  1. Maine Democrats Quash Bill to Criminalize FGM

A bill to criminalize female genital mutilation (FGM) in Maine was squashed by House Democrats due to political correctness and misplaced concerns about Islamophobia.

The vote ironically came during the “Week of the Young Child.”

The bill would have held the mutilator, consenting parents and/or guardians and the transporters accountable for their part in perpetrating the FGM and exacted penalties from each of these parties.

Instead of passing the bill, all the House Democrats save for one, voted against the bill amid ad hominem cries against one of the bill’s sponsors, Republican legislator Rep. Heather Sirocki. Specifically, the Southern Poverty Law Center published emails between Sirocki and a Maine member of ACT for America, which the law center bogusly claims is “the largest anti-Muslim hate group in the United States.”

  2. Has Europe Even Tried to Fight Anti-Semitism?

On April 18, 2018, two young men, both wearing Jewish skullcaps, were insulted by a group of Muslims and whipped with a belt in a clearly anti-Semitic attack in Prenzlauer Berg, one Berlin’s most fashionable neighborhoods. The violent assault, partly filmed by one of the victims, sparked national indignation in Germany. One of the attackers can be heard on the video clearly shouting “Yahudi” (Arabic for “Jew”).

“It is intolerable for young men to be attacked here just because they are wearing a kippah,” said Heiko Maas, the German Foreign Minister. “Jews must never again feel threatened here. It is our responsibility to protect Jewish life.”

  3. Sweden’s Increasingly Lawless Immigration Policy?

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12200/sweden-immigration-policy

In 2015, when approximately 35,369 “unaccompanied minors” came to Sweden, 66% of them were from Afghanistan. This was a staggering number. (In 2016 and 2017, only 3,533 unaccompanied minors came to Sweden.) In 2015, the high proportion of Afghans among the unaccompanied minors made the migrant group “unaccompanied minors” virtually synonymous with Afghani youth. During the last ten years, approximately 33,000 unaccompanied minors arrived in Sweden from Afghanistan.

In mid-August 2017, some young Afghan migrants, many of whose asylum applications had been rejected, started a series of demonstrations in central parts of Stockholm. The young migrants were demanding that the Swedish Migration Agency stop deporting them back to Afghanistan. Behind the demonstrations was a network calling itself “Young in Sweden”. It did not take long before the Swedish media hailed the spokesperson of these demonstrations, Fatemeh Khavari, as a heroine. Six weeks after the demonstrations began, Aftonbladet, Sweden’s largest newspaper, wrote:

Taliban representatives made a statement saying that they will focus on “killing” and “capturing” US forces deployed in Afghanistan, PressTV reported on Wednesday.

The military offensive dubbed “Operation al-Khandagh” will be launched all over the Central Asian country and target US soldiers and their “supporters,” the group said.

The statement comes amid US President Donald Trump’s decision last year to increase the US military presence in the country…”

  5. Is the End Near? Judge Thinks Mueller Might Be Outside His Mandate

For the first time, a federal judge has begun to take a look at the scope of Robert Mueller’s authority as special counsel, and it might not be good news for liberals who want to see Mueller burn TrumpWorld to the ground. Because while U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson has yet to make any official rulings on Mueller’s witch hunt, her stated concerns in a hearing on Thursday gave many observers the impression that she – like many other Americans – believes that Mueller’s leash may need to be yanked back in a tad.

The hearing surrounded the criminal case against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, who is being charged with a variety of crimes that have absolutely nothing to do with Russia’s interference into the 2016 election. Manafort’s lawyers argue that while Mueller may have been given authority to investigate both the interference and any issues that “may arise” as a result of the inquiry, that authority was not actually Rod Rosenstein’s to give. They insist that Justice Department regulations require that a special counsel be held to a “specific factual matter” when carrying out an investigation; as such, Rosenstein’s blank canvas is too broad to legally stand.

“That’s a fair point,” Jackson said in court. “I don’t think that, as good as he is, that the deputy attorney general can see into the future.”

  6. Canadian Muslim charities lead fundraising for Toronto van attack victims (reuters, Apr 25, 2018)
    https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-canada-van-charities/canadian-muslim-charities-lead-fundraising-for-toronto-van-attack-victims-idUKKBN1HW295?rpc=401&

“TORONTO (Reuters) – Canadian Muslim charities are leading fundraising efforts to help victims of Monday’s van attack in Toronto and their families cope with medical and funeral costs, teaming up with Toronto’s city government.

Suspect Alek Minassian, 25, was charged with 10 counts of murder and 13 counts of attempted murder on Tuesday after he plowed a rental van into pedestrians on a crowded Toronto sidewalk.

