  1. BREITBART – Chechen Migrant Murdered, Put in Trash Can Seven-Year-Old Girl Because he Had a ‘Bad Day’

A 16-year-old born in Chechnya confessed to the murder of a seven-year-old girl in Vienna this week after he lured her to his home where he stabbed the child in a bathtub because he was “having a bad day”.

The 16-year-old, identified as Robert K., is said to have invited seven-year-old Hadishat, who lived in the same apartment complex in Vienna’s Döbling district, to his family’s apartment Friday and stabbed her in the neck until she died, Kronen Zeitung reports.

Hadishat had been playing with other children in the apartment complex courtyard before the murder and was well-known to both the murderer and his family as she had previously visited the apartment to play with the family’s cat.

Following the murder, the teen Chechen, who is an Austrian citizen and has lived with his family in Austria for several years, placed the young girl’s body into a large garbage bag and threw her in the apartment building’s garbage bin.

The victim’s 17-year-old brother called the police hours after she had disappeared and her body was found the following day by a waste management employee who saw her feet protruding from the dumpster.

Robert K. was not arrested for the murder until Tuesday and according to sources close to the investigation told investigators that he was motivated by the fact that he was having a “bad day” at the time.

The murder comes less than a week after another Chechen migrant in France stabbed and killed one and injured several others in Paris over the weekend. The man, identified as 29-year-old Khamzat Azimov, was also on the “S-File” terror watch list.

The attack came only months after German historian Christian Osthold claimed that Chechen migrants were rapidly taking over the radical Islamic extremist scene in Germany.

Isn’t there something that could be thrust into the neck of Robert K. that might obstruct his own ability to enjoy air life?

Let’s all hope that his fellow inmates are sufficiently creative. Why am I so confident?

    • It is this violent opposition to, “marriage-for-love”, versus the usual MME “marriage-for-alliance”, that distinguishes Islamic political (i.e., tribal) interpersonal relationships from a very few others. Sadly, Hindu, Chinese and many MENA (Middle East North Africa) cultures follow these same edicts and experience the same sort of massive cultural retardation.

Not only should women be pitied. Men and women alike all experience emotional deprivation that stunts their entire respective cultures in unimaginable ways.

    • And to think that MOABing a village like this is supposed to be a war crime?

  3. This makes me cry. While illegal migrants come with 4 wives and a gazillion children, paid 1000 euro a head on top of brand new townhouses being built for them (rent paid by the state of course) – this happens to pensioners who actually contributed to society and paid into the social system by working. God bring justice now, please.

      • Alice Weidel, “This government is run by idiots” – she also mentions the very same thing I just posted about senior citizen poverty.

    • The city of Hamburg -alone- spent 779.1 million on refugees last year.

The city of Hamburg spent 779.1 million euros on refugees last year. 147 million of them are borne by the federal government, remaining 632.1 million euros for the Hamburg budget. This emerges from a request of the CDU deputies Franziska Grunwaldt to the Senate.

Housing accounts for the largest share of the cost cake: the city paid just under 415 million euros in first-time housing and follow-up accommodation in 2017, with the nearly 184 million for the subsequent housing also benefiting the homeless.

The refugees are a job machine for many areas: the money went to security companies (more than 43 million euros).

Operators such as the German Red Cross charged their personnel costs with the city, received almost 43 million euros. The municipal company Fördern & Wohnen received € 30.6 million for salaries alone. The “Central Coordinating Staff Refugees” charged 8.4 million euros for salaries and office operations.
Also companies for container rental benefited from the refugees: They paid Hamburg last year, 35.5 million euros rent.

The area “social” beats with a good 120 million euros. This includes the 77 million euros that were paid directly to the refugees as pocket money under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act. The rest are health costs, such as the fees of the doctors in the Erstaufnahmen (Refugee reception centres).
Almost 90 million euros were incurred for the school and day-care center, half of them for additional school staff in the integration classes.

For “Integration and Volunteering” the city paid just under 21 million euros.
The operation of the detention center at the airport cost almost three million euros. Half a million were given voluntarily outliers for tickets and seed capital.
Overall, the refugee costs in Hamburg have fallen within a year by about 110 million euros: in 2016 they were still at 899 million euros, of which the city had to carry a good 674 million euros.

Please pardon any flippancy upon my part (unintentional or otherwise), but this is just another German war crime. Allowing an ex-STASI, Communist agent like Merkel to take the helm and NOT expect a steady erosion in quality-of-life (or human rights) is like hoping that water will flow uphill.

      God bring justice now, please.

Just as Mao described, justice (or political power) comes out of the barrel of a gun.

