  1. A CHANCE FOR FRANCE?

All white on the night! Thousands flock to Paris for a ‘Diner en blanc’ meal on the French capital’s streets

    • Organisers said between 20,000 and 30,000 revelers were expected to attend the event in the city centre

    • Diners received a last-minute text revealing the location to them and had to scurry to secure the best places

    • The jaw-dropping spectacle took place on lawns outside the historic Les Invalides monument in Paris

Who says the French have become déclassé?

    • You won’t believe me but it’s true.

In psychology, sudden facial hair growth on a male is a sign of either weakness or a sudden desire to change one’s life. It’s always associated with unhappiness.

Through his fame, he’s undergoing a life change. I’m certain he’s met loads of gorgeous females and he’s lost. His marriage is not going well. He’s met and had, through his travels, multiple sexual relationships with adoring females, something his wife has in mind.

When I saw the facial hair growing out, I thought OOPS, something wrong in his personal life.

Now, it’s only a question of money distribution, aka financial loss.

Very sad because he’s a certain type of genius. But once again, females have the upper hand through the southern part of the border aka SEX.

Which brings me back to damn feminism. We don’t need it, we have all the equipment if needed.

      • I didn’t know that about facial hair, but it bothered me. Takes away from his good looks, hides expression.

        • Yes. It makes him look less strong. He exuded more power with a clean face.

            • The problem lies mostly with the mustache. The thicker and longer the mustache and the greater the insecurity, always toward females also.

High-power white leaders, may it be of a nation or a major corporation, don’t have mustaches. Self-confident men don’t have mustaches. Meanwhile, most Arab/Mid-Eastern Muslims do. Note that Jews don’t.

Sometimes, we see men that suddenly shave their mustache after years of wearing one. In almost all cases, a female is involved. The men are happy and feel secure.

              • My father had a beard but that was because he was too lazy to shave(mornings were already bad enough). I think that “manicured” beards might fit in with your thesis as opposed to simply not shaving.
As for leaders I think that even they are susceptible to trends as almost all leaders in the 19th century had beards.

                • Forget the beard. The indicator is the bushy or broom mustache, especially when worn alone i.e. without beard.

There is a saying that it takes a woman to make a man clean. If your dad had his eyes set on another woman, trust me, he would have cleaned up his beard.

                  • I doubt it as he always had attractive female interns hanging off his every word when he was at work. problems. However both he and my mother were soul mates and that bond was unbreakable. Even when I went to the same building to work I had to endure their comments about him as they had no idea as to who I was and I never disillusioned them.

              • Not really we just think the woman is more important then the woman, if the woman says if you want to kiss me the mustache goes it usually goes.

          • Are you meaning waddle? If so no I was never that fat and had to lose about 40 pounds a few years ago.

            • Are you meaning waddle?

Nope. Wattles are the equivalent of jowls on some animals. The joke is from the Dan Rather era as his visage began to noticeably droop.

              • Thanks the wattle I had ever heard of was the wattle and dab building technique.

              • To answer the question yes, not as much as before I lost the weight but they are still predominate. That is why the goatee and mustache and yes they have turned white.

                • prominate

I don’t know what is causing me to type the wrong word today but something is.

    • I don’t think that Dr. Jordan Peterson is on a suicide mission. I do think that he is on the wrong diet.

      • My 2 Cents
If anyone knows Dr. Peterson and is able to contact him, then please forward this info to him. I’m sure that one of these three Doctors + Dr. Neal Barnard (PCRM + Barnard serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine) can help him. Thank You.

        Autoimmune Diseases
Dr. Michael Greger – East Coast
        Text + videos below.
        https://nutritionfacts.org/topics/autoimmune-diseases/

Dr. John McDougall – SanFran, CA
        He has a website drmcdougall.com

        • My recommendation to Dr. Peterson would be to cancel all speaking engagements and attend this 10-Day Live-in Program:
          June 8 – 17, 2018.
Since this may be late to register for the program, I think that if Dr. Peterson could call Dr. McDougall, he would fit him in (Professional Courtesy). What does he have to lose? He may just gain back his health and his life.
          https://www.drmcdougall.com/health/programs/10-day-program/

          • PS – I was alarmed when I saw Jordan Peterson in this video which was live streamed on June 1, 2018.
I did not listen to the video. Dr. Peterson’s appearance stopped me in my tracks. He is a shadow of his physical self. He needs to step off the lecture train and get some needed rest and possibly attend the McDougall Program, or at least study and be open to the material posted above.
The world’s problems will be there when he gets back and the world’s problems does not belong on Peterson’s shoulders. So shake off the imagined weight. Stand up straight and have a belly laugh. You do know that laughter is the best medicine.
            Make America Laugh Again 🙂

          • Thanks Eeyore. I just opened a twitter account. I posted the Autoimmune Disease article/videos and added following: Dr. Peterson, Dr. Michael Greger, Dr. John McDougall etc.
I watch a “How to send private messages on twitter” via a YT video, and learned that you can only send private messages to people that are following you. I have no followers. So that’s that 🙁
            https://twitter.com/EB03074874

            • You can still tweet to him using @ then his twitter handle.

So in this case, its something like @JordanPeteron but look it up I dont have it exactly right.

Then its in his public feed.

              • I did not notice it before but He has a “Tweet to Jordan B Peterson” link on his twitter page! So I sent the tweet. Yikes!

          • I thank God that I have missed that problem. I hope they find a cure for it soon.

            • Natural selection.
MS in the immediate family, too. I was born with an abundance of gifts. This was an unfortunate tag-along.

G-d is gracious and merciful. I’m grateful for every day, no matter what. There’s something that gives me pleasure -every -single -day.

I just have to pay attention, that’s all.