Charity Canada Zakat had collected more than C$145,000 (about £80,839) as of late morning Wednesday through a GoFundMe campaign, while Islamic Relief Canada, which provides emergency relief following disasters, had received C$6,500 in donations on Launchgood.com, a Muslim fundraising platform.

These charities’ efforts were spurred by donor feedback from fundraising following a January 2017 shooting at a Quebec City mosque and are the most high profile since then.

“One donor said ‘if this ever happens again, you guys should be out there again, regardless of who the perpetrator is, who the victim is’,” said Zaid Al-Rawni, chief executive of Islamic Relief Canada. “That was the main driver for this.”

Human Concern International, another Muslim charity, and Islamic Circle of North America’s Canadian relief arm are also raising funds, according to their websites.

Most of the charities began the campaigns before the identity of the attacker was confirmed and said social media speculation that he was Muslim had little bearing on their decision to raise funds.

The police have not disclosed the suspect’s background, and the attack does not appear to have been motivated by religion. Minassian is an Armenian surname.

Al-Rawni said Islamic Relief Canada will funnel the money into a fund set up by the city of Toronto and Toronto Foundation, a philanthropic organisation. Toronto Mayor John Tory said on Tuesday the fund will ensure that donations can be distributed in an orderly fashion.

“My assumption is that because they realized they have the ear of generous community members in the Muslim community, they knew they’d be able to have an impact here,” said Julia Howell, a spokeswoman for the Toronto Foundation, adding Victim Services will be among the recipients.

Sana Khawaja, a spokeswoman for Canada Zakat, said the Canadian Muslim community needs to make it apparent how much service is a part of the faith. “We’re a strong population here, let’s do what we can.””

  7. SCOTLAND – Karate expert fearing rape outside Forfar club escaped after ‘kicking wannabe attackers in the balls’

Mohammad Islam and Shehab Smekramuddin – both illegal immigrants – are facing lengthy jail terms after being convicted of the chilling assault

A KARATE expert fearing rape when she was pinned down by two men after a night out made a brave escape – by “kicking them in the balls”.

A jury heard the traumatised woman was pounced on and thrown to the ground while walking home from a nightclub in Forfar, Angus.

Mohammad Islam and Shehab Smekramuddin – both illegal immigrants – are facing lengthy jail terms after being convicted of the chilling assault.

The pair were caught on CCTV loitering near the woman outside the town’s Royal nightclub.

Their victim told Dundee Sheriff Court she saw one of the men staring at her – but headed off along the Angus town’s High Street in the direction of her home.

CCTV picked them up tailing her around 300 yards behind her as they walk.

The traumatised woman told how moments later Islam approached and asked if she wanted to be “walked home”.

As she was distracted Smekramuddin pounced from behind, knocking her to the ground and pinning her down.

But the pair had not bargained on her martial arts expertise.

The woman – a karate enthusiast – landed a series of blows, punching and headbutting the men and, in her words: “Kicking him in the balls.”

She then broke free and fled before contacting friends and the police.

Giving evidence during the trial, she said: “My mind went blank – I thought I was going to be raped.

“The incident has had a big effect on me. I’ve had a lot of panic attacks and anxiety.”

“I feel very uncomfortable and insecure.”

Fiscal depute Eilidh Robertson told the jury that the victim had given “powerful and persuasive evidence” against her two attackers.

She added: “She dropped her bag during the struggle and the men weren’t interested in that – so what were they interested in?

  8. Violent Attacks on Ambulance Workers Soar Across UK (breitbart, Apr 25, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/04/25/violent-attacks-ambulance-workers-soar-across-uk/

“The number of violent attacks on ambulance staff in Britain has soared by over a third (34 per cent) in the last five years, while sexual assaults have doubled.

A major investigation by GMB, the union for ambulance workers, revealed that 14,441 physical assaults were recorded between 2012/13 and January this year, with staff stabbed, bitten, and having had blood spat at them by intravenous drug users.

Entitled “In harm’s way: confronting violence against NHS ambulance staff”, the report uncovered the impact violence against emergency workers has on their physical and mental health, reporting how people had been kicked, punched, slapped, stabbed, spat on, and held at knifepoint.

Testimony from the survey of more than 500 ambulance staff included one worker claiming to have been “attacked with a samurai sword repeatedly”, while another recalled “leg and emotional injuries sustained” from an incident in which a mental health patient “attempted to pull [them] over a bridge”.

The vast majority (94 per cent) of staff surveyed had witnessed the assault of a colleague or were aware of such attacks taking place, and almost three quarters (72 per cent) reported being attacked during their time in the job.

