  1. Israel to legalize slain rabbi’s West Bank outpost

Israel agreed Sunday to recognize a previously unauthorized West Bank outpost as an official settlement following the killing of one of its residents last month.

The Cabinet unanimously approved Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s proposal to evacuate and reestablish the settlement of Havat Gilad after one of its settlers, Rabbi Raziel Shevach, was killed during a drive-by shooting on a West Bank highway on January 9.

“The government will provide the status of Havat Gilad in order to facilitate orderly life there. For the murderers — we will exact justice. To those who sanctify death, we will sanctify life,” said Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Cabinet Secretary Tzachi Braverman said the move to recognize Havat Gilad is “only a technical decision” meant to legalize an existing settlement and not establish a new one.
“There is no intention to expand and to annex privately-owned Palestinian lands but only to legalize the existing settlement after the murder [of Rabbi Shevach] and to connect it to water and electricity as well as make it accessible for humanitarian reasons,” Braverman added.

Sadly, in the last paragraph, everything goes off of the rails.

Here is a very modest proposal:

For every attempted “Palestinian” attack (successful or not), an acre of land is taken from Gaza, The West Bank or Jerusalem’s Arab quarter (depending upon the attack’s origin). For every Israeli wounded by a “Palestinian”, ten acres of land are excised, permanently. For every Israeli killed by a “Palestinian”, fifty acres are taken, never to be returned. Child fatalities merit even harsher annexations.

Perhaps when the “Palestinians” find themselves crowded onto a last postage stamp-sized parcel of remaining land, maybe then they will reconsider the wisdom of their genocidal doctrine. Meanwhile, Israel slowly whittles away at the beyond-ludicrous “Two State Solution” and gets more breathing room in the process.

As it is, Israel already has traded so much land for peace with absolutely nothing to show for it. That crap’s gotta end. As it is, all “Palestinians” living immediately adjacent to Israel’s existing border would certainly be heavily incentivized to intercept (and preferably kill) any Islamic terrorists plotting attacks on, or anywhere near, their turf.

To date, it seems rather clear that the “Palestinians” have suffered nowhere near enough in terms of lasting consequences for their genocidal Antisemitism. Were this untrue, the bloodshed would have halted decades ago. Quite obviously, merely killing these death-loving terrorist goons is insufficiently discouraging.

If there is one consistent refrain to be heard from these thuggish morons, it is a (literally) howling desire for their own nation. Ergo, start carving off tract after tract until these monster-raving-loonies purchase the proverbial clue. It is all too apparent that no other form of punishment carries any demonstrable weight.

For anyone who actually doubts this, I refer you to Umm Nidal, “the mother from hell” who rejoiced in the deaths of her three sons—and fervently wished that she had more hurl into the furnace of jihad.

Despite my above suggestions, in reality, there is no measured way of dealing with hatred at this level of unadulterated malevolence. The sooner that “Palestinians” (and Muslims in general) are made to realize just how dangerous it is to continue their path of violent aggression, the more quickly this world will become a calmer place.

    • The Israeli Supreme Court will overrule everything.
It’s waaaay left [think 9th Circuit or Bill De Blasio] and has almost unlimited powers. It nominates its own replacements. It’s a MAJOR issue.

G-d bless our Founding Fathers, our Constitution divinely inspired. Too bad today’s electorate isn’t fit for it.

      • G-d bless our Founding Fathers, our Constitution divinely inspired.

Dear yucki. NEVER could I agree with you more. Even as a devout Agnostic, I refuse to dispute your use of the word, “divinely”.

America’s Constitution is an enduring marvel that has no rival. For whatever faults or shortcomings it may ever have had, the notion that MORE THAN TWO CENTURIES LATER this splendidly eloquent document remains a competent and adequate judicial roadmap for this world’s preeminent superpower is nothing short of jaw-droppingly incredible.

