  1. REPORT: McCabe Threatened To ‘Torch The FBI’ If Forced Out Of Bureau Without Pension

In the days before FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was forced out of his job, he threatened to “torch” the bureau if he was ousted before his full federal retirement benefits kicked in, according to a new report.

“He was unglued,” one FBI source told True Pundit. “Someone should keep an eye on him.”

But McCabe may also have been reacting, in part, to another growing problem beyond the corruption scandals enveloping McCabe’s leadership at the embattled FBI.

An FBI insider with Intel inside the embattled Bureau who has vigilantly worked to uncover systemic corruption inside the FBI, is rumored to be penning a tell-all book that promises to blow the roof off the inner-workings of the FBI’s controversial 7th-Floor.

  2. Europe: Making Totalitarianism Great Again

    by Judith Bergman

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11814/europe-totalitarianism
The European Union is intensifying its efforts to censor and marginalize voices that disagree with its policies, under the convenient euphemism of combating “fake news”.

“The Commission needs to look into the challenges the online platforms create for our democracies as regards the spreading of fake information and initiate a reflection on what would be needed at EU level to protect our citizens,” wrote Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, in May 2017. How considerate that Juncker, in totalitarian fashion, wishes to protect EU citizens from news that does not fit the Commission’s narratives and agendas.

In October 2017, the European Commission announced its “fake news” policies and how it intends to “design solutions to address the spread of fake news”. According to the Commission, “Fake news consists of intentional disinformation spread via online social platforms, broadcast news media or traditional print”. Furthermore, according to the Commission, the EU’s fake news policy is guided by, among other things, “the freedom of expression, media pluralism, and the right of citizens to diverse and reliable information”.

  3. Welcome to America, Terrorists! Right This Way for Student Visas!

    by Majid Rafizadeh
    January 31, 2018 at 4:00 am

Recently, in the middle of a speech at a conference in Europe about the threats of radical jihadist groups, a young imam stood up and vehemently voiced his objection to my remarks. At the end of the conference, the imam and several of his followers came forward. The imam insisted that Americans should be educated about Sharia law.

One of the imam’s followers spoke up, his voice filled with excitement as he described how they had just entered Europe and their next destination was the US. When asked what their experience was like traveling to Europe, the man responded with a tone of gloating in his voice.

“It was very easy,” he said. “We came here on a student visa, and we will be in the US on another student visa!”

What the man claimed was tragically true. Many Islamists have become adept at manipulating the flaws in the immigration system and have found ways of taking advantage of any legal loopholes.

  4. Federal Judge Recommended by Claire McCaskill Fines Her Republican Opponent
Court order by Obama-appointed judge turned into Democrat political attack

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) is touting a court order criticizing her Republican opponent. But the order was written by a federal judge who was personally recommended for the position by McCaskill and whose husband has contributed thousands to the Missouri Democrat.

The news of Judge Audrey Fleissig’s decision to fine Missouri attorney general Josh Hawley $500 over a document discovery dispute was first reported by left-leaning St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist Tony Messenger, who used the court order to scold Hawley, a Republican running to unseat McCaskill, to “do your job.” McCaskill’s campaign quickly capitalized on the order.

“[Hawley’s] office has even been fined by a federal judge for failing to do the most basic work of the Attorney General’s office,” the campaign said in a release linking to Messenger’s piece. “Hawley has been effectively told ‘do your job’ after repeatedly failing to meet simple deadlines.”

    • From the article linked above:

Gowdy’s name has regularly been tossed around as a potential pick by the Trump administration to fill a judicial appointment. While he’s denied that speculation in the past, a vacancy on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, which has jurisdiction over South Carolina, opened up just one day before Gowdy announced his retirement.

    • Is this for real?

Between the involvement of Muslims and Google, it’s absolutely impossible to tell with any reliability. That said, the comment left by, newnewacct, nails it:

Number one killer of muslims worldwide is other muslims. Completely undisputed.

Islam’s most pious followers will be the death of all Muslims. It is they who will finally commit a terrorist atrocity of such monstrous proportions that the civilized world will have no choice but to ensure that it can never happen again.

Until whatever peace loving Muslims there are begin snuffing their jihadist counterparts, this gruesome endpoint will remain the same.

  5. LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) –
A Lubbock man was arrested in Clovis, New Mexico earlier this month after he was accused of an aggravated kidnapping which happened in Lubbock. Officials also issued a search and seizure warrant for a Wells Fargo account which belongs to Tesla Motors after the suspect deposited nearly a quarter of a million dollars into the account for a car to be built for him.

