000 people, approximately the population of Malibu or Sedona, Arizona. Israel-haters call it a “West Bank settlement.”

In those years, Israel was governed primarily under socialist economic principles. Always a democracy, Israel’s governing institutions nevertheless were founded by deeply non-religious and even anti-religious secular socialists who had fled Tsarist Russia in the late 1800s. For half a century, until the Menachem Begin earthquake election of 1977, Israel was governed by coalitions led by the leftist Labor Party. They had built the socialist kibbutzim (agricultural socialist collectives) that the liberal media idealized. These were the darlings of the leftist-liberal media during Israel’s nascent years, names like Ben-Gurion, Rabin, Dayan, Golda Meir. Leftist socialists all.

Today, and for the past several decades, Israel’s kibbutz movement and socialism is all but dead. That is why socialist Bernie Sanders has led the way incorporating anti-Israel policies into the Democrat party. Today’s Israelis despise and reject socialism (outside their academia, mainstream media, and entertainment industry — sound familiar?). The leftist Labor Party is in shambles. Benjamin Netanyahu’s center-conservative Likud coalition reigns.

The UN is a useless joke. Justin Trudeau keeps wasting Canadian taxpayers money abroad trying to get his seat at the UN Security Council. Instead, we should reassert our sovereignty and stop pretending that this corrupt international bureaucracy has any credibility.

  5. The definition of “woman” was banned from the sides of buses in Edinburgh over fears it could offend trans people and the rest of the general public.

Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, 44, paid more than £2,000 for the word, with the slogan #adulthumanfemale, to appear on ten buses in the Scottish capital.

However, she received a refund after Exterion Media, the company that controls advertising space for Lothian Buses, refused to display the adverts on the grounds that the message was “likely to offend” the general public.

A similar billboard in Liverpool, which stated: “woman, noun, adult human female”, was also paid for by Mrs Keen-Minshull last month but was taken down after it was described as part of a “hate speech” campaign by trans rights campaigners.

  6. A Professor at the University of North Carolina Asheville was arrested on Sunday and charged with a misdemeanor for stealing conservative political signs.
Dr. Amanda Wray, an associate professor who holds a Ph.D., turned herself into the local police on Sunday morning after she and another unidentified woman were allegedly spotted stealing conservative political signs, according to WLOS-TV.

The signs, which belong to the local Political Action Committee (PAC) Angry Buncombe Taxpayers, have been defaced throughout the county by unknown vandals.

In a Facebook post from October 3, the PAC’s treasurer, Mike Summey, shared photos of the defaced political signs, adding that they have served their purpose by exposing the behavior of those who support the Democrats in the county.

“They [the signs] have also exposed the vile and destructive conduct of those who support this corruption by defacing, destroying and stealing the signs,” wrote Summey, “New signs will start going up this week that urge votes to ‘Stop Theft and Corruption’ by voting Republican and giving the other party the opportunity [to] straighten out this mess.”

Two days later, Summey was driving home and noticed that some of the PAC’s signs were missing from the side of the road. As he kept driving, he spotted a woman walking down the road, carrying signs, who then stopped to uproot yet another sign paid for by the committee.

Summey told Breitbart News that as he pulled over to confront the woman, he noticed there was another woman assisting the first, who he identified as Dr. Wray.

“I informed them that they were breaking the law and that I’d call the police, but they kept walking.” Summey told Breitbart News.

“We’re just trying to put a message out there, and here we have a professor at a publicly funded university trying to shut it down. It’s a violation of our First Amendment rights, and we’re paying her salary.” He added.

Dr. Wray’s alleged conduct is a “Class 3 misdemeanor for a person to steal, deface, vandalize, or unlawfully remove a political sign that is lawfully placed under the section,” according to state statute.

  8. This article will likely be buried and lost in this file, but it means a great deal. America is transforming under Trump very fast. Sear’s demise is a big deal. Think about your life and about how Sears was always there. (Only North Americans, of course.) It’s pretty much gone now. Read this to understand the dynamic:

    • Sear’s demise is a big deal.

Believe me, I believe you. I live in the historic district of my town where hither, tither, and yon, mail order Craftsman houses dot my neighborhood. Sears was a true American icon. Pity the letter carriers that had to deliver each new issue of the catalog.

  9. Taliban Captures Afghanistan’s Southeastern City: Spokesman (tasnimnews, Oct 13, 2018)
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2018/10/13/1851748/taliban-captures-afghanistan-s-southeastern-city-spokesman

“In a statement released on Saturday, Mujahid said that Khoshamand was seized by Taliban forces following an attack on the headquarters of police in the city.