              • I just have to pay attention, that’s all.

I simply adore your positive attitude, yucki. You are able to look on the bright side without being a Pollyanna.

                Stay well.

              • Please do not take my other comments about religion personally. I respect all those who believe so long as they do not evangelize(as I see that as an insult as it implies that I have never thought about it). So may your god protect you and may your faith continue too blossom.

                • I( try not to do that, you are an adult and are allow to believe any way you want as long as you don’t injure others or try and force others to believe the way you do. This is called freedom of religion, one of the greatest of all freedoms.

              • A bad heart and the possibility of basil cell skin cancer is all I know of in my ancestry. Yes I had it on the back of my neck about 3 years ago, my father had it on the tip of his nose twice.

          • My sympathy. The red wolf used to be a death sentence but now it is better understood and mild to moderates cases are far easier to control. I have seen the horrors of SLE outside of the west.

  2. Jordan Peterson’s Evidence-Based Endeavor
    BY JONATHAN N. STEA

It is well known that clinical psychologist, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, has been portrayed in the media as a polarizing figure: bigoted alt-right charlatan on the one hand, superordinate fatherly free-speech protector on the other hand. The former portrayal reflects downright ignorance and the latter is optimistic. Commentary on his clinical psychological acumen is conspicuously absent. His detractors are keen to point out his politics, eccentricities, and volatility, as if political pigeon-holing and ad hominem attacks weaken the veracity of his claims. This is inaccurate.

I know because I am a former psychology student of Jordan Peterson at the University of Toronto; he was my undergraduate thesis supervisor. I have a master’s of science degree and a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the University of Calgary. I am a registered and practicing clinical psychologist in Calgary, AB, Canada. I provide evidence-based treatment to individuals with concurrent mental health and addictive disorders in a specialty outpatient hospital clinic. I have published many peer-reviewed scientific research papers on topics related to addiction and mental health. What Jordan Peterson is preaching is, in fact, based in solid scientific principles for behavior change. He has been accused of cherry-picking findings from multiple disciplines and offering conjecture in areas outside of his expertise. Instead, Peterson should rightfully be lauded for embodying the scientific spirit. He aims to draw his conclusions based on a scientific principle called consilience of findings, which was popularized by E. O. Wilson in his 1998 book Consilience: The Unity of Knowledge. This means that Peterson aims to link facts and principles across disciplines of study to help ground his claims in evidence. It is not an easy feat for anybody to pursue, especially academics, who are highly, albeit narrowly, specialized in their respective fields.

The field of clinical psychology, however, is Peterson’s territory. While it is obvious to people familiar with his work that Peterson revivifies and makes accessible a multitude of esoteric insights derived from depth psychology and philosophy, it is perhaps less obvious that his messages parallel those to be found in the repertoire of your local evidence-based, practicing clinical psychologist. For example, Peterson’s detailing and promotion of hero mythology can be thought of as the original, romanticized, and richer version of the colder, clinical application of exposure-based treatments that are derived from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)—one of the most evidence-based psychological treatments that we have for a myriad of presenting problems, including depressive, anxiety, and addictive disorders.

    • This is an interesting video for me as it falls into my wheelhouse.
Waaaay back in the mid 90’s loans started to appear for single and multi family housing with zero down and actually, costs associated with the purchase financed. The first time I saw a loan like this I was startled; Whoa, people are “buying” property with zero down, not even the closing costs? What incentive is there to maintain the property or make the payments? Well, the answer was none.
This held true to commercial residential housing as well. People buying up apartment buildings on a shoestring, doing nothing to maintain them, collecting rent and then walking away. I am just one analyst but, it was my observation that this was happening in mostly minority neighborhoods and that the “owners” were also minorities. So, people from the same minority community were preying on other same minorities.
So, what happened next? The properties reverted back to the banks. This is known as REO (real estate owned.) I was then tasked with doing portfolios of REO’s for various banks. On more than one occasion I called the bank and told them to sell the place for a dollar because if anyone found out what the condition was of a piece of real estate, it would make the front page of the LAT. I actually had a male assistant quit on me. He freaked out at an apartment building in East LA and quit that evening when we got home to the office.
I gained the moniker of “slum queen” in the office as I was one of the only people in the dept. that was willing to do this job and, every other person in the dept. was male.
My family started to worry. I started bringing my pit bull along with me while photographing exteriors at 6am on Sunday mornings. I started writing body guards into my proposals. The fact is I was making a lot of money analyzing these properties for banks, law firms and the court.
Not everything was so dire but most of it was. After the Rodney King riots when commercial real estate was pretty much burned to the ground, I remember showing up to a commercial construction site about 30 minutes early and before I could get out of the car a limo pulled up. Out walked two black men dressed in $1,000 dollars suits. I exclaimed that they were here early! They said that early was on time and on time was late… They walked me through the project and made a special point of showcasing the police substation they had built into the project. Two jail cells!
At the end of our interaction I asked if either of them had ever considered running for office because I would vote for them! The same goes for Magic Johnson. He put an extraordinary investment into a blighted LA neighborhood and turned it around. I don’t know how that community is doing today but, back in the 90’s that was an extraordinary effort.
And Barney Frank? I watched this unfold and the truth is that the Bush admin. went to the hill at least 8 times asking them to reign in the lending insanity. They came up against Mr. Frank. Everyone that knew anything about this knew it was a disaster waiting to happen. Unfortunately, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae had become parking grounds for Democrat cronies. They made their 3-5 million in salary and moved on. No one wanted to upset that apple cart.

      • Have you watched “The Big Short”? I thought that it did well to nutshell mortgage banking.

      • I watched that disaster from a distance, this was one of the prime causes for the 08 crash and under Obama they reinflated everyone of the bubbles to higher levels.

