  1. Germany: Turkish anti-terror unit cars spotted in Berlin, intimidating Erdogan’s critics (Jihadwatch Oct 11, 2011)
    https://www.jihadwatch.org/2018/10/germany-turkish-anti-terror-unit-cars-spotted-in-berlin-intimidating-erdogans-critics

““Turkish ‘police cars’ spotted in Berlin,” translated from “Türkische ‘Polizeiwagen’ in Berlin gesichtet,” Kronen Zeitung, October 11, 2018 (thanks to Searchlight Germany):

The government-critical Turkish journalist Can Dündar lives in Germany under police protection since the state visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In Berlin, other critics no longer feel safe. To intimidate them, in the German capital several cars drive around which resemble those of the anti-terror unit “Özel Harekat,” as images in social networks show. The police confirmed, meanwhile, corresponding media reports. At least three of the questionably designed cars have been seen so far.

The vehicles, which resemble those of the Turkish special unit, drive openly since the visit of Erdogan to Berlin, as stated in German media reports. In any case, in the case of Turkish opposition members living in Berlin, the cars would cause concern and anxiety. The sightings are now making headlines not only in Germany, but also in Turkey.

The left-wing domestic politician, Hakan Tas, filed a complaint with the Berlin police. “The idea that such vehicles of the Erdogan regime are now on the streets and are being seen by pursued critics, leaves me no peace,” said Tas….”

  2. Trump Stands Firm Against Bias and Abuses at International Organizations

BESA Center Perspectives Paper No. 972, October 11, 2018

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: President Donald Trump believes his controversial standing at home and assertive policies abroad lie behind the pattern of countries daring to challenge American interests in international organizations. He has responded with an aggressive new strategy against widespread abuses and anti-Americanism at the UN and a host of other international fora. Trump’s strategy serves Jerusalem’s interests because Israel has been a consistent victim of obsession, hostility, hypocrisy, and double standards on the floors of many of these organizations.

Critics of President Donald Trump often accuse him of being erratic and inconsistent on foreign policy. In one particular area, however, he has been clear and consistent: the UN, international organizations, and international law.

As in other areas of foreign policy and national security, Trump has completely reversed the policies of his predecessor Barack Obama. From the beginning of his tenure in the White House, Trump has shown little respect for the Security Council, the UN General Assembly, and several other UN and international agencies. He views them as highly politicized, corrupt, ineffective, and anti-American.

  3. WATCH: Another Abortion Activist Assaults a Pro-Life Woman, Hitting Her With a Metal Clamp

The incident, which was captured on video, shows a woman shoving and throwing things at Katie Somers, a pro-life advocate with Toronto Against Abortion, as she spoke to people about unborn babies.

Earlier this month, a pro-life advocate with Campaign Life Coalition also reported being assaulted, allegedly by abortion activist Jordan Hunt, during a different pro-life rally Sept. 30 in Toronto. Police said Hunt turned himself in after a video of the assault went viral.

In the latest reported case, pro-lifers with Toronto Against Abortion said they were doing an outreach Oct. 1 when abortion activists with the Ryerson Reproductive Justice Collective began a counter protest.

Blaise Alleyne, one of the pro-life team members, said they were engaged in civil discussion with several of the counter-protesters when one of them, allegedly Gabby Skwarko, became hostile.

The video shows Skwarko knocking over one of their signs, pushing Somers repeatedly, grabbing something out of her backpack and then throwing the item.

“She chased after me, grabbed my full, stainless steel water bottle and smashed it on the ground, then grabbed my backpack, yanking me back and forth,” Somers said, recounting the attack. “I yelled, ‘Get away from me!’ And she came after me and shoved me. She then moved on to Blaise, bumping him in the chest with hers and saying, ‘Let’s go, are you filming me? Let’s do this!’”

  4. IRGC Chief: Israeli Regime Nearing Its End (tasnimnews, Oct 11, 2018)
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2018/10/11/1850270/irgc-chief-israeli-regime-nearing-its-end

“Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reaffirmed support for the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel, which he said is moving closer to its end.