In the attack, the police chief of the city and 10 security forces were killed, six others were injured, and another six were captured by the Taliban militants, according to the statement.

He also said two members of the Taliban were killed and four others were injured in the clash with the police forces.

The development came as the US envoy for Afghanistan peace efforts arrived in Kabul on Saturday after meeting Taliban leaders in Qatar in an effort to find a way to end the 17-year-old war in the country, three Afghan officials said.

Zalmay Khalilzad, the Afghan-born US adviser, met with Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday and briefed him about his 10-day tour of four countries conducted in a bid to bring the Taliban to the negotiating table, Reuters reported.

A senior member of the Taliban confirmed that Khalilzad met the Taliban leadership on Friday in Doha.

“Both sides discuss prospects of peace and the US presence in Afghanistan,” said the official, requesting anonymity.”

  10. Trump Blackmailing Arab States through Iranophobia: Hezbollah Chief (tasnimnews, Oct 13, 2018)
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2018/10/13/1851445/trump-blackmailing-arab-states-through-iranophobia-hezbollah-chief

“The secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement said US President Donald Trump knows no limits in his efforts to blackmail Arab states of the Middle East region through the Iranophobic language.

Addressing his supporters via a televised speech broadcast live from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on Friday evening, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said Trump’s latest remarks that Iran planned to take control of the Middle East in just “12 minutes” were meant to lure regional rulers into paying him exorbitant sums of money in return for preserving their regimes.

“As (the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution) Imam Khomeini said the US government is an administration of thieves. It is a regime of theft. Former US presidents were also thieves but did not perpetrate their misdeeds blatantly. The incumbent one, however, robs Arab leaders and humiliates them at the same time,” Nasrallah pointed out, according to Press TV.

“Trump shows no respect for ethics, human rights and justice in his remarks. We are witness to a US regime, which does not shy away from using the language of contempt and humiliating anyone, albeit it might be their friend and ally,” he said.

The Hezbollah chief further noted that Trump views the Islamic Republic of Iran as a great and strong establishment, while considers all Arab states buying billions of dollars worth of weapons from him as fairly feeble that cannot last on their legs for more than 12 minutes without his support.

“Trump is making use of the anti-Iran rhetoric in a bid to sell billions of dollars worth of American munitions and military hardware to Arab rulers,” he said.

Nasrallah then advised Arab leaders to reconsider their reliance on American statesmen, saying, “The United States is the same country, which denied the deposed Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, a visa for cancer treatment. This came despite the fact that he used to be a long-time US ally in the region.”

“Arab leaders would better allocate the billions of dollars that they are paying Trump to solve their own nations’ problems,” the Hezbollah secretary general commented…”

    • The secretary general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement said US President Donald Trump knows no limits in his efforts to blackmail Arab states of the Middle East region through the Iranophobic language.

Said a senior official in one of Iran’s foremost terrorist proxy militaries currently being sicced upon Israel. This is yust more projection of Muslim bad intent upon anyone who dares to question the motivations of genocidal anti-Semitic jihadists.

Someone should remind Seyed Hassan Nostrallah that whenever you point the finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at you. Also, isn’t it hilarious how this terrorist maggot rarely makes any public appearances and sleeps in a different house every night?

  12. ‘Street watch force’ deployed in Karachi to control rampant street crimes (dawn, Oct 14, 2018)
    https://www.dawn.com/news/1438769/street-watch-force-deployed-in-karachi-to-control-rampant-street-crimes

“In order to curb unabated street crimes, a newly established ‘street watch force’ comprising 1,870 police personnel was deployed in Karachi on Saturday.

Addressing the force personnel at Garden police headquarters, where SSPs of all districts of the city were present, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Dr Amir Ahmed Shaikh announced that the force will be deployed at “hot spots” where street crimes are rampant.

He pointed out that new motorbikes have been provided to the security force: 80 to South and City areas, 80 to district East and 20 each to Malir, West and Korangi.

Four policemen riding two motorbikes will perform their duty for eight hours in designated areas. Mostly newly recruited policemen have been deployed for this purpose.

District SSPs will head the street watch force in their respective areas, the AIG said.

The force’s personnel have been directed to respond to any information regarding street crimes immediately.

Meanwhile, the city police chief announced a Rs50,000 reward for the policeman who was shot at and wounded by robbers in Sukhan area.

