  1. Turkish Party Demands Erdogan ‘Seize Trump Towers Istanbul’ After Sanctions (sputniknews, Aug 2, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/world/201808021066904169-Turkish-Political-Party-Demands-Erdogan-Seize-Trump-Towers-Istanbul/

“One Turkish political party has come up with an idea for how Ankara can respond to US sanctions on its officials.

The Turkish ?Y? (Good) Party has suggested Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compel the forfeiture of assets owned by US President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet that exist within Turkey’s borders following sanctions that target two top officials in the Turkish administration.

“The Justice and Development Party [AKP] government should seize Trump Towers,” Good Party spokesperson and general secretary Ayten Ç?ray said in a statement published by Hürriyet Daily News August 2. Turkey’s Trump Towers complex, in Istanbul’s vibrant Mecidiyekoy area, features a 400,000-square-foot mall in addition to two 40-story towers.

One of the buildings houses residential apartments; the other is an office building…”

    • These guys just tipped their minor-league hand with this. Imagine Turkish assets in the U.S. being seized? That alone would get Erdogan knocked off by his own people.

  2. Italian Deputy PM Banned from Spain’s Mallorca for His Stance on Migration (sputniknews, Aug 2, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201808021066900662-salvini-non-grata-spain/

“The authors of the motion, declaring Matteo Salvini persona non-grata, derided his statements and policies as “terrible and outrageous.” Earlier this year the leader of the right-wing Lega party was appointed Italy’s interior minister, evoking criticism across the EU after blocking rescue ships with migrants from the country’s ports.

The Mallorca Council has approved the motion, declaring Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, persona non-grata on the Spanish holiday island for his statements and policies on migration, as the newspaper Diario de Mallorca reports.

The declaration was proposed by the left-wing party Podemos, which is a local branch of the Socialist party (PSIB), and the Més Per Mallorca coalition.

The approved text also condemns “the lack of compliance guarantees with the defense of human rights suggested by the European migration policies.” The motion also specifically laments Salvini’s proposal to subject Romany people to a census.

According to the Podemos’ spokeswoman Aurora Ribot, cited by the newspaper Diario de Mallorca, the motion sought to “recognize the immense humanitarian work of NGOs such as Proactiva Open Arms, Lifeline, Proemaid and SMH, for rescuing tens of thousands of people from certain death in the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.” Their activities have been repeatedly called into question by the Italian official, who has slammed the NGOs for being accomplices in human trafficking and banned their ships from the country’s ports.

The party which authored the motion, has criticized Salvini’s “terrible and outrageous statements and policies,” “distilling a very serious and worrisome xenophobia and an obvious disregard for human life and dignity,” as quoted by the newspaper Diario de Mallorca.

A similar motion, declaring US President Donald Trump persona non-grata for his migration policy of separation children from their parents at the Mexican border, has also been proposed to the council, but the draft didn’t even make it to the plenary agenda.

Migrant sea rescue charities have been at loggerheads with the new Italian government and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, who has sought to dramatically cut the number of migrants arriving on Italy’s shores since he took his post this year…”

  3. South Africa Amending Constitution: White Farmers’ Lands To Be Seized And Given To Blacks

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Tuesday that the African National Congress will move forward in amending their constitution to permit the seizure of white farmers’ lands without compensation. The stolen land will be “redistributed” to poor blacks in the name of righting the inequities of apartheid some 25 years ago.

Earlier in 2018, as reported by News.com, South Africa’s parliament voted in favor of a motion brought forward by radical Marxist Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) seeking to begin the process of taking white-owned farmland without compensation. “We are taking the future into our own hands,” said EFF leader Julius Malema. “Shoot to kill! Shoot to kill! Pow, pow!”

As the world begins to understand what happened in the ‘Arab Spring’ that began in December 2010—and its ramifications today—the place where it was sparked is both a map and compass. Where did the movement come from and where is it going?

Of all the countries that took part in the Arab Spring, Tunisia is the one that most deserves the appellation ‘free.’

But it is not quite there yet. This North African nation still has a long way to go. Its entrenched cultural and religious taboos are making the transition to true freedom a complicated process.