Europe’s nascent Freedom will, necessarily, sprout from a semiautomatic gun’s muzzle. Ten years ago the answer might have been different. Today? Few answers remain save those which offer drastic alternatives.

    • Only the removal by any means of all leftist traitors in both the bureaucracy and the government will ease this problem.

A deadly explosion at an office building in Southern California Tuesday is being investigated as an intentional attack and believed to have been triggered by a package, though no physical proof has been found on scene, according to several reports published Wednesday afternoon.

One person was killed and three others wounded as the result of an explosion inside a two-story building in Aliso Viejo, about an hour’s drive south from Los Angeles. A portion of the building’s walls were blown off, and witnesses said it felt like an earthquake hit during the blast.

Law enforcement officials told the Los Angeles Times the explosion was probably set off by a package. Another government source told the Associated Press the incident was intentional, and was not due to some malfunction in the building.

Ginger Colbrun, a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives spokeswoman based in Los Angeles, would not confirm information in either report.

  6. Two Colleagues Contradict Brennan’s Denial of Reliance on Dossier
    By Paul Sperry, RealClearInvestigations
    May 15, 2018

Former CIA Director John Brennan’s insistence that the salacious and unverified Steele dossier was not part of the official Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 election is being contradicted by two top former officials.

Recently retired National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers stated in a classified letter to Congress that the Clinton campaign-funded memos did factor into the ICA. And James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence under President Obama, conceded in a recent CNN interview that the assessment was based on “some of the substantive content of the dossier.” Without elaborating, he maintained that “we were able to corroborate” certain allegations.

These accounts are at odds with Brennan’s May 2017 testimony before the House Intelligence Committee that the Steele dossier was “not in any way used as the basis for the intelligence community’s assessment” that Russia interfered in the election to help elect Donald Trump. Brennan has repeated this claim numerous times, including in February on “Meet the Press.”

In a March 5, 2018, letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, Adm. Rogers informed the committee that a two-page summary of the dossier — described as “the Christopher Steele information” — was “added” as an “appendix to the ICA draft,” and that consideration of that appendix was “part of the overall ICA review/approval process.”

    • The upper echelons of the Federal Police and Intelligence agencies in the US are trying to covert their organizations from being subordinate to the Executive Branch and subject to Congressional oversight (not all of them but enough to try and stage a quiet coup) into a Praetorian Guard or Internal KGB who are above criticism and who are the ones who decide who wins the elections. They are being aided by the other leftist who want to establish a Marxist/communist/socialist/progressive government in the US to force us to live in a manner that they approve. You would have the right to say what they approve of, eat what they approve of, own what they approve or and to change you thoughts and actions on a seconds notice when they decide something is no longer safe for the masses.

  7. This Maltese Professor May Hold The Key To When The FBI Really Began Surveilling The Trump Campaign
Did Joseph Mifsud use George Papadopoulos as a pawn to set up Donald Trump? Did he feed Papadopoulos information about Russia to see how the Trump campaign responded?

What if Donald Trump is wrong? What if the Russia collusion investigation isn’t a witch hunt? What if it was a set-up—from the get-go?

That’s one—maybe the most—logical conclusion to reach after gathering the crumbs dropped over the previous two years in light of the Washington Post’s story last week confirming the existence of a “top-secret intelligence source” involved in the 2016 presidential election.

    • This ties in with my comment on the above post, Trump and the deplorables who voted for him had the gall to oppose the self proclaimed elite on the left and install a President who is not part of their tight little group of political oligarchs who think htey are ordained to reign over us. They are willing to let us vote every now and then as long as we understand that they are the ones who determine who wins and who loses. Yes the Dems may lose at times and a Repub of varying degrees of liberalism wins but they are still part of the self proclaimed political elite who want to be absolute monarchs over us. They don’t believe in the Constitution or the rule of law they want hard and fast laws for us but they are above the laws and can do what they want.

      • I couldn’t agree more. This insubordinate federal police/ intelligence community is as bad as it gets. Just what the would-be fascist dictatorship requires.

There are enough reasons to chop the FBI into pieces. Place the assets into agencies like the U.S. Marshal’s Service, diffuse political power they’ve acquired. By hook and crook.

The CIA, DNI, all those – 17 agencies?! – incestuous snoops have been allowed to run rampant over our Constitutional guarantees. Our personal data now lives in that vile Cloud, where FaceTwit- Bezos stores data for the CIA.

        And something else bothers me.
Look at our “5-Eyes” partners: they’re openly opposed to policies taken by the government WE elected.

