  1. New figures released by the German Interior Ministry at the request of a Free Democratic Party (FDP) MP show that the regional governments have only deported 10 foreign radical Islamic extremists while 745 extremists in total still remain in the country.
The figures come after a parliamentary request from FDP politician Konstantin Kuhle and show a lack of ability at German regional governments to deport large numbers of dangerous Islamic extremists. The 745 extremists on the list are considered by the government to be under reasonable suspicion of wanting to carry out acts of terrorism Neue Ruhr Zeitung reports.

Mr Kuhle said in response to the government’s answer that there was a clear “enforcement problem” and singled out the region of Bavaria, which is ruled by the conservative Bavarian Christian Social Union, an ally of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, saying, “It is significant that of all [the regions] the CSU-governed Bavaria so far has carried out no such risk diversion.”

“Pakistan has conducted a successful test of an enhanced range version of the locally developed Babur cruise missile.

A military statement Saturday says the Babur Weapon System-1 (B) incorporates advanced aerodynamics and avionics that can strike targets both at land and sea with high accuracy, at a range of 700 kilometers.

It says Babur is a low flying, terrain hugging missile which also has certain stealth features and is capable of carrying various types of warheads.”

  3. Protesters in Hungary demand new vote, new electoral system (abcnews, Apr 14, 2018)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/protesters-hungary-demand-recount-electoral-system-54470364

“Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters marched Saturday in the Hungarian capital of Budapest, demanding a new election and a new national electoral system in the biggest opposition rally in years.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban was re-elected for a fourth term last week. His right-wing populist Fidesz party won a supermajority in the national assembly, with preliminary results showing that Fidesz and tiny ally the Christian Democratic party won 134 seats in the 199-seat legislature.

Opposition supporters are upset that Hungary’s electoral rules have given Orban’s party such a large majority in Parliament when it only won around 50 percent of the vote.

While the left-wing opposition parties won 12 of 18 seats at stake in Budapest districts, Fidesz won 85 of 88 seats outside the capital. The other 93 seats were allocated based on votes for party lists.

Protesters marched from the Opera to Parliament, shouting “New elections!” ”We are the majority!” ”Vik-tator!” and “Filthy Fidesz!”

The size of the crowd, overflowing from the city’s Kossuth Square outside the striking neo-Gothic Parliament, rivalled the pro-government “Peace March” held on March 15. Organizers said another anti-government protest would be held next weekend.

“We want new and fair elections,” opposition activist Gergely Gulyas told the huge crowd. “This is the responsibility of the government and we’re going to remind them of this, peacefully and massively.”

Orban, whose campaign focused on the demonization of migrants, has promised “significant changes” in his next government, which could push for a constitutional amendment against migration.

A fragmented opposition, a complex electoral system that disproportionately favors the biggest party and Orban’s decision to greatly facilitate citizenship for Hungarians living in neighboring countries like Romania and Serbia all contributed to his large win on April 8.

Over 96 percent of voters in those bordering countries — including areas that Hungary lost after World War I — backed Orban’s Fidesz party.

“When I asked my grandparents why they allowed (communist dictator) Matyas Rakosi to stay in power for so long, they answered that they were scared,” writer and journalist Gergely Homonnay, one of the rally’s organizers, told protesters. “Well, I’m not scared. We’re not scared.”

Homonnay said protesters had three requests: Changing the electoral system “which forever cements Fidesz in power;” ousting Chief Prosecutor Peter Polt, an Orban ally, because “as long as he is in office not a single corruption case will be investigated;” and getting Fidesz out of state media, which has become an unabashed promoter of government propaganda in recent years.

Orban claims that opposition parties want to turn Hungary into an “immigrant nation” with the help of the European Union, the United Nations and Hungarian-American billionaire and philanthropist George Soros. Opposition members deny the claim.

At the end of the rally Saturday, participants sang Hungary’s national anthem, as well as the EU anthem, which is based on Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.””

  4. We’ve seen this before, just on a smaller scale.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is following the infamous playbook of Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald, who managed to convict an innocent man while the guilty one walked free — and Fitzgerald knew it.

They both went after and indicted people who either did not commit any crimes or were indicted for things unrelated to the purposes for which they were appointed. Both were in hotly political environments with supportive media. Both were open-ended investigations. And, it seems, both were hungry for convictions for the sake of convictions — not truth or justice.