In a message to Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, IRGC Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari offered his condolences over death of Aminah Salameh, mother of three Lebanese martyrs of the axis of resistance, including Imad Mughniyah.

Paying tribute to the revered mother of Mughniyah and all members of the anti-Israeli resistance movement, the Iranian general reasserted the IRGC’s pledge of support for the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel until the termination of such “an epitome of evil and crime”.

General Jafari added that the Israeli regime is getting closer and closer to its collapse.

In November last year, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the battle against the Zionist regime of Israel as a “sacred” one and a collective responsibility of the entire Muslim world, recommending efforts to diversify the continued fight against Tel Aviv.”

  5. This is an old speech but is very much about what is happening right now.

“A Time for Choosing” by Ronald Reagan

    • Pay close attention to the amounts of money he talks about, Harvard for one year cost $2700 the planned inflation of the Keynesian economics is what drove the prices up, way up.

      • Talking about the inflation, back then paper back books were $.40 per book, hard backs were $1 to $1 and comic books were 10 cents a book.

“A sleeper cell of Jamaat al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, an international terror group outlawed in Russia and operates in Syria, was uncovered in West Siberia’s Tomsk Region, the Federal Security Service press service said on Wednesday.

Members of the cell were engaged in recruitment and the formation of cells to participate in terrorist activities, including the implementation of terrorist operations on Russian territory.

This terror clan was involved “in combat actions on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic against members of the regular army and the official Syrian government,” the press service said.

The operation was conducted by the Federal Security Service (the FSB), the Interior Ministry, and the National Guard.

Criminal charges for inciting terrorist acts was pressed against the leader of the terrorist cell, who is a citizen of a Central Asian country.

According to the FSB, the group’s leader had encouraged his acquaintances to carry out terrorist acts in Syria, contacting with them through the Telegram messenger and in person.

The recruiter was aware that the group could be tasked with committing terrorism-related crimes in Russia.

The man has been arrested and faces up to 15 years behind bars. Three other group members, who are the recruiter’s fellow nationals, have been detained.

Meanwhile, investigations with detainees arrested by Russian security in more than one province have revealed that ISIS has been planning to carry out operations in Russia, targeting military headquarters and families of Russian officers fighting in Syria…”

  8. Spain Dismantles Network Smuggling Weapons to Morocco in Speedboats (moroccoworldnews, Oct 11, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/10/255115/spain-smuggling-weapons-speedboats/

“Spain has dismantled a drug trafficking network trying to smuggle cannabis and advanced weapons into Morocco via speedboats.

Spanish authorities stopped the boats carrying black market arms worth about MAD 8.23 million, ten minutes after their departure, reported Moroccan newspaper, Al Massae on Wednesday.

Members of the dismantled network in Cadiz, a city in southwest Spain, confessed that in addition to smuggling machine guns and pistols, they had planned to traffick cannabis to the North African country.

In Morocco, customs officers at Tangier Med Port arrested two Moroccan nationals residing in Spain for bringing in undeclared goods on Tuesday. Customs seized €20,000 in undeclared cash from one, and 133 phones, 7 tablets, and 50 second-hand smartphones from the other.

  9. Foreign-born people remain under-represented in Swedish parliament (thelocal, Oct 11, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.se/20181011/foreign-born-people-remain-under-represented-in-swedish-parliament

“The proportion of Swedish MPs with a foreign background has not risen since the last mandate period, and is significantly lower than the corresponding proportion of the general population, a new study reveals.

Just over one in ten (11.5 percent) of Swedish members of parliament have a foreign background, according to the survey carried out by Sveriges Radio Ekot, compared to 24 percent of the Swedish population as a whole.

The survey defined ‘foreign background’ as either someone who themselves was born abroad, or who was born in Sweden to two foreign-born parents.

“You put your own experience into politics, so from that perspective it’s important to have good representation,” Social Democrat MP Serkan Köse told The Local. Köse was born in Turkey and moved to Sweden as a ten-year-old with his mother and siblings.

