  1. Ten conservative Twitter accounts abruptly suspended with no reason given
Jeff Dunetz, The Lid October 3, 2018

[Ed. – As our colleague Jeff Dunetz says, these sites were given no warning and seven of them had never had any issues before. It’s really happening, folks. At least one site, on appealing the suspension, was notified within 4 seconds that it was now permanently banned. I’m familiar with most of the users; they’re not into nuance, perhaps, but certainly none of them has ever advocated violence or attacked anyone. One was an account officially connected with Allen West.]

At approximately 9 pm eastern on October 2, ten conservative twitter accounts owned by ten different entities were suspended by Twitter. When the account owners contacted Twitter to get the details of what they supposedly did wrong and appeal the punishment, no reason was provided. Instead, the “bluebirds of punishment” sent them notices that they were permanently banned.

Eight of the accounts booted by twitter were connected to websites; two were personal accounts…

    • Be sure and read the entire article, the left thinks they have control and can do what they want with the rest of us having no choice but to submit to their tyranny.

The actions of the rich leftists show why they are constantly screaming about the large evil corporations. They scream because they know how they act when they have control and think the rest of us will act the same way.

  2. Trump administration unveils new counterterrorism strategy (CNN, Oct 4, 2018)
    https://us.cnn.com/2018/10/04/politics/counterterrorism-strategy-white-house/index.html

“President Donald Trump has signed off on a new national counterterrorism strategy, articulating his administration’s vision for how the US should confront terrorist threats at home and abroad.

The new strategy document offers a broad strokes blueprint for how the Trump administration will and already has approached the threat of terrorism, from targeting terrorists at their source to beefing up efforts domestically to tackle the threat of homegrown terrorism.

In unveiling the strategy on Thursday, national security adviser John Bolton described the new strategy as a sharp departure from President Barack Obama’s approach to confronting terrorism, emphasizing the Trump administration’s recognition of the threat as one rooted in radical Islamist ideology.

“Radical Islamist terrorist groups still represent the preeminent threat to the United States,” Bolton said. “We recognize that there is a terrorist ideology that we’re confronting. And I think it’s long been the President’s view that without recognizing that we’re in an ideological struggle, that we can’t properly address the terrorist threat.”

The strategy document does not direct resources or call for additional financing, rather laying out the Trump administration’s broad counterterrorism framework. Bolton said the strategy involves “isolating” terrorist groups from their networks of financial support, bolstering US allies’ counterterrorism capabilities and improving US infrastructure and preparedness, among other points.

The counterterrorism strategy document is the first of its kind since Obama unveiled his counterterrorism strategy in 2011 and Bolton stressed the difference in the Trump administration’s approach…”

    • ‘Radical Islamist’ groups are top foreign terrorist threat to U.S.: Bolton (reuters, Oct 4, 2018)
      https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-counterterrorism-bolton/radical-islamist-groups-are-top-foreign-terrorist-threat-to-u-s-bolton-idUSKCN1ME2HB

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Radical Islamist terrorist groups are the top cross-border threat to the United States and its interests abroad, White House national security adviser John Bolton said on Thursday as he presented a U.S. counterterrorism strategy that also focuses on Iran.

“Radical Islamist terrorist groups represent the pre-eminent transnational terrorist threat to the United States and to the United States’ interests abroad,” Bolton told reporters, saying the United States also faced threats from Iran, which he called “the world’s central banker of international terrorism since 1979.”

Bolton, an advocate of President Donald Trump’s decision to abandon the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and of imposing maximum pressure on Tehran, said the administration’s aim is to force all importers of Iranian crude to cut their purchases to zero.

The United States plans to impose new sanctions targeting Iran’s oil sector on Nov. 4 with the aim of stopping Tehran’s involvement in conflicts in Syria and Iraq and bringing the Islamic Republic to the negotiating table for its ballistic missile program.

“It’s our objective that there be no waivers from the sanctions that exports of Iranian oil and gas and condensates drops to zero. I’m not saying we’re necessarily going to achieve that but no one should be operating under any illusions what the objective is,” Bolton said.

