33 Replies to “James Damore sues GOOGLE!”

  1. I don’t know for sure, but on the surface, I’d say Mr. Damore has a pretty good case for wrongful dismissal. Let’s face it, he got fired for being politically incorrect. I’ve known that girls and boys have fundamentally different interests, but the Marxist/Feminist individual who runs Google insists that everyone is the same and that gender differences are all the result of the patriarchy and the hierarchy and all that bullshit, and she fired Damore for daring to step outside that Marxist box. Total feminist bitch. I hope she loses her job over it…

    • The quality of his case is no longer based on the quality of the arguments or of the judge, possible jury, or attorneys.

It is now based on whether or not the court uses rule of law, or cultural Marxism/postmodernism as its means of determining what is and is not acceptable behaviour and speech.

What we will learn from the verdict is the state of that.

    • I believe that in California–as in most states–one’s employer can fire you for any reason other than ones linked to protected classes, i.e. you can’t be fired for being a certain race or sex or family status or gender identity or ethnic group or nationality. Please let me know if you learn otherwise. Prudence dictates that employees concentrate their conversations on the work at hand, no matter what the corporate dialogue around them says.

  2. You have done us a great service by publishing this lawsuit. Harmeet Dhillon is a brilliant lawyer. After reading the first 50 pages it makes me never want to use Google or Gmail ever again. The Google execs are worse than ISIS.

    • The Google execs are worse than ISIS.

Too right! ISIS is a pimple on the @ss of Google’s evil empire. Now that all of the heavy lifting (i.e., hardware engineering, search engine design, etc.) has been accomplished, Google is shedding (as quickly as possible) all of the older White—read Conservative—males in favor of hiring Millennials, especially if they are minority or female. Preferably both.

If you think things are bad right now, just wait until the IoT (Internet of Things gets up to speed. This will be one of the most (if not the most) intrusive and comprehensive monitoring systems in all of human history.

Think “Skynet“, at least in its germinal phase. Those who look upon Orwell’s 1984 as an operator’s manual will be drooling and squirting in ecstasy once the IoT is fully operational. It will enable a degree of fine-grain surveillance that rivals the NSA’s current capabilities (just without all the “Stubby Hubble” Keyhole satellite reconnaissance capabilities).

    • I quit Google two years ago and now use Duckduckgo. The search results are quite different.

During the U.S. presidential campaign, any Google search came back with negative results re Trump. Even one month after his victory, some of the Fake News could still be found on Google’s first page (ex: 14-year old girl sues Trump for rape).

I use hotmail. I would never go Gmail.

      • Same here.
To the extent possible. Google lurks everywhere.
Almost every website has multiple [dot]google components. For example:

        • fonts[dot]googleapis[dot]
        • googletagservices[dot]com
        • googletagmanager[dot]com

LittleSnitch is software that bares every bot. If you deny access to everything -google, your browsing is impaired significantly.

I also hate the Cloud with a purple passion. It’s the CIA and Bezos and the Washington comPost and Apple. But every website stores assets in patches of Cloud, it’s hard to exclude completely.

        • I also hate the Cloud with a purple passion.

And well you should, yucki (as do I).

Remote (i.e., “cloud”) storage places one of your most valuable caches of non-tangible assets in the hands of fü¢k-knows-who.

None of which addresses the vulnerability of opening up your digital content to whomever the hell decides to comb through it.

Recently, I spent a few years helping (on starvation wages) to support an intensely Liberal organization whose ostensibly-laudable ecological goals I, nonetheless, agreed with—regardless of political differences.

Some people in the office kept on insisting that I place my entire body of work product—much of it produced at home on my own computer—”on the cloud” (ostensibly), in order to facilitate group think productivity. This, even as I endured increasingly abusive treatment at the hands of the foundation’s über-Liberal, Feminist president.

As in, (let’s see…) Editor-in-Chief, Community Development Leader, Senior Grant Writer, and Head Chef. With all of that in mind, it became (just slightly) evermore difficult to tolerate this endless bull hockey.

