“During the leadership of General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev, psychiatry was used to disable and remove from society political opponents (“dissidents”) who openly expressed beliefs that contradicted the official dogma.[4][5] The term “philosophical intoxication”, for instance, was widely applied to the mental disorders diagnosed when people disagreed with the country’s Communist leaders and, by referring to the writings of the Founding Fathers of Marxism–Leninism—Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and Vladimir Lenin—made them the target of criticism”

  5. VICE News – Trump’s Putin Press Conference Just Made Republicans’ Lives Way Harder

The president of Russia and the president of the United States holding a press conference is not unusual. Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama all took questions with their Russians counterparts at some point in their presidencies.

What made President Trump and President Putin’s appearance Monday in Helsinki so unusual was the fact that, when asked about Russian interference in the 2016 election, Trump seemed to side with Putin instead of the conclusions of 17 intelligence agencies, his own director of National Intelligence, the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Justice Department.

And asked if he would denounce what happened in 2016 and warn Putin to never do it again, Trump, well, didn’t. Instead, he responded, “My people came to me, Dan Coats [the Director of National Intelligence] came to me and some others, they said they think it’s Russia. I have President Putin; he just said it’s not Russia. I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be.”

Coats later put out his own statement emphasizing Russia’s involvement.

“We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy, and we will continue to provide unvarnished and objective intelligence in support of our national security,” Coats said.

Republicans back in America were also quick to distance themselves from Trumps remarks.

    • Don’t the idiots in the video realize that they are talking about creating more tension between the US and Russia, they are trying to create a new cold war when we need Putin and Russia to be neutral or better yet an ally against China. I don’t think any of the people on hte video have enough brains to know how to blow their noses without detailed instructions and probably someone verbally coaching them.

      • Someone was yelling at me saying Trump was going to start a war yesterday, today MSM says he’s a traitor, it’s absolute insane reasoning.

  13. Russia ready to send request to US over questionings in Browder case

Browder donated $400,000 to US Democrats, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office says

MOSCOW, July 17./TASS/. The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office is ready to send a request for the questioning of staffers of US intelligence services and public officers within the framework of a criminal case against Hermitage Capital founder William Browder, prosecutors’ spokesman Alexander Kurennoy told a briefing on Tuesday.

“Within the framework of a probe into a criminal case against William Browder and his criminal group, we are ready to send another request to the US competent agencies for a possibility to question these staffers of US special services, some other public officers of the US and a number of entrepreneurs in order to later charge them with the crimes committed by Browder,” Kurennoy said.

Browder has transferred $400,000 to accounts of the US Democratic Party, Kurennoy said.

“Browder’s criminal group funneled $1.5 billion from Russia into tax havens. Of this sum, at least $400 million was transferred to the Democratic Party’s accounts. Afterwards, our president asked us to correct the sum for $400,000 from $400 million,” Kurennoi said.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said after the Russia-US summit in Helsinki that in line with the 1999 agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, US Special Counsel Robert Mueller might be allowed to interview 12 Russians indicted in the United States. On Friday, the US Justice Department issued an indictment of 12 Russian military intelligence officers within the framework of the Mueller-led investigation into alleged foreign interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Moscow would raise the question “that the steps should be reciprocal,” Putin said mentioning the case of Bill Browder.

“Then we will expect from the American side to interview those officials, including special services agents, who we suspect of committing illegal activities in the Russian Federation, in the United States, in presence of our detectives,” he emphasized. “What do I mean? The notorious case of Bill Browder, the founder of the Hermitage Capital Management.”

“According to our investigation, a group of persons, who were Mr. Browder’s business partners, earned illegally more than 1.5 billion dollars in Russia. They did not pay any taxes, neither in Russia nor in the United States, but they managed to transfer the money to the United States,” Putin said.

They funneled a large sum into Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, Russian investigators said.

    Browder Case

On July 13, 2013, Moscow’s Tverskoy District Court found Browder guilty in absentia of large-scale tax evasion estimated at 522 million rubles and sentenced him to nine years in prison. Sergei Magnitsky, Browder’s Russian lawyer, was a suspect in the case and later died in Moscow’s pretrial detention center.