Fitzgerald is the special counsel appointed in 2003 to investigate the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame (who it turns out was a desk jockey in the D.C. area, not an undercover agent who was endangered by the outing as the media liked to imply.) Nonetheless, there was a leak that identified her.

At the time it was thought this was done by the Bush Administration, and specifically Vice President Dick Cheney’s office, in retaliation for Plame’s husband writing an op-ed in the New York Times saying he doubted Saddam Hussein had bought uranium in Africa before the run-up to the invasion of Iraq. The purchase, along with other intelligence, was part of the case for invading Iraq. Two weeks later, Plame was outed.

Fitzpatrick was appointed to find out who did it, and soon fixed his eyes on Cheney and his staff, for what appeared to be political reasons. In the end, he wrongly identified the leaker as Scooter Libby, Cheney’s Chief of Staff. Libby’s crime? Not being the leaker, but providing false or misleading information to the special counsel, for which he actually went to prison.

Get-Trump Fever Creating Rule of Law Crisis
This has been an extraordinary week. It began with an abusive raid on the home and law office of President Trump’s long-time attorney Michael Cohen. And it ended with disclosures from the disgraced former FBI Director’s anti-Trump book and the Department of Justice Inspector General’s report released today regarding the corrupt behavior of fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. The attached video lays out my concerns about the Mueller-inspired raid. And as I recently tweeted:

The Raid is just one more reason to shut the Mueller operation down–it’s constitutionally suspect, ethically compromised, & frankly has no reason for being – given the fact that there’s no evidence of @RealDonaldTrump-Russia collusion.

And Comey’s book is another act of misconduct. Again, another tweet sums up our concerns:

We already know Comey took FBI records and illegally leaked them to get a special counsel appointed as part of his vendetta against @realDonaldTrump. Now it looks like he doubled down and used them also to write a book. And the DOJ/FBI has yet to lift a finger.

  12. WASHINGTON, DC — The communist regime of Chinese President Xi Jinping has burned down Christian crosses at various churches and is forcing Muslim Uighurs to eat pork as part of its efforts to impose atheist values on everyone in the country, some U.S. government and independent analysts indicate.
During a discussion on religious persecution in China hosted by the Heritage Foundation on Friday, Bob Fu, the founder and president of the U.S.-based Christian human rights group China Aid, noted that Chinese Communist oppression is high in the Muslim-majority province of Xinjiang, home to the country’s Uighur (or Uyghur) minority.

He also pointed out that China’s religious freedom oppression is affecting Christians in the country, particularly those in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang province, known as the Jerusalem of China.

  13. Several days ago, news broke of the abhorrent chemical weapons attack on the Syrian city of Douma, which was carried out, it’s believed, by Syrian President Bashar Assad’s armed forces.

Gruesome images and videos circulated of Syrian men, women, and children suffering from the effects of the chemical attack.

Subsequently, and perhaps unrelated, Israel was widely reported as being behind an airstrike on a Syrian air base which killed 14 people, including a number of Iranian military advisers.

The Syrian chemical attack and the alleged Israeli air strike became part of the same story for many Canadian media outlets. Many of the headlines ran with the most recent incident – the air strike. However, in the absence of any images from the scene, some media chose to use the highly emotive images resulting from the Syrian chemical attack. In so doing, readers came to the false conclusion that the Israeli airstrikes harmed innocent Syrian civilians (especially children) and that Israel may have used chemical weapons in a targeted attack on civilians.

HonestReporting Canada, its members, and Canadians at large filed complaints with CBC News.ca, the National Post, Global News, and Huffington Post Canada, and we’re pleased to note that each news outlet removed the offending photographs.

  15. he decline of the Islamic State, nearly four years after its emergence, was the result of an aggressive military campaign to combat the group spearheaded primarily by the United States. That has not stopped Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu from writing an article for Foreign Policy to take credit for the group’s demise, insisting that Turkey’s actions in northern Syria have helped lay the groundwork for a sustainable peace.

What he neglected to mention is that it was Turkey’s actions, or perhaps the lack thereof, that helped fuel the rise of the Islamic State in the first place. The two most commonly cited factors leading to the growth of the Islamic State are the Syrian civil war and the government of former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and its persecution of Sunni Arabs in Iraq. But another significant part of this story is the negligence exhibited by the Turkish state.

  16. Obama Holdover Accused of Corruption Approved Trump Lawyer Raid

The inmates are running the asylum and locking up the guards.

