Currently, our government has a massive problem. The public no longer has faith in them, in fact it has plummeted to all time lows. According to Pew Research, only 20% of the American public believe the government does what is right always or most of the time. 68% believe they only do what is right some of the time and 11% say never. The public seems somewhat desensitized to the “typical” political scandals such as money-laundering or infidelity. Yet, there is one type of scandal continuously overlooked in the institutions of government. Satanic child abuse is not only currently entrenched in our government, but has been systematically covered up for decades. With the Pizzagate Scandal breaking a couple years ago, many of those researching and learning the crimes of our government for the first time have had their realities shattered.

  6. Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail has called for the process of legalising unlicensed churches to be “speeded up” after granting a second batch of church buildings official status this week.

The government has legalised 219 churches and church-affiliated buildings this year, but 3,511 others remain on the waiting list.

The churches were built without licence as it was “next to impossible” to build or restore a church until the Law for Building and Restoring Churches was passed in September 2016. The demand for official church buildings is a response to growing congregations and the declining condition of existing churches, according to Coptic news site Watani.

  12. French lawmakers pass controversial immigration law (france24, Apr 23, 2018)
    http://www.france24.com/en/20180423-french-lawmakers-pass-controversial-immigration-law

“France’s National Assembly late Sunday passed a controversial immigration law that has exposed unprecedented divisions in President Emmanuel Macron’s young centrist party.

After 61 hours of debate, the measure was approved in a vote of 228 in favour, 139 against and 24 abstentions. It passed largely with the support of Macron’s Republic On The Move (LREM) party.

But one LREM deputy, Jean-Michel Clement, rebelled and announced that he was quitting the president’s party after casting a no vote on the proposed law.

Opposition to the measure was found across the political spectrum with lawmakers of both the right-wing and leftist parties voting against it, as well as the far-right National Front.

The lower-house of the French parliament was supposed to vote on the bill Friday, but the fractious debate stretched into the weekend due to more than 1,000 amendments proposed by deputies.

More than 200 of the changes were suggested by LREM members as Macron’s own lawmakers openly challenged his plans to double the maximum time migrants can be held in detention to 90 days.

The government had defended the bill as balanced, but it has been criticised by rightwingers for being too soft and by leftwingers who see it as repressive.

Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said it aims for “better controlled” immigration, halving the waiting time for asylum applications to six months while also making it easier to deport those turned down as “economic” migrants.

Accepted refugees will be given more help to integrate, such as better access to work and French lessons.

Many leftwing opponents lashed out in parliament at measures to keep asylum seekers awaiting deportation, including children, in detention for up to 90 days.

“Nothing justifies locking up a kid,” said Socialist deputy Herve Saulignac.

The bill also reduces the time that asylum-claimers have to lodge their application from 120 to 90 days and gives them two weeks to appeal if unsuccessful, which NGOs say is not enough to gather more evidence in support of their claim.

Despite the rumblings of revolt and long debate, the bill had been expected to pass, with LREM holding more than half the seats after battering traditional parties in June’s parliamentary elections.

    – Pressure on multiple fronts –

France received a record 100,000 asylum applications last year, bucking the general trend in Europe where the number of asylum seekers halved between 2016 and 2017.

Many Africans and South Asians end up sleeping on the streets of Paris due to a shortage of accommodation, or camping out in Calais hoping to stow away on trucks to Britain.

Controversy over the immigration bill comes as Macron is under pressure for insisting he will push on with sweeping reforms including an overhaul of state rail operator SNCF, despite strikes and street protests.

Monday sees the start of another two days of strikes by rail workers over the shake-up which have been causing havoc for French commuters two days out of five since the start of April.

Rail unions object to plans to strip new SNCF recruits of jobs-for-life and early retirement, part of Macron’s bid to reduce the SNCF’s nearly 50 billion euros ($61.5 billion) of debt.

The unions are gambling on public opinion turning in their favour but polls suggest an opposite trend, with just 43 percent backing the strike in an Ifop poll released Sunday.

The scale of the disruption has also eased over the course of the month as fewer workers continue with the strike.