One indication of the challenges faced by the inheritors of Arab Spring is a recent report by the Individual Freedoms and Equality Committee, known by the acronym COLIBE.

Established in August 2017 by Tunisian President Béji Caïd Essebsi, the purpose of COLIBE is “the preparation of a reform project in accordance with the requirements of the Tunisian Constitution of 2014 and international human rights standards”.

    • “128 bullet proof and viable Westers ” — please read “128 bullet proof and viable vests”.
      tks

      • Calling them bullet proof is probably a mistake, they are probably Class II protective vests. Class II are rated to stop .44 Magnum ammo but carbine and rifle rounds will penetrate. Class III are carbine rated but you have to step up to military vests to get ones that will stop most rifle rounds.

  7. Brighton: Police Hunt ‘Asian’ Man After Park Rape in UK ‘City of Sanctuary’ (breitbart, Aug 2, 2018)

Following the attack, which took place at around 2 am as the woman was walking home through a wooded area of Southwick Green park in Brighton, a police spokesman said the 28-year-old victim has been receiving specialist medical care as well as welfare advice and support.

The park was cordoned off from the public during Wednesday as detectives searched for clues, according to local media, while Sussex Police appealed for witnesses or any information that could lead to the alleged rapist’s identification…”

  8. Terror Toddlers: Inspectors Criticise Pre-School for Failing to Spot Signs of Radicalisation (breitbart, Aug 2, 2018)
    https://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/08/02/inspectors-criticise-pre-school-failing-spot-toddlers-risk-becoming-terrorists/

“Britain’s school inspectorate Ofsted marked down the Little Ducklings pre-school in Hove, south England, for failing to spot if children as young as two are at risk of becoming extremists.

Nursery school staff were told they needed to improve in being able to recognise children at risk of being radicalised by family members or others as part of the British government’s Prevent anti-extremism strategy, reports The Argus.

“Although the manager and staff have reviewed some aspects of their safeguarding knowledge and updated the policies and procedures, not all staff have a secure understanding of how to protect children who may be at risk from extreme behaviours or views,” the report read.

Inspectors said Little Duckings staff must “ensure all staff use the information gained through training to improve their knowledge of the ‘prevent’ duty and wider safeguarding issues” by September or it would fail to meet the requirements to remain on the country’s official childcare register.

One mother, whose four-year-old son attends the nursery, called the grading “bonkers”.

“This is bonkers — absolutely ludicrous,” she said, according to The Mirror.

“Of course it’s important to stop children being radicalised, but come on. Little Ducklings hardly strikes you as a hotbed for international terrorism.”

This is not the first time ‘big government’ inspectors have come down heavy on a school otherwise fulfilling their duties to provide safe and enriching learning environments.

In the past few years, the quango has targetted Jewish and Christian faith schools for not fostering progressivism enough, and for insufficiently teaching about LGBT issues and Islam.

London Assembly Member David Kurten, UKIP education spokesman, remarked that “Ofsted is now part of the red blob which is pushing cultural Marxism”.

Under the British Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, schools and other childcare providers — including nurseries for toddlers — must adhere to the Prevent Strategy, where staff and teachers must be able to identify children who may be vulnerable to radicalisation.

Authorities behind the government’s Prevent Strategy were forced to reorientate from their focus on those at risk of Islamic fundamentalism — the ideological source for the vast majority of acts of terror in the UK — after pressure from far-leftists, progressive educators, and minority activists who said that it “disproportionately targets” Muslims.

Since then, authorities have ramped up referrals of young people at risk of “far right” radicalisation and who hold “extreme right-wing views”, with referrals increasing in predominantly white English communities and targetting youngsters who oppose the wearing of the Islamic headscarves in British society and who support the pro-sovereignty, anti-globalist party UKIP.

However, it would appear that Prevent referrals may be both toothless and meaningless. Iraqi migrant Ahmed Hassan, who came to the UK in the back of a lorry as a child asylum seeker, was set to be given the all-clear by the deradicalisation programme shortly before he planted a bomb on a London tube train at Parsons Green — his teacher said he refused to engage with the programme.”