      • So, people from the same minority community were preying on other same minorities.

What’s new about that? It’s what they do best.

Between the ’98 Asian Flu and the 2008 Crash, America’s middle class and small-time investors were cleaned out like a hotel room (i.e., over and over again).

In fact, under 0bama’s watch, Black American home ownership took one of its biggest hits, ever. The notion that banks could ever underwrite real estate purchases with zero-down loans simply boggles the mind.

        PS: Excellent storytelling, Babs!

      • Barney Frank represented my district before it was gerrymandered.
I’m not sure he ran against anyone, we’re just that corrupt.
A Democrat-machine politician, as toxic as they come.

    • It is almost impossible to imagine that 0bama’s treason is any worse than what I currently believe to be the case.

    • No it isn’t worse then I thought, the only reason people think it is worse is because they are just realizing that Obama’s main goal throughout his entire Presidency was the destruction of the US. That is why he is now running around the world trying to undermine Donald Trump and his actions to make America a strong, powerful and free nation.

  3. Add the materialism of difference(human fluids), prostitution of aesthetics(golden toilet?), and leftist contamination(infinite) to the mix and you can thank Nobel that there is no Nobel prize for art as we all know that no one deserving would receive it. Picasso told my grandfather(trying to save one of his personal favourites) that he could not believe what the “art experts” could and would swallow no matter how hard he pushed them.

  4. I remember when the “M” in MTV stood for music. Now it just stands for mind control

    Just one video of several:

    • Speaking of music….

Bigmouth strikes AGAIN! Morrissey is blasted for defending jailed EDL leader Tommy Robinson just weeks after backlash for claiming ‘evil’ halal meat is approved of by ‘ISIS supporters’

The outspoken singer sparked outrage online by describing the jailing of English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson as ‘shocking’.

The former Smiths frontman from Manchester was discussing what he feels is a lack of diversity in opinion in mainstream politics during an interview.

He said right-winger’s jailing for breaking contempt laws by filming outside a court was an example of how Britain’s biggest political parties are against freedom of expression.

‘It’s very obvious that Labour or the Tories do not believe in free speech,’ he told tremr. ‘I mean, look at the shocking treatment of Tommy Robinson.’

      http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5813701/Morrissey-blasted-defending-right-wing-thug-Tommy-Robinson.html

      • I could not look at that page for >10secs as its sheer sewerage content drowned any interest. I actually boggled at the other trash on that page and if this is what the average UK person consumes as news the god or someone help them

    • And then there’s this GEM with Gavin McInnes:

“Why is this Trans-Alliance worker (if it is her) going to our schools, drawing serial killers next to our kids? What!?”

    • MTV (properly pronounced “Empty – V”) has done more to destroy music than just about any other organized entity.

Imagine, if you will, a supremely talented guitarist, singer, composer, and lyricist … who just happens to be overweight and balding.

What chance of airtime does that chap have? MTV is all about photogenics and NOTHING to do with music. May they rot in hell.

  5. Richard said: “Just in case this oddball discussion seems to have strayed too far afield: Interstellar travel will be humanity’s ONLY real option for long-term perpetuance and survival”

I thoroughly agree with that and it has been my basic core belief WRT humanity since I was a teen. However the recent leftist lunacy and the invasion by savages and barbarians could make this pointless as then it will be impossible and humanity will not be worth the effort of saving anyway as our libraries, our great works, our knowledge will all be consumed to the flames BUT this time there will be no easy access to bitumen, coal or even copper, tin, or lead ore let alone iron ore and the stone age will beckon again. In addition there will be no pyramids(already part of the MB’s aims for Egypt), no Mayan temples and no trace of any past left by islam if it becomes a sharia world. I wonder if this has happened before. This is how I see the future and why I see ideologicide as necessary. Apols to others

      • One would help lower the launch costs and given the amount of raw material in space that we will be mining it is probably the safest way to bring the refined metals down to earth. Or if we want to use orbital manufacturing bring the finished products down to earth. The only thing that would be better is anti gravity and as far as I know we still have no idea how to achieve this goal.

        • IIRC Clarke pushed that and recently someone said that it was feasible engineering wise with our current technology.

          • … someone said that it was feasible engineering wise with our current technology.

With the advent of carbon nanotubes (for the belt) and other exotic, advanced high performance materials (e.g., ceramics, composites, specialty alloys), a space elevator is totally doable.

MIT (or DARPA?) already is holding yearly speed “races” for crawlers that will move up and down the belt.

The video’s one true bit of genius is showing the ground-based laser propulsion system that would power the crawler. That means the belt does not have to move and that the crawler need not carry all that extra fuel or energy.

Other older designs had a moving belt with two capsules as counterweights. Like the pendulums on a cuckoo clock.

            From Wiki:

Konstantin Tsiolkovsky once proposed a tower so tall that it reached into space, so that it would be held there by the rotation of the Earth. However, at the time, there was no realistic way to build it.

To try to solve the problems in Komsomolskaya Pravda (July 31, 1960), another Russian, Yuri Artsutanov, wrote in greater detail about the idea of a tensile cable to be deployed from a geosynchronous satellite, downwards towards the ground, and upwards away, keeping the cable balanced. This is the space elevator idea, a type of synchronous tether that would rotate with the earth. However, given the materials technology of the time, this too was impractical on Earth.

In the 1970s, Jerome Pearson independently conceived the idea of a space elevator, sometimes referred to as a synchronous tether,[4] and, in particular, analyzed a lunar elevator that can go through the L1 and L2 points, and this was found to be possible with materials then existing.

        • Or if we want to use orbital manufacturing bring the finished products down to earth.