When the media first began to spin the raid on the president’s lawyer, they claimed that it had been approved by a Trump appointee. Of course it hadn’t. It came from Rosenstein on one end. And Trump’s appointee had recused himself. That left his deputy, an Obama holdover.

Robert Khuzami. And there are reports that he allegedly made the decision.

Khuzami was in charge of SEC enforcement under Obama. He did speak at the RNC convention in ’04 in support of the Patriot Act and donated to McCain in ’08. But as we’ve seen with Mueller, that kind of thing is old news. The much more significant factor is his SEC gig.

And he has quite the stunning history.

The US warned Russia ahead of the overnight strikes on Syria, US Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman said, adding that the military action was not “about the conflict between superpowers.”
“Before we took the action, the United States communicated with the Russian Federation to reduce the danger of any Russian or civilian casualties,” Huntsman said, claiming that “all the targets were linked with the Assad regime’s illegal chemical weapons program.”

Huntsman urged Moscow to “do the right thing and join the rest of the world in condemning the Assad regime,” adding that Washington was still open for “cooperation.” The diplomat once again squarely pinned the blame for the alleged chemical attack in the town of Douma on the Syrian government, citing “large amount of credible reporting” on the incident.

  22. OIC Chief Says Crown Prince’s Tour Eradicated Negative Stereotyping of Arab, Islamic Issues (aawsat, Apr 14, 2018)
    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1237356/oic-chief-says-crown-princes-tour-eradicated-negative-stereotyping-arab-islamic

“OIC Chief Yusuf Bin Ahmed Al-Othaymeen said on Friday that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Britain, the United States, France and Spain provided a true image of Islam and Muslims, reducing many burdens accumulated by the negative stereotypes inherited from Arab and Islamic issues.

On the occasion of the Crown Prince concluding his visits to these countries, Othaymeen congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on the success achieved by the tour on political, economic, intellectual and cultural levels.

He also said the visit delivered the aspirations of Arab and Islamic youth, hoping for an optimistic and constructive future.

He praised the statements made by the Crown Prince on issues related to terrorism, extremism, dialogue and coexistence. Othaymeen also lauded the Crown Prince’s affirmation that Islam discredits all acts of extremism and terrorism, refuting claims made by those adopting a self-tailored Islam in the name of extremism and terrorism.

Terrorists have long exploited Islam as a mean to achieve their political objectives at the expense of religion itself.

Othaymeen positively reviewed Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s statement in France which said that Saudi Arabia is a great regional player and is a member of three vital blocs: the Gulf Cooperation Council, the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The OIC chief went on saying that the Kingdom has helped to establish the OIC to serve both the Palestinian cause and Islamic issues, and that the organization is the second largest international organization after the United Nations with 57 member countries.

More so, the Kingdom hosts the OIC and its headquarters, ensuring the independence of its activities.

Saudi Arabia does not interfere in the work of the OIC’s General Secretariat except to support and facilitate the performance of its duty towards Member States and issues of Muslims worldwide.”

    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/297619/Egypt/Politics-/Egyptian-Army-says–takfiris-killed,–suspects-arr.aspx

“The Egyptian army and police in North and Central Sinai have killed 27 “takfiris” and arrested 114 suspects, 21 of which had criminal records, during the past few days.
A seven-minute video-statement issued Saturday by the Egyptian army is the 19th communiqué since the launch of Operation Sinai 2018 in early February.

The Arabic word “takfiri” refers to extremist Sunni Muslims who accuse other Muslims of being infidels, often as a justification for using violence against them.

The Egyptian military described 15 among the dead as “extremely dangerous,” six having died in strikes by the Egyptian Air Forces.

The rest of the 12 were killed during clashes with police personnel. The statement highlighted that ammunition and arms were found inside their hideouts.

Security forces confiscated and destroyed over 15 vehicles and 43 motorcycles.

The military statement added that 150 hideouts filled with weaponry, ammunition and military uniforms were destroyed.

Over the past few days, army engineers have safely detonated 30 IEDs that had been planted by takfiris to target security forces.

The raids also led to the discovery and destruction of 20 marijuana and poppy farms used for drug production in Central Sinai, as well as a number of underground border tunnels in North Sinai’s Rafah city.

The navy seized a suspect ship in the Red Sea that was carrying 1,350kg of heroin.

The Egyptian army has stressed that border security forces organised more than 585 patrols on highways and desert roads in the past few days.