According to the report, more than one in five (21 per cent) ambulance workers have had to take sick leave due to attacks, while 37 per cent have considered leaving their job due to the threat of violence they faced.

One worker said: “I have had to have a hysterectomy because of injuries sustained … I have now returned to work but the impact on my life has been immense. I now cannot have children and will have ongoing problems for the rest of my life.”

The scale of abuse that ambulance workers face was revealed as MPs on Friday are set to vote on whether courts should be required to hand out tougher sentences for attacks on emergency workers.

The Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Bill, which would see violence against ambulance staff treated as an aggravating factor, is seen by campaigners as a welcome step, but the GMB calls for its scope to be widened to include sexual assaults.

Figures disclosed by ambulance trusts under a Freedom of Information request found that sex attacks on staff have rocketed 211 per cent over five years, rising from 53 recorded incidents in 2012/13 to 165 in 2016/17.

Kevin Brandstatter, GMB NHS national officer, said: “No one should be told that facing violence is just ‘part of the job’. The number of attacks faced by ambulance workers as they try to save lives is beyond unacceptable.

“Changing the law will be an important first step as current sentences aren’t providing an adequate deterrent,” he said.

Last year, a union leader representing ambulance drivers in Sweden called for crews to be equipped with military-style defensive equipment, reporting that emergency workers have been forced to retreat from migrant-dominated no-go zones in the Scandinavian nation after coming under attack from “large groups of violent people”.”

  9. Sessions Won’t Recuse Himself From Investigation Into Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen: Report

Attorney General Jeff Sessions will not recuse himself from the ongoing investigation into President Donald Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, according to a new report.

Sessions, who previously recused himself from the special counsel probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, has no plans to do the same for the criminal investigation of Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, whose home, office, and hotel room were raided by the FBI a few weeks back, according to Bloomberg.

The attorney general will, however, consider passing off specific questions related to the Cohen investigation.

With Sessions not recusing himself, it means the once-top Trump campaign adviser could be notified of the status of the Cohen probe and engage in decisions surrounding the case.

  10. Ex-Obama Lawyer Who Worked With Manafort On Ukraine Project Abruptly Leaves Law Firm

Greg Craig, the White House counsel for President Barack Obama, abruptly left his law firm as it has come under scrutiny from the special counsel’s investigation.

A spokeswoman for Skadden Arps confirmed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that Craig is no longer with the firm. She did not address whether his departure is related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

The website Above the Law first reported on Tuesday that Craig’s biography had been removed from Skadden Arps’ website.

Skadden Arps has come under scrutiny because of its work with Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, on behalf of the Ukrainian government in 2012. A team led by Craig helped produce a report that sought to justify the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko, a political rival of Viktor Yanukovych, the Ukrainian president at the time and an ally of Vladimir Putin’s.

    Read more at http://americanactionnews.com/articles/the-hillary-scandal-no-one-s-talking-about#tlE1oBweRdzs7pFM.99

The press continues to feed the dying Russia collusion conspiracy theory, spending Friday’s news cycle regurgitating Democrat talking points from the just-filed Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act lawsuit against the Trump campaign, WikiLeaks, and Russia.

Yet the mainstream media took no notice of last week’s federal court filing that exposes an $84 million money-laundering conspiracy the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign executed during the 2016 presidential election in violation of federal campaign-finance law.

That lawsuit, filed last week in a DC district court, summarizes the DNC-Clinton conspiracy and provides detailed evidence from Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings confirming the complaint’s allegations that Democrats undertook an extensive scheme to violate federal campaign limits.

Dan Backer, a campaign-finance lawyer and attorney-of-record in the lawsuit, explained the underlying law in an article for Investor’s Business Daily: Under federal law, “an individual donor can contribute $2,700 to any candidate, $10,000 to any state party committee, and (during the 2016 cycle) $33,400 to a national party’s main account. These groups can all get together and take a single check from a donor for the sum of those contribution limits—it’s legal because the donor cannot exceed the base limit for any one recipient. And state parties can make unlimited transfer to their national party.”

  12. Time to kick leftist indoctrination out of the classroom.

Editor’s note: In the following video, “Actual Justice Warrior” Sean Fitzgerald takes a close look at the principles and precepts of the Code of Ethics for K-12 Teachers, a measure proposed by the David Horowitz Freedom Center which would forbid teachers from using their classrooms for political, ideological, or religious advocacy. Teachers in violation of the Code would be subject to penalties such as probation, suspension and loss of their teaching licenses. The Freedom Center is currently working with legislators in several states to introduce versions of the Code of Ethics as legislation. The accompanying cartoon by Glenn McCoy (above) illustrates the urgent need for the Code of Ethics. 13. ‘Inclusive’ Toronto Under Attack
The back story to Monday’s mayhem in Canada.
    April 25, 2018
    Lloyd Billingsley

Back in 2010, al Qaeda called for terrorist recruits to use trucks to “mow down the enemies of Allah.” In 2014, the Islamic State (ISIS) told fighters if they couldn’t find an IED or a bullet they should kill unbelievers with a knife, rock, or poison, or “run over him with your car.”

