  1. In a rare candid moment, German media reported at least 200 cases of damaged churches in the region of Bavaria alone every year.

In addition, attacks on summit crosses are also increasing in the region’s mountains. Crosses on several mountain tops have been toppled and destroyed with axes or saws.

There’s a growing anger among the indigenous German population over the attacks. Some people think Islamists are behind it.

      There, fixed that.

      • Egri is looking in to this. So far, it is her best estimate that this is done by militant atheists, along the lines of Pussy Riot in Russia. It could indeed be Muslims, but these items are very hard to get to, and require a day’s work by very fit people.

    • Islamists or militant atheists both are intent on bring down Western Civilization, or civilization is based on the Principles of Christianity and by removing this foundation you destroy the entire culture.

  2. Founded in 1919 by progressive New York intellectuals, The New School rose to prominence two decades later, when it took in a small band of Jewish intellectuals fleeing the Nazis. Eminences like Hannah Arednt, Leo Strauss, and Erich Fromm all benefited from the institution’s commitment to taking in the victims of the world’s most ancient and persistent hatred and giving them a place to pursue their ideas in peace.

How things change: Later this month, the university will co-sponsor a panel on anti-Semitism that will feature, among others, Linda Sarsour, who opined that “nothing is creepier than Zionism,” praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and believes one cannot support the right of Jews to a homeland of their own and still be a feminist. Alongside Sarsour will be Rebecca Vilkomerson, who heads the odious Jewish Voice for Peace. The group, as an ADL report aptly put it, “uses its Jewish identity to shield the anti-Israel movement from allegations of anti-Semitism and to provide the movement with a veneer of legitimacy.” Among JVP’s recent achievements are the enthusiastic support of Rasmea Odeh, a Palestinian terrorist convicted of a bombing attack on a Jerusalem supermarket that left two young students dead and who was recently deported from the United States after lying about the incident on her immigration forms. The group is also a frequent supporter, despite its allegations to the contrary, of Alison Weir, an activist robustly promoting modern-day blood libels against Jews.

  3. U.S. troops deploying to Afghanistan were taught for years that child sex abuse is a “culturally accepted practice” in the country, and were provided no guidance that it constituted a violation of the law and human rights until late 2015.

A new Pentagon inspector general report reveals that although troops weren’t explicitly discouraged from reporting cases of child sex abuse, the issue was not discussed until numerous media outlets reported that troops were encouraged to ignore local Afghan officials abusing little boys.

Interviews of troops from the report suggest that military officials didn’t really care much about stopping child sex abuse.

Just tell the troops to bring their young sons along with them to be bacha bazi and THEN see what happens.

      • I will bet that the top commanders were told not to interfere with the local cultural practices. There may not have been any written orders but I will bet the word was quietly passed.

    • [L]awyer Nabih Al-Wahsh denied the Holocaust, calling it “imaginary.” When challenged by the other guest on the show, Al-Ahram journalist Nabil Sharaf Eldin, Al-Wahsh said: “I’m proud to be antisemitic!” “If I see any Israeli, I will kill him.”

An abrupt deportation to Israel of Al-Wahsh should remedy this matter in no time.

  4. DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) – Two Michigan churches and a mosque tightened security this week after police found a mysterious bag in Dearborn Heights that had a gun and maps of all three inside along with a note threatening violence.

Dearborn Heights police stumbled on a toiletry bag with an unloaded gun inside just laying on the grass near a crowded area. Also inside were three maps: One leading to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids, another showing the route from Dearborn Heights to the Masjid Bilal Mosque in Canton, and a third with directions to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dearborn.

Is it a hoax or a vendetta? Either way, investigators didn’t take any chances and ticketed security at a Dearborn church, Canton mosque, and Grand Rapids Church.

  5. Stephanie and John Baldwin are the All-American family. They raised their children in Plano and took them on camping trips and to Disneyland. They are strong Christians. John is a deacon at his church.

That’s why they were shocked when the parent of one their daughter’s best friend called them with startling news about their teenage daughter, Mackenzie.

“He says Mackenzie is involved with an online relationship, and she is engaged to marry a guy in Kosovo, and she is planning to leave the country and not tell you guys,” said John Baldwin.

Their teenage daughter had obtained a passport and stashed away $5000 from her job to leave the country to marry a charming man she met online in an international chat room.

“I literally only wanted him, and when I say I was obsessed, it was like people with drugs,” Mackenzie Baldwin told WFAA.