Those countries are getting worse all the time. They’re spying on their own people, empowering domestic political police in service of hostile, alien agenda. They’re looking less and less reliable.

Trudeau? Mrs. May? Islamo-Commies and crypto-commies. And poor Australia may as well be transmitting secrets to China directly, they’re so compromised by more than a decade of sloppiness.

From evidence that’s come out about Operation Trump, looks like they all have entirely too much access to our intelligence. Both formally and via tangled old-boy networks. That’s no longer appropriate.

They ban our own people from entering their countries! As thought-crime criminals! They dis our President!

There’s a phony Cold War that’s doing real damage. A dangerous clique in our own country has gone too far. Nostalgia for allies from days of yore doesn’t mix with foreign intrigue.

Those who advocate the interests of enemies who shout, “Death to America!” can go to hell with them.

  8. White House Rejects Reports That Trump Backs DOJ Obstruction Of House Intel Subpoena
White House and congressional officials told The Federalist that the White House does not support DOJ obstruction of a congressional subpoena related to the 2016 Russia investigations.
May 14, 2018 By Mollie Hemingway

The White House does not support ongoing Department of Justice (DOJ) efforts to obstruct a congressional inquiry into the agency’s activities before and after the 2016 election, multiple White House and congressional officials told The Federalist. The independent accounts of these officials contradict news reports last week that the White House and DOJ were aligned against Congress in the matter.

Following the issuance of a subpoena by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), the Justice Department started waging a fierce public relations war in response, with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein characterizing the congressional inquiry as “extortion.” Last week, the Washington Post reported that President Donald Trump backed DOJ’s refusal to comply with a subpoena for information related to a key source involved in multiple investigations of Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

  9. FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man is facing federal charges that he phoned bomb threat messages into a mosque.

Miami federal prosecutors said in a news release Wednesday that 26-year-old Dustin Allen Hughes faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of making the telephone threats. Authorities say several voice mail messages were left earlier this month at the Jamaet Ul Muttaqueen Mosque of Pembroke Pines.

The voice mails were laced with profanity and said things such as, “I planted a bomb in your temple … you guys are all gonna be up in flames after I’m done with you!”

Authorities say no bomb was found. Prosecutors say Hughes confessed after his arrest to leaving the messages because he wanted to upset and frighten Muslims.

I dare say few Americans know that May 14th is the anniversary of the United States’ recognition of Israel. It was done by President Harry S. Truman, in the face of extraordinary opposition from several of Truman’s closest advisers.

It wasn’t easy. Some of the most powerful men in America were opposed, and they weren’t reluctant to fight the president. We’ve got a melodramatic account from Richard Holebrooke, who interviewed all the principal players some years later, and wrote an essay about it for the Washington Post.

  11. The Great Somali Welfare Rip-Off
$100 million in taxpayer cash shipped out of country in past year alone.
    May 16, 2018
    Lloyd Billingsley

At the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the carry-on bag bulged with $1 million in cash from a welfare rip-off scheme. The loot was headed for Somalia, some of it to regions controlled by the al Shabaab terrorist group, and this shipment was part of $100 million sent over the past year alone.

This scheme was not uncovered by the New York Times, CNN, “Frontline” or any “investigative” journalist in the old-line establishment media. It came to light in “Millions of dollars in suitcases fly out of MSP, but why?” a story by Jeff Baillon of KMSP, a Fox News outlet in Minnesota and the subject of a Powerline blog by John Hinderaker on Monday.

Back on March 15, Fox 9 got a tip about a man leaving the country with $1 million in cash, but this was only part of the story. “Fox 9 learned that these cloak-and-dagger scenarios now happen almost weekly at MSP. The money is usually headed to the Middle East, Dubai and points beyond. Sources said last year alone, more than $100 million in cash left MSP in carry-on luggage.”

Glen Kearns, a former Seattle police detective formerly with the FBI’s joint terrorism task force, told Fox “it’s an outright crime, it’s unbelievable.” The operator was part of “Hawalas,” businesses that transport money to countries that have no legitimate banking system.

  12. What Is UC Irvine Doing About Pro-Palestinian Disruptions?
When fascist-style intimidation and bullying go untouched.
    May 16, 2018
    Gary Fouse

At UC Irvine, the week of April 30-May 3, we witnessed the annual shenanigans of the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and the Muslim Student Union (MSU), which once again featured a week of anti-Israel screeds and attempts at intimidation. It concluded on Thursday evening when pro-Palestinian hooligans disrupted a College Republican meeting featuring five Israel Defense Forces Reservists on Duty. It marked the third year in a row that such an event was disrupted. As usual, nobody was arrested, and the university is apparently taking the position that since the disruptors were not believed to be students, no action would be taken.

