The failure of the donors — mainly the US and the EU — to demand accountability and transparency from the Palestinian Authority has deprived Palestinians of a significant part of the funds.

It has also encouraged Palestinian leaders to continue pocketing millions of dollars, enriching their private and hidden bank accounts.

The Palestinians, of course, are the primary victims in this story.

  2. The basic argument is as follows: Islam should not be considered a religion in UK law because it does not meet certain criteria laid down by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) which is currently the highest authority in our legal system.

In a case going back to 1982 it was stated that: in order to qualify for protection under Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) (Freedom of thought, conscience and religion), religious and philosophical beliefs must be “worthy of respect in a democratic society, be not incompatible with human dignity and not conflict with the fundamental rights of others.”

One of the most dangerous developments of the last few decades has been the subversion of our universities by radicals who in the 1960s first tried to burn them down and then, after this strategy of destruction failed, decided to get on the tenure track to take them over. Their generational long march succeeded, possibly beyond their wildest expectations. With the exception of a few rear guard actions by brave conservative students, American higher education is now an indoctrination center for cultural Marxism, identity racism and other anti-American ideas.

But the left’s demolition project is not yet complete. To make the victory complete, it must take over all of American education, including the schooling of our youngest and most vulnerable students. This effort is now well advanced as radical leftists use their control of the university Ed schools and the teacher unions as a base to extend their ideological campaigns into the K-12 system. Their shock troops include teachers, administrators and textbook publishers and feature “theorists” such as former Weatherman Bill Ayers (who reinvented himself as an eminent Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois when his days as a terrorist had ended) who provide the manuals on “teaching for social justice” that target teacher training programs and ultimately children as early as kindergarten for radical indoctrination.

“Hundreds gathered in Baghdad to protest the upcoming visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Protesters gathered Friday afternoon following midday prayers, some carrying signs calling him a war criminal, blaming the kingdom for crimes committed by the Islamic State group in Iraq.

Prince Mohammed is planning to visit Iraq in the near future, according to the office of Iraq’s prime minister, but a date has not yet been set.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia have long had a strained relationship, but recently mended ties with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi visiting Riyadh last year after diplomatic ties between the two counties were restored in 2016.

  7. Posters Target Neo-Nazis at Boston and Chicago Campuses
“How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough.”

    Sara Dogan

Students at several Chicago and Boston-area universities awoke this week to find their campuses papered with posters exposing members of Students for Justice in Palestine as neo-Nazis and supporters of anti-Israel terrorism. The posters were designed by the David Horowitz Freedom and were placed in the early morning hours on the campuses of Harvard University, Brandeis University and Tufts University in the Boston area and at the University of Chicago and DePaul University in Chicago.

The posters reveal comments that student activists affiliated with SJP have made on social media praising Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and calling for the extermination of the Jews.

    These statements include:

“How many Jews died in the Holocaust? Not enough”

“Wow White Jews are so entitled LMFAOOO Please die.”

“Had to write about a leader for DCL class. Wrote about Hitler. Cuz he’s a boss.”

The military did not say where the attack took place or give the nationalities of the other casualties but it came hours after a local Syrian official said that a roadside bomb exploded in the tense, mixed Arab-Kurdish town of Manbij that is not far from the border with Turkey.

  9. 2 notorious British IS members say fair trial is impossible (abcnews, Mar 30, 2018)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/notorious-members-revoking-uk-citizenship-unfair-54126797

“Two British members of the Islamic State group believed to have belonged to a cell notorious for beheading hostages in northern Syria said Friday that their home country’s revoking of their citizenship denies them the possibility of fair trial. One of them said the killings of captives was “regrettable” and could have been avoided.

The men were allegedly among four British jihadis who made up the IS cell nicknamed “The Beatles” by surviving captives because of their English accents. The cell became known for its brutality, holding in captivity more than 20 Western hostages, and torturing and killing several, including American, British and Japanese journalists and aid workers, in 2014 and 2015.