The superb science fiction writer, Peter Hamilton, proposed shaping bulk-extracted materials from orbital refineries into flight surfaces and “landing” them in specific bodies of fresh water from where they would be easily recoverable.

From: Mining for asteroids will be the next gold rush

One example — 3,000 feet across — was recently estimated to contain 90 million tons of platinum, worth around $5.4 trillion. A smaller asteroid — about 100 feet across — could contain materials worth between $25 billion and $50 billion on Earth.

Considering that a single asteroid could contain more platinum than has ever been mined in all of human history, I’d say it’s time build a space elevator, assemble some tugs, and start towing a few of these puppies into orbital processing plants.

PS: Babs, please do a search on Space+Elevator+Elaine+Walker and you will link to a working copy.

          • Back in the 80s one group calculated that the cost of building an orbit to orbit tug or prospecting vessel the size of a single with trailer would in 80s money cost about $50,000 if the construction was done in orbit. This would let us send out a lot of prospectors and bring a lot of metal into orbit. All we have to do is get some kind of fairly cheap launch system and a space elevator would do that.

            • Richard, here is an ancient (1993) but fascinating article: A Rocket a Day
              Keeps the High Costs Away

You might be amazed at what we could be doing, even without a space elevator.

There is so much more we could achieve with the resources that we have. NASA’s post-Apollo mismanagement of America’s space program was nothing short of criminal.

              • I am not that amazed, the military was working on the Delta Clipper rocket in ther 1990s, the flew a 1/3rd scale model successfully over a dozen times. The Clintons took it away from the military and gave it to NASA, they crashed it the first time and killed the program. It was built with off the shelf tech and was designed for a 24 hour turn around on the ground.

              • The projected launch cost in 1990s dollars was about $10 per pound, now ounce but pound.

      • Well, it wasn’t the best few minutes I have spent online because the video wouldn’t run.

    • It is our only long term chance of survival, we will return to space to get the mineral resources out there. The only question is will we do it now when we can learn how to do this without killing a lot of people or will we wait until we have to go no matter what and we do the fast and dirty route?

Yes there is a good chance that a lot of our great works or art and history will be destroyed as we fight to ensure the survival of the western nations and cultures. And yes the destruction of the Ideology of Islam is the only way that we can keep some of the ancient artifacts intact. This loss is why I occasionally tell people to save the movies and TV shows they really like and to save all of the books they like, both fiction and non fiction. This is because I do think civilization will fall, high tech will survive and will grow but we will in may ways return to barbarism and tribalism. Saving the old movies and the books, great of just general entertainment is going to make it easier for us to claw our way back to civilization.

      • So long as you are not dependent upon electricity. But if you must, then a perennial stream with a paddle wheel and 20 12v car generators will power all but your heaters, stoves and toasters and? microwave(untested). Avoid solar as its lifetime is far too poor. Paperbacks once read should be sealed in airtight plastic and kept in the dark.

        • I don’t think we are going to fall to the point we don’t have electricity but we might.

        • Just wait until we have high-temperature (i.e., room temperature) superconductors. That same car generator rig would power your stove, heater, toaster, and microwave all at once.

          • Umm have you looked at what it takes to make a superconductor? The more complex and higher level the technology the more unstable it becomes and the easier it is to totally collapse.

  6. Thank you for the attempt but as a hard core agnostic who owns all available gospels and religious texts and not a few commentaries, I see religion, despite its supposed binding force, as being one of the great evils. Not because of any god, although I see allah as far more evil than lucifer, but because as soon as it is organized, it is polluted by political man and becomes a control mechanism.

    • As far as I can tell Lucifer and Allah are the same being.

Yes organized religion can and often has been used as a control mechanism, this is why the Founding Fathers tried to ensure that there would be no state religion in the US. Although they did think that we would always be a Christian nation.

The fact that religion can and has been used for evil is no reason to throw out the baby with the bath water, you just have to ensure that 1) the Churches don’t get too much power, and 2) that the Christian religion goes through periodic reformations to keep the Churches preaching the Bible and no currently popular political BS.

      • If you read paradise lost it is hard not to sympathize with lucifer and why he is what he is. allah is , was and always has been a mongrel and even huitzilopoctili could justify his demands but not that figment of muhammad’s lurid imagination.
You are being too kind to religion as your 1) and 2) points are totally dependent upon the elite(who desire control) agreeing with you.
Even now the churches are actively complicit in the sharia takeover of the west so I am sorry but that invalidates both points.

F-16 fighter jets destroyed a building where members of the ultra-hardline Sunni group’s leadership were operating, it said in a statement.

Islamic State, which once occupied a third of Iraq’s territory, has been largely defeated in the country but still poses a threat along its border with Syria…”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/06/07/hungarian-identitarian-leader-suspended-facebook-posting-breitbart-london-article/

“Hungarian Identitarian movement leader Abel Bodi was suspended from Facebook this week for sharing a Breitbart London article that reported on his detainment and deportation from the UK earlier this year.

Mr. Bodi, who leads the Hungarian branch of the Identitarian movement, told Breitbart London that he had been suspended from his personal Facebook account for the second time in a week for posting the article in question, which he had shared in April, and provided a screenshot showing Facebook claiming the post “violates our community principles”.

The article was an exclusive story in which Breitbart London obtained the documents from Mr. Bodi’s interview with the UK border force in April.

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/06/07/germanys-der-spiegel-calls-italians-ungrateful-moochers/

“Der Spiegel magazine has aggravated tensions between Germany and Italy with a contemptuous article accusing the Italians of being ungrateful “moochers” who are pulling Europe into a crisis reminiscent of Greece’s.

“In Rome, populists with their anti-euro course seriously endanger the European project,” Der Spiegel announces in this week’s issue. “They are dragging their country and Europe into the next big crisis after the Greek drama and the Brexit decision.”