At this point, it is assumed that the disruptors were not even identified. It is ironic that these hooligans were apparently not students since SJP is on UCI probation for two years based on last year’s disruption of a pro-Israel event. How convenient.

There are many questions surrounding the disruption of May 3. For example, why did the campus police and dean of students, Rameen Talesh, who were present from the beginning, wait 5 minutes before ushering the disruptors out of the room even though the disturbance began with a man and woman shouting chants with a bullhorn? If the disruptors were not identified, why not? Just because they were not students is no reason not to identify people who come on campus and cause a ruckus, even if no arrests are made. Of course, if one uses the 2010 disruption of the Israeli ambassador’s speech by the so-called “Irvine 11” as a template, arrests could have been made, but it seems the Orange County DA will not prosecute for campus disruptions unless arrests are made, which was the case in 2010.

  13. “Go to Hell!”

Recently I explained how, by Muslims’ own (inadvertent) logic, various Koran verses stand to be banned on the basis that they defame and incite violence against non-Muslims. Two days later, the French newspaper Le Monde published a letter signed by some 300 French public figures across party lines, including former president Nicolas Sarkozy. In it, they “ask that the verses of the Qur’an calling for the killing and punishment of Jews, Christians and unbelievers be obsoleted by theological authorities.”

Titled “Manifesto Against the New Anti-Semitism,” the signed letter focuses especially on the rise of Muslim violence against France’s Jewish minority:

    https://pjmedia.com/homeland-security/go-to-hell-egypt-responds-to-french-call-to-revise-koran/

    • Koran 9:29:

“Fight those among the People of the Book [Christians and Jews] who do not believe in Allah nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden [i.e., embrace sharia law], and who do not embrace the religion of truth [Islam], until they pay the jizya [extortion money] with willing submissiveness and feel themselves utterly subdued.”

Dhimmi upon dhimmi was piled so high
They called it a Wonder to reach the sky
Was it Shatan on top making each one a spy
Or the lift from the bottom who never asked why?

    • “Go to Hell!” – Egypt Responds to French call to revise Koran.

This one little event is the iceberg’s tip, as Western Civilization finally comes to realize that Islam is instantly and violently hostile to anyone that remotely suggests even the slightest amendment or alteration to its orthodoxy.

This is an opening salvo in what will become (if Westerners have any brains – no longer a sure bet) a final showdown over who controls their own culture. That something so repulsive as sharia law has been allowed to spread and infect so deeply into the West is cause for strident alarm, yesterday.

Now comes successive Western demands (with increasing shrillness) to moderate and pacify the Koran’s obvious hate speech. These efforts will be futile in terms of registering any tectonic shift in the ummah, but they will serve to illuminate Western minds as Americans and Europeans slowly realize that they have experienced nothing less than an out-of-uniform military invasion.

All bloggers and conterjihad commentators would do well to keep this specific incident (and all further related ones) well-alive in the public eye. However uncharacteristic it is that this has started in France, the spark must be fanned into a roaring prairie fire.

Europe, and then America, must be set ablaze with rejection of the Koran and its coterie of doctrinal filth. That such an ideological abomination is permitted to shelter within America’s borders represents a collective slap-in-the-face to the Founding Fathers and a direct insult to all patriotic Americans.

  14. New Book ‘Judaism, Zionism and the Land of Israel’ Fills a Void
An antidote to the renewed assault on Jewish history.
    May 16, 2018
    Edwin Black

For decades, Rabbi Yotav Eliach, esteemed principal of Rambam Mesivta High School in Long Island, has accumulated his teachings, writings, and those of many other scholars and rabbinical authorities, tracking the history of Israel. His mission was not just to chronicle the dispossession and repossession of a people, as Walter Laqueur did in A History of Zionism, but to go beyond. Rabbi Eliach completes the circle and ties in the religious component— spiritual Judaism itself. The result is a massive and incisive tome, Judaism, Zionism and the Land of Israel. It is designed to bridge the intellectual space between Israel’s cultural, political, intellectual, diplomatic, juridical, and historical pillars. Skillfully and doggedly, Rabbi Eliach weaves in the Biblical and Talmudic quintessence that laces it all together.

The work spans the millennia between Abraham’s covenant with God right through the fiery twentieth century and into the modern, post-Oslo Accords era. In this compilation, God is an acknowledged factor as much as turning-point wars, crumbling international agreements, and fractious diplomacy. On an early page, Rabbi Eliach writes, “The Israelites’ relationship to Hashem was based on a covenant binding God and Israel through a series of obligations.” God is written about as a real and all permeating force, an ipso facto that functions as the alpha and omega of the story—dwelling above all events.

