  1. Afrin clashes RAW: FSA allied with Turkish troops engage in combat on city outskirts

Footage filmed on Tuesday allegedly showed the Free Syrian Army (FSA), allied with the Turkish army, engaging in combat in the village of Qarah Bash (Kocakirin) on the outskirts of Afrin city, as Turkish Armed Forces recently claimed they have surrounded the city with the aid of the FSA.

Sheikh “Abu Qusay” delivered a Friday sermon in Jerusalem, in which he addressed the “dweller of the White House” and said: “We will storm your White House, stomp on your head, kill your soldiers, and capture your land,” as promised by the Prophet Muhammad. The sermon was posted on the Internet on December 22.

    • This is probably why Kim is stalling for time, this and the North Korean Base in Syria. I doubt that Kim has any intention to give up his nukes, he may be hiding some of them in Syria while China completes is Pearl Necklace around India. A major war is coming as are civil wars in all Western Nations, I doubt if they will hold off until China is ready and they are going allow a lot of Wanna Be Caliphs to make major moves. Once the Civil Wars start China will have to move, they can’t wait until they are ready because they can’t be sure their friends are going to win in the majority of the Western Nations.

      • A Chinese naval base at the mouth of the Persian Gulf is a sure recipe for disaster. It doesn’t help that, in combination with the base in Sri Lanka, this effectively brackets the Subcontinent’s naval waters.

I dread to think what it would cost to maintain a permanent, off-shore deep water naval presence. Fortunately, we already have a military installation in Oman. America may have to invest in establishing a naval port as well to counter Red China’s base at Gwadar.

The Persian Gulf is an already glowing tripwire for WWIII. China is really pressing its luck.

        • Like J.E. Dyer says look at the map, we need a naval base in Oman and we need to beef up the forces out of Diego Garcia. To do this we will need a Navy that is much larger then what we now have. I would say that the world is stumbling into a major war but it is more like the hesitation waltz since one side in the coming war is doing this deliberately. India will be facing a 3 front war. 1 in the mountains against China, 1 in the mountains against Afghanistan and 1 against Pakistan. I doubt if their new “friendship” with Iran will do them any good.

We can’t let China take over that much territory in the Indochina region but going up against them will probably start he civil war in the US.

  6. Scots neo Nazi guilty of plotting terror attacks (express, Mar 14, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/931973/scottish-neo-nazi-edinburgh-crown-court-convicted-terror-attack-planning

“AN “exemplary neo Nazi” who acquired components for bombs and who kept a list of Scottish mosque addresses has been convicted of planning terror attacks.

Connor Ward bought hundreds of ball bearings which could be used in pipe bombs, and rocket tubes to fire projectiles.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard he also had an arsenal of weapons including a stun gun, knuckle dusters, knives and metal bars.

Ward, who was jailed for three years in 2012 for possessing an explosive substance, also had a number of deactivated bullets.

Police discovered the hoard after a tip-off that the 25-year-old had broken strict firearms legislation by buying a stun gun from abroad.

Detectives who searched Ward’s home in Banff, Aberdeenshire, also found a mobile phone signal jamming device and a machine for detecting hidden listening devices.

On his computer, the loner had downloaded tens of thousands of documents on firearms and survival techniques as well as files containing extreme right-wing propaganda and military tactics.

A Google Maps-style file containing the postal addresses of five Muslim places of worship in the Aberdeen area was also recovered.

Ward, a former psychiatric patient, claimed he was suffering from mental illness and only wanted to survive the apocalypse.

But yesterday, jurors convicted him of breaching the Terrorism Act 2000 and the Terrorism Act 2006.

Lord Burns adjourned sentence until next month for the court to obtain reports on Ward’s character…”

  7. reuters – Turkey’s Erdogan says hopes Syria’s Afrin town to be captured by Wednesday evening

ANKARA (Reuters) – President Tayyip Erdogan said he hoped Turkey’s military and its rebel allies would completely capture the northern Syrian town of Afrin by Wednesday evening, a day after the armed forces said it had encircled the town.

Speaking to local administrators in Ankara, Erdogan also said civilians in Afrin town were being evacuated in cars through a special corridor, as Turkish forces made substantial advances against Kurdish fighters in their nearly two-month-old offensive.

  8. Libya’s top prosecutor says groups smuggling fuel to Europe (abcnews, Mar 14, 2018)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/libyas-top-prosecutor-groups-smuggling-fuel-europe-53743962

“Libya’s top prosecutor says criminal groups are smuggling Libyan fuel on board fishing vessels to Europe.

Al-Sadiq al-Sour told reporters on Wednesday their investigations revealed that smugglers use sea routes to move subsidized fuel from the western coastal cities of Zuwara and Zawiya to Malta, Italy, Turkey, Spain and Greece.

He says hundreds of fuel stations are involved in the smuggling of their portions of subsidized diesel and that smugglers have made at least $100 million in the past three years.

Since the 2011 overthrow and killing of longtime dictator Moammer Gadhafi, the oil-rich Libya has plunged into chaos.