The two men, El Shafee Elsheikh and Alexanda Amon Kotey, spoke to The Associated Press from their detention Friday in northern Syria in their first interview with the media. They were captured in early January in eastern Syria by the Kurdish-led U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces amid the collapse of IS.

Though they spoke of their membership in the Islamic State group, they did not admit to belonging to the cell or to have been involved in any of the kidnappings or killings.

    Elsheikh called the allegations “propaganda.”

Asked about the beheadings of American journalist James Foley and other victims, Kotey said many in IS “would have disagreed” with the killings “on the grounds that there is probably more benefit in them being political prisoners.”

“As for my position, I didn’t see any benefit. It was something that was regrettable,” he added. He also blamed Western governments for failing to negotiate, noting that some hostages were released for ransoms.

The leader of the cell, Mohammed Emwazi, was dubbed “Jihadi John” in the British media after he appeared, masked, in a string of videos showing beheadings of the hostages. He was killed in a U.S.-led coalition drone strike in 2015 in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the de facto IS capital. Another member, Aine Lesley Davis, was arrested in Turkey and convicted there in 2017, sentenced to seven years in prison.

Elsheikh, whose family came to Britain from Sudan when he was a child, was a mechanic from White City in west London. Kotey, who is of Ghanaian and Greek-Cypriot descent and converted to Islam in his 20s, is from London’s Paddington neighborhood. Both have been interrogated by U.S. officials since their capture.

Elsheikh traveled to Syria in 2012, initially joining al-Qaida’s branch before moving on to IS, according to the U.S. State Department’s listing of the two men for terrorism sanctions. It said he “earned a reputation for waterboarding, mock executions and crucifixions while serving as an (IS) jailer.”

Kotey served as a guard for the execution cell and “likely engaged in the group’s executions and exceptionally cruel torture methods, including electronic shock and waterboarding,” the State Department said.

In the interview, the two men denounced the media for the spreading allegations of the “Beatles” cell, at one point depicting the accusations as concocted as a pretext to kill them with drone strikes in Syria.

“No fair trial, when I am ‘the Beatle’ in the media. No fair trial,” Elsheikh said.

They also denounced as “illegal” the British government’s decision in February to strip them of citizenship. The decision was widely reported in British media, though officials have not confirmed or denied it, citing privacy rules.

The revocation of citizenship exposes them to “rendition and torture,” Elsheikh said, “being taken to any foreign land and treated in anyway and having nobody to vouch for you.”

“When you have these two guys who don’t even have any citizenship …if we just disappear one day, where is my mom going to go and say where is my son,” he said.

The capture of the two men has sparked a debate over where and how to prosecute them. The U.S. has been pressing for the home countries of foreign jihadis in Iraq and Syria to take their nationals for trial. Britain’s defense secretary has said they should not be allowed back into the country. Former captives of the cell and families of its victims have called on Elsheikh and Kotey to be given a fair trial, whether in the United States or Britain.”

  10. A Muslim Committed the Worst Anti-Semitic Hate Crime of 2018
And no one is talking about it.
    March 30, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield
The worst anti-Semitic hate crime of 2018 took place outside a restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Izmir Koch, an Ahiska Turkish migrant who had already been in trouble with the law, allegedly demanded to know if there were any Jews around. A man who been at the restaurant replied that he was Jewish. Izmir punched him in the head, and then kicked him while he lay on the ground.

The victim, who wasn’t actually Jewish, suffered bruised ribs and a fractured eye socket.

Now a federal grand jury has indicted Izmir for committing a hate crime. The violent assault was the single worst anti-Semitic hate crime of 2018. So far. And it’s generated very little interest from the same activists and media outlets who had been accusing the White House of not acting against anti-Semitism.

Izmir had already been facing two counts of felonious assault, one involving a deadly weapon, from 2016. He was found guilty a month after the Cincinnati assault, along with a number of comrades and family members. That assault had taken place outside their trucking company in Dayton, Ohio.

A former employee had come to collect the money that he was owed, and Izmir Koch, Baris Koch, Sevil Shakhmanov and Mustafa Shakhmanov allegedly assaulted him with crowbars, and possibly brass knuckles and a baseball bat. The victim, who apparently had a knife, fought back.

