Several subway lines evacuated due to explosion in NYC

And now named:

The Daily Mail and NY Post have good articles with much additional info (except for casting blame on Trump) incl. that it is confirmed to be a muslim inspired terror attack.

    • “Law enforcement sources who spoke to the New York Post says Ullah is speaking to investigators at the hospital, and says he carried out the attack in revenge for his people.

‘They’ve been bombing in my country and I wanted to do damage here,’ Ullah said, according to the sources.”

“His people,” are not kufar, People of the Book, or Moderate Muslims.

  1. Police spokesman just said the bomber is alive in custody is from Bangladesh has been in the country for a minimum of 7 years. Looks like one of Obama’s pets.

  2. Suicide bomber strikes Port Authority

An ISIS-inspired Bangladeshi national set off an homemade explosive device at the Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station Monday morning, law enforcement sources said.

The suspected bomber – a 27-year-old who lived in Brooklyn – had wires attached to him and was armed with a five-inch metal pipe bomb and battery pack as he walked through the Manhattan transit hub, sources said.

The man partially detonated the device, which he was carrying in the right side of his jacket, prematurely inside the passageway to the A, C, and E trains at 8th Avenue and W. 42ndStreet at around 7:40 a.m., sources said.

Police took the man into custody.

  3. To repeat the comment that didn’t post, the bomber is from Bangladesh and has been in the US for a minimum of 7 years. Looks like one of Obama’s pets.

At this early hour and with limited information it is looking like amateur hour, the nutbucket built a pipe bomb and strapped it to his body. (unusual because pipe bombs are normally left behind) He went into the subway at Port Authority and was waiting for a train when the bomb detonated, since he was the only one injured there probably wasn’t anyone around. The nutbucket is alive and in custody and hopefully no idiot will Mirandize him (read him his rights) if this isn’t done they can treat him as an enemy soldier and move him to gitmo.

    • To back up my contention that this was amateur hour look at the picture on the New York Post, he apparently had the pipe bomb strapped to his stomach and is still alive after the explosion.

  4. Pipe bomb explodes in NYC subway near bus terminal during rush hour
By Howard Portnoy December 11, 2017

A small pipe bomb was detonated near New York City’s Port Authority Bus Terminal at the height of rush hour Monday. According to multiple sources, including New York’s Daily News, the explosion was relatively minor, and a suspect was taken into custody. Luckily no one appears to have been injured other than the perpetrator.

The blast went off in an underground subway passage just 200 feet from the terminal at West 42nd St. and Eighth Ave., the sources said.

    […]

Police found an explosive device on the suspect, who had wires attached to his body, one source added.

Authorities evacuated several subway lines but didn’t find any structural damage, which is rather surprising since infrastructure of the more than-hundred-year-old system is constantly said to be crumbling and in dire need of repair.

    • He is looking on the attacks as crimes not military attacks, we either shift to the idea they are military attacks or we will end up losing.

  5. NBC News – Akayed Ullah: NYC explosion suspect identified as 27-year-old Brooklyn man

[…]The former taxi driver — who had the device attached to his body by Velcro and zip ties, according to police — was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

[…]”He did make statements but we’re not going to talk about that right now,”

[…]Ullah came to the United States from Bangladesh with an immigrant visa on Feb. 21, 2011. He is a legal permanent resident with a green card.

[…]“The family is very friendly, very nice, but he was quiet. Never talked to anyone, stayed to himself,” the neighbor said.

    CNN –

The suspect wore an “improvised low-tech explosive device attached to his body. He intentionally detonated that device,” O’Neill said.

Ullah told police he made the device at his workplace, according to a senior New York law enforcement official and a city official being briefed on the investigation.

    — The device was a pipe bomb affixed to his person with a combination of Velcro and zip ties, John Miller, Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, said.

    – Asked if the suspect claimed connection to ISIS, O’Neill told reporters that “he did make statements” but refrained at present from disclosing what he said.

    – Ullah is in custody and is now at Bellevue Hospital. He is being treated for lacerations and burns to his hands and abdomen.