True to form, in Nice, Berlin, Barcelona, Stockholm, and London, Islamic terrorists used vehicles to mount deadly attacks. Uzbek Muslim Sayfullo Saipov, acting on behalf of the Islamic State, used a rented truck to murder eight victims in New York City last October.

Monday’s attack in Toronto was deadlier, with the driver killing Anne Marie D’Amico, an Invesco employee, and nine others, with 13 injured. As with other attacks, confusion prevailed about the motive.

The driver was Alek Minassian, 25, of nearby Richmond Hill, a Seneca College student supposedly unknown to the police, as some reports claimed, but known to the police in others. On Tuesday, he emerged as a “special needs” student who would walk around making meowing noises.

He reportedly touted a “rebellion” for the “incels,” the involuntarily celibate, against the Chads and Stacys of the world. The clean-shaven Minassian hailed Elliot Roger, allegedly a fellow incel, who killed six people in Santa Barbara in 2014. But in the early going Monday, the driver escaped recognition entirely.

  14. Gun Control Lobby Boost NRA Donations, Gun Sales
    April 25, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The Obama Effect on firearms sales was well known. After the controller-in-chief retired to his permanent subversion vacation, the firearms industry ran into trouble. So did second amendment groups.

But it was only a matter of time until the Ban Everything lobby turned everything around. And boy did it.

Since the February 14 massacre in Parkland, Florida, prompted a movement of student activists calling for restrictions on gun sales and boycotts of companies doing business with gun makers, Sturm Ruger & Company’s stock has rallied 12 percent, while rival American Outdoor Brands, the maker of Smith & Wesson, has jumped 4 percent.

U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation background checks in March hit over 1.5 million, according to data supplied by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Background checks are a strong proxy for monthly gun sales, whose figures manufacturers do not release publicly.

Last month’s background checks were the highest for any March since at least 2000, although they barely exceeded background checks in March 2013, when Democrats in Washington tried – and ultimately failed – to pass legislation banning assault-style weapons in the wake of a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.

  15. A Prosecution for McCabe?
The notorious liar and Democrat fixer may soon get his comeuppance.
    April 25, 2018
    Matthew Vadum

Fired FBI deputy director and discredited Democrat hack Andrew McCabe may soon be prosecuted for authorizing the leaking of sensitive information to the media and then lying over and over again to investigators about it, according to reports.

The news comes after House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) told Fox News on Sunday that “there was no official intelligence that was used to start this investigation” of Trump’s aides. If Nunes is right, this means an official investigation was launched against a presidential campaign even though there was no official information supporting it. This is a naked abuse of power, the stuff of banana republics, something Trump defenders have been saying for some time.

McCabe’s is a tale of a slippery political operator manipulating the media for partisan purposes and then using the media to try to cover up his wrongdoing after the wrong candidate – Donald Trump – ended up winning the election. It is also about the shameless efforts of Democrats and their Deep State allies to rig the election, and when that failed, to sabotage and bring down the presidency of the candidate who despite their best efforts defeated Hillary Clinton.

McCabe was acting director of the FBI from May 9, 2017, when President Trump fired then-director James B. Comey, through Aug. 2, 2017, when new director Christopher Wray took over. McCabe was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on March 16 of this year. He has reportedly raised more than $500,000 for his legal defense by way of a GoFundMe campaign.

  17. The Latest Insane Illegal Alien Court Ruling
    April 25, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The left talks about the rule of law. But by “law”, it means its own power to impose its ideology.

There have almost been too many insane Federal court rulings denying Trump’s right to do what every previous president could do to keep track of. Here’s the latest DACA ruling.

Another federal judge has overruled the Trump administration’s efforts to end a popular immigration program — this time saying the government has to accept new applications.

The entire premise of DACA was that deportation was selective. The President has the power to decide whom to deport and whom not to deport. Now we’ve had multiple rulings by Federal judges which state, effectively, that Obama had the power to selectively deport illegal aliens, but not Trump.

  18. very long article from Le Figaro, but worth reading.
De qui Salah Abdeslam est-il l’échec

FIGAROVOX / INTERVIEW – Salah Abdeslam was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison by the Belgian justice, for involvement in the attacks in Paris on 13 November 2015 . According to Belgian Senator Alain Destexhe, the fall of Abdeslam is also the failure of political elites who have allowed communitarianism to flourish in certain neighborhoods.
Alain Destexhe is a Belgian Senator (Reform Movement).

