  1. Chicago-Area Police Release Criminal Illegals Back into Community

(Ana Michaels, Liberty Headlines) Six out of 22 arrests made by federal officers during a 3-day operation in the Chicago area were criminal aliens who were released, after local law enforcement failed to notify U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement that they were in custody.

Immigration detainers request for local law enforcement to inform ICE before the aliens are released from police custody for any reason.

During the 3-day operation, ICE officers made arrests in the following locations in Illinois: Chicago, Cicero, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Park City, Rolling Meadows and Round Lake Beach.

    • The Dem politicians who support sanctuary cities (if they want money from the national party they have to pay at least lip service to supporting the cities) care more about the illegal aliens then they do about the US citizens. This point needs to me made more often.

  2. Non-Citizens Commit Disproportionate Share of Crimes

44.2 percent of federal convictions by people who were not U.S. Citizens…

(Ana Michaels, Liberty Headlines) The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) analyzed a U.S. Sentencing Commission report, which found a high rate of convictions for federal offenses are committed by non-citizens.

CIS’s findings showed that between 2011 and 2016 around 67,000 non-citizens were sentenced in federal courts in the United states.

That translates to 44.2 percent of federal convictions by people who were not U.S. Citizens.

When CIS removed crimes that involved immigration, they found that 21 percent of people convicted were not U.S. citizens.

That’s 2.5 times the non-citizen portion of the population.

  3. Hamilton Ont -Justin Trudeau gets STANDING OVATION for handling of Omar Khadr protester

[…]At the second stop on his town hall tour across the country, Trudeau took questions from Canadians assembled in an auditorium at McMaster University in Hamilton.

The roughly hour-and-a-half event had seemed on the verge of the mundane when the topic of Khadr — always a lightning rod — sparked.

[…]After attempting several times to explain the reasoning for the decision to the woman, who would not stop yelling, Trudeau stressed the payout was the result of the Canadian government failing to uphold its duty to prevent citizens from being mistreated or tortured.

He also repeated a comment he made on Tuesday that¸ he was also angry about having had to make the settlement.[…]

  5. New York City Plays into Global Warming Hoax, Sues 5 Largest Oil Companies

New York has been trailing dangerously close to California’s liberal footsteps. Now they have done the unthinkable…..

The city of New York is suing five of the biggest oil companies for their alleged part in global warming. So in essence, they are being sued for an imaginary concept.

    Climate Liability News reports:

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio will announce in a press conference Wednesday afternoon the suit against BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, and Royal Dutch Shell, the five largest investor-owned fossil fuel companies as measured by their contributions to global warming. He will also announce that the city will divest its pension funds of $5 billion in fossil fuel investments.

“New York City is standing up for future generations by becoming the first major U.S. city to divest our pension funds from fossil fuels,” the mayor continued, “At the same time, we’re bringing the fight against climate change straight to the fossil fuel companies that knew about its effects and intentionally misled the public to protect their profits. As climate change continues to worsen, it’s up to the fossil fuel companies whose greed put us in this position to shoulder the cost of making New York safer and more resilient.”

    • Law suits like this and political investigations and prosecutions like Meullers were two of the reasons for the American Revolution, the left thinks we can’t or won’t do anything to derail their attempts to force us to live in mud hut level economies.

    • or maybe not
      https://www.cbsnews.com/news/pension-funds-in-nyc-taking-steps-to-divest-fossil-fuels/ (auto-downloads a noisy advert)
New York’s two largest pension funds, New York City Employees’ Retirement System and Teachers’ Retirement System, will immediately pursue divesting by 2022, officials said, “consistent with prudent practice and in line with their fiduciary responsibilities.” The other three major pension funds will be encouraged to begin divestment as quickly as practical. Fund trustees also will seek a legal opinion to confirm that carrying out divestment actions would be consistent with trustees’ fiduciary duties to beneficiaries.
      – divestment is not entirely altruistic over the issue of climate change. Fossil fuel securities are underperforming and officials say the outlook for fossil fuel investments continues to be negative.
      – De Blasio and New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer said they intend to divest the city’s five pension funds of roughly $5 billion in fossil fuel investments out of its total of $189 billion.
      – Last month, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced plans to have the state pension funds also divest from fossil fuel investments. He and state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli are creating an advisory committee to examine the way to proceed with divestment.