My career’s editorial work has included the review of a 1,700 page book that contained encapsulations of every signatory to this nation’s Constitution. In the process, I leafed through the author’s +$40,000 collection of original edition books whose exact same printings graced the shelves of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Plainly put, (much like so many Classical music composers), for a bunch of proverbial “Dead White Men”, America’s Founding Fathers were an astonishing crew of unbelievably erudite and supremely well-read individuals that, more often than not, were multilingual (e.g., English, French, Latin, Ancient Greek, German or other major European languages) and in possession of personal libraries that represented a financial investment equivalent to most modern-day real estate purchases.

That this foundling nation was so unexpectedly fortunate as to be nestled in the caring embrace of these various and sundry brilliants…

See: Charles Pinckney (most likely, the Constitution’s true author, and not James Madison)

… is a happenstance of such stupendous proportions to where it’s doubtful that there will EVER be another government on this earth whose origins derive from such a fortuitous amalgamation of pure, learned wisdom.

        I’ll stop now…

        • They were well educated and knew history, they were the best from their State/Colony who took the lessons of history tried to set up a Constitution that would prevent the slide into dictatorship. We are now seeing if their brilliance was enough to preserve freedom.

        • Permit me to hint 😉
          “American Statesman ~ John Jay”
          by George Pellew

Piety, independence, and a keen sense of justice were natural birthrights in the Jay family; to these several generations of successful business men had added the more worldly virtues of prudence and perseverance, while from his father John Jay seems to have inherited a firmness of character which, in excess, would have been obstinacy, and a strength of feeling seldom suspected because united with unusual self-control. It is also noticeable that of Jay’s great grandparents not one was English, three were French and five Dutch, so that he was one of the few men of the Revolution who could say, as he did in 1796, “not being of British descent, I cannot be influenced by that tendency towards their national character, nor that partiality for it, which might otherwise be supposed to be not unnatural.” This fact in itself, combined with the hatred of interference traditional among merchants, may have had no little influence in making John Jay a leader in the American Revolution without ceasing to be, or rather because he was, a conservative. pgs.7-8.

On Saturday, July 26th, after forty days of “an ordeal torture,” to quote the words of a witness, by a majority of three votes only, the Constitution was ratified. The laurels of the victory were borne by Hamilton, but the work of John Jay was such that Washington wrote from Mount Vernon; “With peculiar pleasure I now congratulate you on the success of your labors to obtain an unconditional ratification,”2 In 1815 John Adams bore similar testimony. Writing to James Lloyd about the early Federalists, he said: “I forbore to mention one of more importance than any of the rest, indeed of almost as much weight as all the rest. I mean Mr. Jay. That gentleman had as much influence in the preparatory measures in digesting the Constitution, and obtaining its adoption, as any man in the nation. His know familiarity with Madison and Hamilton, his connection with all the members of the old Congress, have given to these writings [the ‘Federalist’] more consideration than both the other writers could have given them.”3 pg. 261

Thank you so much, EB. My prior editing endeavors could not possibly have imbued me with an adequately ineradicable knowledge that such an entirely non-British-born individual like John Jay became the first Chief Justice of the United States’ Supreme Court.

Much less, that Jay’s legacy carries with it an overwhelming degree of propriety that is so emblematic of America’s superlative draw-down from the knowledge-base of that time’s other (Old World) Western powers.

            Again, thank you.

“You have read the ancient history; now, therefore, is the time to read more in detail the histories of the great men that have figured in it. Among biographers, Plutarch is certainly entitled to the first place. To enjoy the experiences of others without paying the price which it often cost them, is pleasant as well as profitable. Manhood is the same in all ages, however diversified by color, manners, or customs. To regulate our conduct wisely relative to men is the most difficult task we have to perform in the course of our lives. To know them is necessary, but not easy. History will teach us much, but unremitted observation more; both assist each other. Habituate yourself to trace actions up to their motives.” – John Jay

        • Potus-2, my dear friendly spirit, thanks you for your kind words.

Prez Adams has been trying to cheer me by affirming that he and his colleagues wrote the Constitution for a different sort of people

“Our constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other kind.”

          • Our constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other kind.

I’m just exceptionally glad to see that Adams placed the world “moral” before any mention of “religious”.

One is possible without the other.

Far worse is how often the “other” (mis)behaves without a trace of the former.