On Monday, 35 percent of high-speed trains are set to operate — up from just an eighth at the beginning of the month.

And air travellers also face disruptions Monday and Tuesday as Air France employees strike for the tenth day in two months.

Nevertheless the French carrier says it expects to maintain 75 percent of its flights on Monday.”

“The German development minister, Gerd Müller, says Germany and Iraq will step up cooperation on the reintegration of Iraqi refugees. He said up to 10,000 Iraqis would be helped to return home.

German Development Minister Gerd Müller said on Sunday that Berlin and Baghdad had agreed to work together more closely on helping failed Iraqi asylum-seekers in Germany to return to their native country.

“The aim is to support up to 10,000 Iraqis from Germany in re-establishing themselves and building something new,” Müller said, following talks with Iraqi officials in Baghdad.

Müller said Iraqis should have the chance to return to their home country of their own free will and not as “losers.” He added that education and employment opportunities would be created in cooperation with Iraqi authorities and companies.

During his visit, Müller opened an advice center for returning refugees in the city of Irbil in the Kurdish-administered northern region of Iraq. Another is planned for Baghdad.

A meeting between Müller and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi was canceled at short notice because of scheduling problems…”

  14. Turkey’s Erdogan chides Austria over election campaigning (thelocal, Apr 22, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.at/20180422/turkeys-erdogan-chides-austria-over-election-campaigning

“President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Saturday criticised Austria for planning to ban any possible campaigning for the June elections, saying that countries attempting to undermine his country’s democratic struggle would “pay a price”.

Erdogan this week called snap elections for June 24th, bringing the polls forward by a year and a half.

Both Austria and the Netherlands have announced their governments would not look warmly to any possible campaigning on their soil by Turkish politicians.

In an interview with private NTV broadcaster, Erdogan took aim at Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz who said Friday campaign events would “not be welcome” and would not be allowed.

Erdogan said the steps taken by Kurz would “entirely turn against him.”

“Turkey’s struggle for democracy cannot be easily restricted,” he said.

The early election will accelerate the transition to a new presidential system which critics fear will lead the way for one-man rule.

Kurz had told Ö1 radio Friday: “The Turkish leadership under Erdogan has for years tried to instrumentalise communities of Turkish origin in Europe; this has been the case for Erdogan’s campaign events and those of his supporters.”

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte also said Friday campaigning in the Netherlands would be “undesirable.”

“They are Turkish elections, so the campaign should remain in Turkey,” he said, warning that any campaigning by Turkish politicians could cause public disorder in the Netherlands.

Erdogan said he would address Turkish origin voters in a European country without elaborating further.

“We have finalised our preparations abroad. I will not publicise the country now but God willing, I will address a crowd of 10-11,000 at a meeting of an international organisation,” he added.

Turkey’s EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik also blasted the prime ministers of Austria and the Netherlands, saying they were “not leaning on democratic values”.

“With this approach, Austria and Holland are poisoning democratic values in their own countries. By doing so, they are helping spread of racist political movements hostile to European Union values,” he wrote on Twitter Saturday.

Last year, Turkey’s relations with some of the EU member states including Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, took a strained turn after they banned rallies ahead of a constitutional referendum won by Erdogan.”

Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, the singer described her feelings on the election, noting that while Trump has his flaws, his honesty sold him on her as a candidate to lead the country.

“I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both,” she told the outlet. “If I were voting, I just don’t want bull—-. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. 17. Houthis: Iran’s New Hezbollah in Making

Houthis officially “Ansar Allah” are a Yemeni rebel group adherent to Zaidism a branch of Shia Islam. Zaidi Imams ruled Yemen for 1,000 years until the 1962 revolution.

Houthi movement in early 1990 began as a cultural movement intended to counter Wahhabist and Salafist influence and end the political and economic marginalization of Yemen’s Zaydi population.