According to a search warrant, 30-year-old Adebayo “Teddy” Abul Isola is accused of kidnapping his girlfriend on January 4, 2018. The search warrant states the woman got into her vehicle to go to work when her boyfriend, Isola, jumped into the vehicle with her. The warrant says he told the woman to drive him around and he threatened her while doing so.

  8. Poland bans nationalist protest in front of Israeli embassy
    31st January 2018, Comments 0 comments
Polish authorities on Wednesday banned a protest by nationalists in front of Israeli’s embassy amid a diplomatic row over a new Polish bill regarding the Holocaust and the definition of Nazi death camps.
Israel objects to the bill adopted by Poland’s rightwing-dominated parliament on Friday that sets fines or up to three years in jail for anyone who accuses the Polish nation or state of complicity with Nazi Germany’s crimes or refers to Nazi death camps as Polish.
Israeli authorities see one of the bill’s provisions as an attempt to deny Polish participation in Nazi Germany’s extermination of Jews and feared that it would open the door to prosecuting any Holocaust survivors who mention Poles being involved in war crimes.
Polish authorities, however, insist that the proposed legislation explicitly protects any such testimony by survivors.

    • “Launch on Warning” has been a persistent fly in the nuclear defense ointment. This entire conundrum began to surface during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.

Only photography from America’s most advanced, high altitude, airborne imaging platform—the “Dragon Lady” U2 spy plane (any CORONA photo-satellites were hampered by poor weather conditions)—was able to provide sufficiently accurate “recce” to finally determine that the Cuban installations, indeed, housed Soviet R-12 Nuclear Ballistic Missile

At this time, it dawned upon defense strategists that, if for any reason, America’s inventory of spy satellites suddenly went offline (all at once), the US might not have any choice but to launch a massive counterstrike. The only other option would be to allow American ICBMs to be trapped in their cracked silos. This evolved into a doctrine colloquially known as, “use ’em or lose ’em.”

In the early 1960s, this was a rather alarming conclusion for military planners to reach. It indicated a newfound overreliance upon the “latest and greatest” technology that eventually would drive development of over-the-horizon (i.e., phased array) radar and other tools to supplement satellite reconnaissance which could help reduce further dependency upon any single technology.

Communist China is engaging in brinkmanship which may well cause America to preempt their development of hypersonic glide vehicles simply by crashing Red China’s entire economy. After all, nothing says, “glide this!” like watching your nation’s currency become less expensive than toilet paper.

      • Incidentally, few people are aware of how America had a functional hypersonic testing facility (i.e., wind tunnel) back in the late 1960s that routinely attained Mach 10.

See: Hypersonic and Space-Oriented Wind Tunnels at Ames

Even less well-known is that this same (NASA Ames) facility had developed a Mach 50 test bed, intended to simulate exoplanetary reentry conditions. Sadly, its monoatomic (i.e., helium) based gaseous medium did not yield results which applied to earth-related atmospheric conditions.

Either way, the design principals were breathtaking.

The NASA Ames Mach 10 test-bed (see first link) involved pumping down four massive (house-sized) spherical tanks to near-deep-space vacuum. At the tunnel’s other end were high-pressure cylinders with large-bore output capacity. The model under test sat just upstream of a thin titanium diaphragm that separated the high pressure and low pressure zones.

An explosive charge was used to rupture the diaphragm in order to induce an abrupt transition to hypersonic wind velocities. Remember, this was back in the late 1960s.

For all of Communist China’s bragging, they are country rubes fresh off the turnip truck when it comes to this sort of research. As Richard noted:

Wind tunnels are one thing, flying in the real world is another.

1:100 scale models don’t even begin to thoroughly test issues like surface controls (flaps, rudders, and ailerons), much less the enormously complex avionics (i.e., aviation electronics) control and communication systems needed to monitor and perform very fast cycle in-flight course corrections of a craft that will be aloft for less than 30 minutes.

While I thoroughly enjoy Chris Chappell’s work at China Uncensored, he sometimes overdoes it. However, much more often, he is spot on the money and that makes it extremely difficult to chastise him for whatever occasional exaggeration that he might indulge in.

  9. The Horrific Plight of Congolese Christians
Another atrocity in the making that the world is turning its back to.
    January 31, 2018
    Eliot Bakker

During the final mass of his Latin American tour this past week, Pope Francis highlighted one of the most devastating crises currently affecting Christians: the ongoing atrocities being committed by Joseph Kabila’s unconstitutional government in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). In an emotional appeal in Lima, the leader of the Catholic Church demanded that Congolese authorities do everything possible to stop the constant escalation of violence against peaceful protesters.