  17. Hamas: “When We Talk About ‘Peaceful Resistance, We Are Deceiving the Public.”

    Daniel Greenfield

The Hamas co-founder telling this to Al Jazeera reminds me of Ben Rhodes telling the New York Times that most reporters are ignorant patsies or PLO boss Abbas telling RT that the Palestinian Authority was just like Hamas. In all three cases, there’s an incestuous loop. A mastermind is telling a friendly media outlet the truth knowing that it won’t be reported anywhere that matters.

Al Jazeera is Qatar’s propaganda pro-terror outlet. But now that MEMRI made this public, expect the media to firmly ignore it and dismiss it as another conspiracy theory.

This issue has been raised in the past.

It’s especially relevant after Twitter went after some accounts critical of Islamic terror, including ex-Muslim cartoonist Bosch Fawstin, and an Israeli diplomat in Brazil, but continues to host Hamas.

Now Ashley Rae Goldenberg at MRC has somewhat of an answer from Twitter.

  19. California Hits High in Social Diseases and Social Justice
    May 16, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

California is becoming a one-party STD state.

As recently as 2010, California’s governor, lieutenant governor, and state treasurer were all Republicans. Now Democrats hold every statewide elected office. In 2010 there were 19 Republican U.S. House members in the state. Now there are 14. In 2010 there were 15 Republicans in the State Senate and 32 in the State Assembly. Those numbers are now down to 13 and 25. The losing Republican presidential nominees each won 37 percent of the popular vote in California, in 2008 and 2012. The winning Republican presidential nominee took 31 percent of the vote in California in 2016.

Just 28 percent of adults approve of Trump’s job performance, according to a December survey by the Public Policy Institute of California. Just 30 percent told pollsters at the University of California, Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies they approve of Trump.

Most ominously for Republicans, the state’s top-two primary system, which places the top two finishers in a nonpartisan primary on the ballot in the general election, is very likely to produce a November ballot with no Republicans running for the top two positions, governor and U.S. senator.

    Utopia is here.

  20. Free Syrian Army Commander Gave Obama Supplies to Al Qaeda
    May 16, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

When John Kerry, John Brennan and the rest of the Obama gang do their tour of media green rooms and late lunches offering reproving quotes about Trump’s foreign policy, here’s a reminder of what they oversaw.

U.S. military equipment and ammunition, sent to Syria as part of a failed Obama administration plan to find and arm moderate forces to defeat ISIS, were instead simply handed over to an Al Qaeda group, according to the man who said he himself brokered the deal.

“I communicated with Al Qaeda’s branch, Al Nusra, to protect and safely escort me and my soldiers for two hours from North Aleppo to West Aleppo,” Maj. Anas Ibrahim Obaid, better known on the battlefield as Abu Zayd, told Fox News from his home in the western Aleppo area. “In exchange, I gave them five pickup trucks and ammunition.”

This was a very well thought out program. Of course.

  21. Richard: This tells the ultimate goal of the gun control advocats, and is why the Dems are going to lose in November.

Sheriff Israel needs money to hire more deputies to confiscate guns

Broward Sheriff Scott Israel is seeking 49 new positions in his proposed budget for next year, saying more than half of the extra employees are needed to carry out new responsibilities to take guns away from people who are a danger to themselves or others.

The state passed a so-called “red flag” law in response to massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. Since March, the Sheriff’s Office has had 47 cases submitted, with 22 cases so far where the removal of guns was approved. A few cases have been declined and the rest are still being investigated, officials said.

“Because of the horrific tragedy in Parkland, our world in Broward County and the United States of America has basically changed,” Israel said. “Risk protection orders, RPOs if you will, is the new norm. Basically what these are are orders that allow police to seize firearms from people that we believe are a danger to themselves, mentally ill, and it expands our ability to make Broward County safe.”

    • Broward Sheriff Scott Israel is seeking 49 new positions in his proposed budget for next year, saying more than half of the extra employees are needed to carry out new responsibilities to take guns away from people who are a danger to themselves or others.

Too bad he’s probably not talking about a comprehensive program to confiscate all firearms from convicted felons. Such a nation-wide drive could produce dramatic reductions regarding guns used in the commission of crimes and violence in general.

Now, why does that line, “a danger to themselves or others” fill me with such trepidation? It’s like hearing, “We’re from the government and we’re here to help!” You know damn well it’s time to head for the hills.

