Rowan Atkinson on Freedom of Speech from 2012

At least one well known and successful celebrity in the Western World was ready to come to the defence of the very freedoms that gave him the shot at that very success.

Although this was 2012, and although yes, this website made a very big deal about it at the time, Xanthippa’s reminder of it is timely and it is well worth another view. For those who haven’t yet seen it, it is compulsory.

  2. Quoting Obama on the value of free speech? Really?! Is Atkinson aware of what a champion of suppression of free speech he is? Apparently so.

Oh, Rowan. So right, and yet so wrong. Seeing so clearly through your microscope, but blind when seeing what’s under your nose.