  11. Barry Barely Cared About Martin Luther King, Jr.
But “Dreams from My Father” author touted Nation of Islam, posed with Farrakhan.
    March 30, 2018
    Lloyd Billingsley

Back in January, President Donald Trump dedicated his weekly address to Martin Luther King Jr. “Dr. King’s dream is our dream, it is the American dream, it’s the promise stitched into the fabric of our nation, etched into the hearts of our people and written into the soul of humankind,” the president said. “It is the dream of a world where people are judged by who they are, not how they look or where they come from.”

Democrats and their media allies didn’t like it, and as the 50th anniversary of King’s assassination approached, one pundit slapped a gag order on the president.

“When it Comes To Honoring Martin Luther King, Maybe Trump Should Skip It,” headlined a March 7 Miami Herald commentary by Leonard Pitts Jr. “Now April 4 looms, and it occurs to me there is literally nothing Donald Trump can say that will be equal to the moment.” Unlike Clinton and Bush, according to Pitts, Trump “has no credibility here.”

By contrast, “President Obama seemed tailored for such moments, as if sent from some celestial Central Casting to testify to the possibilities and potential inherent in black lives.” That invites a look at what that the celestially cast president said about King on his way up the ladder.

  12. Leftist Fascist Reign at U of Penn
Professor told to “cease the heresy.”
    March 30, 2018
    Jack Kerwick

It seems that it’s impossible to pass through a single week without hearing about multiple outrages in academia. And it seems just as obvious that the most obscene of these outrages tend to unfold at the most prestigious institutions of higher learning.

Take, for instance, the University of Pennsylvania. Penn is an Ivy-league school located in the city of Philadelphia. It has recently been in the news because of “controversial” comments made by one of Penn’s veteran faculty members, the Robert Mundheim Professor of Law, Amy Wax.

Back in September of last year, Wax appeared on The Glenn Show, the on-line podcast of Brown University professor, Glenn Loury. During their exchange over some of the deleterious consequences of those race-based preferential treatment policies favoring black student applicants, Wax shared with her host—who is black—some of the observations that she’s made over the duration of her career at Penn.

“Here’s a very inconvenient fact, Glenn: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black student graduate in the top quarter of the class, and rarely, rarely, in the top half. I can think of one or two students who scored in the first half of my required first-year Civil Procedure course.”

Wax and Loury were discussing what’s come to be known as the “mismatch” effect of so-called affirmative action: In their eagerness to satisfy their quotas for black students, colleges and universities wind up mismatching students with institutions. So, Penn, say, recruits black students that, while they would’ve performed excellently at a second-tier school, lack competitiveness at an Ivy-league school. This move on the part of the first-tier schools in turn has ramifications that affect the whole available pool of black students, mismatching them with institutions throughout the entire system.

  13. Danny Glover: Hollywood’s Biggest Useful Idiot
Leftist actor visits Caracas to praise socialist regime starving its people.
    March 30, 2018
    David Paulin

Socialist Venezuela has become a workers’ hell – not the paradise Hugo Chávez promised. The poor literally pick through garbage to find food. Yet left-wing Hollywood actor and director Danny Glover was oblivious to this misery during his most recent good-will visit to Caracas, the capital, where he hobnobbed with President Nicolás Maduro and praised the socialist regime. The 71-year-old Glover, however, said nothing about Venezuela’s dire shortages of food, medicines, and even toilet paper – calamities that have made President Maduro widely despised by the poor majority in oil-rich yet impoverished Venezuela.