Flashback: A year prior, in my role as Head Chef, I had catered one of the most memorable events they ever experienced. As in: (please pardon the lack of formatting)

I’ll let all of you figure out how well that menu went down (as it were) with the Board of Directors.

          Flash Forward:

Just days before the next Board of Directors’ meeting, this same abusive lunatic (during a staff meeting) exclaimed that “Hillary is being demonized by the media”, which I could only respond to with the question, “And Trump isn’t?!?”

She then went on to disparage me in front of all present and I had no other alternative than to quietly stalk out of the room.

Three days later, HEY PRESTO!, no whoop-de-do just ZERO super special Board of Directors dinner (despite having composed an elaborate menu that drew serious interest from a few of the directors). Go figure.

As the old engineering department sign reads, “Beatings will continue until morale improves.”

          What a great idea!

The very next day I was fired.

Due to insanely poor exit interviewing (a consistent and ridiculously STUPID corporate policy of theirs), no one bothered to oversee the next few hours of my activity. During that time, I removed my entire body of work from my on-site computer (over 90% of which had been created in my home), then packed up and left.

A day or two later, I received somewhat urgent emails requesting copies of the elaborate (i.e., time-consuming) Excel spreadsheets that I had created about contacts and participatory clients.

I’ll let you guess as to what my response was…

          • “She then went on to disparage me in front of all present and I had no other alternative than to quietly stalk out of the room.

Three days later, HEY PRESTO!, no whoop-de-do just ZERO super special Board of Directors dinner (despite having composed an elaborate menu that drew serious interest from a few of the directors). Go figure.

            ..

The very next day I was fired.”

Are you saying NorseRadish that after your public humiliation, you gave the directors a Crappy Meal that resulted in you being fired, and you took all the details of the scheduled meals with you?

            • Are you saying NorseRadish that after your public humiliation, you gave the directors a Crappy Meal that resulted in you being fired, and you took all the details of the scheduled meals with you?

              Thank you for asking, Perfectchild.

Above all. When I commit to serving food, it is of the highest quality. Even if it is for my worst foes. As a professional chef, there is no possible alternative. Period. Full Stop.

Nonetheless, the answer to your question is rather opposite of what you might suspect.

              First off:

I gave no one ANY meal (nor had I made an indisputable commitment to doing so). Even the slightest promise upon my part would have required me to devote ummm … let’s just say, oh, ten or twenty hours worth of planning and scheduling to do so (not including another 1.5 shift schedule of kitchen time in a totally inadequate outdoor facility (just like the year before). In fact, simply composing the (below) menu took an easy TEN HOURS of my time.

The foundation’s president merely presumed that I would show up (after her obnoxious tirade) for more abuse agonizing endeavors that would glorify her position without regard to the effort involved upon my part.

SIDEBAR: During a shortage of assisting labor, this woman managed to cart my @ss around town to gather up event ingredients (at extreme savings, due to my canny knowledge of off-price food stores that provided high-quality products).

Even then, she demonstrated very little in the way of appreciation for (all the cost-benefits or) the fact that my (completely untrained yet amazingly decent) Muslim sous chef—with a Mohammad factor of 100%—regularly ended up earning more money than I did at each event.

(In fact, the training he received from me managed to get him a job at a local restaurant … go figure.)

So much for her Liberal values…

Just in case you might have any doubts, here is that next occasion’s (unfulfilled) menu:

              Appetizers
Margherita Pizza w/ Garden Picked Basil & Heirloom Tomatoes
Three Sisters Cannikins topped with Red Jalapeno Confetti
Broiled Garlic-Marinated Shiitake Mushroom Caps Crowned with Chevre Coins
Flakes of Smoked Trout on Herbed Soft-Cheese Toasted Rusk

              Sides
Sorrel-Wrapped Palm Heart Salad Bundle w/ Quail-Bush Green Goddess Dressing

Great Lakes Wild Rice Pilaf w/ Toasted Fidelio Pasta & Assorted Mushrooms

Purple Potato Inca Hash w/ Diced Pancetta, Minced Shallots & Chopped Chives

              Entrée
Herbes de Provence Broth-Poached Wild Salmon Filet a la Chez Panisse w/ Drawn Lemon Butter, Feather Dill & Capers

              Afters
Dessert Pizzas w/ Chevre, Blood Orange Marmalade, Blenheim Apricots & White Chocolate Puddles
              —————-
The ten or twenty hours of shopping effort alone were abhorrent to consider, much less whatever shifts of prep time and actual in-kitchen efforts involved.