    • Victor Davis Hanson, May 29:

…As for Germany, it is no longer the “new” model West Germany of the post-war order, but a familiar old Germany that now pushes around its neighbors on matters of illegal immigration, financial bailouts, Brexit, Russian energy, and NATO contributions, much as it used to seek to expand Prussia and the Sudetenland.

German unification now channels more the spirit of 1871 than of 1989. Call the new German attitude “Prussian postmodernism” — a sort of green and politically correct intimidation. Likewise, in terms of the treatment of German Jews, Germany seems more back in the pre-war than in the post-war world.

As far as the U.S., Germany has redefined its post-war relationship with the America on something like the following three assumptions: 1) Germany’ right to renege on its promise to spend 2 percent of its GDP on defense in order to meet its NATO promises is not negotiable; 2) its annual $65 billion surplus with the U.S. is not negotiable; 3) its world-record-busting account surplus of $280 billion is not negotiable. Corollaries to the above assumptions are Germany’s insistence that NATO in its traditional form is immutable and that the present “free” trade system is inviolable.

Soon, some naïf is going to reexamine German–American relations and exclaim “there is no there.”

“Forty-six migrants drowned and 16 are missing after their boat capsized off the shore of Yemen on Wednesday, the United Nations Migration Agency said.

At least 100 migrants were crammed into a smuggler’s boat that left the port of Bossaso in Somalia on Tuesday, travelling through the night.

The boat overturned in high waves in the Gulf of Aden at around 5am (2am GMT) as it approached its destination.

“IOM staff reported that 46 migrants had drowned, 37 men and 9 women. A further 16 remain missing, presumed dead,” the agency said in a statement, adding that they were all believed to be Ethiopian.

“Survivors said the passengers, who were without lifejackets in the smuggler’s boat, started panicking as high waves struck close to the shore. As the boat took on water, they were pitched headlong into the rough seas where so many succumbed.”…”

  13. Giant Mosque Slated for Construction in Sweden‘s ‘Little Mogadishu’ (sputniknews, Jun 7, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201806071065179021-sweden-giant-mosque/

“At 5,000 square meters, the new mosque in one of Stockholm’s immigrant districts that is a fixture on the government’s list of “extremely vulnerable areas,” rife with crime and urban blight, will have 18 domes and cost SEK 100 million ($11.5 million).

The construction company NCC and the Rinkeby fundraising foundation are working together to construct a large Mosque in the district of Rinkeby in northwest Stockholm, the company reported in a press release.

According to the design proposal by architect Johan Celsing, the new 18-dome mosque will measure 5,000 square meters and include prayer rooms, classrooms, a café and a gym. Although the parties are currently still working on the design, the total cost construction cost was estimated at SEK 100 million ($11.5 million).

The new mosque will be located in the center of Rinkeby in close proximity to the new police station that is currently being built by the same construction company.

“Local inhabitants have long longed for a mosque. No one has complained about or appealed this decision, there is only strength and joy over the coming spiritual establishment,” Ibrahim Bouraleh of the Muslim foundation told national broadcaster SVT.

According to Bouraleh, the mosque will face Islam’s holy city of Mecca, thus differing from the city streets’ usual grid.

?The necessary building permits have been in place for several years, however only approximately SEK 3 million ($340,000) has been collected so far.

“For eight years, we have been trying to get funding, but now we are as close as you can be,” Bouraleh said.

Despite the fact that more money is obviously needed, the plan is to start construction as quickly as possible — with Swedish money. Previously, the mosque plans came under fire over foreign donations from, among others, Saudi Arabia, but Bouraleh assured that this is “finished chapter.”

The construction company NCC is optimistic about the mission.

“This assignment allows us to rest on the positive experiences we already have in Rinkeby, for example through the police department we are currently building, and to participate in the continued development of the city as a whole. Building a mosque will be also fun technology-wise,” Fredrik Anheim, NCC division head said in the press-release.

The construction of the mosque is expected to be completed by 2020.

Rinkeby is part of Greater Stockholm. At over 15,000 inhabitants, Rinkeby is noted for its high concentration of immigrants and their descendants; over 90 percent of its population has a foreign background. As people of African descent constitute close to half of Rinkeby’s population, with the Somali diaspora being particularly prominent, Rinkeby has been often referred to as “Little Mogadishu.” To match this demographic trend, the Rinkeby mosque’s homepage is available in Somali.

?In 2015, Rinkeby was placed on the police list of “extremely vulnerable” areas in terms of crime rate, urban blight and unemployment.”

  19. ‘Fear of Migration Seems Natural Given What is Happening in Europe’ – Researcher (sputniknews, Jun 7, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/analysis/201806071065190625-czech-republic-migration/

“Jan Koros, a student from the Technical University of Liberec in the Czech Republic, interviewed over 100 fellow students about their attitude towards migrants and got interesting results.

Two-thirds of the students expressed negativity towards migration and only one-third supported the policy of multiculturalism. Sputnik discussed the survey with Mr. Koros.

Sputnik: How do you evaluate the results of the survey? Is the high percentage of students who are negative about migration surprising to you, considering that the problem of illegal migration in the Liberec region is not that acute?

Jan Koros: I assess the results realistically. It turned out as it turned out, we must respect any opinion. The high percentage [of those opposing migration] did not surprise me personally, because if you look at what is happening in Europe, the fear of migration will seem as quite a natural feeling to you, as well as the results of the survey. In the Liberec region, as in the whole of the Czech Republic, the problem with illegal migration is not so acute; it is clear that, for example, in Britain, France, and Belgium, everything is much more difficult if you look at what is happening there, the results [of the survey] will seem quite natural.