“You can look at the possibility of reductions leading to zero, it doesn’t have to happen immediately perhaps.”

Bolton is a hawk on Iran and believes the reimposition of sanctions is already heaping pressure on Iran’s leaders.

In describing armed Islamist militants on Thursday, Bolton also used the term “radical Islamic,” contradicting a stance taken by former President Barack Obama who argued that using that language would conflate the world’s peaceful Muslims with terrorists.”

  3. Is Criticizing Terrorism “Mental Illness”?

On December 16, 2015, a French journalist on a mainstream radio station compared France’s right-wing National Front Party to the Islamic State (ISIS) by saying that there is a “community of spirit” between them and that both push those who support them to “withdraw into their own identity”. Marine Le Pen, the president of the National Front party, speaking of a “unacceptable verbal slippage,” asked the radio station for the right to answer. She then published on Twitter images showing the bodies of victims of the Islamic State and adding: “ISIS is this!”

The French media immediately accused her of broadcasting “indecent” and “obscene” images, and shortly after that, the French government ordered the Department of Justice to indict her. On November 8, 2017 the French national assembly also lifted her parliamentary immunity.

A few months later, a judge mandated by the French government, charged Marine Le Pen with “disseminating violent images,” citing article 227-24 of the French Penal Code, which defines the crime of:

  4. Tommy Robinson Supporter Gets Kicked Out Of Class

A student claims she was given a final warning by her college teacher and kicked out of class – for saying Tommy Robinson was her favourite person.

Alissa Cook-Gray, 17, was attending the first day of her art and employability course at Total People college in Crewe, Cheshire, on Monday [October 1], when she claims just an hour into the lesson she was pulled aside by her tutor and given a final warning for her right wing views.

The class were asked to discuss some of their favourite people and after one person mentioned Jeremy Corbyn, Alissa claims she expressed to the group she identified more with Tommy’s ideologies.

After allegedly being hauled from the lesson and given a final warning, the last step before expulsion, the youngster claims she felt so excluded by the college she has now removed herself from the course, fearing further discrimination over her political views.

  5. Professor Defends Due Process for the Accused. Students Want Him Fired

In the Believe All Women era, there’s just no place for the bigotry of due process…at least when that process would be used to exonerate a white male.

That’s apparently the message being sent by more than 100 University of Southern California students. They are rallying to have Professor James Moore fired after he had the unmitigated gall to defend the constitutional right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Because, you know, that’s just not how the left wants things to work anymore. Well, unless the accused is a black liberal. Then the rules change again, because oppression.

    We digress.

Moore got himself in hot water when he noticed an email that was sent out to all staff and students at the university last Thursday. The email, which instructed students to “Believe Survivors” of sexual assault, inspired Moore to give those students a lesson in the criminal justice system.

  6. Democrats Already Talking Impeachment for Brett Kavanaugh

    by Andrew

As of Friday morning, it seemed all but certain that Democrats were set to lose the confirmation fight against Brett Kavanaugh; despite a masterfully-orchestrated smear campaign and some credible, sympathetic testimony from Dr. Christine Ford, the balance of evidence just wasn’t enough to sway Republicans off the mark. With the decision headed for a vote on Saturday, it seems that the principle of “innocent until proven guilty” is still alive in America, even if we cannot seriously say it is well.

  7. Richard: Here is a Geller Report article about the increasing violence between the Islamic Invaders and the French police. They are using military/guerrilla tactics against the police, fire department and ambulances, they haven’t started using firearms and bombs but given the way things are advancing in Europe it can’t be long before the invaders take their gloves off and the weapons come out.

French ‘Youths’ Set Traps for Police in Guerrilla-Like Clashes

Small groups of young people in the French city of Mulhouse clashed with local police over the weekend, allegedly using guerrilla-style tactics against the officers including laying traps and attacking them.