Altogether more ironic is the way that America—home to such valuable and relentless ideological choice—is now in the process of (so expensively) expunging the presence of this world’s most repugnant example of intolerant theocracy.

        • The Convention was tasked with amending the Articles of Confederation or writing a new Constitution. They decided that writing a new one was better then amending the Articles. This is generally ignored and we are told that the Constitutional Convention went rogue and wrote a new Constitution. This run away Convention BS is often used to fight against a Convention of the States. About the only way to restore the rule of law in the US is a Convention of the States, way too many of the needed amendments will never pass through Congress, they limit to politicians too much for Congress to pass them.

  3. ONLY DEMONS EAT LEFT-HANDED, SAYS TURKISH MUSLIM AUTHORITY

Turkey’s highest religious authority has said that every pious Muslim must only use their right hand to eat and drink – because, apparently, only demons are left-handed.
Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), which is an official state institution, issued a fatwa (decree) Saturday, implying that those who happen to be born left-handed should switch sides for their own good, at least when it comes to the dinner table. The fatwa came in response to a question on eating with the left hand.

“Establishing general principles regarding eating and drinking, the Prophet Muhammad did not regard eating with the left hand as pleasant,” the watchdog said, adding that the Prophet “attached great importance to this issue and warned his community that demons eat and drink using their left hand.”

“It is the duty of every Muslim to adhere to the advice and guidance of the Prophet on eating and drinking with the right hand,” Dyianet stated on its official website.

A fatwa is a legal, non-binding, but respected interpretation of the Islamic code, and is usually issued by a competent authority. In order to make sure their children abide by the table manners prescribed by the Prophet, it’s “necessary” for parents to teach them to only use their right hand to both eat and drink, it said.

“Nine people were treated for breathing difficulties after a bomb believed to be filled with chlorine was dropped on a rebel-held town in Syria, medics say.

The Syria Civil Defence said three of its rescue workers were among the casualties from the attack on Saraqeb, in the north-western province of Idlib.

The Syrian opposition said the bomb was dropped by a government helicopter.

Another 20 people were reportedly killed in conventional government and Russian air strikes elsewhere in Idlib.

The raids came a day after rebels shot down a Russian Su-25 warplane over the province and killed its pilot on the ground after he ejected…”

“The Kremlin said on Monday that shoulder-launched missiles obtained and used by rebels in Syria were a huge danger to all governments after a Russian warplane was shot down there at the weekend.

Russia’s Defence Ministry has said that the aircraft, a SU-25, was downed in Syria’s Idlib Province on Saturday and its pilot killed on the ground after he ejected.

Speaking to reporters on a conference call, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday it was too early to say who had supplied the weapons system which rebels had used to shoot down the plane, but that it was extremely worrying that such rockets were falling into the hands of “terrorists.””

“ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey has so far detained 573 people for social media posts and protests criticizing its military offensive in Syria, the government said on Monday.

The crackdown, which has extended to the national medical association, has deepened concerns about free speech under President Tayyip Erdogan, who has criticized opponents of the military intervention as “traitors”.

Turkey last month launched an air and ground offensive, dubbed Operation Olive Branch, against the Kurdish YPG militia in Syria’s northwestern Afrin region. Authorities have repeatedly warned they would prosecute those opposing, criticizing or misrepresenting the incursion.

“Since the start of Operation Olive Branch, 449 people have been detained for spreading terrorist propaganda on social media and 124 people detained for taking part in protest action,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The operation has been widely supported by Turkey’s mainly pro-government media and by most political parties, with the exception of the pro-Kurdish opposition.

Last week, a prosecutor ordered the detention of 11 senior members of the Turkish Medical Association, including its chairman, after the organization criticized the incursion, saying: “No to war, peace immediately”.

Erdogan criticized the body as traitors. Detention orders were issued for another 13 people for supporting the medics.

Three of the doctors were later released on probation, according to the Hurriyet newspaper.

“There are laws that prohibit the glorification of terrorism, support for terrorism through propaganda and media. The prosecutors are implementing the laws,” Erdogan’s spokesman, Ibrahim Kalin, told reporters in Istanbul at the weekend.