Sputnik: According to the data received, 48 percent of female students and 76 percent of male students have a negative attitude towards migration. Why do men and women perceive the problem of migration in different ways?

Jan Koros: I think that the difference [in the perception of migration] between male and female respondents is that women can feel the distress of other people more, they are empathic, and therefore the desire to help others is higher. While men tend to be more radical, which is confirmed by the results of the study.

Sputnik: The difference in perception was observed in different age groups: students aged 22 and under were “clearly against” in 15 percent of cases and “rather against” in 50 percent of cases, while in the 23 years and older group, these indicators were 21 percent and 41 percent, respectively.

Jan Koros: With age — it’s very difficult. Two categories were singled out, and the “older” group reacted more positively to migration in the Czech Republic, but the difference was not so great, so I would not make any special conclusions from this. But, perhaps, the younger people in this sense are more radical.

Sputnik: If a similar survey was conducted at other universities, do you think the results would be the same? Do you think the attitude of Liberec students towards migration is typical for Czech youth?

Jan Koros: I think that we would get similar results in Ostrava, Zlín and South Bohemia region and also in a number of other universities. While on the contrary, students of Charles University in Prague, in my opinion, would have taken a completely different stance on the issue of migration. Those living in the capital have very different views from residents of other regions of the Czech Republic; they would rather speak in favor of migration, but this is my personal opinion.”

GUANGZHOU, China (AP) — A U.S. medical team was screening more Americans who work in a southern Chinese city as the State Department confirmed evacuating a number of government workers who experienced unexplained health issues like those that have hurt U.S. personnel in Cuba and China.

The evacuations of the workers in Guangzhou followed medical testing that revealed they might have been affected. State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said “a number of individuals” have been brought to the U.S. but didn’t say how many were affected or evacuated. One case in Guangzhou had been disclosed last month.

Troubling US Navy review finds widespread shortfalls in basic seamanship

WASHINGTON — A three-month internal review conducted by senior U.S. surface fleet leaders found some or significant concerns with the ship handling skills of nearly 85 percent of its junior officers, and that many struggled to react decisively to extricate their ship from danger when there was an immediate risk of collision, according to an internal message obtained by Defense News.

Led by the Surface Warfare Officer School, officer of the deck competency checks were conducted on a random selection of OOD-qualified first-tour division officers (the newest officers in the fleet) in underway bridge navigation simulators fleet-wide between January and March. Of the 164 officers who were evaluated, only 27 passed with “no concerns.” Another 108 completed with “some concerns,” and 29 had “significant concerns,” according to the message, which was released by the Navy’s top surface warfare officer Vice Adm. Richard Brown.

Brown, who leads Naval Surface Force Pacific, termed the results “sobering.”

The evaluations raise distressing questions about the level of ship handling training junior officers get both prior to their arrival at their first command and when they arrive. In a Tuesday interview with Defense News at the Pentagon, Brown said the checks would be used to inform new training in development for young officers and that changes were already underway that show the Navy is serious about self-assessment and improvement in the wake of the twin disasters that claimed the lives of 17 sailors last summer.

      • Yup, I know a lot of vets who (under Obama) were sure that we would be invaded and that the military was so weak they couldn’t stop it. This is why a lot of vets spent more then they could afford on firearms and ammo. Turns out the invasion is going to wait for a few years and will have a lot of women and kids in the invading force. It will also have a lot of Arab fighters who are going to make the ownership of firearms and ammo a necessity,. A lot of the fighting will be self defense actions by the civilians so the idea that it would be up to the vets to protect the nation wasn’t that far off the mark.

        • After what I saw women and children did to the wounded I have no difference in my targeting. Anyone hostile is a target. During the settling of the West the saying was nits make lice and people these days look down on those who killed kids. In the Army of the West the kids 10/12 and on up to 18 or so the kids with the war parties were called suicide boys because they would take the most insane risks to kill you and prove themselves bull grown. 23. U.S. says diplomats in China hit by mystery illness

WASHINGTON/GUANGZHOU, China (Reuters) – The U.S. State Department has brought a group of diplomats home from Guangzhou, China, over concern they were suffering from a mysterious malady that resembles a brain injury and has already affected U.S. personnel in Cuba, a spokeswoman said.

After confirming one government employee had “suffered a medical incident” in the southern Chinese city, the department deployed a team to screen employees and family members at its consulate there, spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement on Wednesday.

“As a result of the screening process so far, the department has sent a number of individuals for further evaluation and a comprehensive assessment of their symptoms and findings in the United States,” Nauert said.

“Medical professionals will continue to conduct full evaluations to determine the cause of the reported symptoms and whether the findings are consistent with those noted in previously affected government personnel or possibly completely unrelated,” she said.

The New York Times reported that the State Department had evacuated at least two Americans who fell ill after hearing strange noises in China.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Thursday that as far as she was aware, the government had not had any formal communication with U.S. officials on any new cases, and that it had investigated an initial incident.

“At present, there’s been no discovery of clues or the reason causing the situation the United States mentioned,” Hua told a regular news briefing in Beijing, adding that China protected diplomats according to international convention.

  24. Putin says Russia not planning to withdraw from Syria yet

MOSCOW (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia was not planning to withdraw its forces from Syria for now, and would keep them there for as long as it was in Russia’s interest.

“We are not yet planning a withdrawal of these military forces,” Putin told a televised call-in.

“We are not building long-term facilities there and if needed we could fairly quickly withdraw our troops without material losses,” he said.

“But for the moment, we need them there, they are carrying out important tasks, including providing security for Russia in the region, and helping our interests in the economic sphere.”

