  1. Can you even begin to imagine the furor and incandescent wrath that would have ensued showing the exact same depiction of 0bama being treated accordingly?

This is the thundering silence of abject Liberal hypocrisy.

Remember the poutrage that followed publication of this cartoon?

  2. It is a data point.

There are a lot of rich farmers in the North Eastern US that are selling out and leaving for flyover country, they are buying land for 3 to 4 times its worth to get a place to move into this summer. This tells me that they think the North Eastern US is going to get dangerous for them and they want to get someplace the think will remain safe. Or at least a place that still allows self defense.

Why do Maine and South Africa bubble up to the surface?

      • Yeah they do spring to mind, of course the difference in gun laws from the Northeast and Missouri also spring to mind. As does the fact we have both a castle law and a stand your ground law. Plus we have Constitutional Carry, both open and concealed, big attraction to upper middle class lower upper class farming families.

      They might be right.
But for me – personally – anywhere but here, Massachusetts, would be exile. I can’t do that.

My family gravesite is here. I’m bound to this history. Here is where I stand my ground.