In July 2014, Russia placed Browder on the Interpol’s most wanted list. The Russian Prosecutor General’s office has many times requested Interpol to arrest Browder. The latest news about such a request came in December 2017.

    • Actually he said that business associates of Browder donated the money, but everyone is concentrating on Browder and ignoring the “business associates.
I Personally have no problem seeing Russians giving either amount to Hillary and the Dems but this does need to be looked into to see if it is true. I say it needs to be looked into because I don’t trust either Putin or the Dems, especially the Clinton crime family and the Obama crime families.

    • 1) Russis is run by KGB Thugs. So what else is new? Russia has been run by a group of thugs ince 1917 and it is only now that people are getting upset about this fact!

      2) Russia has interfered in our election. So what else is new? They have been doing this since 1917 just as they have been interfering in other nations elections. And the US has been interfering in other nations elections since at least WWI and probably before that. By picking this time to get upset over the interference the left and the RINOs are making it more difficult for President Trump to maneuver through the many problems that are pushing the World to many small wars that will make WWII look small. While we need to inform Putin that he and his thugs comrades need to back off in their heavy handed actions it is probably better if we do this in the private conversations because we are sprinting towards an armed confrontation with with China and we need Russia to be neutral but leaning our way rather then to be shipping weapons to China during the war.

    • […]the Bolshevik revolution actually was financed by wealthy financiers in London and New York. Lenin and Trotsky were on the closest of terms with these moneyed interests both before and after the Revolution.

[…]One of the greatest myths of contemporary history is that the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia was a popular uprising of the downtrodden masses against the hated ruling class of the Tsars. As we shall see, however, the planning, the leadership and especially the financing came entirely from outside Russia, mostly from financiers in Germany, Britain and the United States.

[…]Jacob Schiff was head of the New York investment firm Kuhn, Loeb and Co. He was one of the principal backers of the Bolshevik revolution and personally financed Trotsky’s trip from New York to Russia.

[…]Sources outside of Russia, which were hostile to the Tsarist regime, paid for the printing of Marxist propaganda and had it delivered to the prison camps. Russian-speaking revolutionaries were trained in New York and sent to distribute the pamphlets

[…]One of the best known Russian revolutionaries at that time was Leon Trotsky. In January of 1916 Trotsky was expelled from France and came to the United States. It has been claimed that his expenses were paid by Jacob Schiff. There is no documentation to substantiate that claim, but the circumstantial evidence does point to a wealthy donor in New York. He remained for several months, while writing for a Russian socialist paper, the Novy Mir (New World) and giving revolutionary speeches at mass meetings in New York City. According to Trotsky himself, on many occasions a chauffeured limousine was placed at his service by a wealthy friend, identified as Dr. M.

[…]In the February 3, 1949 issue of the New York Journal American Schiff’s grandson, John, was quoted by columnist Cholly Knickerbocker as saying that his grandfather had given about $20 million for the triumph of Communism in Russia.

[…]When Trotsky returned to Petrograd in May of 1917 to organize the Bolshevik phase of the Russian Revolution, he carried $10,000 for travel expenses, a generously ample fund considering bthe value of the dollar at that time. Trotsky was arrested by Canadian and British naval personnel, when the ship, on which he was traveling, the S.S. Kristianiafjord, put in at Halifax. The money in his possession is now a matter of official record.

[…]Trotsky could not have gone even as far as Halifax without having been granted an American passport and this was accomplished by the personal intervention of President Wilson. Professor Antony Sutton says:

President Woodrow Wilson was the fairy godmother, who provided Trotsky with a passport to return to Russia to “carry forward” the revolution…

    • The blame for our bad relations with all notions is due to the previous administrations refusing to stick up for the US, they (especially Obama) let everyone nation on earth push us around and take advantage of the US. They gave up so much to the other nations we have nothing left to give and the other nations are use to getting all they want so they are now upset because we don’t have anymore to give.

  14. MoA – Helsinki Talks – How Trump Tries To Rebalance The Global Triangle

The reactions of the U.S. polite to yesterday’s press conference of President Trump and President Putin are highly amusing. The media are losing their mind. Apparently it was Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin and 9/11 all in one day. War will commence tomorrow. But against whom?

