Hungarian Government To Impose Punitive Tax On Foreign-Funded NGOs Supporting Illegal Immigration

„STOP-SOROS-PACKAGE“

Hungarian Government Plans Punitive Taxes For Refugee Helpers

Viktor Orbán continues to proceed rigorously against refugees and their supporters within the country. Now, NGOs are to be sanctioned by a tax. It is not the first measure of this kind.

Hungary’s right-wing-nationalist government plans a new punitive tax for NGOs which help refugees and mainly cover their expenses by foreign donations. This is what the Hungarian Interior Minister Sandor Pinter announced on Wednesday after a government meeting. The tax will be 25 percent.

The measure is part of a planned package of laws intended to regulate the work of NGOs which are associated with the so-called “Soros-Plan”. The “Stop-Soros-Package” further specifies that organizations which help, as the motion calls them, “illegal migrants”, will have to register at court. Foreign workers of such organizations might be expelled. The draft bill is to be voted in by parliament after discussion by different councils and leagues.

Organizations will have to register
Since 2017 already a law is in place that forces all civil organizations who receive more than 24,000 Euros per year in foreign aids to register with court. They will also have to carry the specification “foreign-aided organization” in all publications. The law is currently subject to a violation of contract proceeding by the EU.

The “Soros Plan” is at the center of a month-long crusade by prime minister Viktor Orbán’s government. He accuses the US billionaire George Soros, who supports numerous civil organizations, of intending to “flood” Europe with migrants to destroy its “Christian and national identity”. There is no proof for such a plan by the Hungarian-born philanthropist.

  1. Quote:”There is no proof for such a plan by the Hungarian-born philanthropist” Agreed but there is also no proof that allah or any god exists or even that muhammad was more than a warlord but muslims seem to think it okay as a basis to a belief structure. WRT Soros he may not have had a plan initially ( I personally doubt that) but the end result of his financial support is clear for all to see in the west. Just talk to some “professional agitators” (SJWs) who seem to have far more funding than just welfare(air travel from city to city often 2x week) and who are organized like a military unit with supporting arms. Someone pays for this.

    • Somebody pays and the person who is paying is giving the orders, at least broadly the details are probably left to the lower ranking, although since this is the left they may be giving detailed orders to the middle and lower ranking members.

  2. ‘Stop Soros’ – Hungary Will Raise Taxes on Pro-Mass Migration Groups to Fund Border Protection Force (breitbart, Jan 19, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/01/19/hungary-proposes-tax-groups-funding-mass-migration/

“Hungary is crafting legislation aimed at tackling so-called ‘civil society’ groups which aid and abet mass migration, including a special tax on their operations and restraining orders for bad actors.

Dubbed ‘Stop Soros’ after billionaire financier, mass migration advocate, and convicted insider trader George Soros, the package of measures is designed to impede the activities of foreign-funded NGOs helping to organise and assist illegal immigrants in their attempts to travel through Europe.

“The government of Hungary takes the position that illegal mass immigration is a problem that affects Europe as a whole and poses serious security risks,” reads a statement provided to Breitbart London.

“The Hungarian government opposes illegal immigration through every means possible. We need to improve the security of citizens. Our aim is that Europe should continue to be the best place on Earth to live. In the spirit of this endeavour, the government has presented [this] package of bills to Parliament.”

The most important measures in the bills are presented as follows:

    1. Every organisation that supports illegal immigration by using foreign financial resources would be registered and obliged to report on its activity.

    2. A tax would be imposed on the foreign funding of organisations supporting illegal immigration. This public income would be invested in border protection.

    3. It would be possible to issue restraining orders against those who take part in organising illegal immigration. In essence, such restraining orders would apply in any area that is within 8 kilometres [5 miles] of the Schengen border. In special cases, a third-country citizen would be subject to a restraining order anywhere within Hungary. This measure would remain in force until the end of the migration crisis.

Dr. Zoltán Kovács, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, indicated that the levy would stand at 25 per cent.

It has been speculated that the restraining order provisions might be used to ban Soros, who is based in the United States but was born in Hungary, from entering the country, along with his agents.

Prime Minister Orbán has been clear that, in his view, migrants who travel through a number of countries in order to find the most generous hosts are not refugees, but “invaders”.

Rather than submit to mass migration, he advocates helping genuine cases — particularly persecuted Christian minorities — in their homelands, or the nearest safe country.

“We cannot help the world while destroying our own people,” he told German media recently.”

  3. No plan?

    You underestimate him.

He sees the infinite opportunity in chaos. But useful chaos must be manufactured. The ordered version–the fractal geometry of the natural world–can and must be disrupted by natural forces because only natural forces are large enough. Opportunistically exploiting war and resultant mass migration may create opportunity at both ends. How much opportunity depends on how well one has prepared and connected oneself. The natural chaos with which we cope must be occasionally displaced by destructive chaos. This serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it accomplishes the requisite release of accumulated tension. Secondly, those who are properly positioned may then profitably rebuild and restore regional destructive chaos back to fractal chaos. They do a “service”. The minor fact that he is the one creating the tension is incidental. The morality of this particular matter is subordinated by the act of placing a finger gently on the pulse of the cosmos. Like a pressure gauge on a big boiler, it is neither good nor bad. It simply is. This is what Soros saw and learned in the war. This is why it was his best time. This is why he has a God complex. Being privy to the secrets of the universe, he reasons, is not his fault and therefore cannot be a source of guilt feeling, nor is he obliged to turn his back to any opportunities adjoining said privilege. This also explains why he floats above the too terrestrial concepts of Nation and religion. Only a global view is appropriate to someone floating out in space. It begs the question, however, why the likes of Einstein and Teller, Bach and Dylan did not forget their humanity. Maybe they weren’t quite so vain.

Soros’s version of Reflexivity remains opaque, but involves nothing deeper than infinity, and nothing more complicated than an elastic band. The tension and release of the elastic band, however, ends with rest or breakage, while the natural world sees no such end. Here, the action of tension and release is perpetual. Music, as an example, embodies Reflexivity. Other mediums of art do so too, but with arguably less efficiency. In music, each note and beat is one more note and beat towards building timely release. (Usually in the form of chord change.) Release comes without reflection, for reflection will come at the expense of the building of fresh tension. Understanding this concept is not necessary because it is felt–it need not be wholly cognitive to be useful. Even the composer does not need to understand it.

Beware, though. Beware the man who is able to venture even one step beyond the visceral, intuitive understanding of composition into the very underlying structure of its universe. In musical terms it practically means creating beauty at will. In financial terms it means creating wealth at will.

In geopolitical and Soros money terms it means war.

    Still no plan?

    • The sentence in Die Welt bothered me, too. The journalist should have taken the time to sit down and read the “Open Society” website, and ask himself again if there is no plan.

      • There are several possible reasons for the sentence:

        1) sloppy research by the reporter, something to be expected from the left.

        2) the reporters believes in what Soros is doing and was covering for him.

        3) the editor ordered the sentence and the reporter wanted to keep his/her job.

Or a combination of two or possibly all three of the above.

  4. When the Hungarian government first created a law for NGO’s (based on the US Foreign Agents Registration Act), the Soros orgs, refused to register themselves and broke the law. Unfortunately there were no punishment for such defiance. This is different with the new law and I am sure the NGOs will refuse again to comply. But now they will be vulnerable for the full force of the law! I think this is just a beginning!