FIGAROVOX.- Salah Abdeslam grew up in Molenbeek, a Belgian commune sadly known for the large number of jihadists who lived there. Can we go so far as to say that it is a European bastion of Islamist terrorism?
Alain DESTEXHE.- It is clear, in any case, that it is a place that has produced many terrorists: there are individuals from Molenbeek involved in the assassination of Major Massoud, in the attacks in Madrid, Paris , the Jewish Museum of Brussels, or the cell Verviers and the attack of Thalys …

In Molenbeek, the former mayor Philippe Moureaux (PS) has instituted a system of electoral and religious clientelism, while the town has a very large influx of immigrants, including a large number of illegal immigrants. It is one of the Belgian urban areas whose population growth has been the strongest.

And part of the political staff maintains this communitarianism, it even feeds it. Elected officials go to mosques, they also provide public premises for imams to teach the Koran. The veil, of course, is ubiquitous, but more importantly, there is a surge of anti-Semitism that is too often tolerated by the authorities: politicians, almost always, participate in demonstrations against Israel, even though on demonstrations we see the emergence of anti-Semitic inscriptions or the flag of Israel which is covered with a swastika! The Holocaust is almost never taught in school, even though it is part of the school curriculum. And this leniency does not stop there: the day of the feast of Eid el-Kebir, most schools of the town are deserted. day of the feast of Eid el-Kebir, most schools of the town are deserted.

Molenbeek is the Brussels municipality where this phenomenon is the most visible and the most publicized, but there are other districts that are of concerns: Anderlecht, Schaerbeek and more and more the Brussels-city. Belgium, compared to the total number of inhabitants, is the country which saw the departure of the greatest number of jihadists to Syria. Moreover, in some neighborhoods, Islam is becoming the majority religion. In public school, where students must choose a religion class, 49% of them choose the course on Islam.

Do you think that the Belgian authorities do not take the problem posed by these neighborhoods seriously enough?

Communitarianism, as I said, has been encouraged by policies for electoral reasons or because of naivety. Now, it must be said that Belgium is not France: the federal government has much less power, and even if it wants to conduct a very proactive policy against the spread of Islamism, it has not the institutional skills. However, he has already put in place a fairly strong police and judicial response. But that is not enough because we are not attacking political and cultural Islam or [Islamic] fundamentalism.

Can we say that it is also the misery of these neighborhoods that makes it easier for young people to find landmarks in the arms of jihadists?

No, the classic sociological thesis of jihadism that thrives on social misery does not stand the test of facts/time-test: Salah Abdeslam is the most egregious counter-example!
Like his father, he worked at STIB, the Brussels equivalent of RATP[similar to TTC]. The Abdeslam family had revenues of 104 K € per year, and yet benefited from social housing; moreover, and it is still significant, the brother of Salah Abdeslam worked for the municiupality and tye mayor. The radicalization of Salah Abdeslam does not result from difficult or miserable living conditions, it is first of all a spiritual conversion. The religious roots of his beliefs are so strong that they have not lost their intensity despite his captivity, and he has publicly reaffirmed his faith at his trial. This radicalization, even if it does not always go as far as jihadism, is manifested by many individuals in the neighborhood through three fundamental points that run counter to our values: anti-Semitism, gender inequality, and the prohibition to leave their faith. Moreover, some elected Muslims refuse to shake hands with women. This week again, Redouane Ahrouch, the president of the party “Islam” – and yes it exists – and candidate in the local elections refused to look at the columnist who questioned him during a television show.

According to Jean-Charles Brisard’s study of the Center for Terrorism Analysis, Salah Abdeslam played an important logistical role in transporting terrorists to France and Belgium. Terrorism is intimately linked to immigration?

Indeed, ten of the perpetrators of the attacks in Paris and Brussels arrived in Europe via the flow of migrants, most of whom were convoyed by Abdeslam. One can seriously ask, and I weigh my words, whether/if the attacks of Paris and Brussels would have taken place without the waves of massive migration of the year 2015. I know that “if”, If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride, but the question is worth asking. There was, especially in France, an outcry at the time when this question was asked: it was said that it was impossible for the Islamic State to take advantage of the waves of migration to pass terrorists. This seems logical: the complex preparation of attacks in Europe was likely to attract attention. On the other hand, organizing them in Raqqa, then sending terrorists to Europe was less risky. Even though it is proven today that some of the terrorists have hidden among the migrants, I did not hear any of those who yesterday denied that possibility to do their mea culpa.