The Kremlin first launched air strikes in Syria in September 2015 in its biggest Middle East intervention in decades, turning the tide of the conflict in President Bashar al-Assad’s favor.

In December, Putin flew to Syria and declared Russia’s mission accomplished, ordering a “significant part” of its contingent to start withdrawing.

No significant Russian withdrawal has been apparent.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia is not planning to pull all its troops out of Syria at the present time, and that they will stay as long as it is “beneficial for Russia” and in order to fulfil “international obligations,” while speaking during the annual ‘Direct Line’ Q&A in Moscow on Thursday.

During the session, people across Russia have the opportunity to contact President Putin via telephone, text message or on the dedicated website.

This year’s phone-in line is being held in an updated format.

The event-hosting multimedia studio is equipped with video walls along the perimeter that enables Putin to immediately get in contact with regional governors and the cabinet ministers in order to address issues straight away.

Another feature of the ongoing session is the absence of a studio audience, thus allowing the Russian leader to focus on questions and requests filed by Russian citizens.

So far some two million questions have been submitted for Putin’s Direct Line 2018 Q&A. The first phone-in line with President Putin took place in 2001 when he received around 400,000 questions.

Which would be its final destination and Soros damn-well knows it.

One trillion will not stop the flood as Africa cannot support them full stop.

The only thing that will taper off Africa’s exodus is targeted assassinations of almost all major, corrupt political figures that currently drink their people’s blood. Until then, NOTHING will change.

        • That still will not feed or employ the 8 children per family flushed out by Africans. Before western aid only two survived now all 8 do. thanks MSF etc

“Omar Jaiteh, 34, was jailed for two years for threatening to stab his neighbour because he called the fire brigade after his smoke alarm went off.

Mohammed Murad had called the emergency services after Jaiteh had set off the fire alarm and smoke was seen coming from his flat in Norbiton Road, off Salmon Lane, in Limehouse, East London, on July 23rd, 2017.

After the firefighters had left, Jaiteh came out of his flat in Redbourne House armed with a large kitchen knife and confronted Mr. Murad. Jaiteh lunged at Mr. Murad and ran after him until a neighbour was able to calm him and get him back in his flat, Court News reports.

Jaitah was caught on camera with the knife, and was arrested later that day. He denied guilt, even despite the evidence…”

  29. ‘I accept responsibility’ Mayor Sadiq Khan admits London crime wave is HIS fault (express, Jun 7, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/970908/london-news-Sadiq-Khan-London-crime-news-LBC-mayor

“LONDON Mayor Sadiq Khan has accepted responsibility for the dramatic increase in violent crime engulfing the streets of the capital, as well as blaming severe government cuts for the surge.

Speaking on LBC, Mr Khan said that as the capital’s crime commissioner, he must take the responsibility for the surge in crime, which has included moped muggings and sex attacks.

He said: “I’m the Mayor of London, I’m the Police and Crime Commissioner – I accept responsibility for what happens in our city.

“Security is the biggest concern I have, it’s the one thing that keeps me up at night – whether it’s terrorism threats, whether it’s the surge in serious violent crime.

“But I am not going to apologise for explaining the context. This weekend in Ipswich, a 17-year-old child lost his life because of a stabbing.”…”

  30. USA: ‘Ramadan Mubarak!’ – Trump hosts Iftar dinner after 2017 snub

US President Donald Trump hosted his inaugural Iftar dinner at the White House in Washington DC on Wednesday, a year after he broke two decades of tradition by snubbing the event. Top diplomats from Muslim-majority countries were present at the dinner.

“In gathering together this evening we honour a sacred tradition of one of the world’s great religions,” Trump said. “For the Islamic faithful, the Iftar dinner marks the end of the daily period of fasting and spiritual reflection that occurs throughout the holy month of Ramadan.”

Trump wished Muslims around the world a ‘Ramadan Mubarak’ while a small protest against the event was held outside to highlight the President’s ‘hypocrisy’ – a Muslim travel ban and ‘Islamophobic rhetoric’ were amongst the issues pointed out.

Iftar, literally ‘to break fast’ in Arabic, is the name of the daily meal which Muslims eat at sunset during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

    • VoA – Trump Welcomes Muslims to Iftar Dinner at White House

In hosting his first iftar dinner at the White House on Wednesday, President Donald Trump said to his guests “and to Muslims around the world, Ramadan Mubarak,” observing the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

“At tonight’s dinner, we especially are pleased to welcome members of the diplomatic corps, representing our friends and partners across the globe,” Trump said. “And a very warm welcome to all the ambassadors here tonight, representing Muslim-majority nations. We’re greatly honored by your presence, and thank you very much for being here.”

He said the gathering honored “a sacred tradition of one of the world’s great religions.”

Trump did not host an iftar dinner last year, breaking a tradition started by the Clinton administration and maintained through the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump called for a complete ban on all Muslims entering the United States and has signed multiple executive orders restricting immigration from Muslim-majority countries.

During Ramadan, observers abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. The iftar dinner is traditionally held at sundown, breaking the fast.

      • He said the gathering honored “a sacred tradition of one of the world’s great religions.”

When is someone going to take this tired, useless, “one of the world’s great religions”, meme out behind the barn and drown it in the horse trough?

    • USA: Muslims slam Trump’s ‘hypocritical’ Iftar dinner at the White House

Dozens of Muslims gathered outside the White House in Washington DC on Wednesday to break bread while US President Donald Trump hosted his first official Iftar dinner.

The event served as an act of protest against Trump’s ‘hypocrisy’, according to Abed Ayoub, Policy and Legal Director at the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC), who said holding the dinner was at odds with the anti-Muslim rhetoric the US President has employed.

“Trump doesn’t engage with American Muslims. To Trump, American Muslims are a foreign body and concept,” said another speaker.