“I think we have good representation in my party. We have different kinds of knowledge and backgrounds: age, gender, people from different areas of Sweden,” he said. “It’s about having good experience and also different kinds of cultures and backgrounds completing each other.”

As for how Köse’s own background has influenced his work and focus as a politician, he said: “It differs from day to day. I always put my experiences and perspective into debates about what we call ‘multicultural’ questions in Swedish society. In the labour market commission we talk about the situation for people with non-Swedish background and we want to do more for this group, so I put in my own perspective. I try my best to show how I see this from my multicultural perspective.”

There were large differences between the eight parties that are represented in Swedish parliament, with the highest proportion of Swedes with a foreign background (32 percent) in the Left Party compared to just three percent of the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats.

Among the Liberals, 20 percent of MPs had a foreign background, compared to 14.3 percent of the Moderate Party, 12.5 percent of the Green Party, 10 percent of the Social Democrats, 6.5 percent of the Centre Party, and 4.6 percent of the Christian Democrats.

Previous research into representation of foreign-born Swedes in municipal politics has suggested that people in this group are particularly poorly represented at higher levels of politics. There did not seem to be a correlation with candidates’ age, gender, or level of education, but those who had lived in Sweden for more than 20 years were more likely to reach higher-level positions.

Foreign-born residents are also less likely to vote in elections than native-born Swedes, with the turnout rate at 72 percent among this group compared to 90 percent among native Swedes in the 2014 elections (the corresponding statistics for the 2018 election have not yet been released).

As The Local reported earlier this year, Swedish organizations led several initiatives to encourage democratic participation among the country’s foreign-born Swedes ahead of the September election.”

    • Unrepresented.
But what % of the foreign-born Swedes who can read, write, and speak Swedish? What % of the tax-paying “foreign-born Swedes”?

  10. UN set to lambast France for its ‘discriminatory’ 2010 burqa ban (thelocal, Oct 11, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.fr/20181011/un-body-to-point-finger-at-france-over-discriminatory-2010-burqa-ban

“The UN Human Rights Committee is set to rule that France’s 2010 law which forbids people from concealing their face in public is ‘discriminatory’ and ‘goes against religious freedom’, the French media has revealed.

In 2010, France’s controversial burqa ban made headlines around the world, and it may be about to hit the front pages again.

The UN Human Rights Committee (OHCHR) will shortly reveal its conclusion that the law, which forbids people from concealing their face in public – goes against ‘religious freedom’ and is ‘discriminatory against women’, French media has reported.

The OHCHR – a consultative body made up of independent international experts but which has no legal power to impose law changes and recently some politicians have called for the law to be hardened.

The subject came up last week after it was revealed that after France’s most-wanted man Redoine Faïd was arrested after 3 months on the run, had worn a burqa for disguise.

It is not the first time the committee has been asked to examine French law.

In August, the UN experts handed in their conclusion into the ‘Baby Loup’ case, in which a woman called Fatima Afif was fired from a nursery near Paris in 2008 for flouting company rules by wearing a headscarf.

They ruled that France had infringed religious freedom and that the case breached international agreements on human rights.

The woman’s lawyers took the case to the UN body after France’s highest court endorsed her dismissal in 2014 after a long legal battle. That year, the French court’s decision was also upheld by the European Court of Human Rights.Thecommittee advised the French government to take the necessary steps to prevent similar actions in the future.

The controversial case, named after the name of the nursery where it happened – was the basis for a new law on religious neutrality in private nurseries in France.”

  11. zero hedge – Stephen Miller’s 3rd Grade Teacher Says He Was An “Isolated” Child Who “Ate Glue”

Political opponents of Judge Brett Kavanaugh nearly derailed his confirmation to the Supreme Court over allegations stemming from his high school and early college days. But in a story published in its latest issue, the Hollywood Reporter has set a new standard for just how far back one can reach when digging up dirt about members of the Trump Administration or the president’s appointees. To wit, the magazine spoke with the third grade teacher of Trump advisor Stephen Miller (an advisor who is widely credited with masterminding the administration’s immigration policy), who shared some less-than-flattering anecdotes about Miller’s childhood behavior.