Over the 12+ months that President Kabila has refused to step down since his term officially ended, Pope Francis and the Catholic Church have been among the strongest voices calling for Kabila to allow free and fair elections to choose his successor. When Kabila visited the Vatican in September 2016, as concerns intensified that he would delay the elections then scheduled for December of that year, Francis pointedly received him in his library, rather than the reception room in which he usually greets heads of state. The pope used their conversation to urge Kabila to ensure a peaceful transition of power.

Yet in more than a year since that meeting, a transition of power has yet to take place. Instead, Kabila has taken progressively more extreme measures to cling to power, from attempts to change the constitution to increasingly violent crackdowns on protests. In late 2016, the influential and widely respected Catholic Church of Congo brokered an agreement to allow Kabila to remain president until the end of 2017, provided that he refrain from amending the Constitution or staying in office beyond December 31, 2017. The passage of that date marked not only Kabila’s failure to stick to his side of the bargain, but one of the Congolese authorities’ most egregious violations of human rights yet.

  10. FBI Takes On ‘Islamophobia’
White nationalism seen as bigger threat than jihad terror.
    January 31, 2018
    Leo Hohmann

Two Michigan residents attended a quarterly BRIDGES meeting hosted by the Detroit office of the FBI recently that left them stunned by the blatant Islamist infiltration of the Bureau.

BRIDGES is an FBI outreach program whose roots can be traced back to the initial years following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The acronym stands for Building Respect in Diverse Groups to Enhance Sensitivity and involves FBI-hosted workshops for law enforcement and various immigrant communities. The workshops have been held in Boston, Detroit, New York, Chicago, Houston, Minneapolis-St. Paul and other cities.

According to the FBI website, BRIDGES “brings together members of diverse communities and state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies to discuss issues and concerns within their communities.”

In southeastern Michigan, those diverse communities include an array of Islamic migrant enclaves, both Shia and Sunni, as well as Coptic, Chaldean and Assyrian Christians forced to flee their Middle Eastern homelands by the Islamic State and other jihadist groups.

The outreaches can sometimes go to bizarre lengths to demonstrate the FBI’s respect for Islam.

  12. Democrats Don’t Know How to Deal With the “New Trump”
    January 31, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The Dems thought they had a game plan going in to the State of the Union. And the game plan was #resistance. Wear protest clothes, scowl through the whole thing, bring along members of designated victim groups, illegal aliens, transgender soldiers, and then go back to spinning Russia conspiracy theories.

It had worked until now. But then President Trump changed the game. And even though the game change had been signaled up front, the Dems went on with business as usual. They ignored the White House messaging about a positive, unifying and bipartisan speech.

They counted on Trump being predictable. And then suddenly he wasn’t.

And so the country watched as Rep. Pelosi chewed imaginary sour lemons, as Senator Schumer hunched over like a gargoyle, as the Congressional Black Caucus refused to applaud lower African-American unemployment, as the Dems sat in their seats while President Trump praised veterans, the anthem, the flag and all the great traditions of this country.

    It was a bad look.

It’ll play well with the left, which is no doubt assembling “Pelosi has no time for X” memes, but it plays badly with Americans.

  13. FISA Abuse Memo on the Verge of Public Release
After McCabe’s departure, is Deputy AG Rosenstein the next to go in surveillance scandal?
    January 31, 2018
    Joseph Klein

The House Intelligence Committee, by party-line vote, voted Monday evening to release a potentially explosive memorandum its staff compiled that could blow the lid off the long investigation into alleged collusion – so far unproven – between the Trump campaign and Russia. President Trump has five days to decide whether to approve the memo’s release to the public or seek to block it. Thus far, despite opposition from the Department of Justice, the White House has been signaling receptivity to the memo’s release. The memo reportedly accuses leaders near the top of the Department of Justice and FBI hierarchies of misusing their authority for political reasons to obtain a secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court order to spy on at least one former Trump campaign official, Carter Page.

If the claims said to be set forth in the memo turn out to be true, the original surveillance order approved by the FISA court was likely obtained under false pretenses. Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein reportedly sought to perpetuate the charade by approving a renewal application for continued surveillance of Carter Page to the FISA court without proper vetting of the sources used to justify the requested surveillance. The original order reportedly relied at least in part on an unsubstantiated dossier compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. The FISA court was allegedly not fully informed either of the dossier’s serious shortcomings or the fact that it had been paid for by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Add the shaky provenance of the dossier used to justify the surveillance of an American citizen to the many text messages authored by two intensely anti-Trump senior FBI officials who were then involved in the Russian collusion investigation and appeared to be looking for a way to sabotage Trump’s candidacy and presidency. Together, they confront the nation with a constitutional scandal that makes Watergate look like child’s play.