Operation Sinai 2018 was launched “to implement the plan of comprehensive confrontation of terrorist and criminal elements and organisations in North and Central Sinai, and in other areas in the Nile Delta and desert areas west of the Nile Valley,” according to the Egyptian Armed Forces.”

    • The Arabic word “takfiri” refers to extremist Sunni Muslims who accuse other Muslims of being infidels, often as a justification for using violence against them.

And because Islam is all about supreme spiritual purity, you can bet the farm that takfirism will be one of the final phases of Islam’s existence on this earth.

      A few important ones are:

Not allowing Saudi–Iraqi hostilities to be imported into Europe (or America), like the Shiite–Kurdish festivities that are happening in the EU.

Confining Sunni–Iraqi hostilities to the MME (Muslim Middle East).

Making sure that none of these parties gain possession of nuclear weapons or are further allowed develop chemical or biological weapons.

The MME is this world’s biggest loony bin. Muslims are, (given the weapons) literally, capable of any atrocity. The West must responding accordingly.

Violent patients spread fear and terror in Bielefeld clinics
    …………………
Rüter tries to explain the proceedings prudently.

He emphasizes: “Unfortunately, we are now used to such a thing and the hospital will not be reporting it.” He speaks of the inhibition thresholds decreasing. “Physical abuses and brawls are increasing.” And that meant not only drunks and drug users.

“Unfortunately, people with a migration background are often particularly aggressive,” says Rüter. “They often play the card of xenophobia, but I dismiss it immediately, we are a house of all nationalities.” A dark-skinned doctor had already been attacked, says Rüter.
These patients and their relatives have an enormous feeling of entitlement ”
Also Hans-Werner Kottkamp, ??head physician of the central emergency department in the Evangelical clinic Bethel (EvKB), can sing a song of such incidents. He himself had been attacked and being strangled by a patient’s husband because the treatment was not fast enough. Recently one of his colleagues was injured in Gilead .

“Mostly it’s the relatives and not the patients who cause problems,” emphasizes Kottkamp. It happens that patients go crazy in the drug rush. One patient has recently disassembled a whole treatment room. “But he is in an exceptional psychological situation, which I can not blame.” What Kottkamp criticizes is the enormous claims & entitlement of many patients and relatives

“We are spit on and threatened with a scalpel ”
A hospital nurse (27), who wants to remain anonymous, has just changed the department: “Also because of the attacks in the night service,” he says. “We are spit on, they threaten us with blows, a junkie threatened us with a scalpel.” He did not want to be hospitalized and shouted, “I’ll kill you.” At night, something like that is now standard….

  34. Syria: Kurds no longer want to keep French jihadists from Daesh
Kurds hold about 100 French jihadists, captured during the offensive against ISIS. They do not want to keep them anymore.
In northern Syria, as the major battles against the Islamic State are over, hundreds of foreign jihadists are still in the hands of Kurdish forces whose governance is not legal. They are kept in camps or in prisons. There are about a hundred French jihadists in this part of Syria. France does not want to repatriate them, but Kurdish officials no longer want to handle these foreign prisoners.

“They are expensive for us.” The Kurdish authorities say they have judged about 700 jihadists, all Syrians. Here, the judicial system is not recognized by anyone, but it is its rules that apply. No foreigners has yet been brought before these courts. “We are waiting for instructions from their governments,” said Abdulbasset Ausso, one of the leaders of the judiciary. At the microphone of Europe 1, the man explains that he begins to be impatient. “It can not last forever, we do not have enough space and they cost us dearly, their food, their care … We must take care of it,” he denounces. “And if we judge them, some of these foreigners will be sentenced to one year in prison. After this year in prison, I release them where? They are your citizens, they have French passports. Take responsibility,” blurted he, arguing that “Russia has taken over almost all its prisoners, including those who fought”.
All of these ISIS members can be liberated. “Other local officials go further: Mizkeen Ahmad, an influential political advisor in the Kurdish administration, is angry at the coalition since the capture of the Kurdish city of Afrine by Turkey. For her, it is a betrayal that must have a consequence. “Europe has not helped us in Afrin, why we would continue to take care of your ISIS prisoners ? Thousands have been captured and no one has supported us. Which act, “she said at the microphone of Europe 1.” We can release all these members of ISIS. We will release them outside our borders … in which countries will they go, and where will they commit an attack? No matter, you have to make that decision, “threatens Mizkeen Ahmad.

For now, it’s just a threat, but it’s clear. “Westerners are defending their interests here,” she says. “Let them never forget that we have ours too.”
