    • All of which leads me to speculate that—at least according to Banksy—slashing a few Rembrandts will drive up their market value, no? This is fetishism brought to new and obscene heights. An obsession with publicity and celebrity has completely overshadowed artistic excellence to the point of eclipsing actual beauty or any mastery of portrayal. Allegory and detail be damned just so long as ownership of some media darling’s abject drivel is involved.

However simplistic, it is all too easy to trace this “Emperor’s New Clothes” of the art world back to monumental frauds like Jackson Pollock—whose children I went to school with—and Marcel Duchamp (see my heroes, Chinese performance artists Yuan Chai and Jian Jun Xi who used Duchamp’s “Fountain” for its original purpose).

More recently, flim-flam experts like Tracy “My Bed” Emin have polluted the art world with “confessional” works which might as well have been dragged out of a pay-by-the-hour flophouse. Her elevation to Royal Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts is indicative of just how degraded so-called “modern art” has become.

SIDEBAR: For those who are tempted to give up all hope, please take a moment to review the works of Jose Royo. His outstanding control of light and use of impasto texturing can only be appreciated by viewing his works in person.

For a less recent great master, please consider examining the works of Filipino icon, Fernando Amorsolo. Famous for depicting rural Philippine landscapes, his works have become national anthropological treasures for their priceless capture of traditional apparel, agricultural practices, and celebratory occasions. Amorsolo traveled to Europe and studied the Old Masters as part of learning to expertly control light and color in his paintings.

To continue, just as inviting is to indict the entire Dadaist movement as they sold the art-buying public a bill of goods for works that many finger painting five year-olds could outpace. Much like “modern classical music”—for extreme hilarity, please see: “Composer pays for piece of silence“—the preposterous codswallop being foisted upon art aficionados, and enthusiastically gobbled down by them like so much tripe, is emblematic of just how far gone such outdated notions of taste or acculturation have become.

  2. Turkey discloses recorded audio documenting Khashoggi’s assassination to US (memo, Oct 12, 2018)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20181012-turkey-discloses-recorded-audio-documenting-khashoggis-assassination-to-us/

“The Turkish authorities have informed the United States of an audio recording documenting the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who entered on Tuesday the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, reported the Washington Post Thursday.

US president Donald Trump said that Saudi Arabia appears to be somewhat involved in the assassination or disappearance of Khashoggi, noting that the US, Turkey and other countries are investigating the case and will discover the truth.

The 15 Saudis who arrived in Istanbul on 2 October, the day Khashoggi disappeared, and visited the Saudi consulate, while the missing journalist was still there, were behind the alleged assassination. They transported then Khashoggi’s body outside the consulate.

The sources added that the Turkish government, which is employing a strategy of gradual media leakages of the information and evidence on Khashoggi’s case, told the Americans about the sound recording in its possession. Such move took place after The Washington Post has confirmed that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has intercepted calls between Saudi officials discussing a designated attempt to lure the Saudi oppositionist into the consulate, before his disappearance.

Simultaneously, the American president stated that the truth about Khashoggi’s mysterious disappearance “should be unveiled before discussing any arms deal with Saudi Arabia.” He added that it would be terrible and undoubtedly harmful if the Saudi kingdom were implicated in the journalist’s disappearance or death.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump explained that, after some congressmen threatened to dismantle the US arms deals with Riyadh, he wishes not to undertake a one-track approach on the issue, for such early demarche would harm the country’s national interests.

In another statement, Trump indicated that he spoke to Saudi officials at the highest level about the disappearance of the Saudi journalist. He expressed his willingness to invite Khashoggi’s fiancée to the White House, claiming that he is continuously in contact with her.

On the other hand, The New York Times quoted a source it did not name saying that the Turkish authority possesses a video documenting Khashoggi’s assassination inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

According to the newspaper’s source, who revealed, on condition of anonymity, that “The Turkish National Intelligence Organisation got a video clip of the murder, filmed by the Saudi assassination team to prove the execution of the task entrusted to them.

The New York Times published another scoop, endorsing the information disclosed by its secret source. Accordingly, Kemal Ozturk, a columnist for a newspaper close to the Turkish government and a former head of a semi-official news agency, claimed in an interview on a television network that “there is a video documenting the moment of Khashoggi’s death.”

The newspaper also quoted a senior Turkish official saying that Turkish security officials concluded that Khashoggi was assassinated inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, following orders of the highest levels issued by the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia.

The official revealed that the assassination was complex but fast. Khashoggi was murdered within two hours of his arrival at the consulate at the hands of Saudi agents, who dismembered him using a bone saw they brought especially for this purpose.

Saudi officials, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have denied Khashoggi’s assassination and insisted that he left the consulate freely, shortly after his arrival. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has asked Saudis to provide proof of their claim.

Turkish officials, who spoke to The New York Times on condition of anonymity, declined the demand to publicly disclose the evidence they had, noting at the same time that the possibility of unveiling such information could not be ruled out.”

  3. Morocco’s BCIJ Has Dismantled 57 Terrorist Cells Since 2015 (moroccoworldnews, Oct 12, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/10/255186/morocco-bcij-terrorist-cells-2015/

“Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) has dismantled 57 terror cells since its creation in 2015.

Since the beginning of 2018, BCIJ has dismantled eight terror cells. The BCIJ dismantled 9 cells in 2017, 19 in 2016, and 21 in 2015.

Abdelhak Khiame, the head of the BCIJ, shared his statistics in a recent interview with Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).

The head of BCIJ said that Morocco has dismantled 183 terror cells since 2002.

Fifty-one out of the 57 cells dismantled since 2015 were connected with ISIS.

“The strength of Morocco in the fight against terrorism is mainly due to the close collaboration between the various services responsible for ensuring security,” said Khiame.