  6. Police can legally use 23andMe, other ancestry tools to obtain your DNA

MIAMI – When you give a genetic testing company your DNA to learn more about your ancestral history, you could also be handing it over to law enforcement.

WJAX reports companies such as 23andMe and Ancestry would be willing to give police access to your DNA if they have a warrant.

Although it is possible for police to grab DNA samples from the sites, that information is sometimes difficult to find for those simply looking to learn about their family tree.

    • As with “cloud computing”, this is yet one more example of why indiscriminate sharing of personal data (or biometrics) is sheer insanity.

    • I have been waiting for this to come up, this has been obvious to most intelligent people from the first commercial for the DNA testing companies.

    • Maybe they could store the data in another country in order to prevent FBI/CIA snooping. They could give the owner of the DNA data an encrypted password such that ONLY they could access it. If Apple can do this with their cell phones, then there is no reason why these companies cannot do the same. Then the Federal government could not compel the surrender of the data.

  7. It seems like the democrats have bad luck when it comes to technology.

More likely, though, they have bad luck with staff. The people they choose to work with and employ tend to stab them in the back.

Such was the case with several IT staffers, who have been accused of serious wrongdoing.

Now it looks like the FBI has vital evidence to convict them.

    From Daily Wire:

The FBI has seized smashed hard drives from Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s (D-FL) IT administrator, reported The Daily Caller on Sunday.

Wasserman-Schultz’s IT administrator is Imran Awan, a Muslim Pakistani national. Awan and two of his brothers, Abid and Jamal, have managed IT services for several Democrat representatives including members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Awan and three of his relatives are under criminal investigation for “serious violation on the House IT network”; they had access to the emails of more than two dozen House Democrats via their IT roles…

“When we heard of this, our chief of general staff and EU minister were on their way to Canada. It was a NATO drill, we had 40 soldiers there. We decided to withdraw those troops and they started the necessary process. We said: ‘Withdraw the troops even if those names are taken out.’ Such things have happened from time to time in different places. Unfortunately, we have such people among us too,” he added.”

Two police have been killed and at least 12 people have been wounded by gunfire in the area since mid-August. Police have blamed an “armed criminal group”, but others have said the gunmen were linked to separatist rebels.

The microphones will be able to automatically differentiate various sounds and when they hear particular sounds, like a woman screaming gunshots or explosions, the microphones should automatically alert police in the area through text or email Sveriges Radio reports.

Police expect that the system will be fully operational at some point in 2018 and claim that the new project could reduce their response time by an average of two minutes.

  20. More than a dozen top Trump campaign officials subpoenaed in Mueller probe

Special Counsel Robert Mueller caught the Trump campaign by surprise last month, issuing a subpoena to more than a dozen officials despite the campaign’s voluntary compliance with his probe, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing a source.

The Journal called the subpoena the “first official order” for information from the campaign. The campaign is responding to the order on an “ongoing” basis, the source reportedly told the outlet.

None of those who received the subpoena were compelled to testify before a grand jury, the Journal reported.

“Sending a subpoena to an entity that says it has been cooperating with document requests isn’t unusual in cases in which prosecutors have some concern that their demands aren’t being met promptly or aren’t being entirely fulfilled,” the Journal wrote, citing former prosecutors.

  21. Could Terrorists Hack an Airplane? The Government Just Did.
Hacking experts having been warning for years that it’s too easy to breach a cockpit’s defenses. Now an alarming government test proves their point.

Could terrorists hijack an airliner remotely by hacking into its cockpit controls, putting its fate in their hands?

This question is being asked because of the revelation that a team of cyber experts at the Department of Homeland Security successfully hacked into the avionics of a commercial airplane parked at an airport as part of a test.

The problem is that nobody with knowledge of aviation cyber security is sure of how vulnerable airplanes are to such an attack—and some believe that the DHS test has simply added to the confusion and created needless alarm.

A Boeing spokesman told The Daily Beast: “We witnessed the test and can say unequivocally that there was no hack of the airplane’s flight control systems.”

“PRO-REFUGEE charities have urged French president Emmanuel Macron and Paris officials to provide extra beds for about 1,000 marooned migrants currently sleeping rough on the streets of Paris this winter.

The charities also accused the French capital’s police of harassing and forcibly displacing refugees, who they say are made to sleep outside “without blankets” in sub-zero temperatures.

  25. EU TERROR WARNING: US issues winter travel alert amid heightened threat (express, Nov 17, 2017)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/880959/EU-terror-warning-US-winter-travel-alert-raised-threat

“AMERICA has issued a warning to US citizens travelling to Europe between November and January.