  14. Trump Divides Americans and Un-Americans
The greatest American speech of the century.
    January 31, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

There are two stories of America. One is the American story and the other the un-American story.

On one side there are pilgrims settling a new land and on the other colonists ethnically cleansing the native population. One side sees war heroes and the other sees killers. One sees brave police officers and the other genocidal bigots in uniform. One sees America. And the other hates it.

At the State of the Union, we saw those two halves divide up the House Chamber. We saw American elected officials stand for the flag, for the anthem, for veterans, for Jerusalem and for In God We Trust. And we saw the un-American officials selected by corrupt urban machine politics stay seated.

The leaders of America and un-America were there in one room while America’s story was told.

We saw heroes rise in the House Chamber and we saw the Congressional Black Caucus members in kente cloth scowling through the good news about African-American unemployment. Rep. Pelosi grimaced and Senator Schumer glared through President Trump’s appeal for bipartisanship. Senator Booker stared hatefully and Elizabeth Warren ranted hysterically on Twitter.

  15. Exclusive: FBI Confirms Jihadi Training Camps in America

Newly-released FBI documents obtained by Clarion Project confirm Clarion’s reports that Jamaat ul-Fuqra is training members in isolated communes across America and Canada.

The group’s “Islamberg” headquarters in upstate New York is its most well-known “Islamic village.”

Fuqra, which now goes by the name of the Muslims of the Americas (MOA) among other titles, is a cultish Islamist group with a history of crime and terrorism. The group is led by Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani in Pakistan.

Gilani’s name appeared in headlines in 2002 when Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was abducted and beheaded on his way to interview Gilani, though the radical cleric was never accused of an involvement in those crimes.

The first FBI document is dated November 27, 2009 and labels the Muslims of the Americas, Inc. as “armed and dangerous.” It begins by summarizing the group’s consistent history of extremism, terrorism and crime:

  16. U.S. General to Turkey: We Won’t Abandon Allies Fighting ISIS on the World’s Behalf

Gen. Joseph Votel, commander of the U.S. Central Command, said Sunday that the U.S. has no intention of withdrawing coalition forces from the northern Syrian town ofManbij, as Turkish leaders have demanded. He urged Turkey and the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to recognize each other’s legitimate security concerns but focus on the common enemy of ISIS.…

With Turkish leaders threatening to push into territory protected in part by the U.S. military, Votel has walked the line between both sides but repeatedly has said the U.S. would stand by the SDF counterterrorism force of Syrian Kurds, Arabs, and Turkmen that has routed ISIS on the world’s behalf.…

    …………………
How Turkey Twisted Three Words Into a Pretext for Invasion

Ankara said a U.S. plan to train some Syrian Kurds was a threat. So it sent tanks and artillery to kill some others.

The Turkish incursion into northern Syria surprised the Trump administration and has begun to hurt U.S. and coalition efforts to fight the remnants of ISIS further south. So how did it come about?

Turkey said it was forced to move lest the U.S. execute a plan to train and arm a 30,000-person, partially Kurdish, police force in Syria. But U.S. commanders on the ground and observers of Turkish foreign affairs say that Ankara’s attack was long planned. The so-called Border Security Force was a pretext.

Harvard doesn’t HAVE sororities and fraternities, so he’s off on a few things.

Indeed, the Ivy has gone to the devil like the whole university system. It’s gone. Like Heidelberg in the 19th century. To everything there is a season.

We’ll come up with something new, something that’ll meet the postwar challenges. Camille Paglia had some great ideas, smart people with vision still cluster around the periphery of this magnificent set of ruins.

Before the gleeful licking of chops, the spiteful cliches about the Ivy League, just a reminder: The screening mechanism of these institutions, their draw, the concentration – till very recently – of gifted people has not been a total loss.

A goodly portion of our superstars have sifted through the [poison-] ivy. Professors Peterson and Hicks, for example, two names familiar to everyone here. Many more in the rigorous academic disciplines. Harvard cross-registers with MIT, so there’s plenty of room to stretch.

The office also told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, which sued for the autopsy report, they wouldn’t release Paddock’s autopsy report until it was “finalized.”

“The coroner’s office has fought to keep autopsy reports confidential,” according to the the Review-Journal.