This is Trump’s inaugural Iftar after he skipped it last year.

At sunset, the crowd gathered for a round of speeches, followed by prayers after which the participants broke their fast together.

Iftar, literally ‘to break fast’ in Arabic, is the name of the daily meal which Muslims eat at sunset during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

      • To Trump, American Muslims are a foreign body and concept,” said another speaker.

Is that a bit of truth I see leaking out around the edges?

  31. Channel 4 – Is the new Italian Government about to kick out migrants en masse?

The Italian economy has calmed down after last week mainly because the new government has shelved some of its more outlandish economic programmes, like getting the ECB to write off 250 billion euros of debt or indeed sneaking Italy out of the euro.

Remember, Italy isn’t just Europe’s fourth largest economy, it is a founding member of the EU.

The Treaty of Rome was signed in this city after all.

If the Five Star movement poses an economic challenge to Europe, the other partner, the League, poses a more visceral threat to Europe’s embattled values – will the new government kick out migrants?

  33. European Leaders Preparing to Build Asylum Camps Outside the EU (breitbart, Jun 7, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/06/07/european-leaders-finally-planning-asylum-camps-outside-the-eu/

“With the prospect of passing a common asylum law slipping away, leaders of European nations are in talks to house third world migrants in camps outside the EU.

The governments of Austria and Denmark are among those looking to develop a system that would offer protection to people in a place unattractive to people smugglers while their asylum application is processed.

Speaking in Copenhagen on Tuesday, Danish leader Lars Lokke Rasmussen said camps in a third country would have “a strong deterrent effect” on would-be asylum seekers if they know they will be deported upon having their application refused.

The project, which also involves officials from Germany and the Netherlands, would see the proposed camps situated on the continent of Europe but outside the EU, and placed in a “not particularly attractive country”, according to the Danish prime minister.

“It’d be in a country that isn’t on the migrants’ or the human traffickers’ list of preferred destinations,” he told Berlingske, adding: “Based on my discussions with other European leaders … we’ll be able to take the first step this year.”

After talks in Brussels Wednesday, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said the camps would be a solution to the problem of “asylum-shopping”, in which migrants “illegally cross through several countries and pick their favourite one to lodge their asylum claim”.

“It shouldn’t be like that,” he said, stressing that Austria’s conservative government is planning to focus on securing the bloc’s external frontiers during its six month EU presidency beginning July 1st.

“We must resolve the migrant question and if there is no solution at the June summit [of EU leaders], then we will have to continue to tackle the issue,” Kurz said.

Reforms to the Dublin Regulations proposed by the European Commission at the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 were planned to grant Brussels the power to take over member states’ border control and institute a permanent mechanism to share third world migrants across the bloc under a harmonised asylum system.

But with vocal opposition from Central European nations such as Poland and Hungary, and the governments of states including Austria and Slovenia turning rightwards following national elections, the reforms were described by Belgium as “dead” earlier this week.

Giving a speech in Munich, also on Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel pleaded for Europe’s borders to stay open and for a common asylum policy to be put in place, warning that the continent is “at a crossroads”.

“If we’re unable to come up with a common response to migration challenges, the very foundations of the EU will be at stake,” she told a meeting of European People’s Party (EPP) politicians.

Dismissing “the belief that Europe can seal its maritime frontiers with a European border police and some agreements with [third countries]”, as no solution, the German Chancellor stated that the only way to deal with illegal immigration is to “work on the causes of flight” by creating “development opportunities” for people from the third world.

Outlining her vision for a common asylum policy earlier this week, Merkel’s proposals for Dublin reform bore a striking resemblance to plans “to save the EU” which were floated by billionaire investment banker George Soros last week.

While throwing vast sums of money at Africa year on year in a bid to “provide opportunity” was insisted by both globalist figures to be the only way to solve the migrant crisis, experts and real-world figures have found that Western aid money and economic development are guaranteed to drive up emigration rates.

With World Bank data, development economist Michael Clemens found that poor countries’ emigration rates skyrocket as they get richer, with extra wealth causing migration rates to flatten only after a nation reaches middle-income status with income per capita levels along similar lines to Albania or Colombia.”

  34. Migrants From Iraq, Turkey Suspected of Raping, Murdering Jewish Girl in Germany (sputniknews, Jun 7, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201806071065205672-migrants-iraq-turkey-jewish-girl/

“Two men, of Iraqi and Turkish origin, who lived at homes for asylum seekers in Wiesbaden, Germany, have been identified as suspects in a murder case involving a Jewish girl, according to The Times of Israel. German authorities have yet to confirm the report.

The 14-year-old girl, Susanna F. from Mainz, came into the spotlight after she had been reported missing on May 22. According to the prosecutor’s office, the aforementioned men are suspected of having raped, murdered and buried her body on the day she went missing. Susanna’s rabbi, Aharon Ran Vernikovsky, said that the community would do everything they could to extend support to the girl’s family.

It is not clear what motives the suspects pursued and whether the rape and murder will be investigated as a hate crime.

According to the police, the Iraqi citizen was reported as a possible perpetrator by a teenage refugee boy, who had essentially told the police that Susanna had been raped and killed.

Ali Basar, the Iraqi suspect, appears to have abruptly left Germany last week, flying to Erbil, Iraq, via Istanbul. Having allegedly arrived in Europe in October 2015, he was a suspect in an array of previous offenses committed in the area, including a robbery. He is also believed to have attempted appealing his rejected asylum application. The Turkish suspect was detained on Wednesday.

The murder is yet another case reflecting tensions concerning the massive flow of migrants to Germany between 2015 and 2016, a crisis that had propelled the German right-wing Alternative for Germany party into the German parliament last year…”