Another policeman was shot at and wounded during an ‘encounter’ with street criminals in Shah Latif Town area late on Friday night.

Separately, three suspected street criminals were arrested in an injured state after an encounter in Malir City area, also on Friday night.

Malir SSP Sheeraz Nazeer claimed that the injured suspects were involved in several street crime incidents.”

  13. Spain arrests four for migrant trafficking in drug boats (thelocal, Oct 13, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.es/20181013/spain-arrests-four-for-migrant-trafficking-in-drug-boats

“Four people were arrested in the Spanish overseas territory of Ceuta for charging migrants up to 2,000 euros to take them to the mainland in speedboats normally used for drug trafficking, police said Saturday.

It was unclear whether those arrested had been involved in drug trafficking and decided to change track, or if they had merely got hold of the vessels for their operations.

A Civil Guard police union warned last month that narcos in the country’s south had entered the lucrative trade of migrant trafficking, as more and more people try to reach Europe from Africa via Spain.

Police said the four detained allegedly led a gang in Ceuta that took Algerians who had already arrived in the overseas territory located in northern Morocco across the Mediterranean to the mainland.

Police said the gang charged between 1,800 and 2,000 euros per person for the trip, earning a profit of around 26,000 euros per vessel.

“Such were the profits of the organisation that its members found it better to devote themselves to this criminal field rather than that related to drugs,” they added in a statement.

Close to 40,600 migrants have reached Spain by sea since the start of the year with another 398 dying in the process, according to the latest figures of the International Organization for Migration.

That’s more than triple the amount of people who arrived at the same period last year.”

    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1031194/London-Dagenham-stabbing-man-stabbed-police-arrest-Hunters-Square

“A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been stabbed in Hunters Square in Dagenham, East London the Met Police have confirmed in the latest knife crime attack to plague the capital.

He has been rushed to an East London hospital, though his condition is not life-threatening.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 6.52pm by London Ambulance Service to reports of a fight on Hunters Square, Dagenham.

“Officers attended. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).

“He remains in police custody at this time.”

The local Barking and Dagenham police also released a statement via Twitter.

They said: “Police are on scene in Hunters Square, Dagenham following a serious assault where a male has been stabbed.

“A suspect has been arrested at the scene and taken to a east London police station.

“A crime scene is in place.”

London has seen a dramatic increase in violent crime over the past year.

In the year to June over 21,000 knife related offences were dealt with by the criminal justice system.

Two thirds of these were for possession of a blade.

Speaking falling the release of the figures, Justice Secretary Rory Stewart said: “We need sentences that punish anyone who commits knife crime and deters anyone from doing it in the future.”…”

‘Rock star economist’ Professor Jeffrey Sachs and U2’s Bono back back project
Report found scheme backed by billionaires failed to cut hunger in Kpasenkpe.

    ———————————————-

The Millennium Villages Project (MVP) began in 2005 to show that chucking cash at some of the planet’s poorest places could end extreme poverty, foster diversification from farming and spark sustainable development in just five years.
It was created by Professor Jeffrey Sachs, dubbed a ‘rock star economist,’ from Columbia University in New York, backed by the UN and billionaire philanthropists, and promoted by celebrities such as U2 frontman Bono.
But the DFID report concludes the project failed to meet many key aims and targets, saying: ‘Far from breaking the poverty trap, the project does not appear to have reduced poverty or hunger at all,’ adding that it had ‘fallen short of producing a synergistic effect’.
The authors admit to surprise that ‘the project did not improve some of the outcomes explicitly targeted by the intervention, such as child mortality, immunisation rates, antenatal care, access to drinking water and usage of mobile phones’.
They also criticise ‘misguided’ efforts to attract more girls than boys to school and suggest preferential help for some schools drained others of good teachers. Yet ‘the project did not improve children’s cognitive skills’.

      There, fixed that.

For much deeper insight into why this happens, please read the excellent interview by Der Spiegel of Kenyan economic expert, James Shikwati:

For God’s Sake, Please Stop the Aid!

An excerpt: “Huge bureaucracies are financed (with the aid money), corruption and complacency are promoted, Africans are taught to be beggars and not to be independent. In addition, development aid weakens the local markets everywhere and dampens the spirit of entrepreneurship that we so desperately need. As absurd as it may sound: Development aid is one of the reasons for Africa’s problems. If the West were to cancel these payments, normal Africans wouldn’t even notice. Only the functionaries would be hard hit. Which is why they maintain that the world would stop turning without this development aid.”

Not very long and well worth reading.