The US State Department warned of an increased terror threat over the upcoming Christmas and New Year season, advising travellers to exercise “caution” at festivals and big events.

The State Department warned the recent wave of terror attacks in France, Sweden, Britain, Spain and Finland showed radical groups such as the Islamic State and al-Qaeda were still able to orchestrate and execute major assaults in Europe, despite recent efforts to crackdown on extremism.

Referring to when a 24-year-old ISIS militant from Tunisia ploughed a van into a crowd of Christmas shoppers, killing 12 people and injuring dozens more, the warning read: “Last year, a mass casualty attack occurred at a Christmas market in Berlin, Germany, in December.”

The State Department also said while local governments continued to carry out counter-terrorism operations in an effort to smash jihadi cells, the US remained “concerned about the potential for future attacks”.

The statement read: “US citizens should always be alert to the possibility that terrorist sympathisers or self-radicalised extremists may conduct attacks with little or no warning. Extremists continue to focus on tourist locations, transportation hubs and markets/shopping malls as viable targets.

“In addition, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, high-profile events, airports and other soft targets remain priority locations for possible attacks. US citizens should exercise additional vigilance in these and similar locations.”

US officials added that EU-based terrorists employed a variety of rudimentary and hard-to-detect terror tactics, including firearms, home-made explosive devices, vehicles (as car ramming devices), and sharp-edged weapons.

The State Department, which urged citizens to “stay in touch with their family” and “have an emergency plan of action ready”, said that the travel alert expired on January 31, 2018.”

  27. “False flag terrorism” occurs when elements within a government stage a secret operation whereby government forces pretend to be a targeted enemy while attacking their own forces or people. The attack is then falsely blamed on the enemy in order to justify going to war against that enemy.

Yes, it’s true: There really are conspiracies. As the popular TV show “The X-Files” notes, all you have to do is look because “the truth is out there.”

But unfortunately many in our society have been conditioned by the old media and politicos not to take any mention of conspiracies seriously, and this despite the fact that conspiracies have been real and have occurred much more frequently than many people realize.

In fact, one website – Washington’s Blog – has documented 58 of them in recent days, and many are quite shocking:

In the following instances, officials in the government which carried out the attack (or seriously proposed an attack) admit to it, either orally, in writing, or through photographs or videos:

  28. Mauritania broadens death penalty for blasphemy

Nouakchott – Showing repentance will no longer prevent the death penalty from being applied for blasphemy and apostasy, Mauritania said on Friday, as the conservative Muslim nation hardens up its religious laws.

The decision follows the release on November 9 of a blogger previously condemned to death for criticising religious justification for discrimination in Mauritanian society.

A new bill will “harden up expected sentences for blasphemers,” the government of the west African nation said in a statement released by the official AMI news agency.

“Every Muslim, man or woman, who mocks or insults Mohammed , his angels, books… is liable to face the death penalty, without being asked to repent. They will incur the death penalty even if they repent,” Justice Minister Brahim Ould Daddah said, according to the statement.

The decision to free blogger Cheikh Ould Mohamed Ould Mkheitir for time served after his sentence for blasphemy was downgraded from death to two years in jail caused clashes and outrage in Mauritania last week.

A Muslim in his thirties, Mkheitir was sentenced in December 2014 over a blog which questioned decisions taken by the Prophet Mohammed and his companions during holy wars in the seventh century.

He also attacked the mistreatment of Mauritania’s black population, blasting “an iniquitous social order” with an underclass that was “marginalised and discriminated against from birth.”

Prosecutors have appealed the decision to release the blogger and are calling once more for the death penalty to be handed down.

Mauritania has not carried out the death penalty since 1987.

Justice Minister Ould Daddah said times had changed since the original law was written in 1983, and “consequentially the law has to move on,” AMI reported.

    • Buck, this is where the ancient tradition comes from of castrating these types with a dull, rusty, butter knife.

Over the years, there has been perfected a less-than-gentle, slow, sawing motion, and an exceedingly prolonged process of removal that regularly assures extensive howling and shrieks that interfere with the sleep of all dogs within a quarter-mile radius.

From what I’m led to understand, tickets and buttered popcorn sales connected to these events have become a major revenue center for these locals right up and until the point where they finally realize that its their own precious little squeakers that are doing the squealing. Go figure…

      • A case can be made that Western Civilization stopping public executions caused the bad behavior to increase. I know that stopping the death penalty for rape and child molestation let to a gradual increase in the crimes.