Shocking news reports emerge daily from Venezuela about its collapsing economy. Has Glover not been paying attention? Poor Venezuelans not only eat from garbage piles but are fleeing abroad, having given up on what the late President Hugo Chávez called “Twenty-First-Century Socialism.” They are joining unending columns of refugees trekking under a blazing into neighboring Colombia. Human rights groups and regional leaders call it a “humanitarian crisis.” Yet when speaking at the presidential palace on Saturday, March 24, Glover nevertheless rattled off a list of Venezuela-style socialism’s supposed accomplishments – comments dutifully reported by local media outlets.
“It is a privilege to be here,” beamed Glover, explaining that Venezuela’s revolution was about “uplifting human beings” and creating a “collective humanity.” It was a let-them-eat cake moment – or perhaps that should be “let them eat garbage.”And it was interesting to see who failed to show up: none of Glover’s left-wing Hollywood buddies were on hand. They once made a beeline to Caracas to hobnob with Hugo Chávez and praise his socialist revolution, with the two most famous being Oliver Stone, the director and filmmaker; and actor and filmmaker Sean Penn. Both have kept a low-profile regarding Venezuela since Hugo Chávez’s socialist revolution turned into a nightmare.

  16. Shapiro Calls For Hogg To Apologize To GOP, Loesch, Rubio

On Thursday, Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro weighed in on the public feud between Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Parkland student activist David Hogg. Following Ingraham’s apology for a Wednesday tweet about Hogg “whining” about getting rejected by four California colleges, Shapiro said he was “looking forward” to Hogg issuing his own apologies for the “viciousness” with which he’s attacked those who disagree with him.

On Wednesday, Ingraham posted a tweet linking to an article about Hogg telling TMZ that he’d recently been rejected by four California colleges. In response, Hogg called for a boycott campaign against twelve advertisers of her show. By Thursday morning, at least three of the advertisers had caved. Around noon, Ingraham issued an apology “for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland,” noting that she had welcomed the activist on her show before and would gladly have him on again. Hogg rejected the apology, describing her actions as “mudslinging at children,” and issued a demand:

Parkland student Kyle Kashuv claimed in a Monday tweet that “hammers and fists” are used to kill more people than AR-15s.

The AR-15 is most widely owned rifle in America, owned by at least 10 million people, and is used less times per year to kill people than hammers and fists are used to kill people according to the FBI. Also, according to DHS, handguns are the weapon of choice for mass shooters.

  19. Should Terrorists Be Questioned About Their Faith?
Home > World > UK > Should Terrorists Be Questioned About Their Faith?
By Meira Svirsky Thursday, March 29, 2018

The UK’s independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, Max Hill, is at it again – twisting himself into a convoluted pretzel seemingly to be able to come up with the highest level of political correctness.

Hill previously told us that it is “fundamentally wrong” to use the words “Islamist terrorism” to describe, well…Islamist terrorism. Hill believed that the word “terrorism” should not be linked “to any of the world religions” and that instead, the words “Daesh-inspired terrorism” should be used.

At the time, we argued this display of political correctness was yet another attempt by a Western government to put its proverbial head in the sand about the real and ongoing threat we all face – not just from ISIS but from all Islamist terrorists.

We also said not making the distinction leads to more racism and anti-Muslim bigotry, since the average person understands all too well the scourge of Islamist terrorism.

Now Hill says it’s not “appropriate to ask detailed religious questions in every case where a Muslims has been arrested on suspicion of [terrorism].”

Hill made the remark after concluding his inquiry into the police investigation of the Westminster Bridge attack in which five people were killed. (In that investigation, Hill ruled the police acted appropriately.)

    https://clarionproject.org/terrorists-questioned-faith/

    • Should Terrorists Be Questioned About Their Faith?

Do you mean to say that people actually get paid real money to come up with questions like this one? Yeesh!

Has this modern day Pollyanna never heard of taqiyya? Religiously sanctioned deceit is one of Islam’s most dysfunctional elements. Without using fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) you will never know if you’re being told the truth. It is this diabolical aspect that makes Islam so totally incompatible with Western Civilization.

  20. Is Islamism a Problem in America’s Workplaces

The first conference in the U.S. on the subject of Political Islam in the Workplace will take place in Washington, D.C. on April 26, 2018 The event is co-sponsored by Forum on Islamic Radicalism and Management (FIRM), London Center for Policy Research and American Foundation for Democracy. Clarion Project spoke to event co-ordinator Dr. Leslie Shaw of FIRM:

Clarion: Back in 2016, CAIR described this planned conference as Islamophobic. Can you comment on that?

