  1. STUDY: Researchers falsely frame Trump supporters as racists

A new study finds that much of the research conducted on President Trump’s voters is marred by prejudicial designs, distorted data, and outright misrepresentation of Trump’s words.

Led by Musa al-Gharbi, a Columbia University sociologist, “On Social Research in the Age of Trump” analyzes three case studies of academic research on Trump to illustrate the various ways that academics have misrepresented the president and his voter base to the public.

One example of this phenomena can be seen in the April 2017 Washington Post article “Racism motivated Trump voters more than authoritarianism,” by Thomas Wood, who teaches political science classes at Ohio State University.

While Wood cites survey data to claim that Trump voters were especially motivated by racism, a closer analysis by al-Gharbi reveals that Wood’s arguments about Trump voters can’t be substantiated from the data cited in the article.

“According to Wood’s own data, whites who voted for Trump are perhaps less racist than those who voted for Romney,” al-Gharbi explains, adding that “not only were they less authoritarian than Romney voters, but less racist too!”

“Unfortunately, Wood declined to consider how Trump voters differed from Romney voters…instead focusing on the gap between Democrats and Republicans in 2016, in the service of a conclusion his data do not support,” he adds.

A pair of Internet sleuths have uncovered information from the 2014 investigation of Paul Manafort that reportedly went nowhere because Manafort was tied to former President Obama’s Chief Counsel, Greg Craig, and State Department envoy, Cliff Sloan.

Techno Fog noted that the 2014 investigation of Paul Manafort went nowhere because it implicated Obama’s former White House Counsel Greg Craig –

  4. WOW: Don Jr Compared The Democrats To 1930’s Germany, And The Left Is Triggered As Hell

Donald Trump Jr. has somehow managed to make Democrats hate him even more than they already did with some provocative food for thought that there many similarities between the DNC and a certain regime that rose to power in 1930s Germany.

The greatest trick that the devil ever played was making people believe that he didn’t exist. Even greater is the scam that has been perpetrated by the modern political left and in particular, the Democratic party and the DNC under the extremist glimmer twins Tom Perez and Keith Ellison.

Ever since President Trump’s election, the Dems, the media and their shock troops of the Resistance have shamelessly invoked the Nazi card against their political enemies.

But it is the Democrats themselves who have far more in common with Hitler’s regime, especially the early years when the Sturmabteilung (brownshirts) routinely disrupted their political opponents, intimidated and beat those who did not support the Nazis and most importantly, became experts in the big lie.

  5. Deutsche Welle – Sparing refugees the perilous crossing to Europe

The EU has been flying refugees deemed especially vulnerable from Libyan detention camps to UN-run shelters in Niger, where they receive care and counseling before being resettled in the EU.

  6. Deutsche Welle – Swedish activist who stopped deportation of asylum-seeker talks to DW

Swedish activist Elin Ersson made headlines when she staged a one-woman protest aboard a plane about to take off from Gothenburg. By refusing to take her seat, she stopped the deportation of an asylum-seeker to Afghanistan. DW caught up with the young her at home.

  7. Deutsche Welle – Europe’s Flashpoints (1/2)

These are testing times for the EU: Brexit, the search for a common approach to migration, and dwindling faith in its old transatlantic partner, the US.

Italy is the latest addition to the mix, as the new government in Rome seeks to lay down a hard line over refugees and migrants. Our two-part documentary examines this precarious political situation in the EU.

Italy is on the front line of the migration crisis but other EU members states with a much lower proportion of ethnic minorities, such as Poland, Hungary or the Czech Republic, have been leading ‘by example’ – emphasizing national priorities over the common cause.

Some of the larger and longer-standing member states such as Germany and France have been trying to put the brakes on this development, with Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Emmanuel Macron calling for a united front.

However, internal disputes over immigration and refugee policy have turned this issue into a tightrope for the German leader in particular.

Meanwhile, beyond the EU’s external borders, the strongmen seem to be getting stronger. The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, made clear his contempt for Western sanctions by opening a bridge to the annexed region of Crimea.

His Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has been slowly cementing his authoritarian power since a failed coup d’état; while in Syria, the EU’s role amounts to no more than that of an observer looking on as other powers take the initiative.

Meanwhile, the EU lacks the agility to capitalize on the space vacated by Donald Trump’s disengagement from the international agreement on Teheran’s nuclear program.

If seriously attractive Caucasian women—not in a superficial, pneumatic or cosmetic sense—wish to draw healthy males to them, they’ll need to exhibit a lot more (uncommon) “Common Sense”—as portrayed in the clip.