[…]The ‘liberal’ side of the U.S. did its best to prevent the summit. The recent Mueller indictment was timed to sabotage the talks.

Behind the panic lie competing views of Grand Strategy.

[…]The U.S. blew its ‘unilateral moment’. Instead of making friends with Russia it drove it into China’s hands. Hegemonic globalization and unilateral wars proved to be too expensive. The U.S. people received no gains from them. That is why they elected Trump.

Trump is doing his best to correct the situation. For the foreseeable future the world will end up with three power centers. Anglo-America, Russia and China. (An aging and disunited Europe will flap in the winds.) These power centers will never wage direct war against each other, but will tussle at the peripheries. Korea, Iran and the Ukraine will be centers of these conflicts. Interests in Central Asia, South America and Africa will also play a role.

Trump understands the big picture. To ‘Make America Great Again’ he needs to tackle China and to prevent a deeper Chinese-Russian alliance. It’s the neo-conservatives and neo-liberals who do not get it. They are still stuck in Brzezinski’s Cold War view of Russia. They still believe that economic globalization, which helped China to regain its historic might, is the one and true path to follow. They do not perceive all the damage they have done to 90% of the American electorate.

For now Trump’s view is winning. But the lunatic reactions to the press conference show that the powers against him are still strong. They will sabotage him wherever possible. The big danger for now is that their view of the world might again raise to power.

  15. Democrats are wading Into serious treason

Is it even possible to imagine the ear-bleeding, deafening squealing of these Liberal oinkers if they were held (even for just a mere few seconds) to their own much vaunted (virtue-signaling) “standards”?

Just this morning, I evolved a new theory that fuses American inter-party accusations of treason with the Islamic notion of Takfirism. It seems as though all US political parties are putting in place nearly impossible-to-pass litmus tests as part of determining an individual’s ideological purity. The ultimate, logical extension of this is one party being vindicated and the other facing due annihilation, much as with Islamic Takfirism.

(Far more interesting will be tracing back which American political party bears the greater semblance to this usual spray of Arabist sphincter-juice.)

Internal and conflicting Conservative reservations about Trump’s Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh should be sufficient to raise a few warning flags.

Now, try to imagine what catastrophic disarray the Left’s house must be in. Mad Max? In the Oval Office? Are you farking kidding me?!? We all know that running Hillary again would be like taking a spavined, last-place nag, and placing her right back in the very next race. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, any serious 2020 Dem contenders are heading for the hills because they damn well know they’ve a snowball’s chance in hell against Trump in 2020.

Hmmmmm … 2020 as in Twenty–Twenty Vision. Let’s hope Trump uses that theme in his reelection campaign, eh?

    • Yes he is going to win big in 2020 and the Dems are going to lose big in both 2018 and 2020. Their best chance of regaining some of their power is to win in 2024 (hopefully Pence will run as Trumps 3rd term in office and then govern like he would) but even if they win it is doubtful they will be able to take control of Congress.

Having said that have you considered the possibility that by 2020 the #walkaway movement will have taken so many people from the Dems that they are going to have to try and form one or more new parties to try win elections? We won’t know if this is going to happen or not for a while but the 2018 elections will be a good data point on the possible demise of the Dem party.

Thomas Shannon was the number three official in the State Department — until he quit in June, joining a growing wave of top diplomats who have departed their posts.

That meant he was at home when President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday and told the world that he trusted Putin’s word over that of the American intelligence community.

“That was distressing,” Shannon told VICE News in his first interview since leaving office. “Because I was part of a larger evaluation of Russian interference, or efforts to interfere, in our election. And I have no doubt about it.”

He added, “In many ways this was kind of a wink heard round the world. Winking at Russian behavior which should not be winked at — it should be called to account.”

Shannon spent more than 34 years in the foreign service, much of it in posts across South and Central America. His retirement, he said, was purely a personal choice.

Meanwhile, his experience at the top level of the Trump administration has left him wary, though not quite ready to declare Trump a threat to the nation, like some of his former colleagues.