Leslie Shaw: CAIR’s opinion is driven by sectarian self-interest and promotion of a socio-political agenda.

Clarion: But the conference focuses only on Islamic and not other forms of radicalism.

Shaw: We are looking at one segment of a wide phenomenon. Other forms of radicalism exist — Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, left-wing, right-wing, animal rights activists, anti-globalists, eco-warriors, neo-luddites — but Islamic radicalism poses a greater threat than all of the others put together.

Clarion: Why political Islam in the workplace specifically?

Shaw: There is a plethora of conferences on the subject of radicalism in general and Islamic radicalism in particular, but they are usually restricted to specialists in certain areas. I attended a conference in Brussels on April 22 on the challenge of jihadist radicalization in Europe. There were over 250 people there and over 20 speakers but not one person from the business world. We want to open the subject up to corporations, because they are in the front line.

  21. Why Christians Need Self Rule in Iraq

    by Uzay Bulut
    March 30, 2018 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/12099/christians-self-rule-iraq

On March 8, three members of an Assyrian Christian family — Dr. Hisham Maskoni, his wife, Dr. Shadha Malik Dano, and her elderly mother — were stabbed to death in their home in Baghdad. The two doctors, who had left Iraq, the country of their birth, in 2003, returned five years ago to work at St. Raphael Hospital in the capital.

The victims, who lived in a neighborhood controlled by a Shiite militia, had been tortured, according to Ashur Sargon Eskrya, president of the Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, in an interview with Gatestone.

Eskrya also said that the motive behind the killings — as in the case of an innocent Christian killed in Baghdad in February — had not been established, and that so far, no suspects have been arrested. “These murders,” he added, “are giving us yet another signal that there is no place for Assyrian Christians in Iraq.”

An indigenous people of the Middle East, Assyrians have been targeted and murdered over the centuries for their religion and ethnicity. Yet they were once the rulers of the ancient Assyrian Empire. The traditional Assyrian homeland contains parts of Turkey, Iran, Syria and Iraq.

    But, of course.

So Laura Ingraham tweets the mildest of tweets, in this case about the news that David Hogg of Parkland student anti-gun activism fame, has been rejected by various colleges. This news of Hogg’s rejections — something totally normal in the world of being admitted to X or Y college — was put out there by Hogg himself in this talk with TMZ. Ingraham twitted by tweet:

David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)

Hogg, who has made extensive use of his First Amendment free speech rights, immediately turns around and demands that a free press that displeases him — Ingraham’s Fox News show — be “boycotted” by advertisers.

Immediately the adults who sponsor Ingraham’s show stand up and do his bidding.

Nearly 400 sheriffs across the country are calling on the Republican-controlled Congress to follow through on President Trump’s popular immigration agenda by securing the nation’s porous borders and criminalizing sanctuary cities.

Sheriff Thomas M. Hodgson of Bristol County, Massachusetts, has gathered with about 380 sheriffs from across America, representing 40 states, to ask Congress to push Trump’s agenda that would help decrease and end illegal immigration to the United States.

“Enough is enough,” the sheriffs write. They continue, saying:

Application for ‘March For Our Lives’ permit was made months before Parkland school shooting
Posted on March 30, 2018 by Dr. Eowyn | 14 Comments
On March 24, 2018, one month and ten days after the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, student-led pro-gun control “March For Our Lives” demonstrations took place across America, including in Washington, D.C.

The word “Our” in March For Our Lives refers to students.

  25. The Vatican has scrambled to clarify comments made by Pope Francis to a well-known Italian journalist that appeared to deny the existence of hell.

The Holy See issued a terse statement saying a lengthy article published in La Repubblica on Wednesday by Eugenio Scalfari, 93, the newspaper’s founder, was “the fruit of his reconstruction” and not “a faithful transcription of the Holy Father’s words”.

While the Vatican conceded that Scalfari, an atheist who struck up a friendship with Francis in 2013, had held a private meeting with the pontiff before the Easter weekend, it said an interview had not been granted.