The clashes occurred over the period of several hours and saw the local youths set garbage bins on fire and destroy a car in the neighbourhood of Drouot, newspaper L’Alsace reports.

The violence began in the area at around 8:30 pm according to local residents who called the police to help calm the situation. When officers arrived on the scene at Rue de la Navigation, they were met with violence as small groups attacked them with weapons including stones and iron bars.

The besieged officers caught in the ambush managed to call for reinforcements from Mulhouse and from neighbouring Colmar and Saint-Louis which lies on the Swiss border. The police also requested additional Gendarmes helicopter air support.

Migrant-friendly Italian mayor arrested for allegedly arranging ‘marriages of convenience’

MIGRANT-FRIENDLY Italian mayor Domenico Lucano was arrested today for alleged involvement in organising “marriages of convenience” for immigration purposes.

Mr Lucano, who is known for welcoming migrants to the southern Italian town of Riace, was placed under house arrest. He is also accused of awarding a rubbish collection contract without going through the correct process.

The charges coincide with far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini introducing tough anti-immigration measures, including the establishment of detention centres across the country, as promised during last winter’s election campaign.

His decision to close Italian ports to migrant ships has caused international outrage and sparked a clash in June between Italy’s government and Spanish authorities over the fate of 629 people on humanitarian rescue boat the Aquarius.

Mr Lucano instigated a programme which enabled migrants to settle in his village, giving them abandoned homes and employment with training in a bid to boost the economy.

The scheme was hailed as a model of integration and hundreds of migrants benefited from it. Mr Lucano was named one of the world’s 50 greatest leaders by Fortune magazine in 2016.

Police claimed to have tapped the mayor’s phone and to have heard him suggesting marriage as a solution to a woman’s immigration problems.

  9. Republican Senators Hit With Death Threats Amidst Kavanaugh Fight

Republican senators are reporting a sharp uptick in threats of violence in the wake of a prolonged battle over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) and other members of the GOP’s Senate coalition reportedly met behind closed doors Tuesday to discuss how to handle threats to their families, staffs, and offices.

“There’s a lot of unprecedented activity taking place,” Corker told senators at the meeting.

“We’ve been through this in the past, but this is the worst it’s been since I’ve been here,” he continued. “I think we need to recognize that it’s not going to go away with the final determination of whether he’s is going to be on the Supreme Court. There’s something underlying there that we’re experiencing throughout the country right now that we’ve got to figure out a way to address.”

Middle School Students Forced to Play ‘Deportation Time’ Game–Blow Up a Border Wall, Escaping ICE Agents

A parent of a middle school-aged child in California was outraged when her son came home talking about a game sponsored by a teacher where kids play acted like illegal aliens who had to escape ICE agents and blow up a section of border wall to illegally enter the U.S.A.

The parent alerted the media after her child told of the “Deportation Time” game played in a classroom in Cesar Chavez Middle School in Escondido, California, according to KGTV.

“I literally screamed a lot of expletive words and felt like I wanted to throw up,” the parent told the media. “It was so disheartening.”

The package also includes $600 million in credit guarantees by the three Gulf countries that will help Jordan secure cheap World Bank credit and other financing for much needed infrastructure projects. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-meets-saudi-arabias-religious-police-227821434

“For the first time, a United States delegation met with Saudi Arabia’s religious police, the US said on Thursday.

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom met with Saudi’s Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, commonly known as the religious police, about the decision to allow women to drive and open some public spaces to women.

“I am encouraged by the opening that is being seen in the capital of Riyadh. I saw women driving, some guardianship rules being rolled back, and women and men increasingly mixing in public venues, including at a Cirque du Soleil concert in Riyadh.” said commissioner Nadine Maenza.

“The question we continue to assess is whether this opening is extending to other parts of the country and the degree to which these reforms are impacting freedom of religion or belief in a country that still – for instance – officially bans public worship unless it is the state-sanctioned practice of Islam,” Maenza added…”

  15. UK’s MI5 in court for covert policy allowing agents to commit serious crimes (mee, Oct 4, 2018)
    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-mi5-counter-terrorism-criminality-1551742704

“Britain’s domestic security service MI5 has been operating under a secret policy that allows its agents to commit serious crimes during counter-terrorism operations in the UK, a court in London has heard.