I refused to reward such monumental ingratitude with dutiful service (no matter how much pride I take in furnishing spectacular comestibles).

Again, this stupid cow merely presumed that I would show up on time (without the least agreement to do so, review of my menu or regard about my out-of-pocket-expenses) for more hardship duty and, when I did not, was obliged to summon forth her Hispanic housekeeper whose own delicate stomach causes her to churn out some of the blandest pseudo-Mexican crap I’ve ever tasted.

Finally, I didn’t take “all the details of the scheduled meals”, I took every last document that was created by me for this ungrateful sow. Yes, I was shorted $400 of wages due but she lost out on $10K – $30K of work product that no one (as in: NO FECKING BODY) within her organization has any capability of reproducing.

              Any questions?

            • “I gave no one ANY meal (nor had I made an indisputable commitment to doing so). ”

So, NorseRadish, because you had been insulted and disrespected… then after shopping for the ingredients for the menu with the “ungrateful sow”… You did not show up as Head Chef as she had mistakenly asssumed?

Is that why she fired you?
And was this contested by you as a false accussation of a breech of contract because it was unreasonable for her to have assumed you had agreed to provide the service – whilst losing $400 and a contract of employment in the process?

Getting these facts correct might help with offering two serious points without distractions:

              1. Never give out click-and-save personal information on this monitored website to the three totalitarian enemies of humanity: Communism, Islam and Identitists.

              2. To deal with injustice is not to do so with spite. Better to leave $400 up with a positive reference.

Defend the outer and inner world from these beasts. Give them no justification for going back to their many boards as victims.

              • These beasts need no justifcation for claiming victimhood, Perfect.
They’ve got the lingo, they invent the predicate.

              • My concern is for NorseRadish, Yucki.

Anger limits our choices in the ‘red zone,’ and these manipulators who cause suffering by blowing hot and cold, to and distract others from seeing their incompetence and draw emotional pity on to themselves.

NorseRadish is an excellent chef and he was abused.

As anger hurts our health, I would have enjoyed a subtler report where they begged him back with more money.
That he is a Zen Warrior.

Because every organisation has people from dysfunctional homes who envy talent and true love.

It is like Communist China. Where there’s a whole Falun Gong issue going on of the authorities losing their power-of-control-through-intimidation.
                https://youtu.be/ayH0oyV5Xwo

From my experience, Charities are the worst harborers of such leeches.

              • So, NorseRadish, because you had been insulted and disrespected… then after shopping for the ingredients for the menu with the “ungrateful sow”… You did not show up as Head Chef as she had mistakenly asssumed?

Ummm … no. You really need to read my comments more carefully. No shopping for the second directors dinner had happened.

Is that why she fired you?

This is a bifurcated issue. First off, she knew I was Conservative and Trump’s growing popularity probably put her off her kibble.

Second, my unwillingness to take it on the chin and then bust my hump making her look good was something she was unused to dealing with.

Most other employees tolerated her abuse until they simply walked away from the job. I was one of the only people who ever had the scrotal endowment to tell her things like:

“Whenever you are talking with someone, set a 90 second timer in your head. When that ticks over, stop talking and ask them a question that encourages them to reply.”

And was this contested by you as a false accussation of a breech of contract because it was unreasonable for her to have assumed you had agreed to provide the service – whilst losing $400 and a contract of employment in the process?

I’m not sure where you get this stuff, but you really need to go back and read my comments before I’m willing to spend more time attempting to rectify your various presumptions.

Better to leave $400 up with a positive reference.

There was no possibility of a “positive reference” by the time all this went down.

It’s all fine and dandy as her organization is foundering and some of her biggest projects have stalled.

I’ll give you one brief example: Someone that this woman always brags about as being a “Project Partner” (a term I coined) on a groundbreaking housing development confided to me that any further involvement is pretty much out of the question because of her unprofessional conduct.

That is how deluded this woman is.

Again, please reread my comments. You have made a number of incorrect conclusions.

                • Thank you, this was enlightening NorseRadish.

My blindness had become the focus and the issue because of asking for the exact reason you legitimately got fired was not spelled out.

                  But then you answered:
“Whenever you are talking with someone, set a 90 second timer in your head. When that ticks over, stop talking and ask them a question that encourages them to reply.”

Who talks smartass like this? Out-femaling the female. A passive-aggressive deflection and bully.

                  • Who talks smartass like this?

There was absolutely nothing “smartass” about it. Mine was a sincere effort to make this person realize that she continually bulldozed others with her worldview to the point of alienating them.

She actually took my advice and lasted a week or three before returning to her bad habits.

If I had wanted to be a “smartass”, I’d have told her that talking to someone in a casual or business setting for more than two minutes at a time (barring presentations) means that it’s no longer a conversation but a monologue.

Now, that would be really condescending. Something that I abhor.

                  • OK. I stand corrected. She took this as well-meaning, got into focus, and then lost all over again.

These things may take years or never, when pride has made a home.

          • Thank you for that story. Then you should call the NCCM (if you are in Canada) or CAIR if in the US, and complain that their corporate meals are discriminatory. See how that kind of attention suits them.

            • You’re welcome, Eeyore.

Then you should call the NCCM (if you are in Canada) or CAIR if in the US, and complain that their corporate meals are discriminatory. See how that kind of attention suits them.

If only it was that simple. The (outdoor and totally non-code-compliant) kitchen was part of a not-for-profit facility and, therefore, able to slip under radar when it came to normal regulations.

Rest assured that seeing this moron be on the receiving end of a group like CAIR (or just the municipal authorities) would have been more than worth it.

  3. I hope Google loses big on this.

Cultural Marxism is an affront to real liberal values.

The political left works hard at destroying the foundation of the greatest human system to ever be tried.

    Shame on you Google!

    • Cultural Marxism is an affront to real liberal values.

The central tragedy being that some 90% of Liberals are so mesmerized by their own imagined virtuousness that they will never admit to any such thing, even as the real Marxists are herding them into cattle cars.

  4. I send this video to some of my friends who are from academia…
They said they don’t have time to watch it. Funny how people reacted to simple evidence throwed at them.
Our President is a master at delivering the « message ». Everything that is happening is the contrary of what those who watched TV are seeing.
    Thanks for the video.
Have you ever seen the movie: the lives of others, by Florian Henckel Von Donnersmarck. It about before the fall of the Berlin Wall. East Germany’s Secret Police listened to everything like using the bathroom or having intercourse. In this movie you can identify The people in the swamps; those who run the swamps .

    • I have a friend that is always complaining because conservatives don’t figure out how to get their message on the propaganda media, I tell him that it is on various websites and he says he doesn’t have time enough to watch. I then tell him it is his fault he doesn’t know what is going on.

      • I then tell him it is his fault he doesn’t know what is going on.

HOW DARE YOU!!! You’re blaming the (all-too-willing) victim. For shame!

  5. This beat out any contenders for BEST NEWS OF THE DAY!
I have been wondering about Mr. Damore, I thought he had a slam dunk case the first time I heard about him, after reading the court filing, I am even more convinced.

    • … after reading the court filing, I am even more convinced.

I would more than hope to share your optimism, ME. Only time will tell what hindquarter James Damore’s “justice” will come from.

    • The Court will be rewriting the Constitution if they don’t find this case a violation of the Civil Rights amendment.

  6. Fired Google employee speaks out on lawsuit

James Damore explains why he believes Google discriminates against conservative white men.

      • A profitable growth industry, rather than on the taxpayer’s direct dime. Which’ll make a mighty grim, brave new world, private enterprise being so much more efficient.