Ankara considers the U.S.-backed YPG, which controls Afrin, to be a terrorist group and an extension of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which has fought an insurgency in Turkey’s largely Kurdish southeast since 1984.

Turkey is in the midst of a widening crackdown that began after a failed coup attempt in July 2016. Some 50,000 people have been jailed and 150,000 sacked or suspended from their jobs.

Critics, including rights groups and some Western allies, say Erdogan is using the coup as a pretext to muzzle dissent. The latest arrests have also drawn criticism from the European Union.

Turkey says its measures are necessary due to the gravity of the security threats it faces.”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/02/05/alarm-scale-anti-christian-hate-attacks/

“Hate crime figures leaked by police in Germany have caused alarm, as they revealed murder, assault, and arson numbering among almost 100 attacks which targeted Christians in 2017.

Published by the Funke media group several months before annual crime statistics are due to be officially released, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) data showed attacks on churches and Christian symbols accounted for a quarter of the 97 cases.

At least 14 of the cases in the report involved asylum seekers and refugees, including the murder of an Afghan Christian convert by a fellow Afghan in May last year which prompted politicians to urge the BKA to record “anti-Christian crimes” separately for the first time.

Ansgar Heveling, interior policy spokesman for Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, called the figures “alarming” and argued that the state “has a responsibility to punish these attacks severely and consistently… [as] anti-Semitic attacks are rightly being tackled”.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann, of the right-wing Christian Social Union (CSU), told Funke group newspapers: “Integration in Germany has to require tolerating its Christian, Western values and culture without any ifs or buts.”…”

  11. Doping scandal hits Winter Olympics

Secret data exposing the extraordinary extent of blood doping by endurance skiers at the Winter Olympics can be revealed this weekend, days before the start of the 2018 Games in South Korea.

Hundreds of skiers have escaped bans despite recording abnormal blood test scores — some with less than a one in a million chance of being natural. At times the blood was so dangerously thick that the skier should have been in hospital rather than competing.

The Sunday Times and the German broadcaster ARD have been given access to a database containing more than 10,000 blood tests from nearly 2,000 winter sports stars.

The U.S. Olympic Committee says it’s taking its most diverse team ever to a Winter Games, an impressive and deserved boast that requires a caveat of sorts.

Yes, USOC officials are pleased the team includes more African Americans and Asian Americans — and even the first two openly gay men — than recent winter squads. But they also realize this year’s U.S. Olympic team, not unlike those of most other nations gathering in PyeongChang this week, is still overwhelmingly white.

BEIJING (Reuters) – China released a further list of goods banned for export to North Korea on Monday, saying the items could be used to build weapons of mass destruction, amid a standoff between North Korea and the United States over its weapons programs.

China has released several such lists in recent years as North Korea steps up it nuclear and missile tests. China says it is doing its duty to help enforce the increasingly tough U.N. sanctions.

The latest, extremely technical, list of dual-use goods, or products that have both civilian and military use, comes after a confidential report by independent U.N. monitors that said North Korea violated U.N. sanctions to earn nearly $200 million in 2017 from banned commodity exports.

China’s Commerce Ministry said in a statement on its website that the list was meant to comply with the requirements of new U.N. sanctions imposed last year.

By LU Staff February 4, 2018

Delaware is considering adopting a policy that will let young students in school choose whatever name, gender, or race they want under a veil of school protection mandating that the parents not be informed of these decisions unless the student explicitly wishes the parent be included.

Drafted by Delaware Gov. John Carney, the anti-discrimination policy states that children from K-12 can choose their own name, identify with whatever race or gender they feel most comfortable with, and even access hormone blockers necessary to transition without the consent of their parents. Regulation 225 “Prohibition Of Discrimination” also indicates that students will be able to join any sports team they choose and can use bathrooms and showers according their chosen identity.

  18. Comey tweets about being ‘proud to wear’ his ‘FBI cufflinks’: The responses are predictable
By Thomas Madison February 4, 2018

Since I am not watching the Super Bowl today, keeping with my season-long boycott (I will never watch another NFL game), I decided to see what was happening in Twitterworld. Lo and behold, there was a tweet by former FBI Director James Comey that boasted, “Got to dress up for a family event tonight and was proud to wear my FBI cufflinks.”