  26. Team Obama’s smear machine-in-exile mobilizes to destroy Iran-deal critics

“John Bolton is at the nexus of Russia’s interference in our democracy and the NRA’s reckless agenda”: The sentence is so bonkers, so pristine in its conspiratorial insanity that it should one day grace a Museum of Natural History exhibit on early-21st-century US politics.

Yet it wasn’t from an anonymous troll, or some Hollywood figure with tons of followers but little common sense. It was tweeted by National Security Action — an outfit run by former top Obama officials.

Described by the Washington Post as a “political strike force,” this NSA is a coterie of veterans from the Obama White House and Hillary Clinton’s campaign, acting as a shadow government to weaponize foreign-policy disputes. It’s a fever-swamp-in-exile.

And it exemplifies everything that’s wrong with top Democrats’ partisan madness in the Age of Trump.

The co-chairs are Ben Rhodes and Jake Sullivan. Rhodes, you’ll recall, was the reckless novice Barack Obama made a top adviser who proceeded to create what he called an “echo chamber” of lies, distortions and spin about the Iran nuclear deal for pro-Obama reporters and think-tankers to regurgitate.

…These former Obama advisers think they’re protecting one legacy, but really they’re creating a separate one. In their willingness to cross any line to slime public officials who differ, they are encouraging the public to reinterpret their time in office not as a high-minded search for truth and security but as a series of partisan exercises soaked in the politics of personal destruction.

    • Obama said he was going to fundamentally change America, he succeeded, he changed it for the worse, he changed the way everyone looks at the government. It is unlikely that many people will ever fully trust the US Government again, our allies won’t, they will all have to think about how if a Democrat wins the election for President they will be stabbed in the back. They also have to think about how no matter how much a Republican President may (not all of those will be trustworthy) not be able to help our allies because the Propaganda Media and the Democrat Slime Machine will work to prevent the US doing anything that will help the cause of freedom.

During the Cold War the parties fought and disagreed but we always knew that they were patriotic and were interested in seeing the US survive as a free nation. Now the Clintons (who are pretty far to the left themselves) are so crooked that they have driven the Democrats so far to the left they make the Communist Party USA look semi-rational. We are facing what historians are going to call the greatest danger in the history of the US. We have had internal enemies during all of our wars but they never had the power they now hold. We don’t know who in the government to trust and who to fire, all we know is that if we lose this war the light of freedom will be extinguished for many decades and probably many centuries.

      • During the Cold War the parties fought and disagreed but we always knew that they were patriotic and were interested in seeing the US survive as a free nation.

This was commonly known as the “Loyal Minority” who, even if they disagreed with you politically, could still be relied upon to do the best thing for America.

We’ve had no such thing for three decades (or more).

  27. Sweden’s chief prosecutor admits “police can’t enforce the law in areas controlled by Muslim migrants”

‘A war zone’: Riots and burnt cars in Stockholm migrant district. Sweden’s chief prosecutor has warned a district in the capital with a large immigrant population is becoming a “war zone”.
Sweden is turning its back on its own culture, All in the name of multiculturalism.
Sweden wants to adopt the culture of immigrants to show respect and make them feel welcome.
Most of the immigrants who arrived in Sweden are not refugees from Syria. They are Muslim immigrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East who exploited the flow of immigrants from Syria to invade Europe as “refugees.”

“President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has criticized certain ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) members for “speaking negatively about the economic situation in Turkey.”

“It has saddened us to hear some of our friends among us being so wrong, giving statements indicating that the economic situation in Turkey is problematic and doing so in public meetings,” Erdo?an said at a meeting of party provincial heads in Ankara on March 30.

“There is such a big success story to tell. We reached 11.2 percent [GDP growth] in the third quarter [of 2017] and are speaking about 7 percent or 7.5 percent growth [for 2017]. But they are still talking about such negative things,” he added.

His comments came after the Turkish Statistical Institution (TÜ?K) has announced the country’s 2017 growth rate as 7.4 percent, marking the fastest expansion in four years with robust growth in industry, services and construction…”