Nikki Fiske, who taught third grade at Franklin Elementary in Santa Monica, Calif. 25 years ago when Miller was a student, said her former pupil exhibited “strange” behaviors that reminded her of the “Peanuts” character Pig Pen. Fiske said she frequently tried to convince Miller to clean out his desk, where he “always had stuff mashed up in there.”

Do you remember that character in Peanuts, the one called Pig Pen, with the dust cloud and crumbs flying all around him? That was Stephen Miller at 8. I was always trying to get him to clean up his desk — he always had stuff mashed up in there.

One of young Miller’s more grotesque habits was eating dried glue off his arm – which sounds like something that only a burgeoning serial killer would do.

He was a strange dude. I remember he would take a bottle of glue — we didn’t have glue sticks in those days — and he would pour the glue on his arm, let it dry, peel it off and then eat it.

Uncertain about what to do with Miller, since he always performed well academically…

I remember being concerned about him — not academically. He was OK with that, though I could never read his handwriting. But he had such strange personal habits. He was a loner and isolated and off by himself all the time.

…Fiske said she tried including descriptions of Miller’s behavior in one of his progress reports. However, her testimony was scrubbed by the principle after Miller’s “horrified” parents read what she had written.

At the end of the year, I wrote all my concerns — and I had a lot of them — in his school record. When the school principal had a conference with Stephen’s parents, the parents were horrified. So the principal took some white-out and blanked out all my comments. I wish I could remember what I wrote, but this was 25 years ago. I’ve taught a lot of third-graders since then. Of course, Stephen wasn’t political then — it wasn’t until later that he started to make waves.

Given such strange childhood affectations, is it any wonder that this man matured into the single most vocal advocate for border separations? (just ignore the fact that this policy predates Miller’s arrival in the West Wing).

  12. BBC – Tommy Robinson: ‘You didn’t expose abuse’ –

When Tommy Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – the former leader of far-right group the EDL, was jailed for contempt of court, a petition for his release attracted more than half a million signatures.

No longer involved with the English Defence League, he has gathered support after campaigning against what he calls “Muslim grooming gangs,” following now concluded court cases around England.

He has also campaigned in Italy, Germany and other European countries where anti Islam parties have made electoral gains.

This phenomenon has not been seen in the UK but Tommy Robinson appears to be gaining some apparently more mainstream political backing.

The leader of UKIP has said he would like him to join his party. So, is Robinson tapping into anti-Muslim sentiment, or simply fermenting it – and what are the roots of his support?

This report by Gabriel Gatehouse contains strong language and comments some might find offensive.

  13. PEDERASTY in INDONESIA -Enslaved by the Cult: Exploitation of young boys in Java’s ancient tradition

RTD investigates the dark secret behind East Java’s traditional dance known as Reog Ponorogo. 14. MEMRI TV – Australian Cleric: Women Shouldn’t Put Themselves Out If They Don’t Want Privacy Invaded Sexually

Australian cleric Nassim Abdi delivered two lectures in which he spoke about women, modesty, and the sin of fornication. In the first lecture, titled “Modesty… Or A Lack Thereof!” and uploaded to YouTube on April 20, Abdi criticized men who allow their female family members to “beautify themselves.”

Abdi said that Allah created women to be in their homes, and that education, work, and visiting can be done within Islamic guidelines but should not be the norm.

He also criticized Muslim women who “scream and shout like clowns” in public places.

In the second lecture, titled “Fornication: Its Pathways and Branches” and uploaded on August 15, Abdi said that fornication is a natural consequence of the “beautification of women.”

Abdi said that while he does not justify sexual abuse, women who do not want their privacy invaded sexually should not “put [themselves] out there.”

He criticized the West for not caring “about the honor of their women,” and said that the infidels “love the fact” that Muslim youth commit fornication.

Nassim Abdi is a cleric with the Australian Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jammah (ASWJ) Association, and both lectures were uploaded to the ASWJ Auburn Media YouTube channel.

Nassim Abdi drew criticism from Australian media in September 2018 for a sermon in which he said women must not refuse their husbands intimacy.
