  1. Drone On Cuomo, Drones On. Right On! Drone On!

    Haitianbeatz Makak – February 21, 2018
27:24…”…and we are going to “Make America Again!” – Andy Cuomo

      • Where’s the drone with his name on it?
0 gave a real nice one to Iran that made it all the way to Israel. Surely could’ve spared another for domestic security…

        • You know O wouldn’t do anything like that, after Cumo is doing to much damage for O to take him out.

          • I’ve got drones droning on/in my brain.

That strike crossed a threshold. First direct attack by Iran – not via proxy – on Israeli soil. It’ll be a multi-front war, lots of hurt. Getting news meant to boost confidence. Just upbeat preparedness, but it’s all grim:

The longer they hold off, the worse it will be.

Hard as it is, I can do more here. Bring over the littlest kids. Russian-speaking, religious families love every little extra. Free up both parents to serve.

            Sorry for the droning rant…

  3. Tough proposals to crack down on immigration and asylum in France have been unveiled by Emmanuel Macron’s government amid complaints from human rights groups and street protests by some public agents in charge of asylum procedures.
The legislation is aimed at speeding up the process for asylum requests and for expelling migrants who aren unable to claim asylum. It would also double to 90 days the time a person without papers can be kept in a holding centre.
The bill, which criminalises illegal border crossing, has sparked anger from charities who called it oppressive.

  5. James Damore, the author of the widely-publicized Google memo, was interrupted during his remarks at Portland State University over the weekend. Activists planned a walk out and smashed sound equipment as they exited the event hall.

A group called the “Free Thinkers” hosted Damore, along with secular free-speech writer Helen Pluckrose and former Evergreen State College professors Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, to discuss the topic of diversity in the workplace. The panel was moderated by Peter Boghossian, an assistant professor of philosophy at Portland State, who wrote the parody-style hoax academic journal entry “The Conceptual Penis as a Social Construct.”

Leading up to the event, Antifa made threats to the event organizers and posted flyers around campus.

  6. After breaking his pelvis, back and arm in a fall in a Central American jungle, a Hamilton man and his wife say they are now stuck in Costa Rica — because there is no hospital bed for him to come back to in Ontario.

Kristen Ronald says she and her husband David are shocked at the state of the province’s overcrowded health-care system, and just want to go home.

“I just never imagined the one thing that would keep us here is a bed,” she said on the phone from Costa Rica. “It’s so frustrating.”

The couple’s ordeal began on Feb. 15, when they were visiting friends who live in Pavones, a small community located along the southern Pacific Coast.

David and Kristen were sleeping on a large deck at their friend’s home. David woke up at around 2 a.m., and slipped and fell over three-and-a-half metres off the deck, breaking his pelvis, back and arm.

The situation looked dire — but luckily, the friend they were visiting is a paramedic. He managed to get David stable, and they drove the retired Dofasco employee 50 minutes out of the jungle on a makeshift backboard in the back of a pickup truck to the nearest medical facility.

Ronald was rushed into emergency surgery to repair his pelvis. Once that was successful, his insurance company planned to fly him home for a second surgery to repair his back.

There was just one problem — there were no beds available.

  7. Germany deports more rejected Afghan asylum seekers (DW, Feb 21, 2018)
    http://www.dw.com/en/germany-deports-more-rejected-afghan-asylum-seekers/a-42668751

“Despite protests, 14 Afghans deemed dangerous or with criminal status were flown back to Kabul from Bavaria. The send-off marks the 10th round of deportations in Germany since 2016.

The authorities in Munich carried out a fresh round of deportations of Afghan nationals on Tuesday night. Although Germany’s Foreign Office has not submitted a new security assessment for Afghanistan, the deportations are allowed to proceed in the meantime.

The security assessment is at the heart of the controversy over Afghan deportations in Germany, with opponents arguing that the country is still not safe for returnees.

    Criminals targeted

The Afghans were sent back to their homeland aboard a German plane. Although the original list contained 58 individuals, only 14 ultimately flew back. Among them, according to information released by the Interior Ministry on its website, there were six people who had been deemed criminals, three identity thieves, and one dangerous individual.

The Bavarian interior minister, Joachim Hermann, said that “dangerous people, criminals, and identity thieves represent clear security problems in our country.” Moreover, authorities are hoping that the deportations send “a signal that the rule of law is being applied.”

In 2017, Bavaria carried out the deportation of 3,282 people. In particular, of the 121 Afghans that have been deported in Germany, 56 were from Bavaria…”

  8. Ban private schools from teaching Arabic: Danish People’s Party (thelocal, Feb 21, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.dk/20180221/ban-private-schools-from-teaching-arabic-danish-peoples-party

“The anti-immigration Danish People’s Party (DF) wants to ban private schools from teaching the Arabic language.

The party will on Thursday forward a proposal to parliament that would, in practice forbid many Islamic private schools in Denmark from teaching students in their mother tongues.

DF has previously proposed scrapping state support for Islamic private schools.

Now, the party will attempt an alternative approach to restricting the schools, reports Avisen Danmark.

Should the proposal be passed into law, private schools would lose 75 percent of their income if they fail to comply with a demand to only teach European foreign languages.

“There are schools that specifically counteract integration, namely Muslim (sic) private schools. We do not want them to receive state subsidies,” DF’s education spokesperson Alex Ahrendtsen said.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed to Ahrendtsen that the proposal does not contravene Denmark’s constitution, according to Avisen’s report…”

The statement also said that army engineers had uncovered and diffused 41 IEDs, which were planted to target security forces during operations.

“The army’s artillery targeted 179 sites for terrorists during the operations,” the statement added.

El-Rifai’s statement is the 11th military communiqué on the sweeping counter-terrorism operation since it began on 9 February.

In previous statements, the army announced it had also located and seized a number of farms used to grow illegal narcotics.

Since the beginning of the operation, a total of 69 takfiris have been killed and hundreds of criminal suspects have been arrested, according to military statements.