He even provided a link to an Instagram photo of the fancy jewelry.

I admit I was shocked at first, as it took me a few seconds to read cufflinks correctly. The auto-editor in my head kept reading handcuffs.

The most amazing part of Comey’s tweet was his total lack of ethical integrity and brazen nose-thumbing to the American people. “Look, I get the last laugh,” he seemed to be taunting. “I may have been fired, but I will still parade around as though I am the king of the FBI, and there is nothing you can do about it.”

    The responses were predictably brutal.

The State Department quietly released more Hillary Clinton documents last week as everyone was waiting in anticipation for the FISA abuse memo to be released.
Hillary Clinton’s emails were saved on her private home brewed server and she was fully aware of it according to new emails released.

A 2012 email exchange with Huma Abedin, Monica Hanley, Hillary Clinton and her aide Justin Cooper with the subject line “My berry died again tonight.” reveals she was well aware all of her emails were saved on her private server.

“It comes back to life once I plug in the charger. Should I try a new battery or get a new
one? And, have we figured out to save all my info?” Hillary Clinton asked her aides regarding her Blackberry device using her HD***@cl**********.com account.

Justin Cooper replied immediately to Hillary letting her know all of her information is on her server:

Monica has a new berry for you
We just have to swap them
All of your info is on the sever [server] which you can access on any web enabled The berries
have a capacity — which may be part of why yours isn’t working

Hillary then replied, “Thanks for your help.”

This is just more evidence that Hillary Clinton was well aware that important information was saved on her server. Hillary continues to claim she used a private server for convenience. She knew she had to hide her wheeling and dealing and pay-to-play from the IT team at the State Department which is why she used a private server.

As previously reported, Hillary’s aide Justin Cooper admitted to destroying Hillary’s Blackberry devices with a hammer.

It was also reported Hillary Clinton used 13 different Blackberries and 5 iPads all using her private email accounts.

Within weeks of the news breaking Hillary Clinton was using a private server while she was the head of the State Department, the server was wiped clean. Hillary tried to play dumb claiming she didn’t know “C” in the emails stood for “classified”.

On Monday, twice failed Presidential candidate and election rigger, Hillary Clinton spoke for the first time since the damning FISA memo was released Friday.

[…]Not only did Crooked Hillary blame sexism and misogyny for her 2016 election loss, she subtly implied Trump is using the FISA memo as a scapegoat.

“So any of you who’ve read my book about what happened know that I think misogyny and sexism was part of that campaign. It was one of the contributing factors. Some of it was old fashioned sexism and a refusal to accept the equality of women and certainly the equality of women’s leadership and some of it as an outgrowth of all of this anxiety and insecurity that is playing on some people and leading them on a hunt for scapegoats,” Hillary said.

  29. zero hedge –FBI Accused Of Blocking Key Details On “Trump Dossier” Author

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley’s push to force the DOJ to open a criminal investigation into ex-British spy and “Trump dossier” author Christopher Steele is being met with resistance from the bureau, the latest sign that it doesn’t want information about its relationship with Steele to be shared with the public.

Bloomberg reported Monday that Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley criticized the FBI for blocking the release of key portions of a memo he wrote calling for a criminal investigation of Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled a dossier of unverified allegations on Donald Trump.

Grassley also released the memo in its redacted form to the press.

“Seeking transparency and cooperation should not be this challenging,” Grassley said in a statement after posting a heavily redacted version of the criminal referral that he and GOP Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina sent to the Justice Department last month. “The government should not be blotting out information that it admits isn’t secret.”

Grassley has been pursuing questions about the FBI’s reliance on Steele separately from House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, the author of the four-page “FISA memo” that was released last week and inspired President Trump to declare that he has been “vindicated” by its findings.

Conservative lawmakers have demanded that President Trump fire Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, the official responsible for supervising the Mueller probe – and some have even called for Mueller’s firing. But others, including outgoing Congressman and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, have said the revelations packaged in the memo wouldn’t justify ending the Russia probe.