    • Memo From Former Obama Staffer Reveals Why Democrats Might Shut Down the Government Over DACA

As another spending bill deadline looms, Democrats seem willing to shut down the government in order to save the Obama-era program Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The program involved allowing “Dreamers,” children of immigrants who have integrated into American society, to remain in the country, despite their questionable legal status. A memo from Jennifer Palmieri, who served as director of communications for President Barack Obama and candidate Hillary Clinton, revealed why Democrats may be willing to fall on their swords for DACA.

“The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,” Palmieri, now president of the Center for American Progress (CAP) Action Fund, wrote in the revealing memo.

Palmieri drew a line in the sand. “Democrats should refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them,” she wrote. “Political allegiances are made in moments like these.”

  6. Nearly 40 Percent of Sex Offenders in Oregon Prisons Are Illegal Aliens

The murder of Kate Steinle in California highlighted the fact that we have a serious criminal illegal alien problem in this country. Many of these individuals, after breaking the law to enter the country, go on to commit other crimes — theft, rape, and even murder. David Olen Cross released a December 2017 report based on Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) data, announcing that there are “973 foreign nationals (criminal aliens) incarcerated in the state’s prison system.”

Oregon has 14,739 inmates incarcerated in its 14 prisons scattered across the state. “Approximately one in every fifteen prisoners incarcerated by the state was a criminal alien, 6.60 percent of the total prison population,” the report said.

According to Cross, all of the 973 illegal aliens currently in the state’s prisons were identified by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Anytime that happens, DOC officials will place an “ICE detainer” on the inmate. “After the inmate completes his/her state sanction, prison officials will transfer custody of the inmate to ICE,” he said.

  8. Fourth woman accuses financier of raping her in penthouse sex dungeon

A fourth woman has filed a lawsuit accusing former Soros Fund portfolio manager Howard Rubin of brutalizing her in his Manhattan penthouse sex dungeon, saying he ignored her repeated use of their agreed-upon safe word, “pineapples,” during an S&M session.

The woman, who has requested anonymity in her $7 million Manhattan Supreme Court suit as a rape victim, met Rubin through a friend in November 2015.

The pal set up a date between the then-60-year-old Rubin and the 20-year-old woman at the Russian Tea Room in Manhattan, the suit says. The woman was told she’d be paid $2,000 for dinner and drinks, but that she would not be required to have sex.

Rubin plied the young escort with pricey glasses of Don Julio 1942 Anejo tequila and then presented her with a nondisclosure agreement that said she could be sued for up to $1 million if she disclosed their relationship, according to court papers.

Rubin — whose high-stakes investing for billionaire George Soros was featured in the best-selling books “Liar’s Poker” and “The Big Short” — then invited the woman to his apartment at the luxury Metropolitan Tower.

  9. How Hillary’s FBI Allies Undermined Trump Before the Election
The swamp’s secrets, lies and media leaks.
    January 10, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

    Peter Strzok wanted some insurance.

The senior FBI figure, who had participated in the Hillary email investigation, interviewed Flynn and had been part of Team Mueller, wasn’t looking to State Farm for his insurance needs.

Chatting with his mistress, an FBI lawyer who worked for Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Strzok worried that Trump might win. “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” he wrote.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

It was the summer of an election year. The official odds all favored Hillary. But a failed FISA request had already been made. And the real insurance was still coming. Its policies would include a second successful FISA request, the Steele dossier, the mass unmasking of Trump officials and the Mueller witch hunt. The insurance still hasn’t paid off, but the men and women behind the coup are betting that it will.

By the time October rolled around, the cost of the insurance was still rising. In late October, as Election Day was coming up, Strzok and Page were looking over their own leaks to the media. They discussed the stories in the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post that they had allegedly helped shape.

  10. Has France Learned Anything From The Charlie-Hebdo – HyperCasher Terror Attacks?
France must undergo a seismic change in thinking.
    January 10, 2018
    Ari Lieberman

On the third anniversary of the Charlie Hebdo-HyperCasher terrorist attacks in Paris, which claimed 17 lives, France appears to have learned nothing from these outrages. On the contrary, it seems as though the French have doubled down on the very policies which spawned the attacks.

France’s craven foreign policies, motivated in part by greed, appear to be catered toward appeasing Islamic tyrants. The government continues to fund Islamist or anti-Semitic NGOs – like the Association France Palestine Solidarité (AFPS) – whose radical agenda is guided solely by xenophobia and Islamist supremacism. Its liberal immigration laws and politically correct approach to tackling Islamic extremism have all but transformed France into a bastion of anti-Israel and anti-Western hate.

Last week, France had an opportunity to demonstrate to the world that the nation still had some spine by publicly siding with democracy protesters in Iran. Instead, France found itself in the company of democracy stalwarts like Russia, China and Turkey in siding with the repressive theocratic dictatorship.

That morally inverted position should come as no surprise. Immediately following the signing of the Iran deal, France dispatched its foreign minister, Laurent Fabius, to Iran to meet with Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, and various Iranian government dignitaries and business leaders in an effort to cash in early on potential business deals. The fact that Iran is the world’s premier state-sponsor of international terrorism had no bearing. In France, morality plays second fiddle to economics. It’s the French way of doing things. It is a shortsighted position and one that will come back to haunt the Republic.

  11. S. Korea Pes: Trump Deserves “Big Credit” for New Talks
    January 10, 2018

Obama’s “Smart Diplomacy” method for generating talks was to bribe the bad guys with almost everything they wanted. Trump’s method is applying pressure, whether on Iran, the Palestinian Authority or North Korea.

And it clearly gets results as the political turmoil in Iran and the sudden outreach by North Korea show.

Now the President of South Korea is crediting Trump for getting the ball rolling.

  12. EPA Staff to Get Cut in Half
    January 10, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The EPA has probably cost as many American jobs as China. Not to mention driving up the prices of everything. Now it’s the EPA that’s shedding jobs for a change.

The EPA Tuesday provided to Secrets its first year staff results which show that the agency is below levels not seen since former President Reagan’s administration.

And if just those slated to retire by early 2021 leave, Administrator Scott Pruitt and his team will have reduced a staff of nearly 15,000, to below 8,000, or a reduction of 47 percent.

This doesn’t include the fake CIA Global Warming expert whose retirement is taxpayer funded, but is being routed through the penal system.

The EPA’s highest-paid employee and a leading expert on climate change was sentenced to 32 months in federal prison Wednesday for lying to his bosses and saying he was a CIA spy working in Pakistan so he could avoid doing his real job.

He also said he used the time “trying to find ways to fine tune the capitalist system” to discourage companies from damaging the environment. “I spent a lot of time reading on that,” said Beale.

Of course the mass retirements aren’t a done deal yet, but it does look like one of the destroyers of American prosperity will have plenty of time to read about the evils of capitalism. And while it will be at taxpayer expense, EPA operatives will at least be doing less damage when they’re not working for the government.

  13. ISIS Sets Its Sights on Gaza

    by Bassam Tawil

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11713/isis-gaza-hamas

There is nothing more delightful than watching two Islamic terror groups fight each other to the death. For several years now, Hamas in the Gaza Strip and ISIS in Sinai have been cooperating with each other, especially in smuggling weapons and terrorists over the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. It was a win-win: Hamas supplied ISIS with terrorists; ISIS supplied Hamas with weapons that were smuggled into the Gaza Strip.

It appears, however, that the honeymoon between the two terror groups is over.

Last week, ISIS published a video documenting the execution of one of its men after he was found guilty of smuggling weapons to Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The execution of Musa Abu Zmat, a former Hamas terrorist who fled the Gaza Strip to join ISIS, took place in Sinai.

  14. Egypt’s Al-Azhar University: Moderation or Dissimulation?

    by A. Z. Mohamed
    January 10, 2018 at 4:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11712/egypt-al-azhar-moderation

Al-Azhar University seemed to have either an ambivalent attitude or a two-faced, taqiyah [dissimulation] one regarding tolerance towards Christians in particular and Islamic moderation in general, according to a report, “Two Faces Of Egypt’s Al-Azhar: Promoting Goodwill, Tolerance Towards Christians In Informational Holiday Campaign – But Refusing To Do The Same In Its School Curricula,” disclosed by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

While Al-Azhar’s informational campaign, “Sharing the Homeland,” aims to promote “moderate” Islam, reinforce the values of citizenship and coexistence among Egyptians, and counter “deviant fatwas,” a recent study published in El-Watan News reveals that senior officials at Al-Azhar are still defending and promoting school curricula that contradict tolerance and acceptance of Egypt’s Coptic Christian minority. Al-Azhar officials, it turned out, removed the proposed content encouraging tolerance and acceptance of Christians from the school curricula, and the official who proposed that curricular “reform” was fired.