Yes, making babies is moderately hellish. Yust like doing a lifetime of 9-to-5 is unremitting, everliving hell.

It’s what we women and men do and, successfully accomplished, keeps the Caucasian Race alive. Other ethnicities may please apply at the next window (as in: I’m sick and tired of being crowded out of my own civic services by a bunch of salwar kameezse-clad, serape-swathed, sari-draped, carpet-farking-baggers).

Yup, I’m a hydroelectrically dammed bigot and just try to tell me that it’s not my Constitutional Right. I’m so fed up with seeing this country’s military veterans, widows, and survivors having to stand in line behind a bunch of ‘anchor babies’ and Economic Tourists™ to where I’ll be triple-damned-in-hell about tolerating this endless crap.

As I mentioned elsewhere at this site, just the other day, I gently praised a WWII veteran for having, Fought Hard, and Won Hard©. We should be so fortunate to have even a slight fraction of such hearty breeds defending our modern borders right now.

PS: This is where the Opioid Divide© will take its “stealth” toll upon an already vulnerable North American population. I realize that this might sound like some strange retroflection, nevertheless, the same Digital Divide® that implacably awaits Islam is hanging fire for the yuge percentage of American citizens which think that sitting around playing video games and harfing Vicoden™ is some sort of “self-improvement” class.

  13. CBC – Chrystia Freeland says plight of stranded White Helmets keeps her ‘awake at night’

[…]Some White Helmets still on the ground have taken to social media and others have given interviews describing how the exodus of hundreds of their companions on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights has sharpened the desire of Assad’s troops to kill them.

“It is keeping me awake at night. It’s dreadful,” Freeland said, prior to departing Toronto for an official visit to Mexico. “I don’t want to give false hope to anyone, but I do want to assure people that we continue to feel a strong moral responsibility to the White Helmets who are still in Syria. We are in close communication with the White Helmets themselves.”

[…]Freeland said Canada and its allies had been prepared for up to 1,200 people to cross over and make their way to Jordan.

[…]Canada plans to accept up to 250 of the displaced Syrians

[…]”Security will be rigorous, as rigorous as any other resettled refugees,” Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen said.

[…]”Our goal is not to dislocate people — or to be like refugees in the country,” said Muzna Dureid, who acts as a liaison for the group in Canada. “Our goal is to help people in Syria.”

  15. Protesters Attack Religious School in Iran as it Braces for US Sanctions (aawsat, Aug 4, 2018)
    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1352986/protesters-attack-religious-school-iran-it-braces-us-sanctions

“Protesters attacked on Saturday a religious school in Iran’s Karaj province as tensions mount ahead of the United States’ re-imposition of sanctions.

Iranian authorities have barely mentioned days of protests in the major cities of Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad and Tehran, driven by concerns over water, the economy and wider anger at the political system.

During past unrest, conservative outlets have focused on attacks against sensitive symbols such as religious buildings as a way of tarnishing protesters.

“At 9:00 pm (1630 GMT on Friday) they attacked the school and tried to break the doors down and burn things,” the conservative Fars news agency quoted the head of the school in the town of Ishtehad, Hojatoleslam Hindiani, as saying, giving only his clerical rank and no first name.

“They were about 500 people and they chanted against the system but they were dispersed by the riot police and some have been arrested,” Hindiani said.

Fars acknowledged protests have taken place in “five or six cities” since Tuesday over water shortages, rising prices and joblessness, with “about 1,000 or 2,000 people” taking part.

But it said these peaceful protests were taken over by people “who come into the crowd with political slogans such as ‘Death to the dictator'”…”

  17. Video of the drone assassination attempt on the President of Venezuela:

    • DAILY MAIL – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro survives an assassination attempt by terrorists using an explosives-laden drone as he addresses the nation on TV – then blames Colombia and ‘financiers’ in the US

Footage shows Maduro abruptly cutting short his speech before looking to sky
Thousands of soldiers then scatter as people scream and loud bangs are heard
Information Minister Jorge Rodriguez said several drone devices had detonated
He added that Maduro is safe and unharmed but that seven people were injured

Venezuelan state television images showed Maduro looking up disconcertedly in the middle of a speech Saturday when a bang was heard, then uniformed members of the country’s National Guard lined up in the parade suddenly breaking ranks and scattering.

A video shows Ms Flores wince and look up after a sound. The soldiers lined up in ranks then begin running. The transmission was cut without explanation.

Images being shared on social media showed officers surrounding Maduro with what appeared to be a black bullet-proof barrier as they escorted him from the site.