According to Khiame, 1,666 Moroccans went to join conflicts in Iraq and Syria, of whom 929 joined ISIS.

Nearly 225 other fighters have a criminal record related to terrorism.

Khiame added that 642 Moroccan fighters died in Syria and Iraq due to terrorist suicidal operations.

BCIJ’s latest terrorist cell arrests took place on September 18. BCIJ arrested 12 suspects for links to terror and criminal networks in Casablanca and Tangier.

Morocco introduced the BCIJ in 2015. The bureau has monitored security threats across the country and assisted foreign security agencies in combating terrorism.

BCIJ’s role in fighting terrorism is well recognized. In its latest report on terrorism, the US Department of State asserted that Morocco has a “comprehensive counterterrorism strategy that includes vigilant security measures, regional and international cooperation.”

BCIJ is the main body in charge of fighting terrorism. However, Morocco’s General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST) work together to conduct border inspections in airports.

During the same interview with MAP, Khiame said that Morocco’s brigade against organized crimes (BLCCO) has arrested 167 suspects involved in organized crimes since 2015.”

  4. Street name of new US embassy building in Ankara to be changed to ‘Malcolm X’ (hurriyetdailynews, Oct 12, 2018)
    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/street-name-of-new-us-embassy-building-in-ankara-to-be-changed-to-malcolm-x-137803

“A bill suggesting to change the street name of the new United States Embassy to “Malcolm X” has been submitted to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Council.

The embassy will move to its new address at 1478 Street in the Çukurambar neighborhood when construction is completed.

The street will be named after the American human rights activist, who is known for his struggle for the black and Muslim people in the U.S. in the 1950s until his assassination in 1965.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an had met the daughters of Malcolm X, Qubilah and Ilyasah Shabazz, during his visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

“He has invited me to Turkey. Mr. Erdo?an said they have planned to give my father’s name to a street in Ankara and he invited us to the opening ceremony. That will probably happen this year,” said Ilyasah Shabazz after the meeting on Sept. 24.

The proposal will be voted on at a council meeting after being approved in the naming commission.

The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality had changed the street name of the current U.S. Embassy building to “Olive Branch” in February after the military operation against ISIL and YPG militants in northern Syria.

The YPG, deemed the Syrian offshoot of the illegal PKK, is supported by the U.S. in fighting against the ISIL.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union.”

    • The street will be named after the American human rights activist, who is known for his struggle for the black and Muslim people in the U.S. in the 1950s until his assassination in 1965.

Only Merkel’s trial, conviction, and execution will signal any significant departure from Europe’s current suicidal sociocultural trajectory. Until then, expect civil war as the sole reasonable outcome.

  6. Underage refugees in Germany increasingly going missing (DW, Oct 12, 2018)
    https://www.dw.com/en/underage-refugees-in-germany-increasingly-going-missing/a-45871135

“German authorities do not know the whereabouts of some 900 refugees under the age of 14. The head of a German children’s charity said the new figures were alarming.

The number of refugees under the age of 14 who are missing in Germany has increased in recent months despite a drop in the total number of refugee arrivals, according to the German Child Welfare Association.

The number increased from 895 children in July to 902 in October, the association said, citing figures from the Federal Criminal Office.

The new figures were “alarming” and underlined how countries across the European Union need to improve their support for underage refugees, said the head of the German Child Welfare Association, Holger Hofmann.

Missing Children Europe, a charity, said criminal gangs across the continent are increasingly trying to pressure underage refugees to leave official care facilities. It added that many become victims of human or sexual trafficking, forced begging or drug smuggling.

The German Child Welfare Association said prevention efforts were undermined by the Federal Criminal Office’s lack of data on why and how children went missing.

“It is harder to institute preventive measures because we are fumbling in the dark,” an association spokesman said.”

    • These people travel unaccompanied across CONTINENTS,and these snowflakes are worried that they may come to harm?having gone underground they are free to commit as many crimes as they please ,for who can tell who they are, they can profess any identity they choose, pretend that they need an interpreter, and confuse the authorities with frequent name changes, and it is the European who pays the emotional and physical price.

  7. BREAKING: London Bloodbath – Man SHOT in Hackney moped drive-by ATTACK (express, Oct 13, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1030926/London-shooting-Hackney-Amherst-road-man-shot-moped-attack-police

“A SHOOTING on Amhurst Road in Hackney has left a man in hospital after a brutal drive-by moped attack, as the capital’s violent crime wave continues.

Police believe the attack was carried out by two men on a moped, and a crime scene remains in place.

The victim has been taken to an east London hospital with gunshot injuries.

A police statement said: “Police were called at approximately 9.30pm on Friday, 12 October to reports of a shooting in Amhurst Road, near the junction with Downs Passage, E8.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“Officers from the Central East Command Unit investigate.”

    No arrests have been made.

In August the number of people murdered in London so far this year reached 100.

Violent crime has been soaring in the capital…”

    • Violent crime has been soaring in the capital…

To date, academicians, scholars, and media mavens all abjectly refuse making any connection to the election of Muslim London Mayor, Sadiq Khan.

Once the locus of educational, scientific, and engineering excellence, England has become a nation of fatally slow learners.

  8. If you are not familiar with this latest ‘NPC’ meme development on social media, let me fill you in.

“NPC’ is a character in a videogame that is not controlled by another player, and is a poorly programmed shallow creature, repeating a small set of pre-canned phrases and doing the same repetitive things over and over. Not much computing power is being used.

    Much like SJWs…

Which is why SJW’s are so upset that they are being memed up as NPCs…. Yelling about dehumanizing fascists, getting ready to slaughter them. Too bad they have been calling us Russian bots for 2 years, so right back at you, NPCs!

    Here is an example:
