  1. Supporters of Iran Deal Used Government to Spy on Members of Congress
    May 8, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The Iran Deal echo chamber is passing around suspect claims about being spied on. “Opponents of Iran Deal Hired Investigators to Dig Up Dirt on Obama Aide,” is the New York Times headline.

On social media, the echo chamber is brimming with whiny victimhood. Its key members are throwing around accusations like, “thuggish”.

    Okay.

Meanwhile Iran Deal supporters spied on members of Congress. Here’s how it spun the story.

  2. Attempted Assassination Of Iranian Dissident In New York
If confirmed, this is the first time since 1981 that the Iranian regime has targeted a defector on U.S. soil.

Iranian dissident Mansoor Osanloo, the exiled former head of the bus driver’s union in Tehran, was savagely attacked on Tuesday, May 1, while traveling on a PATH train into New York City, and left for dead.

Multiple assailants sprayed him with a corrosive chemical, then clubbed him in the back of the neck with what appears to have been a tire iron. He lay in a coma for several days and required 17 stitches in his neck.

I spoke with Osanloo on Monday, not long after he awoke from a coma.

  3. Trump announces US will exit nuclear accord with Iran

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced Tuesday the U.S. will pull out of the landmark nuclear accord with Iran, declaring he was making the world safer but dealing a profound blow to allies and deepening the president’s isolation on the world stage.

“The United States does not make empty threats,” he said in a televised address from the White House.

Trump said the 2015 agreement, which included Germany, France and Britain, was a “horrible one-sided deal that should never ever have been made.” He added that the United States “will be instituting the highest level of economic sanction.”

  4. Israel goes on high alert over Syria as Trump quits Iran deal

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israel has instructed local authorities in the Israeli-held Golan Heights to “unlock and ready (bomb) shelters” after identifying what the military described on Tuesday as “irregular activity of Iranian forces in Syria”.

The announcement came minutes before U.S. President Donald Trump declared he was withdrawing from the 2015 international nuclear deal with Iran, a move that has stirred concern about a possible regional flare-up.

Israeli media said the order to prepare bomb shelters was unprecedented during Syria’s seven-year-old civil war, in which Israel is formally neutral, though it has carried out cross-border strikes at suspected deployments by Iranian forces supporting Damascus and arms transfers to Hezbollah guerrillas.

    • Iran president warns of ‘problems’ as Trump decision looms

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s president on Tuesday warned the country could face “some problems,” just hours before President Donald Trump was to announce whether he is pulling America out of the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.

Without directly naming Trump, Hassan Rouhani’s remarks at a petroleum conference in Tehran represented the first official Iranian comment on the U.S. president’s overnight tweet that he’d make an announcement on the deal Tuesday.

“It is possible that we will face some problems for two or three months, but we will pass through this,” Rouhani said.

    • Fateful days: Iran nuclear deal, US embassy move, Gaza march

The Middle East is bracing for milestone events packed into one week that could reverberate in unforeseen ways and change the trajectory of a region shaped by growing conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia, leaders of the Shiite and Sunni Muslim camps.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump announced the U.S. is withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal. Early next week, the U.S. will move its embassy in Israel to contested Jerusalem, provoking Palestinians at a time when many thousands plan to march from blockaded Gaza to Israel’s border — and perhaps overrun it.

In November last year, Alnoldy was reported by his neighbors who accused him of insulting Islam and spreading hate speech on Facebook.

“A Libyan military commander says Islamic militants attacked a checkpoint and opened fire on civilians in two separate incidents in the central city of Sirte, leaving five people dead.

Ali al-Magrahi, head of the so-called Greater Sirte Operation Room affiliated with the self-styled Libya National Army, tells The Associated Press the first attack took place Tuesday when a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into an army checkpoint . Three were killed in the attack.

Al-Maghri says security forces uncovered two other suicide car bombers. Both fled before detonating their explosives but one opening fire on two civilians, killing them on the spot.

    He provided no further details.

The attack on Sirte, Libya’s onetime Islamic State group stronghold, comes shortly after last week’s attack by which left 14 dead.”

The corporal punishment would consist of a number of lashes which would increase depending on the severity of the crime, or if it was a repeat offense. Carlingford branch President George Popowski proposes 10 lashes for petty theft, 1,000 lashes for stealing a car, which would be doubled if the vehicle was damaged, 5,000 lashers for assaulting a police officer and up to 20,000 lashes for those convicted of murder, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

    • Idiots! While it might seem appropriate, it will be distorted by politics and would finish up as a sharia analogue just ready for the Islamic state. Proper sentencing, no leftist psychiatric rubbish, hard gaols and genuine hard labour with the aim being not rehabilitation, but removal from society is the only WTG. In addition removal and separation of muslims from other prisoners and further separation of muslims into criminal and jihadist gaols would be advisable as well as NO halal food, no prayer mats and no IT or TV. Violent crime deserves hard time,

  8. Turkey’s top Islamic scholar gives green light to bribe payments
One of Turkey’s leading scholars of Islamic jurisprudence, in a column he penned for a pro-government daily, said that bribe payments are religiously permissible.

Hayrettin Karaman, in his column in Yeni ?afak daily on Sunday, said bribery is permissible for those giving it, while forbidden for those receiving it.

Citing the work of Professor Mustafa ?elebî’ titled ‘’Ta’lihu’l-Ahkâm’’ in his argument, Karaman said:

‘’If the amir, governor or sultan does not sign your documents with the bribe you have paid, granting you your wish, or implementing an order, and you don’t die in one week or 24 hours and [consequently] lose a legitimate benefit and you can no longer take advantage of, then Islamic jurisprudence deems this as a necessity and says that says you can pay a bribe.’’

Only 18 percent of native Flemish Belgians consider Muslim values to be compatible with their way of life, according a survey on integration released Tuesday.

The study — commissioned by Flemish politician Liesbeth Homans, a member of Belgium’s largest party, the right-wing New Flemish Alliance (N-VA), and a Flemish vice minister-president — surveyed close to 4,500 Flemish and Brussels residents with Belgian, Turkish, Moroccan, Polish, Romanian and Congolese backgrounds.

    • Among Belgians with a Moroccan background, 60 percent said they thought Muslims adapt well to Western life

Yes, they’re adapting remarkable well to “Western life”, just not by standard common to Europe or America.

Of course, for the Belgian Moros, “adapting” consists of gaming all social benefits, conning any of the local (non-Muslim) women, destroying property, and generally making a supreme, often criminal, nuisance of themselves.

In that respect, they’ve adapted fabulously!

  10. ‘Islam is the problem!’ French mayor says government plan to tackle poverty ignores root of crisis

A government blueprint for addressing poverty, unemployment and crime in France’s poorest, high-immigration suburbs ignores Islam’s role in the growing social crisis, a controversial mayor has said.
Robert Menard, mayor of the southern town of Béziers and an ally of Marine Le Pen’s anti-immigration and Euroskeptic National Front party, said on Friday that a government initiative aimed at alleviating France’s urban poverty failed to identify the roots of the problem. A video with a part of his appearance on a show, on France’s LCI channel, has been published online.

  14. The Western media have ignored the fate of the Kurds, the people who defeated ISIS for us.

UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson tweeted, “Turkey is right to want to keep its borders secure”. The West gave the Turks a green light to massacre the Kurds.

The Kurds today, like the Czechs in 1938, were sacrificed in vain. The West has betrayed the Kurds three times in the last three years. They were our ideal allies. They opened their cities, such as Erbil, to tens of thousands of Iraqi Christians expelled by ISIS from Mosul. Iraqi Kurdistan is today the only place in the Middle East, along with the State of Israel, that harbors and protects all religions and minorities.

A new “Munich Syndrome” is now looming over the West. The Kurds, if they did not deserve a state, were at least worthy of our protection, especially after helping us to stop those who slit our throats on the boulevards of Paris.

  18. In our continuing coverage of the UK’s healthcare system screwing over the kids, I give you this little gal’s tale. This British lass has a deformity which makes one of her legs much shorter than the other.

She went to the NHS to have them fix her. They wanted to chop the leg off:

A schoolgirl with one leg shorter than the other has been told by the NHS her only option is amputation.

However, a leading US surgeon claims UK doctors have the training – but not the confidence – to save her limb by lengthening it, and that the NHS lacks the highly specialist rehabilitation services she needs after surgery.

Dr Dror Paley has told the parents of seven-year-old Kyra Warrell, who was born with a rare condition affecting her thigh bone, that her treatment is straightforward.

‘She wouldn’t even have a limp once her leg-lengthening surgeries are complete.’

Seems it’s getting harder every day to get a leg up in the UK.

The NHS wants to cleave off the girl’s drumstick, give her a peg leg, and wheel her out the door. Nevermind any of the treatments available which would allow the little lady to live a normal life. After all, the NHS has a backlog of other victims patients they need to mutilate treat. The magic of universal healthcare, folks.

  21. Address by Minister Freeland to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Council of Foreign Ministers

    May 5, 2018 – Dhaka, Bangladesh

Check against delivery. This speech has been translated in accordance with the Government of Canada’s official languages policy and edited for posting and distribution in accordance with its communications policy.

    Assalam Aleikum.

Thank you to Her Excellency Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and my friend, Foreign Minister [Abul Hassan Mahmood] Ali.

It is a great honour for me to join you at this 45th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation [OIC].

I am particularly grateful to the OIC, and to Secretary General Dr. [Yousef bin Ahmad] Al-Othaimeen, for this opportunity to speak at this session as a non-member minister.

As members of the OIC, you come from different backgrounds, from different realities, and you face different issues as well. However, your presence within the OIC, cemented by a strong bond that unites you, is remarkable. The OIC is an organization that evolves over time, and Canada is proud to be with you, and to stand by your side.

Canada deeply values its relationships with the various countries and diverse peoples represented in the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

Canada is home to more than one million Muslims of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

Interestingly, the first mosque in Canada, the Al Rashid Mosque, was built in 1938 in Edmonton, Alberta, not far from my birthplace of Peace River.

Since the arrival of the first Muslims in Canada, the Muslim community has contributed greatly to Canadian society.

Two of my fellow Cabinet ministers are Muslim: Ahmed Hussen, our Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, and Maryam Monsef, our Minister of Status of Women. Both came to Canada as refugees.

Ahmed was the first refugee to become minister responsible for refugees, and Maryam was the first Muslim Cabinet minister in Canadian history.

That a Muslim who fled Somalia in his teens could become the minister in charge of the department that oversees citizenship and immigration in Canada sends a powerful and concrete message about Canada’s openness to people of the Muslim faith.

Since our government was elected in 2015, we have welcomed close to 50,000 Syrian refugees.

While this does not come close to the numbers that Syria’s neighbours and some European countries have taken in, Canadians feel proud of their contribution, and we know there is a bright future ahead for these new Canadians.

That being said, I should also acknowledge that Canada is far from perfect.

Discrimination and hatred still exist in our society.

Last year’s terrible attack in a mosque in the city of Québec is a serious and tragic reminder of this reality.

In the wake of that terrible incident, our government supported a motion, led by my colleague, [Member of Parliament] Iqra Khalid, condemning Islamophobia and committing Parliament to undertake a study, by parliamentary committee, to assess how Canada can best combat racism and religious discrimination.

Friends of the Muslim faith: our government, and our country, stand with you.

That brings me to the plight of the Rohingya.

I agree with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, who has described the campaign against the Rohingya as a “textbook case of ethnic cleansing” and who has stated that he “has strong suspicions that acts of genocide may have taken place in Rakhine State since August.”

As an international community we must pledge to hold the perpetrators of these crimes to account.

We must work to establish a clear pathway towards accountability for the atrocities and human rights violations committed in Rakhine state, and coordinate efforts to build lasting peace in Myanmar. We hope OIC members will continue to demonstrate clear leadership on this and we hope to work closely with you.

We support the ongoing work of the UN Human Rights Council’s Fact-finding Mission on Myanmar, which will report back to the Council this September.

Canada has already sanctioned Major General Maung Maung Soe under Canada’s Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act for his role in the oppression, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity against the Rohingya minority in Myanmar.

It is also paramount that the international community come together to support urgent humanitarian efforts.

On behalf of my government, of all Canadians, and particularly of the Rohingya community in Canada, I want to take this opportunity to commend Bangladesh and the host communities that many of us visited yesterday for opening their arms to the hundreds of thousands of Rohingya seeking refuge, and for the delivery of life-saving assistance.

Yesterday, in the camps, we heard the story of a child who had been killed that very day in a landslide that left two other children gravely injured.

This tragic event highlights the importance of efforts to accommodate the most vulnerable who face grave and immediate danger from landslides and flooding during monsoon season.

Over the past six months, Canada’s Special Envoy to Myanmar—my friend, the Honourable Bob Rae—has engaged in extensive research, travel and meetings with key interlocutors to assess the violent events that have occurred since last August and that have led so many to flee.

We are currently assessing the recommendations Mr. Rae made in his report, and will soon outline the further measures Canada intends to take to help meet the needs of the Rohingya and those working to assist them.

History tells us what happens when we don’t take a stand against the persecution of ethnic and religious minorities. In the first half of the 20th century, we allowed hatred and anti-Semitism to fester in Europe, which led to the Holocaust. In Africa, 24 years ago, this evil produced the Rwandan genocide.

It is imperative that you, the Muslim-majority countries gathered here today, take concrete action. Your countries can band together. You can be at the forefront of those countries who say that those who incite hate, those who persecute minorities and fan the flames of discrimination—those who commit crimes against humanity—will be held to account within the rule of law.

Canada will be there to support you.

Indeed, we believe it is essential that countries home to a Muslim minority, like mine, stand up for this terribly persecuted Muslim minority.

As Mr. Rae wrote in his report: “The lesson of history is that genocide is not an event like a bolt of lightning. It is a process, one that starts with hate speech and the politics of exclusion, then moves to legal discrimination, then the policies of removal and finally to a sustained drive to physical extermination.”

We can, and must, act to protect the Rohingya who are facing this very fate.

Hannah Arendt, the renowned political philosopher, reflected extensively on the roots of genocide. Stripped of her citizenship by the Nazis, she wrote that the deprivation of citizenship should be classified as a crime against humanity. Expatriation is a terrible thing, she argued, because it places its subjects beyond the protection of law.

Indeed, that is exactly what has happened to the Rohingya.

Muslims, including Rohingya Muslims, were once well integrated into the social fabric of Myanmar.

In fact, Alia Hogben, the Executive Director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women, was born in what was then known as Burma. Her uncle was a minister in Aung San’s Cabinet, as she movingly recounted in a recent meeting.

    Today, things are very different.

Yesterday, in the camps, refugees described the brutality of the expatriation and dehumanization of the Rohingya.

We heard of families ripped apart, of husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, cousins, friends and neighbours who have not seen each other in years.

Most chillingly of all, we heard harrowing accounts of the use of rape as a weapon. Women told us that their toilets were destroyed, forcing them to use outdoor latrines where they would be an easier target for their attackers. They described covering their faces in mud to be less attractive as prey.

We call on the Security Council to systematically incorporate sexual violence as a specific designation criterion in UN sanctions regimes.

Although the exodus of Rohingya has slowed, many are still being forced to flee every day.

The stories of people who had arrived in the last two weeks are much the same as those who have arrived since August.

The atrocities must end. Justice must be done. And it depends on us.

    Thank you.

    • It is amazing that ideological arrogance totally overwhelms any capacity for a realization of blatant hypocrisy and its accompanying shame. The irony here is that both of Islam’s bastard children: communism and Nazism, had the same problem but neither applied the “black hole” clause(kill apostates) and hence failed as states. Canada really needs someone to do a Trump and soon.

  22. Germany Sees 1,075 Islamophobic Crimes in 2017 (tasnimnews, May 8, 2018)
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2018/05/08/1720646/germany-sees-1-075-islamophobic-crimes-in-2017

“TEHRAN (Tasnim) – German police recorded 1,075 Islamophobic crimes in 2017, according to new government figures announced on Tuesday.

Far-right extremists or groups carried out some 994 attacks against Muslims and mosques, which made up 92.5 percent of all Islamophobic crimes, the report by the Interior Ministry said.

Last January, police began registering Islamophobic crimes under a special category, after calls by the country’s Muslim community to take more serious measures against the growing number of anti-Muslim hate crimes, Anadolu Agency reported.

Germany, a country of 81.8 million people, has the second largest Muslim population in Western Europe after France.

Among the country’s nearly 4.7 million Muslims, 3 million are of Turkish origin. Many of them are second or third-generations of Turkish families who migrated to Germany in the 1960s.

The EU’s largest economy has witnessed growing Islamophobia and hatred of migrants in recent years triggered by propaganda from far-right and populist parties, which have exploited fears over the refugee crisis and terrorism.”

    • I would love to see the REAL split on these islamophobic “crimes” and then match them to unnamed crimes vs whites. It looks like Germany is fast approaching the UK in its lunatic approach to law and order. BTW 2nd and 3rd generation muslims are often far more likely to be warped into jihadists as they have never lived in a muslim hellhole(and thus have no idea of how well off they are) and many attend madrassas run by proIS teachers from early childhood.

    • If the idea is to prevent iran from becoming nuclear,WHY has Britain been educating their post graduates on how to make one, this has been going on for years.

  24. Outsourcing honour, offshoring duty: Top Emirati air force commander revealed as US ‘mercenary’ (alaraby, May 8, 2018)
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2018/5/8/top-emirati-air-force-commander-revealed-as-american-mercenary

“A top commander in the Emirati army, currently fighting a devastating war in Yemen, has been revealed to be none other than Stephen Toumajan, a former US military officer .

Although Toumajan left the US army with the rank of lieutenant colonel, the Emiratis appear to have bestowed on him the rank of major general.

The revelations came on Monday in an explosive report by BuzzFeed that further corroborates reports the Emiratis are paying foreign contractors – essentially mercenaries – for combat operations from Yemen to Libya, though Toumajan denied he is involved in the war in Yemen.

According to the report, Toumajan, a colourful character, had run a breast enhancement business in Tennessee for a brief period before relocating to Abu Dhabi, where he quickly charmed Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, the de-facto ruler of the UAE.

The former special operations soldier would eventually help set up and lead the UAE’s Joint Aviation Command, which, according to experts on the UAE’s military, operates most of the nation’s combat helicopters. Since then, the body has gone on a shopping spree for equipment, the UAE being one of the world’s top buyers of arms…”

    • This is obviously an enemy outlet, but they’re accurate in describing the Gulf coalition forces. Who don’t have the population base and aren’t all that united anyway.

A hodgepodge of mercs with top-of-the-line equipment, they could do worse. Not many Americans, but the Westerners they do hire aren’t all that finicky about ROE or Geneva niceties. (We’re sending more legit forces to train and command, stop the wanton airstrikes.)

But it flatly contradicts Twitterati fantasy war coverage. They’re pushing a miracle GCC – Saudis, Emiratis, who knows – a stray Malaysian? – all Sunni Arabs fighting the “radicals”. Humanitarians, one and all.

These Saudis, UAE Little Sparta, the world’s best kept secret. Disguised, they’re winning on the ground in Iraq and Syria so we don’t have to worry. Israel is protected by the GCC!