  22. Sweden in Free Fall

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12295/sweden-free-fall

In 2017, a Swedish police report, “Utsatta områden 2017”, (“Vulnerable Areas 2017”, commonly known as “no-go zones” or lawless areas) showed that there are 61 such areas in Sweden. They encompass 200 criminal networks, consisting of an estimated 5,000 criminals. Twenty-three of those areas were especially critical: children as young as 10 had been involved in serious crimes there, including ones involving weapons and drugs. Most of the inhabitants were non-Western, mainly Muslim, immigrants.

A new report “The Relationship with the Judiciary in Socially Vulnerable Areas” from BRÅ (Brottsförebyggande Rådet), the Swedish Crime Prevention Council, shows that more than half of the inhabitants of these areas — around 500,000 people — think that criminals affect people in the areas by scaring people from appearing as witnesses, from calling the police, from moving freely, and from intervening when witnessing vandalism. Residents fear repercussions from the local criminals, not only against themselves but also against family members.

What is it with NBC News? If you thought they’d hit rock bottom, you may have to revisit the question with a look at national reporter Heidi Przybyla’s piece on the Gatestone Institute last month: “John Bolton presided over anti-Muslim think tank.”

This is an old-fashioned hit piece. The headline reveals the true object of the hit. John Bolton drives the left absolutely nuts. He has their number and he can call them out with great skill. This they cannot abide. Bolton was the target of Pryzbyla’s piece; Gatestone was just the club that she took to hand.

Nina Rosenwald is the founder and president of Gatestone. At the invitation of Lawrence Kadish, John and I spoke to a group including Nina in New York in 2005. She is a formidable force in her own right and one of the nicest people with whom I have had the good fortune to cross paths as a result of my work for Power Line. Meeting her was a great kick.

Since its founding, Nina has made Gatestone a go-to source of news and analysis from reporters and knowledgeable observers such as Khaled Abu Toameh, Bruce Bawer, Soeren Kern, Douglas Murray, Richard Kemp, Guy Milliere, Alan Dershowitz, and many others. We feature their work almost every day in our Picks here. It is great stuff.

  24. As Swedes Drawn to Honest Foreign Coverage of Their Own Country, MSM Slams ‘Nasty’ Immigration Stories (breitbart, May 16, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/05/16/journo-slams-nasty-danish-media-populist-voters-shown-distrust-msm/

“The deputy editor of Sweden’s Expressen slammed Danish media as “nasty” for being more open about mass migration, complaining that many voters, especially populist supporters, were losing faith in the mainstream media.

In an editorial for Expressen, Karin Olsson complained that voters for the populist anti-mass migration Sweden Democrats were distrustful of Swedish media and that they would likely support the “nasty” Danish media who she explains have fewer “limits” when talking about mass migration and Islam.

In her piece, Olsson cited a survey conducted by the Institute for Media Studies which showed that only 63 per cent of SD voters trusted the reliability of the Swedish mainstream media.

The survey also showed that among the general public, 68 per cent of Swedes believed that the political bias of journalists has an effect on the stories they write. For SD supporters, the number was even greater at 82 per cent.

Mass migration is one area in particular where Swedes have issues trusting the mainstream media with just 29 per cent saying they trust the media’s take on the subject while 39 per cent said they did not but that number reached a massive 75 per cent distrust among SD voters.

According to a poll conducted by polling firm Demoskop last month, the number one concern for Swedish voters going into the national election later this year is immigration.

The Sweden Democrats have been the most hardline on mass migration of any Swedish political party with more and more voters, particularly young voters, agreeing with the SD on immigrant policy.

Last week following a leaders debate on four subjects, including immigration, SD leader Jimmie Åkesson polled first on the topic of immigration and on law and order, winning the overall debate.

“It is serious that the supporters of such a large party do not trust mainstream media in important social issues,” Olsson wrote and blamed the SD’s “strategy of profiling against an alleged elite who engage in ‘fake news’”.

The subject of fake news has become a hot-button issue in Sweden ahead of this year’s national elections with the Swedish government granting mainstream media outlets £1.2 million to fund projects to fight “fake news” on social media.”

    • “The deputy editor of Sweden’s Expressen slammed Danish media as “nasty” for being more open about mass migration, complaining that many voters, especially populist supporters, were losing faith in the mainstream media.

Nasty is as nasty does. This entire scene involves journalistic coverage of one of the most secretive, violent, seditious, and extra-legal groups in all history. And things are not supposed to get “nasty”? Was early coverage of the Mafia and la Cosa Nostra all hearts and flowers?