This raises the question of the responsibility of Angela Merkel: it is now time to reveal the disastrous consequences of the massive opening of European borders that it ha sbeen deliberately orchestrated. The German Chancellor is therefore directly responsible for the arrival of a million migrants, and soon several million more thanks to family reunification against which we can hardly do anything because jurisprudence of the ECHR [European Court of Human Rights] locked this subject. It is responsible for the rise of anti-Semitism in neighborhoods affected by this massive immigration, which has seen people who have often grown up in environments clearly hostile to Jews. It is responsible for the emergence of radical right parties, like the AfD in Germany. She is responsible for the British rejection of European migration policy, which helped to breed Brexit. It is ultimately responsible for dividing Europe, not only between East and West, but even within countries between those in favor of immigration and those who reject it firmly, polarizing debates on this subject.

In sum, the record of Angela Merkel for Europe is, in many ways, disastrous.

  19. Two-Facebook
Claiming neutrality while punishing the Right.
    April 25, 2018
    Bosch Fawstin

Editor-in-Chief of Frontpage Magazine, Jamie Glazov, was recently threatened with violence by a Muslim on Facebook, and the only one who paid a price for that threat was Jamie, after he posted about it. Facebook ended up suspending him for a week. That’s the basis of my accompanying cartoon. This unfair, unwarranted punishment of those on the Right is happening more and more these days by a platform that pretends to be neutral, but is dominated by hardcore leftist Islamophiles.

I’ve had my own trouble with Facebook. Right after the Garland attack, where Jihadists planned to murder over two hundred of us at the Mohammad Art Exhibit event, Facebook removed me from their platform. It was only after a healthy online protest against my removal that I was reinstated. I’ve enjoyed social media, it’s helped me connect with like-minded individuals around the world, and it’s helped me get my work out there in a way I haven’t before. But it’s becoming increasingly clear that, despite their protestations, they have a secret policy of limiting the reach of those who criticize the Left and Islam.

  20. The Working Families Party Has an Anti-Semitism Problem
From Marx to Jewish weather control.
    April 25, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

When D.C. Councilmember Trayon White came under fire for blaming Jews for controlling the weather, dumping a Holocaust Museum tour and donating to an anti-Semitic Nation of Islam event, the loudest voice in his defense came once again from the Working Families Party. The WFP is a spinoff of ACORN.

Rafael Shimunov, the WFP’s Creative Director, claimed that each exhibit of the Holocaust Museum was a “new trap” as the “under educated Black man was followed by rich white people waiting for him to say something offensive.” Shimunov, a member of the anti-Israel hate group If Not Now, had previously also defended Keith Ellison and Linda Sarsour over their own anti-Semitic comments and history.

White isn’t an “under educated Black man” victimized by the Holocaust Museum’s exhibit “trap.” He has an MA in Public Administration and a BA in Business Administration. He’s a bigot. Not a victim.

But why would a senior figure in the WFP waste his time defending Trayon White’s anti-Semitism?

  21. Kamala Harris: NRA “Grabbed People by Different Parts of their Body”
    April 25, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

I know Senator Kamala Harris (D – One Party State) wants to be the new Obama, but she sounds more like Joe Biden.

I don’t know how to explain this rant. Is she drunk? Was she trying to sound edgy before backing off?

    You decide.

“In this discussion when we are talking about school safety, there are things we need to address that include thinking about why this is an issue.”

That sentence is gibberish. It’s what a stupid person thinks smart people sound like. It’s a word salad.

But it’s also the most coherent thing Kamala Harris has to say on this issue.

  22. Turkey’s Erdogan Plans to Campaign in Europe for Upcoming Elections (breitbart, Apr 25, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2018/04/25/turkeys-erdogan-campaign-europe-upcoming-elections/

“Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said on Tuesday he is planning to hold a campaign rally in a European city next month ahead of the June elections, despite rules in some countries banning Turkish politicians from campaigning abroad.

Erdo?an is currently preparing for snap parliamentary and presidential elections in June to allow him to implement reforms that will greatly increase his executive authority.

“God willing, in May, we will hold our first meeting in a closed sports hall in a European country. All preparations are complete,” Erdo?an said in a speech in front of members of his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).

Such campaigning is likely to be held in Germany, where around three million Turks live and maintain the right to vote. There are also smaller communities living in Austria and the Netherlands, many of whom migrated following the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

“Our view is clear. In the three-month period before elections in a foreign country, no election campaigning will take place in Germany,” German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas told reporters this week.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, whose conservative coalition has campaigned against Turkey joining the European Union, has also signaled Erdo?an would be prevented from “trying to exploit” Europe’s Turkish communities.