Seriously seductive rubbish. Solidarity of monarchy, tribal brotherhood makes for the greatest unified fighting force.
      W h a t??
If not quite, Islam is the religion of peace, it’s MbS who’s rewritten the Islamic doctrine of war. And created a whole new Arab mind.

All possible, only possible, because of D.J. Trump.
Why are we pushing this pernicious fiction?

  25. Morocco’s BCIJ Dismantles 5-Member ISIS Cell in North Morocco, Spain (moroccoworldnews, May 8, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/05/245966/moroccos-bcij-dismantles-5-member-isis-cell-in-north-morocco-spain/

“Morocco’s Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) dismantled five-member active terrorist cell with alleged connections to Daesh, in collaboration with Spanish authorities on Tuesday.

A statement by Morocco’s Ministry of Interior said today that the five suspects are aged between 22 and 33 and active between Morocco and Spain. The BCIJ and Spanish authorities carried out the arrest operations in Fnideq, a city in northern Morocco and Bilbao in northern Spain.

The operation, which is part of the cooperation between the Moroccan and Spanish security services against terrorism, allowed for the arrest of three Moroccan members in Fnideq and two other individuals of Moroccan and Senegalese nationality in Bilbao, Spain.

Authorities seized knives, military uniforms, and electronic equipment, during the arrest operation.

According to initial investigations, the members of this cell were in contact with fighters from Syrian-Iraqi terrorist cells and were recruiting young people hoping to join the Daesh ranks in order to commit terrorist acts and undermine the security of the countries…”

  26. Morocco: A Breeding Ground for Spain’s Jihadi Terrorists? (moroccoworldnews, May 8, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/05/245988/morocco-a-breeding-ground-for-spains-jihadi-terrorists/

“According to a recent study released by the Madrid-based think tank, Elcano Royal Institute, nearly half of the jihadists arrested or killed in Spain in the past five years were Moroccan-born or of Moroccan descent.

The think tank, which analyses world events and trends from a Spanish, European, and global perspective, explored the prevalence of Moroccans suspected of engaging in Islamist terrorism activities in Spain between 2013 and 2017 in a study entitled “Moroccans and second generations among the jihadists in Spain.”

Elcano’s 2013-2017 database on jihadists in Spain reveals that approximately 46 percent of the 233 people arrested or killed for alleged involvement in terrorism related activities in Spain are Moroccan nationals. Those of Spanish nationality represent nearly 37.9 percent, while the rest are made up of 19 other nationalities.

The figures also show that six out of ten people in this study are second generation descendants of Moroccan immigrants, who were radicalized and recruited in the Iberian country by various Islamist cells or networks.

According to the report’s authors, Fernando Reinares and Carola Garcia-Calvo, the majority of those detained for suspected terrorism offences came from provinces and cities located in the northern Rif region of Morocco, and they blame the spread of jihadism on the Rif’s economic woes and substandard social conditions.

The study further notes that Spain’s north African enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla are the biggest hub of jihadist activity on Spanish territory. The cities are the birthplace of almost 73 percent of all detainees who were convicted of jihadist terrorism or who died in suicide attacks in Spain in the time period studied.

Further, the authors postulate that jihadists’ involvement in terrorist activities comes in response to spatial segregation and social marginality as well as, unemployment, illiteracy, delinquency, and the lack of urbanization, which denotes an effective absence of state authority in both cities.

In mainland Spain, Catalonia, especially Barcelona, was also recognized as a jihadi hotspot. Of all foreign jihadists arrested across Spain, 14.3 percent were detained within this metropolitan area.

The Spanish think thank recognizes that Catalonia is increasingly known as a centre of extremism, with nearly one third of ISIS-linked arrests in Spain made there. Furthermore, Spanish authorities identified the region as a “major Mediterranean centre of radical Islamist activity” and a “magnet for terrorist recruiters,” such as al Qaeda and Ansar al-Islam.

The study notes that four out of 10 jihadists sentenced or killed in Spain in the selected time period had resided in Catalonia.