The limits on that policy remain secret, with the result that it is unclear whether agents have sheltered under it while committing murder or acts of torture, the court was told.

The policy began to be scrutinised by a senior judge in 2012, but that oversight was also kept secret and David Cameron, then the British prime minister, instructed the judge that he was to examine only the operation of the policy, and offer no opinion on whether or not it was lawful.

The existence of the secret policy, referred to in court as the “third direction”, emerged by chance earlier this year during litigation that challenged the British government’s domestic surveillance powers.

It allows MI5 officers to permit their agents – people from outside the agency whom they have recruited – to commit crimes in order to secure or maintain access to information that could be used to prevent other offences from being committed.

The order was first issued in 2014 and consists of just three sentences. It was renewed in 2017 and signed off by Theresa May, the current prime minister.

That policy is itself now being challenged, in a case that opened on Thursday at the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, a court that provides legal oversight of MI5, its overseas intelligence counterpart MI6, and the UK’s signals intelligence agency GCHQ.

The challenge is being brought by two London-based NGOs, Reprieve and Privacy International, and two in Northern Ireland, the Pat Finucane Centre and the Committee on the Administration of Justice. They argue that the policy is unlawful…”

  19. Turkish President Erdo?an urges women, children to go to mosques (hurriyetdailynews, Oct 4, 2018)
    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/erdogan-urges-women-children-to-go-to-mosques-137542

“President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an urged the staff of Turkey’s top religious body, the Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) on Oct. 4, to encourage women and children to become accustomed to going to mosques.

Erdo?an said there was a “taboo” against women and men praying together in mosques.

“There are mentalities that show this as Islam. But we need to get rid of these. These wrong taboos need to be destroyed now. And this needs to be done by the president of Diyanet. If the deputy president of Diyanet is currently a woman, that is a sign such taboos are being destroyed,” he said.

The president made the comments while addressing clerics at the Presidential Complex at a meeting marking “Mosques and Religious Officials Week.”

“It is my personal duty to encourage open discussion of all questions related to religion and mosques in this country,” Erdo?an said.

“Is there a verse or hadith [in the Quran] that bars women from going to mosques?” he said.

“I have never heard of it or have read of such a thing. My tutors have never taught me anything like that. These false beliefs must be dispelled,” said the president.

Erdo?an noted the first week of October has been celebrated as “Mosques and Religious Officials Week” since 1986.

“We gladly follow these events, aimed at boosting our children and women’s interest in our mosques,” he said.

“A society cannot maintain its existence if its ties to its civilizational values have been weakened just as is the case of a tree whose roots have been severed. Religion, wisdom, morality and justice are load-bearing pillars that support us as a nation,” Erdo?an said.

The president pointed out that turning mosques merely into houses of prayer would be the one of the worst things that could be done.

“In my eyes, a mosque is empty without our children’s joy, our youth’s excitement, our elderly’s experience, our women’s grace and dexterity. If we are to build the future, we should encourage a mosque-centered life,” he said.

“Youth have refrained themselves [from going to] mosques as time passes by. If youth are looking for a solution to their [lives] slipping away in places other than mosques, there is something wrong. Many of us allocate much more time to TV or mobile phones than their partners or parents. And our religious lives are also becoming affected by this process,” Erdo?an said.

“The language of sermons and khutbas should be updated, renewed and refined for youth to understand. Also, our religious officials should avoid otherizing and alienating expressions in all forms and kinds,” the president said.

Erdo?an also said false beliefs about Islam have been used by certain terrorist groups to exploit people’s faith and Diyanet needed to step in to dispel such beliefs.

“The reason why groups such as FETÖ and Daesh [another acronym for ISIL] could gain a foothold in a society is because there are spiritual gaps, which our institutions fail to fill,” he added.”