Grassley’s push is emblematic of the intense rivalry that has sprung up between the various Congressional committees pursuing their own independent investigations of Trump and Hillary Clinton’s relationships with Russian entities or officials.

Democrats have dismissed the memo as inaccurate and misleading and are pushing for release of their own document challenging the Republican account. The Intel Committee is set to meet Monday at 5 pm to decide on whether to release the memo. Washington time to vote on the possible release of the Democratic response.

As the rivalry between the White House and Republicans on one side, and the FBI and DOJ, on the other, accelerates, Grassley and Graham asked the DOJ to investigate whether Steele made false statements to federal investigators.

In the newly released memo, the pair wrote that they had sent the criminal referral because there’s evidence that Steele, whose opposition research was funded largely by Trump rival Hillary Clinton and the Democrats, either lied to the FBI or to a British court, or that classified documents reviewed by the committee are false.

As Bloomberg also notes, Grassley asked the FBI to approve a declassified version of his Steele referral by Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Politico reports that Grassley and Graham on Monday also asked the Department of Justice and FBI to declassify more information related to their Steele referral, including an application to conduct surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

That surveillance application, Republicans have said, improperly involved research conducted by Steele that was paid for by the Clinton campaign. Republicans on Friday released a declassified memo they wrote on the subject.

Suspiciously, the redacted letter includes a blacked-out section led by the sentence “there is substantial evidence suggesting that Mr. Steele materially misled the FBI about a key aspect of his dossier efforts, one which bears on his credibility.”

Furthermore, a section on a second memo by Steele says he received information from the State Department, which in turn got it from a foreign source who was in touch with “a friend of the Clintons.”

“It is troubling enough that the Clinton Campaign funded Mr. Steele’s work, but that these Clinton associates were contemporaneously feeding Mr. Steele allegations raises additional concerns about his credibility,” Grassley and Graham wrote in their criminal referral.

    • Ex-FBI agent lands at CNN after blaming bureau departure on political attacks

Josh Campbell penned a New York Times Op-Ed on Friday, claiming he was leaving the FBI because of “relentless attacks on the bureau,” but on Monday he proved his column was disingenuous by quickly signing with CNN.

CNN named Campbell the network’s new law enforcement analyst, according to TVNewser, and he will reportedly start immediately. However, industry insiders are quick to point out that deals with on-air analysts don’t simply appear out of thin air, especially over a weekend, so CNN and Campbell were presumably in cahoots before he tried to pin his departure from the FBI on attacks that “undermine not just America’s premier law enforcement agency but also the nation’s security.”

Campbell, who was special assistant to former FBI Director James Comey, penned his essay amid increased scrutiny on the FBI from Republicans following the release of Rep. Devin Nunes’, R-Calif., memo.

“I am reluctantly turning in my badge and leaving an organization I love,” Campbell wrote in the Op-Ed. “A small number of my current and retired colleagues have said that we should simply keep our heads down until the storm passes. I say this with the greatest respect: They are wrong.”

It’s safe to assume that most of his “current and retired colleagues” don’t have cushy gigs as a CNN commentator waiting for them. He now joins a significant number of outspoken Trump critics employed by CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker.

CNN did not respond to a request for comment.

Campbell was a hero of the liberal media after he claimed his “resignation is painful” but necessary because “the alternative of remaining quiet while the bureau is tarnished for political gain is impossible.” He blamed “political attacks on the bureau” for his resignation but never mentioned that he was going to sign with CNN, or take a media job in general.

The polarizing Nunes memo has been mocked by Comey, while President Trump and his supporters feel it vindicates him in the Russia probe. The FBI fought the release of the memo, which details alleged surveillance abuse by the FBI and Justice Department.

Campbell appeared on CNN on Friday to explain why he was leaving the FBI — but failed to mention he would soon be an employee of the network.

While Campbell most likely had agreed to join CNN before he was even aware of the memo’s content, the now-former FBI employee had no problem using the document as a factor in his decision when he penned his Op-Ed in the Times. Comey may have even hinted at the move, tweeting that Campbell will be “an important addition to the national conversation” on Friday afternoon.