The vast North African country is home to competing governments and parliaments, with real power held by an array of militias, many of which make money from smuggling and trafficking migrants.”

  9. Germany: 3 Syrians Sentenced to Prison for Belonging to ISIS (aawsat, Mar 14, 2018)
    https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1204826/germany-3-syrians-sentenced-prison-belonging-isis

“A German court on Monday sentenced three Syrians to years-long jail terms for belonging to ISIS and forming sleeper cell in Germany to carry out terrorist operations.

The oldest of the accused, identified as 27-year-old Mohamed A., was given the longest sentence of six-and-a-half years by Hamburg’s higher regional court, and his 19- and 20-year-old co-accused, minors at the time of the acts, received prison terms of three and a half years each.

The verdicts were issued after the court found that the three Syrians had infiltrated into Germany in November 2015 with the waves of refugees, following ISIS orders to form a terrorist cell.

ISIS instructed them to form a sleeper cell and await further orders.

To reach Germany, the men traveled via Turkey and Greece — using the same route as hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing war-torn Syria at the time.

The accused were given fake passports, cash and mobile phones from ISIS, according to the court, and used the same smuggling network as the assailants who had carried out the ISIS-claimed attacks in Paris in 2015 that left 130 people dead.

There were “many parallels” between the German sleeper cell and the Paris cell, the presiding judge said.

While reading the verdicts, the judge stressed the importance of international cooperation against terrorism.

The court also received protocols of telephone conversations between the three defendants from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

“Only through this cooperation was the cell activity highlighted,” the judge said.

It is assumed that the Americans handed over to the German side pictures of the three defendants, and that the German authorities identified them as asylum seekers in Germany through the electronic search system for terrorists.

The trial of the three Syrians began on June 13, 2017. The three remained silent until a hearing on February 16 when the oldest surprised the court when he confessed in order to receive a mild sentence.”

News broke on March 13 that a Florida teen had been arrested, after stabbing to death his friend and attempting to kill his friend’s mother and another peer at a sleepover. The suspect confessed afterwards that he had recently converted to Islam and his beliefs motivated him to murder.

While the horrific violent act was covered by local news in Jupiter, Florida, and nationally March 14 by Fox News Channel, the big three networks have ignored the story thus far.

Florida’s The Palm Beach Post reported March 13 that “a Jupiter teen said his Muslim faith led him to fatally stab a boy on his 13th birthday and injure two others at a sleepover Sunday night.”

  11. ‘No choice but to leave’: Saudi Arabia kicks out thousands of Yemeni workers (middleeasteye, Mar 14, 2018)
    http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/yemen-migrant-workers-saudi-arabia-deported-1860613236

“Saudi Arabia has been accused of forcing tens of thousands of Yemeni expatriates back home into poverty and war with the enforcement of tough new rules on migrant workers under Mohammed bin Salman’s vision for a “Saudis first” economy.

The crown prince’s “Vision 2030” policy includes two key elements affecting the millions of foreign workers in Saudi Arabia – punishing monthly residency fees introduced last July and a new “Saudisation” policy that forbids employment of foreign workers in 19 job categories.

The double-whammy has resulted in the exit of tens of thousands of Yemenis since December, and officials say they expect more of the estimated two million Yemenis still in Saudi Arabia to follow.

Those who return find themselves in a country breaking apart in a gruelling war between the Houthi movement and a Saudi-led coalition – a conflict that has already killed more than 10,000 people, left millions on the brink of starvation, plunged the economy into crisis and led to an epidemic of cholera and outbreaks of diphtheria…”

    • The British government is failing the country’s Muslim communities by conflating the issues of extremism and security with integration, the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) warned on Wednesday

Jaw-dropping taqiyya. Those “issues of extremism” fold directly into national security and, concomitantly, factor heavily regarding integration. Any attempt to decouple these obviously related components is an insult to the intelligence of thinking people.

“Egyptian authorities have published a list of phone numbers for citizens to report false news and rumours being spread by the media about the security situation in the country.

A statement released by the public prosecution said the move attempts to control deliberate lies and rumours published and broadcast on various media platforms including social media.

Citizens have been invited to send their personal details and complaints via text message and WhatsApp in the latest attempt to control the public discourse in the lead up to the elections.

The government has already barred journalists from conducting polls, asking Egyptians who they plan to vote for, arrested several reporters and blocked a number of news websites in the growing war against free speech in the country.”

  14. Qatar signs Turkey naval military base agreement (memo, Mar 14, 2018)
    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20180314-qatar-signs-turkey-naval-military-base-agreement/

“Qatar has signed an agreement with Turkey to establish a naval base, Khaleej Online reported today.

The agreement came during the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX) 2018, which ends today, which was attended by international investors from the US, Europe and China for potential ventures.

Turkey has won a tender to establish the base in northern Qatar, general Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Futtais Al Marri, commander of Qatar’s joint special forces said. The naval base will include a training centre that will primarily take on maritime patrols and monitoring. No other details of the base were revealed.

