Lindsay Graham delivers warning of direction of US politics

This is a great example of how a person can be right and wrong at the same time.

If we, the right, start to use the same tactics as they do, then they win as their plan is to destroy our system altogether. If we lose all sense of fairness and an attempt to find the best people for their important jobs and become simply a kind of football hooligan, doing violence on behalf of our team, it’s all over.

At the same time, if these tactics succeed by the left, and conservatives continue to play fair, it appears that conservatives will lose forever.

But if they start playing dirty, they are no longer conservatives.

I wonder what Abe Lincoln would suggest under these circumstances?

    You identify the quandary decent people are faced when dealing with the Democratic party activists that seem to have lost all decency. If the decent remain handcuffed by decency, and if the left wons, they will do anything, and we all lose.

    Consider what you would have done to stop leftists Mao or Stalin of you had known the evil they would perpetrate – of such magnitude that it makes the Nazis blush

    I would rationalize, that sometimes one has to fight fire with even greater fire, till the fire is extinguished.

  2. Lincoln was the cornerstone of this whole mess: a strong central government instead of a republic.

    • Don’t you mean two republics? One slave owning and one not.
      A strong central government, the ideal of the left/democrats, only came about under Lincoln after the rebs opened fire and stared the civil war and it came about by the mass organization necessary to win that war. He certainly had NO intention of maintaining such tight control post-war but we all know why he failed.

    I repost this originally posted by Coram Deo. If true, it means that the NSA and deep state actors have everyone except the most virtuous and courageous in a potential blackmail grip. It means the leader of the western world, and freedom, may be Kennedy’d if he does not acquiesce to their wishes. Which would then leave the rest of us who are not of the left to ponder our lot. Which means civil war is almost certain.

    • No your logic isn’t flawed, I spent most of the day waiting to talk to some people at the VA (not a health problem) others were waiting and we started talking, when I told them about the commies openly talking rebellion and assissnation the most common statement was.”Don’t they realize the hell they will break loose if they start killing politicians who disagree with them?” My answer was no they don’t, they think that because we didn’t riot under Obama we will step back to avoid trouble.

      Civil war is the most probable future of all Western Nations, a long nasty bloody asymmetric civil war that will destroy what is left of Western Civilization, and possible most of the remaining rule of law. The thing is we can rebuild the Republics and Civilizations and the rule of law if enough of us continue to believe in freedom. We must keep the idea of freedom and rule of law alive even when the rule of law isn’t evenly applied.

      Crunch time is approaching and the civilized people are going to have to learn to act like the Barbarians, we will have to do this to survive and we will have to remember how to act civilizaed if the coming Dark Age isn’t a very long and dark Dark Age.

  4. That is the dilemma. Play fair and lose or….It’s the same situation in the UK w.r.t Islam. The only way the UK can be saved now is by some sort of forced repatriation of millions of Muslims, which would contravene every notion of fairness most native Brits possess…however if they do not do this , they lose their country. I think I understand what Graham is getting at and he is right.

    • I thought that was a good article but I take issue with part of it. That is that the foot soldiers aren’t paid. Some are most certainly are paid. I have seen ads and emails to that effect. In the case of the disruptors at the Kavenaugh hearing they were not only paid but bailed if they were arrested.

      • Yes a lot of their foot soldiers were paid, this fact isn’t going to help us or hurt them, we are entering a time period when everyone who wants to survive is going to have to look around inside their heads and find the big switch that says Survive. You then throw that switch and let you instincts guide you on how to keep from being murdered by the Barbarians that the Far Left have let into the city.

    Wednesday at the Atlantic Festival in Washington D.C., Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) commented on President Donald Trump mocking the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court associate justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh last night during a rally in Mississippi.

    Graham said, “President Trump went through a factual rendition something I don’t particularly like. I would tell him knock it off. It can be worse. You can kill somebody’s cat and puncture out their tires to get them to shut up.”

    When the interviewer didn’t understand his comments, Graham said, “You don’t remember Kathleen Willey or Juanita Broaddrick. I do.”

    Graham said, “The point is we have come a long way. Wait a minute, whether you like it or not I really don’t care. I have seen what happened to these women in 1998 that came forward. I don’t like what the president said last night. I’m the first person to say, I want to hear from Dr. Ford. I thought she was handled respectfully. I thought Kavanaugh was treated like crap.”

    As the audience booed, Graham said, “Well, boo yourself.”

    You cannot turn the other cheek to fanatics. You must mark a line and when they cross it you must crush them. That has SFA to do with Right or Left but everything to do with survival. If you wish to keep Judaeo-Christian morality you must fight to do so and war has a habit of shifting the barriers of morality, if temporarily, for democracies.

    • People talk about Abe Lincoln being so peaceful, what they don’t look at is that he was an Officer in the Militia during the Black Hawk War, was President during the bloodiest war the US has fought (to date the coming civil war may be bloodier) and would personally test new model Rifles and Pistols to ensure they were safe for the troops. Lincoln looked long and hard to find Generals who would fight and when the found Grant and Sherman he turned them loose.