“Erdogan’s Turkish leadership has been trying to exploit Europe’s communities of Turkish origin for many years,” Kurz was quoted as saying last Friday. “Turkish election campaign appearances in Austria are unwanted and we will therefore no longer allow them.”

Erdogan has already announced plans to campaign in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The pro-government Turkish newspaper Yeni Safak reported that around 10,000 people will be brought from European cities to the rally, while local Turks are also expected to attend.

“After European countries’ anti-democratic ban, the planned demonstration in Sarajevo will be Erdogan’s first showing abroad as part of his election campaign and this situation makes the Sarajevo demonstration more important,” Yeni Safak wrote in an editorial.

The 5.5 million Turkish expatriates living overseas were seen as a crucial demographic in last year’s referendum used to cement Erdogan’s authority, which he won by a narrow margin with 51.4 percent voting in favor.

Erdo?an is now widely expected to win the upcoming elections, currently polling at around 55.6, which would secure him a comfortable victory.

Under his new constitutional reforms, Erdo?an will have the power to dissolve parliament, issue executive decrees and declare a national state of emergency. It will also give him more power to appoint his vice president, ministers, senior judges, and other high-level officials.”

  23. Alfie Evans: Free Health Care Means You’re Gov Property

There’s not much to say about the Alfie Evans case that wasn’t already said about the Charlie Gard case. Both children are/were murdered by a medical system where euthanasia is not only a cost-saving measure, but also a measure of the authority of the system. In both cases, Alfie and Charlie had to be prevented from seeking treatment outside the NHS to make a point about defying authority.

There have been other such cases. Some involving babies. Others involving disabled adults.

As the left ramps up its talk of “free everything”, it’s a useful reminder that nothing is free.

Free people don’t get free stuff. Slaves do. Free health care means that you are the property of the state. Free health care for your children means that they are the property of the state.

  24. The NYPD must let out the truth about an unsolved cop-killing by Muslims shouting “Allahu akbar”

Why is the NYPD being so unforthcoming about this case? Do they think that telling the truth about a cop killed by Muslims will enrage the Muslims of the city? Do they think that telling the truth about a cop killed by the Nation of Islam will inflame racial tensions in the city? Or is it that Mayor de Blasio is so anxious to appease such groups, and so politically beholden to them, that he doesn’t want any news coming out that will make them look bad?

  27. Rights Groups Lambaste Greece for Migrant Travel Ban (aawsat, Apr 25, 2018)
    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1249021/rights-groups-lambaste-greece-migrant-travel-ban

“Human rights groups raised the alarm Wednesday the “abusive” policy adopted by Greece to continue containing asylum-seekers on its islands.

Greek authorities are trying to legislate curbs on migrants’ movements to try to cancel out a court ruling on April 18 that individuals landing on Greek islands should no longer be held there.

Lawmakers started discussing the legalization on April 24.

“Containing asylum seekers on the Greek islands in substandard and appalling conditions that violate their rights and Greece’s international obligations cannot be justified for migration control purposes,” 21 human rights groups, including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, said.

“Greece’s abusive containment policy was put in place in March 2016, with the support of the European Union and its member states.”

Asylum seekers have been prohibited from traveling beyond five Greek islands since March 2016, when the EU agreed with Ankara to seal off a sea route used by hundreds of thousands in 2015 to flee conflict in places like Syria and Iraq.

The Council of State, Greece’s top administrative court, had upheld a petition by an advocacy group that there was no overriding reason of public interest to justify a travel ban on asylum seekers. The ruling had applied only to new arrivals.

In response, Greece introduced an administrative order restating the ban on movement as a stop-gap until legislation on the matter is approved by lawmakers.

As of Wednesday, 15,749 people were being held on the islands, most in severely overcrowded camps holding at least double their capacity.

Greek officials have reported a rise in arrivals after a relative lull. “There has been an increase in inflows particularly since March 25,” Migration Minister Dimitris Vitsas told real FM radio.

“We are effectively looking at a tripling compared to last year and a doubling since January to February.”

More than one million people, mainly fleeing war in Syria, crossed to Greece from Turkey in 2015 after the onset of the bloc’s worst migration crisis since World War II.

The influx has been sharply cut since the European Union signed a controversial deal with Turkey in 2016 to send back migrants.

Migrants have languished in camps on five Greek islands awaiting their asylum claims to be processed. This has fuelled despair and sparked protests and outbreaks of violence.

Greece, a country of 11 million people, recorded 58,661 asylum applications last year, making it the member state with the highest number of asylum seekers per capita, according to official data.”