Dozens of news organizations covered Campbell’s resignation, painting him as a man of integrity for leaving the bureau over reasons of principle, as opposed to bolting for a high-profile TV gig.

Pro-Campbell headlines that have been published since his Op-Ed appeared include “Special assistant to Comey quits FBI with powerful message against GOP attacks” and “FBI agent in Op-Ed says he’s leaving over ‘relentless attacks on the bureau.’”

It’s safe to assume Campbell wouldn’t have gotten so much free publicity if he simply announced he was quitting the FBI to join CNN. He will provide punditry about crime, justice, breaking news and national security issues, according to TVNewser.

  30. Promise Kept: Trump Slashes Obama’s Refugee Resettlement By 80%

Numbers from the State Department Refugee Processing Center database confirm that President Trump has mightily slashed rates of refugee resettlement from where they were under the reign of Barack Obama. According to the figures, the Trump State Department admitted only 6,708 refugees in the first four months of the new fiscal year. That’s a remarkable number, especially when you compare it to the same period a year earlier, which 32,448 refugees were resettled in the U.S.

  31. Netanyahu Blasts Soros for Funding Pro-Illegal Protests
    February 5, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

One of the truly perverse arguments that Soros cronies have trotted out is that opposing the aspiring Bond villain is anti-Semitic. Never mind that Soros and co. have an extensive history of anti-Semitism.

    George Soros hates Jews.

He collaborated with the Nazis during the Holocaust and insisted that helping confiscate property from Jews brought him no guilt. “There was no sense that I shouldn’t be there, because that was well, actually, in a funny way, it’s just like in markets that if I weren’t there of course, I wasn’t doing it, but somebody else would.” He described the season of these horrors as “the most exciting time of my life.”

Soros grew up in a “Jewish, anti-Semitic home”. He called his mother a “typical Jewish anti-Semite” who hated his first wife because she was “too Jewish”. After undergoing psychoanalysis, he was able to understand that his shame was rooted in his Jewishness. He had a special contempt for Jewish philanthropies after a failed attempt to defraud a Jewish charity in London.

Editor’s note: The Freedom Center is proud to debut its new pamphlet by David Horowitz, “How Progressives Use Race as a Weapon Against Our Country,” which unveils the Left’s use of race to delegitimize America and to erode our national legacy of tolerance and pluralism. Read the full pamphlet below or order your copy today by clicking HERE.

Civilizations die when they cease to believe in themselves, when they lose the will to defend themselves, and thus the will to survive. The empowering inspiration that created American civilization is inscribed in the certificate of its birth. The Declaration of Independence is a proclamation of the equality of individuals, whatever their race, creed or origin, and it asserts their inalienable right to liberty. This statement of national principles is unprecedented in the five thousand years of previous human history.

  33. Here Comes the Dems’ Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown
After FISA memo, are leftists fearful of an approaching political reckoning?
    February 5, 2018
    Bruce Thornton

To paraphrase a more recent song, it’s hard out there on a Dem. Staggered by Donald Trump’s unthinkable victory in the presidential election, Democrats have continued to be pummeled by the Trump’s tax reform, the supercharged economy, his withering tweet-scorn for them and their media flunkeys, their own failed government shut-down, and a rousing State of the Union address that raised his poll numbers and made the Democrat Congressmen in the audience look like pouting prom wallflowers.

And now comes the “Memo,” the House Intelligence Committee’s exposure of the slow-motion coup engineered by partisan FBI and DOJ functionaries, and other deep-state members of the “resistance.” Now it’s up to “we the people” to demand accountability from these abusers of the public trust and violators of the Constitution.

The intensity of the hysterical spin before and after the memo’s release has revealed the depths of anxiety over the chickens of corruption coming home to roost. Shrieks of “nuance” and “context” are desperate attempts to drown out the bad news. “How dare you!” protestations of the “professional integrity” and “sterling character” of political appointees and rank careerists in the intelligence agencies are pleas to the voters to pay no attention to the blue-state man behind the curtain.