This example of Al-Azhar’s inconsistency and seemingly internal conflict adds to the tension in the relationship between Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Al-Azhar’s Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb over the university’s apparent refusal to comply with the president’s calls for Islamic reform and moderation.

    • Egypt’s Al-Azhar University: Moderation or Dissimulation?

Why don’t these Islamic maggots simply go ahead and openly demand to have everything both ways?!?

After all, isn’t this what they’ve been doing for the past few DECADES? What aspect of taquiyya (i.e., doctrinally sanctioned deceit) makes any of this seem at all unacceptable?!?

Please remember, Egypt’s Al-Azhar University is where (in 2009) 0bama stepped up to the microphone and proudly announced:

“I’ve come here, to [Al-Azhar University in] Cairo, to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world. One based on mutual interest and mutual respect. And one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. In Ankara, I made clear that America is not and will never be at war with Islam.”

As too many of us know by now, this “new beginning” of 0bama’s involved rededicated degrees of jihadist slaughter (on unprecedented scales whose “mutual interest”, scope, and scale) brought altogether new levels of mass murdering atrocities to those who had previously refused any acknowledgement of just how evil the 9-11 atrocities were.

Plainly put, this towering heap of putrescent, pseudo-intellectual—or just supremely offensive psycho-spiritual—rubbish will necessarily be one of the “ground zero” sites for (preferably) Enhanced Yield Devices when Western powers irrevocably tire of the barbaric duplicity and continual drain upon First World financial resources being imposed by this particular Islamic segment of Cairene filth.

  15. ANOTHER MINIMUM WAGE FAIL: Red Robin Restaurants Eliminate All Busboys

On Monday, the national restaurant chain Red Robin announced it would eliminate busboys at all of its 570 restaurants, as the company expects it will save $8 million in 2018 by doing so. Red Robin’s chief financial officer Guy Constant told attendees at the ICR retail conference, “We need to do that to address the labor increases we’ve seen.”

Michael Saltsman, director of the Employment Policies Institute (EPI), told FOX Business, “I read that as minimum wage. Somebody like Red Robin, which has a lot of exposure in western states [where the minimum wage is rising faster] … this is sort of a burger and beer chain. If they can’t pass those increases off in higher prices … they have to find a way to do more with less.”

  17. The Battle To End Over-Regulation Is Being Won
For Liberty Staff, 1 day ago 2 2 min read 394

Article from Reason by J.D. Tuccille.

Even as CNN talking heads remain in shock that Donald Trump is actually president, and the man himself apparently sees social media as a means to go full drunk-uncle on an international scale, millions of Americans continue to support the current resident of the White House. FiveThirtyEight has Trump’s approval ratings at 38.8 percent as I write, and an insight into why many Americans continue to put their faith in this president landed last week in the form of a Washington Post article on the relief felt by Iowa farmers over the Trump administration’s push to roll back much-resented regulatory red tape.

“Obama set aside millions of acres of undeveloped land as national monuments—more than any other president—preventing huge areas from being mined, logged or farmed. Obama also implemented more regulations with a significant economic impact than any president in three decades, according to the George Washington University Regulatory Studies Center. Those actions were cheered by many Americans but widely viewed in rural areas as killing jobs.”

“Two teenage girls wearing explosive vests were shot dead by soldiers in a town in north eastern Nigeria just days after a blast killed 14 worshippers, militia sources said on Tuesday.

Soldiers patrolling the town of Gamboru opened fire after the two girls, strapped with explosives, refused to remove the vests in the early hours of the morning. A third girl was arrested.

“Three teenage suicide bombers were found by soldiers and two of them were killed while the third was arrested with her explosive belt,” said Umar Kachalla, a civilian militiaman in the town close to the Cameroon border.

“Two of the girls who were walking together were asked to remove their vests but they refused and were shot dead by troops,” he added.

Soldiers spotted the third girl after she abandoned her explosive vest in a nearby empty building, said another militiaman Shehu Mada.

The attempted bombing comes as Nigeria has launched a major offensive against Boko Haram following an escalation in attacks by the terrorist group over the festive season…”