  28. Iran includes ‘death to America’ emojis in state-approved messaging app (mee, Apr 25, 2018)
    http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/iran-app-2080613521

“The Iranian government has launched a new messaging app replete with “Death to America” and pro-Khamenei emojis, in an attempt to counter the popularity of the encrypted, privacy-driven Telegram service.

About 50 million Iranians currently use Telegram, which has concerned the authorities who suspect it was a driving force behind anti-government protests in December and January.

The new app, “Soroush”, features emojis featuring chador-wearing women and attacks on the United States, Israel, the US and Freemasonry.

It currently claims five million users, closely resembles Telegram in that it allows users to join channels, follow news, and conduct business online.

It also contains a feature to transfer existing Telegram accounts to the new application.

Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei closed down his Telegram account last week “in line with safeguarding national interests and removing the monopoly of the Telegram messaging app”.

State media reported that the Iranian government had banned “all state bodies from using the foreign messaging app”…”

“Europe faces a repeat of the 2015 refugee crisis that saw a vast “exodus” from Syria unless the international community honours financial commitments made to millions of refugees, the United Nations’ top refugee official in the Middle East has warned.

In an exclusive interview with Middle East Eye, Amin Awad, the head of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in the Middle East, issued the stark warning of humanitarian catastrophe as international donors gathered in Brussels.

To support Syrian refugees in Jordan, Turkey, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon and in Syria, the EU and UN are calling for donors at the two-day “Brussels II” conference to pledge $6bn, but Awad said “donor fatigue” left him “concerned” this target would not be met.

“There was donor fatigue at the beginning of this crisis and the consequence in 2015 was a vast exodus to Europe,” Awad said…”

  30. 30 takfiris, three army personnel killed in past week of Operation Sinai 2018: Spokesperson (ahram, Apr 25, 2018)
    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/298325/Egypt/Politics-/-takfiris,-three-army-personnel-killed-in-past-wee.aspx

“Egypt’s military and police forces have killed 30 Islamist “takfiris” and arrested 173 suspects in a week-long offensive to crush militants in central and northern Sinai, a military spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Three army officers were killed and an officer and a solider were injured in clashes with terrorists during raids over the past week, Colonel Tamer El-Refai said in the 20th communique on Operation Sinai 2018, which was published on the official Facebook page of the Egyptian armed forces.

The raids come under the framework of Comprehensive Operation Sinai 2018, a counter-terrorism campaign which involves the army, navy, air force and police.

The operation was launched in February to target “terrorist and criminal elements and organizations” in north and central Sinai, parts of the Nile Delta and the Western Desert.

Over the past week, the Egyptian army killed Naser Abu Zakul, emir of the Islamic State group’s Egyptian affiliate Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, as well as four “extremely dangerous” elements, and eight “takfiris” in northern and central Sinai.

Another 173 suspects have been arrested, El-Refai said.

Meanwhile, in the North Sinai capital city of Arish, police killed another 17 “takfiris,” he added.

The air force, which has been conducting airstrikes in northern and central Sinai since the operation started, destroyed three hideouts used by terrorists near Egypt’s northeastern border and destroyed 10 vehicles loaded with weapons near the western border.

Security forces also destroyed 437 hideouts and caches in several parts of the country while military engineers discovered and destroyed 74 bombs planted to target forces at various sites, El-Refai said.

They also uncovered and destroyed 38 farms used to grow illegal narcotics in central and northern Sinai and near the western border, the statement said.”

  31. Morocco Remains Near Bottom in 2018 Rankings for Press Freedom (moroccoworldnews, Apr 25, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/04/245136/morocco-remains-near-bottom-in-2018-rankings-for-press-freedom/

“Morocco has fallen two places to the 135th ranking in the 2018 Annual Freedom of the Press report, published by Reporters Without Borders (RSF).

The index linked the low ranking to the alleged “strong judicial pressure on journalists.”

RSF claimed that Moroccan law enforcement “deliberately hindered the work of national and foreign media,” who were trying to cover up Hirak Rif, a protest movement for improved socio-economic services that erupted in the Al Hoceima Province in 2016 and 2017 after the death of the local fishmonger Mohcine Fikri.

The RSF report added that several complaints have been filed against both citizen and professional journalists, “many of whom are currently in prison, and under prison sentences and fines.”

In 2017, Morocco was ranked 133rd due to authorities use of political and economic pressure to deter local independent media from covering sensitive issues. The report added that Morocco expelled several foreign reporters in 2016, for lacking official permits.

The Moroccan Ministry of Culture and Communication has deplored the report, calling RSF’s reasoning behind its ranking “baseless and lacking credibility.”…”