    Extremism thwarted in the homeland

Although a large majority of the jihadists in Spain are currently Moroccans or second generation descendants of Moroccan immigrants, the authors indicate that it is easier for someone of Moroccan origin to engage in terrorist activities if he/she resides in Spain than in Morocco, due to Morocco’s relative success in containing its own domestic jihadism threat…”

  27. Mosque in Swedish town gets green light for calls to prayer (thelocal, May 8, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.se/20180508/mosque-in-swedish-town-gets-green-light-for-calls-to-prayer

“Fridays in the town of Växjö in southern Sweden will now feature a call to prayer from the local mosque.

The move comes after a controversial appeal from the local Muslim foundation.

“It feels good to know that you can rely on the society’s democratic process,” the group’s spokesperson, Avdi Islami, to Christian newspaper Dagen.

“Our intention has never been to disturb anyone,” he added.

But to ensure the the call to prayer, held once every Friday, doesn’t disturb any locals, it comes with a few rules.

For example, the sound cannot be louder than 110 decibels, as heard from outside, or 45 decibels as heard from inside.

This is not the first time a mosque in Sweden has been granted permission to have a call to prayer.

A mosque in the Stockholm suburb of Botkyrka holds a call to prayer on Fridays, and does so in line with the laws in the area.

Its permit has recently been renewed and the council said it has received no complaints. There is also a mosque in Karlskrona with calls to prayer.

But Växjö mosque has proven to be a hot topic across Sweden, not least with a general election looming. ..”

    • One good .50cal rifle and a nice vantage point. Having been subject to the nauseating garbage spewed forth from mosque speakers for far too long a period to remember it without disgust, IMHO shooting the speakers away should be mandatory in the west

    • health and safety rules demand that one wears ear defenders over 90 decibels, the swedes have swallowed another wog lie.

  28. Germany grilled on racism during scheduled UN review (DW, May 8, 2018)
    http://www.dw.com/en/germany-grilled-on-racism-during-scheduled-un-review/a-43706279

“Berlin admitted shortcoming in its efforts against racism, xenophobia, and discrimination during a UN human rights review. While many UN members raised issues with Germany, others praised it for taking in refugees.

UN member states posed critical questions to Germany about its policy against racism and discrimination on Tuesday, during a regularly scheduled review session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Despite Germany’s positive reputation on human rights, the country has faced a rise in ethnic-charged violence since the 2015 refugee crisis. Authorities recorded around 5,700 attacks on refugees and refugee centers in recent years. The German government has also warned of a rise in anti-Semitism…”

  29. Iran border guards blamed for ‘barbaric’ horse massacres (france24, May 8, 2018)
    http://observers.france24.com/en/20180508-horse-massacres-pressure-iran-border-guards

“Photos and videos of dozens of dead horses along the Iran-Iraq border have been causing widespread disgust in Iran since they started appearing on social media May 1. Pressure is building on the border guards to stop their practice of killing packhorses when they break up bands of smugglers. WARNING: This article contains graphic images.

The mountains on the border between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan have for years provided a living for Kurdish smugglers known as “kulbars”. They use packhorses to transport goods over the rugged terrain – often products like satellite dishes and alcohol that are banned in Iran.

The human-rights group Amnesty International says Iranian border guards illegally shoot and kill dozens of the smugglers every year.

When the border guards don’t catch the smugglers, they often kill their horses. Our Observers in western Iran say at least 90 horses have been killed in the last three months, in three different incidents. There were no reports of smugglers being killed over the period. The Iranian Border Guard Command has not commented publicly on the incidents…”

    • The killing of animals by muslims is close to a sport in many muslim hellholes/ Torturing cats and dogs and poisoning both and then watching them die (glass in sausage, strychnine in food etc.) is an accepted part of their culture and has been for millennia. Add this to their general barbarism vs humans and I see all of them as removable from this planet.

      • Another mark against their claim of being an. “Abrahamic religion”.
They don’t even abide by the spirit of the Noahide Laws. That makes them unfit to abide with us in our communities.
As if we needed more reasons!

Are they selling the horse meat to people?