      What would Lincoln suggest, he would save the Republic, no matter how long or bloody the war he would save the Republic.

      Potus-16 gets it just right.
      The Principles of the Declaration are crystal clear. The actualization took – is still taking – time.

      Now there’s a problem I can’t resolve in my mind, an inconsistency:
      If there’s no Creator, what makes the Rights we enjoy sacrosanct [“inalienable”]?

      By what authority do we claim freedom of association or the right to bear arms? ALL our cherished “Rights” are up for grabs.

      And grabbing them is the Agenda of the Adversary.

      The Adversary has an exceptionally enthusiastic and vocal constituency these days. Any contest between our side and his will NOT be resolved in the collegial manner to which we’ve grown accustomed.

      Shake hands with the Devil, for all the good THAT will do.

          More often than not, trying to apologize for the mess we’ve made. But all the guys Our Founding Fathers are impressed we’ve gotten this far.

    Instead, he preferred to pretend his enemies were his friends, creating a fictional national unity against foreign attackers.

    The Democrats, bearing the patriot label Bush himself sticked on their foreheads, and armed with the prestige thus acquired, could stab in the back their own country, Army and president while people would not question for one second their deep-hearted good intentions.

    Running away from the confrontation his enemies – who were the enemies of the US – sought so much, Bush gave them strength. All the bravery he showed in leading the war, turned into cowardice in the internal fight. The result: his success is condemned as failure and his real failure cannot be confessed in public without triggering a thousandfold worse internal division. And although Bush wants to avoid this division, his adversaries assume it more and more, taking from it, against the US, the same advantages Bush should have taken for the US.
    George W. Bush took the wrong job. He is a great military commander, but he is not at all a politician.

    [Yucki] I’m less enthusiastic about Seth Frantzman than I was. He’s very, very solid, but doesn’t share my view of the world as consistently as his great mentor, Jonathan Spyer. Partly the difference is age, partly experience. Their biographies are amazing.

    • You make compromises to win and they are often unpleasant and seem unnecessary(cash cow India’s independence at a time when the UK was almost broke) but are vital to success in the long term. Lincoln’s decision as you state has been taken out of its time context. The North struggled badly in the first two years of the civil war until the attrition strategy set in.

  11. The question is not: “What would Abe Lincoln do?” Rather the question is: “What would Constantine do?”

    It’s perfectly acceptable to aggressively pursue victory against your enemies when they are liberals and satanists (but I repeat myself). The key is not for traditionalists to avoid breaking rules that the left does not adhere to… the key is for traditionalists to remember tradition and give glory to God. THAT is how we set ourselves apart from the left.

  12. You don’t necessarily have to use the same tactics the commies do but you can’t make the mistake that this isn’t war. Total war. Make no mistake, if they win you will either be murdered outright or you and your loved ones will die in a concentration camp. That is *not* hyperbole.

    Always remember that the only thing that matters in a street fight is who is still standing at the end. Is it better to die as a gentleman or gouge their eyes out, break their kneecaps, stove their head in with a pipe, and then scream with raised arms in righteous indignation over *their* corpse?

    One of the things that I hate about commies the most is that they make me start thinking like they do – out of necessity. Commies, like jihadis, are cult members who will never stop until they are utterly defeated. If folks opposed to the commie cult don’t have an an even greater fervor and determination to destroy their opponents, they will lose. People with a jihadi-like faith in their cause intent on imposing it on you are a difficult enemy to deal with. Whatever wrath it takes, no matter how brutal, they bring it down upon themselves, it is their own doing, and they deserve what they asked for.

    Also remember that one of Alinsky’s tenets was to make up rules that only your opponent would abide by and then hold them to it. Big mistake to fall into that trap. Think of the Rohingya. An alien, unassimilable, violent cancer who only understands one thing: overwhelming force. Does anybody besides the BBC actually believe that that Muslim cancer wouldn’t do the same thing the Burmese just did to them given the opportunity? No. The Burmese just told Islam to “get out and don’t come back” – and stripped of all of those Alinsky rules that only the BBC would abide by, they excised their century old Muslim infection. Now they’ll live happily ever after alongside the Christian and other minorities who were never a problem.

    The same determination is what is required when dealing with commie cult members. However you do it, it must be even more ruthless, more determined, and more unremitting than commies are until there is nothing left of their evil.

    If Americans really understood the menace they face, Soros and his entire family would have already gone for a Pinochet Helicopter Tour, along with his NGO minions, every last dime he ever had or distributed would have been seized, every state university would be shut down for an audit to be permanently cleansed of the commie tapeworms and termites posing as professors, the CPC & CBC would be on trial for sedition, and Her Thighness, Pelosi, Schumer, and Reid would already be in a supermax, never to be seen again. It’s that serious.