The movement turned to arms in year 2004 on grounds of self-defence when the first war with the govt of then President Ali Abdullah Saleh erupted which killed its founding leader Hussein Al-Houthi. What started as the theological movement preaching peace now find themselves at the centre of a wider regional proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Houthis rather than acting as an indigenous movement are now playing in the hand of Iran. Recently Houthi rebels with greater Iranian assistance have escalated their missile attacks on Saudi Arabia. Iran is providing Houthis with variety of rockets and missiles to develop them in comparison to its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah which is the most powerful Arab Shiite force in the region.

Its very unfortunate that Houthis don’t realise that Iran is not interested in seeing Yemen in peace and prosperity. Iran is only helping them just to create its proxy force in Arabian Peninsula.

    Israel playing on Iranian nerves

Analysis: Israel’s recent ‘mistakes’ surrounding the attack on the T-4 airbase in Syria are not coincidental, it’s a policy. It’s trying to provoke Iran into a direct conflict on Syrian soil so it could thwart Tehran’s entrenchment before it has a chance to fully establish itself in Syria.

  19. ISIS Spokesman Calls for Attacks on Arab Nations (NYT, Apr 22, 2018)
    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/22/world/middleeast/isis-arabs-attacks.html

“In his first statement in 10 months, the Islamic State’s spokesman on Sunday called for violence against neighboring Arab nations, suggesting that the group’s focus was turning closer to home.

The remarks were a departure from the last pronouncement issued by the spokesman, Abu Hassan al-Muhajir, which aimed to incite attacks against Europe and North America. It comes as the group is retrenching in its core territory after losing all but 3 percent of the area it once held in Iraq and Syria.

In a nearly hourlong audio recording, released inside the group’s chat rooms in the messaging app Telegram, the spokesman called on fighters to redirect their ire toward the leaders of Arab nations in the region, whom he described as “apostates,” a term the group uses to refer to fellow Sunnis who have strayed from its extreme interpretation of the faith.

The spokesman said there was “no difference” between fighting the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran and the Palestinians “and their American Crusader allies, or the Russians or the Europeans.” He argued that they deserved to be treated even more harshly because “these are Arabs and are more fierce and vicious against Islam.”…”

  20. Iraq’s oil exports rise by 11% in March (memo, Apr 23, 2018)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20180423-iraqs-oil-exports-rise-by-11-in-march/

“Iraq’s oil exports rose by 11.5 per cent on an annual basis in March to 107.05 million barrels.

The Iraqi Oil Ministry said on Sunday that the value of its oil exports last month amounted to $ 6.4 billion.

The Iraqi oil exports reached in last February about 95,940,000 barrels.

The ministry spokesman Asem Jihad said in a statement that the oil exports did not register any production from the fields of Kirkuk.

Jihad added that the average price per barrel recorded $ 60.114. The exported quantities were loaded by 39 international companies of different nationalities from the ports of Basra, Khor Al-Aamya and the floats on the Gulf.

The pumping of oil from Kirkuk to the Turkish port of Ceyhan stopped in October when Iraqi forces took control of the fields from the northern Peshmerga forces.

Iraq relies on oil sales revenues to finance up to 95 per cent of state expenditure. Therefore, the decline in crude prices since 2014 has negatively affected the domestic economy.”

  21. YouTube ran ads for big firms on Nazi, pedophilia channels

YouTube has been accused of showing ads from multinational companies on channels promoting extremism, Nazis and even pedophilia.

The likes of Adidas, Amazon, Facebook, Netflix and Under Armour are among the 300 firms who unwittingly helped these channels, a CNN investigation revealed.

Other channels found to be running high-quality commercials from as many as 300 firms spewed North Korean propaganda and white nationalists.

CNN claims to have found ads for Jewish groups, including the Jerusalem’s Friends of Zion Museum, running on a video about KKK grand wizard David Duke.

A Nissan ad reportedly featured on Brian Ruhe’s “Nazi” channel, which has since been deleted for violating community guidelines on hate speech.

The video, “David Duke on Harvey Weinstein exposing Jewish domination,” allegedly featured a joint ad promoting the Nissan Leaf and Disney film “A Wrinkle In Time.”

The Toy Association pulled its ads from YouTube after it found one of its campaigns was being run on a channel promoting pedophilia.