Turkey will also export six armed, unmanned aerial vehicles or drones to Qatar’s armed forces, and give training services to Qatar’s forces by next year. Qatar wishes to purchase the drones for its own surveillance and tactical reconnaissance needs. Turkey will be assisting a long-term strategy to harness defence knowledge with an agreement to establish an academy for Qatar in association with Turkey’s Piri Reis University.

Qatar has taken a strategic decision to increase its defence and regional security amid an ongoing air, land and sea blockade led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The blockade was levied over extremism and terrorism allegations, which Qatar categorically denied as baseless.

Turkey stepped in, providing Qatar with food and medicine essentials…”

  15. Spain: Two Moroccans Sentenced For Condoning Terrorism (moroccoworldnews, Mar 14, 2018)
    https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2018/03/242399/spain-two-moroccans-sentenced-condoning-terrorism/

“Spain’s National Court, the country’s highest judiciary body, recently sentenced two Moroccan nationals to a two-year prison term for inciting terrorism.

The accused had allegedly been under close surveillance since 2014, with Spanish authorities closely their online activity.

Fouad Bouchiman and Ilyass Chentouf, the two Moroccan nationals aged 27 and 20, respectively, are said to have posted and shared online content promoting terrorism and glorifying terrorist organizations like the Islamic State.

El Pais, commenting on the National Court’s press release about the topic, reported that Bouchiman and Chentouf had “jihadist files” in their electronic gadgets, which they latere published on Facebook.

Bouchiman is reported to have used “six or seven” different Facebook profiles in 2016, on which he reportedly expressed his support for terrorism, condoning violence and glorifying Daesh in his posts, according to El Pais. “Victory will come from the hands of the Emir of believers, Bakr al Bahgdadi,” read one of his posts, with El Pais pointing to the fact that even Moroccan’s profile picture featured a popular Daesh fighter.

For his part, Ilyass Chentouf is said to have praised Bin Laden, the famed Al-Qaida leader killed by American Special Forces in 2011. “May Allah have mercy upon you, oh lion of jihad,” read one of Chentouf’s numerous posts supporting jihadism.

Despite the court’s condemnation of the two Moroccans, it stressed that “there was no proof that the accused were involved in activities of terrorist organizations, or were in touch with members of a terrorist cell.”

The court’s verdict specified that Bouchiman and Chentouf are sentenced for “ideological radicalization,” which entails sharing violent content and condoning terrorist beliefs or ideas. The court, however, acquitted the accused “terrorist charges,” as they “had no intention to travel to combat zones or recruit others to do so.””

  17. Black Racism Doesn’t Get a Pass
Farrakhan is only a symptom of black racism.
    March 14, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The first black president, numerous black members of congress and key intersectional leaders, the folks most likely to lecture us on racism, were caught hanging out with an anti-Semitic racist. And now the media is full of hatesplaining hot takes justifying alliances with Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam.

Most of them come down to two themes. The Nation of Islam does some good things. And condemning racism is a lot harder when they’re your racists. Or as Terrell Jermaine Starr 15, “They are our cousins, friends and the dude at the barbershop.” But Klan members were also the cousins, friends and barbershop dudes of white southerners. Yet they were expected to disavow them.

Why can’t we expect black people to disavow their racist cousins the way that whites are expected to?

Black activists condemning white racists isn’t anti-racism. Black activists disavowing black racists is. Anyone can condemn a racist from another race who hates them. There’s no inner struggle in that.

    https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/269569/black-racism-doesnt-get-pass-daniel-greenfield

    • Why can’t we expect black people to disavow their racist cousins the way that whites are expected to?

These “moderate Blacks” would then have to explain themselves, something that a lot of Black people are not very good at. Even without explaining themselves openly, sorting out their own agendas, biases, and prejudices would require a more-than-modest amount of introspection. Something that never has been too popular with Blacks and, recently, has lost significant ground almost everywhere in the West.

  18. CAIR vs. Ex-Muslim Anni Cyrus
Hamas-linked group targets human rights activist for telling unwelcome truths.
    March 14, 2018
    Robert Spencer

The Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) sent out a press release last Friday, calling upon the American Legion Nonantum Post 440 in Newton, Massachusetts to cancel an event featuring Aynaz Anni Cyrus, an ex-Muslim from Iran. Cyrus’ crime? She knows too much about Islam, and particularly about the institutionalized mistreatment of women under Islamic law, and isn’t afraid to speak frankly about what she knows.

Said CAIR-MA Executive Director John Robbins: “While every American has the right to free speech – even the kind of bigoted and misinformed speech offered by Ms. Cyrus – credible organizations like the American Legion should not provide platforms that imply approval or offer credibility to hate-filled views.”

CAIR makes similar efforts to shut down any speaker who speaks unwelcome truths about Islam, jihad and Sharia wherever they’re given a mainstream platform, and always claims that these speakers are “bigoted and misinformed.” When applying these labels to Anni Cyrus, however, CAIR runs into a problem: Cyrus was born in Iran and grew up in the Islamic Republic. Not only was she a Muslim, but she experienced Islam in a nation whose government prides itself on its strict application of Sharia rules.