Oh, silly me, I forget that Karin Olsson would rather be nice:

  25. Richard: First the KC Star is a left wing paper, Second the prosecutor is a Soros owned puppet, Third the “victim” says she isn’t sure if the video was really taken or if she had a dream where a video was taken. Missouri: Prosecutor abruptly drops case against Gov. Eric Greitens
    Kansas City Star

[Ed. – Lawmakers say the impeachment trial is still on. This is the ugly case in which Greitens (R) is said to have gotten humiliating video of a woman he had an affair with, as an “insurance policy” against later revelations. Ugh and gack all around.]

In a stunning development, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner on Monday dropped her prosecution of Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens in the face of the defense team’s plan to call her as a witness.

Yet Republican legislative leaders said later that evening that Gardner’s decision would have no impact whatsoever on whether the Missouri General Assembly moves forward with impeachment, a process set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday. …

Scott Rosenblum, a member of Greitens’ team, said the judge’s decision [to allow the Greitens defense to call her as a witness – Ed.] was based on the probability that Gardner had knowledge of perjury committed by a private investigator hired by her office.

“She made herself a witness to the perjury that her investigator created throughout this case and his misconduct. She was the only witness,” Rosenblum said.

    https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/05/15/missouri-prosecutor-abruptly-drops-case-against-gov-eric-greitens/

    • Remember what I said about the KC Star being a left wing rag.

The Soros owned critter dropping the case doesn’t surprise me, there is a lot more wrong with the case besides the “victim” saying the who thing could be a dream. The Chief investigator is a PI from Illinois with a very shady reputation, he was hired as great expense for the case instead of using the ST. Louis Prosecuting Attorny’s staff investigators or the ST. Louis police department, or the St. Louis County Sheriffs Office. Since St. Louis City and Country are controlled and run by Democrats I find the use of an outside investigator very suspicious.

  26. New Details, Questions Emerge About How Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Is Getting Paid

As Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti has racked up some $185 million in free media coverage by CNN and MSNBC and his defense of Daniels has increasingly looked more like a politically motivated campaign against Trump and his associates, more people have begun to ask more questions about who exactly is paying for Avenatti. Last week, Clinton insider Mark Penn called out Avennati over his need to fully disclose his funding sources; now, the Associated Press is raising similar questions.

In response to mounting pressure for full disclosure after Penn’s op-ed, Avenatti has bristled over questions about his source of funding, pointing to a crowdfunding site through which Daniels has now raised about a half-million dollars as the way he will be reimbursed. That crowdfunding site, says Avenatti, is proof that he’s not being bankrolled by Trump’s political opponents.

Richard: $490 thousand where the average donation is $34 is a lot of people donating, that idea is as troublesome as the idea that a few people are donating large sums. Of course they could be a few people donating small amounts a lot of times. Unlikely but possible. What makes me suspicious is the anonymous donations, why are the people donating afraid to have their names made public? It isn’t as if the Repubs and Conservatives have a history of violence towards their political enemies.

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The FBI is pursuing 1,000 investigations into suspected “lone wolf” militants and another 1,000 into “domestic terrorists,” FBI director Christopher Wray told a congressional committee on Wednesday.

At a Senate Appropriations Committee subcommittee hearing, Wray said lone wolf terrorists – whom another law enforcement official described as individuals often radicalized over the internet or other social media – are the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s “highest counterterrorism priority at the moment.”

Wray said the FBI has about 1,000 investigations into suspected lone wolves in all 50 states, “and that’s not even counting the al-Qaeda investigations, the traditional ISIS investigations, the domestic terrorism investigations …”

“And what makes it so hard is that there are not many dots to connect with some of these people,” he said. “They pick soft targets, they use easy-to-use weapons; you know, IEDs (improvised explosive devices), cars, knives, guns.”

Wray said the FBI is “trying to get better at looking for red flags” that could signal when people becoming radicalized might start to consider taking action.

In addition, Wray said, the FBI is pursuing another 1,000 investigations into “domestic terrorists.”

The second law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said right-wing extremists, violent animal rights and anti-abortion extremists, and African-American or left-wing militants fall into this category.

This official said, there is an “overlap” in FBI statistics on the number of lone wolf investigations and investigations related to the Islamic State movement.

Patrick Leahy, a senior Democratic member of the appropriations committee, said that as part of the annual budget request the FBI had presented, President Donald Trump’s administration reduced the Bureau budget by 5 percent, rescinded planned allocations of $148 million in salaries and expenses, and dropped or at least postponed plans for a new FBI headquarters.”

    • How much for Operation Trump agents?

“UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – Around 60 babies a day are being born in vast refugee camps in Bangladesh, sheltering hundreds of thousands of mainly Rohingya Muslims who have fled Myanmar, the United Nations children’s agency UNICEF said on Wednesday.

Nearly 700,000 Rohingya fled to Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh in the past nine months after a Myanmar military crackdown that the United Nations, United States and Britain have denounced as ethnic cleansing. Myanmar has denied that any ethnic cleansing occurred.

UNICEF said in a statement that since the crisis began more than 16,000 babies had been born in the camps, of which only about 3,000 were delivered in health facilities.

“Around 60 babies a day are taking their first breath in appalling conditions, away from home, to mothers who have survived displacement, violence, trauma and, at times, rape,” said Edouard Beigbeder, UNICEF’s Representative in Bangladesh.

U.N. Security Council envoys visited the refugee camps in April.

“It is impossible to know the true number of babies who have been or will be born as a result of sexual violence,” Beigbeder said. “It is vital that each and every new and expectant mother and every new-born receive all the help and support they need.”…”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Salman Badeni was involved in the killing of more than 100 members of the Hazara community and policemen.

The IBO was conducted in the Killi Almas area of Quetta following information about the presence of terrorists there, said the ISPR.
Two would-be suicide bombers and “a high-value target Salman Badeni, the LeJ head of Balochistan” were killed in the IBO, said the military’s media wing.

“Three members of the Islamic Central Council of Switzerland (ISSC) who are facing trial on charges of having produced illegal propaganda for the terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda refused to answer questions in the Federal Criminal Court on Wednesday.

In a case that has raised concerns about possible infringements on journalistic practice, the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland (OAG) says the trio broke Swiss laws that forbid support for groups such as Al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) by interviewing and publishing online an interview with Saudi cleric Abdullah al-Muhaysini carried out in Syria in 2015.

While interviewing radical Islamicists is not illegal, prosecutors say Naim Cherni, a young filmmaker from Bern and head of the ISSC’s cultural production unit, together with the organisation’s media spokesperson Abdel Azziz Qaasim Illi and ISSC president Nicolas Blancho contravened journalistic principles in the publication of Cherni’s interview with al-Muhaysini.

Prosecutors say that by giving the Saudi cleric 35 minutes of air time and only giving two minutes to the interviewer, the makers of the video had produced propaganda for Al-Qaeda.

The OAG says the makers of the video footage which was confiscated by prosecutors in 2015 gave al-Muhaysini a “prominent, multilingual and multimedia platform” to promote himself and the ideology of Al-Qaeda.

The videos of the interview – which feature al-Muhaysini calling on young Muslims in Europe to join the jihad in Syria, but not with ISIS – helped promote jihadism, the OAG argues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met Thursday with Syria’s Bashar al-Assad in the city of Sotchi in southern Russia, the Kremlin said.

“There were detailed discussions” between the two leaders, who last met in December at a Russian military air base in the Syria’s coastal province of Latakia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

Putin, Assad discuss further moves towards political settlement in Syria

SOCHI, May 17. /TASS/. Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Bashar al-Assad of Syria, who held talks in Sochi on Thursday, pointed out the importance of creating further conditions for resumption of a full-fledged process of political settlement in Syria, the Kremlin’s Acting Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters upon completion of the meeting.

“The talks were quite detailed,” he said. “President [Putin] pointed out the Syrian Armed Forces’ considerable achievements in struggle with terrorist units and congratulated Assad on this occasion.”

“The two presidents pointed out the importance of setting up more conditions that would facilitate the resumption of a full-fledged political process and they also noted success of the Astana process, as well as of the Congress of the Syrian People, which had been held in Sochi,” Peskov said. “Today’s talks focused on further joint steps.”

Assad assured Russian President Vladimir Putin that Damascus enthusiastically supports a political process in the republic with a parallel fight against terrorism.

“Stability is growing, and all this opens the door to a political process that we started some time ago,” he said at talks with the Russian leader on Thursday. “I have always said, and I want to reiterate that we have always enthusiastically supported a political process that should proceed hand-in-hand with fight against terrorism,” the Syrian leader said.

Putin believes time has come for rebuilding the Syrian economy and suggested Syrian President Bashar Assad to discuss these plans.

“Of course, after this military success additional conditions have been created to restart a full-format political process,” he said at talks with Assad.

According to Putin, “much has already been done within the Astana process. Much has also been done within the framework of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress held in Sochi,” he said. “Now, we can make next moves jointly with you. And of course, the next task is economic recovery and humanitarian assistance to the people who found themselves in a difficult situation,” the Russian president said.