In a semi related way the anti dueling laws led to the lack of courtesy that we now complain about.

  30. Oh BTWs got my St James of Matamoros cross today from the post office.
Did you know that for an extra $10 you could of added a chain Donkeyman?
The stainless steel presentation box rocks though mate!

British buyers, be aware that you will have to pay £15.30 in customs tax though.

    • Thanks! Yeah im kinda proud of the boxes. They are of course, quite useful for multiple things from folding money to business cards after you take the Cross out. Sorry about the taxes, but that is your government, and the thing about a chain is, if people break a chain I include then, well they blame me. I recommend getting a real stainless steel snake style chain online. Doesn’t tarnish, and its very hard to break. Also not expensive if you take your time and search a lot of sites.

  31. WASHINGTON, DC — The House Foreign Affairs Committee unanimously passed the Taylor Force Act (House Resolution 1164) on Wednesday, taking the United States government one step closer to cutting funding to the Palestinian Authority (PA) if it refuses to end its practice of “pay for slay,” which involves rewarding terrorists for killing Americans and Israelis.
Rep. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) initially introduced the legislation last year in honor of a former U.S. army officer and a Vanderbilt University student who was stabbed to death by a Palestinian terrorist on March 8, 2016, while visiting Tel Aviv.

Terrorists who kill Jews and Americans are rewarded up to $3,500 per month.

  32. BREAKING: Car rams into military police officers in France (express, Nov 17, 2017)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/881014/france-car-military-police-puy-de-dome-gendarmes-injured-drunk-driver

“TWO military police officers have been left seriously injured after a car mowed into them in what is believed to be a hit-and-run incident.

The officers, known as gendarmes, had been checking another vehicle when they were struck by the car which sped off, according to local media.

The two victims, believed to be a 20-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, have been seriously injured but they are not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

Both gendarmes and the motorist who had been stopped at the time of the incident were taken to hospital.

According to La Montagne, the vehicle “zigzagged near the scene, a few minutes before”, suggesting that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol.

The alleged driver was arrested after the offending car was found in the district of Bérangers, Thiers.

The incident took place in Puy-de-Dome, a mountainous region in central France.

  33. Germany: Spike in Stabbings

    by Soeren Kern

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/11383/germany-stabbings

A recent surge in stabbings and knife-related violence across Germany is drawing renewed attention to the deteriorating security situation there since Chancellor Angela Merkel’s 2015 decision to allow in more than a million migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

In recent months, people armed with knives, axes and machetes have brought devastation to all of Germany’s 16 federal states. Knives have been used not only not only to carry out jihadist attacks, but also to commit homicides, robberies, home invasions, sexual assaults, honor killings and many other types of violent crime.

Knife-related crimes have occurred in amusement parks, bicycle trails, hotels, parks, public squares, public transportation, restaurants, schools, supermarkets and train stations. Many Germans have the sense that danger lurks everywhere; public safety, nowhere.

Police admit they are outnumbered and overwhelmed and increasingly unable to maintain public order — both day and night.

  34. FBI: Anti-White Hate Crimes SKYROCKET

A new report from the FBI revealed the fastest growing racial hate crimes in the United States: crimes committed against white people.

The FBI report on 2016 Hate Crime Statistics shows that, in 2016, there were 876 anti-white hate crime offenses reported in the United States. That’s a 20 percent increase from 2015.

However, hate crimes seem to be rising precipitously across the board – as the American people continue to divide themselves along racial and religious lines.

Hate crimes targeting Latinos increased by 18.5 percent from 2015 to 2016. However, hate crimes targeting African-Americans declined very slightly.

Hate crimes against members of particular religions have also risen across the board: anti-Semitic hate crimes increased by 20 percent, anti-Islamic hate crimes increased by 26.5 percent, and anti-Catholic hate crimes ticked up ever so slightly as well.

  35. The New York Times’ Liberal Bias Just Got WAY WORSE

11/15/2017 Source: AAN by: Remington Strelivo

The New York Times wants Facebook to start designating pro-life content as fake news.

In a column for the Times, Rossalyn Warren argued that Facebook should censor pro-life sites – claiming they only spread lies and innuendo about abortion. Warren tries reinforcing her claims by citing the George Soros-funded organization, Media Matters.

Part of Warren’s rationale for silencing pro-life stories is the fact that people freely choose to share them.

“People on Facebook engage with anti-abortion content more than abortion-rights content at a ‘disproportionate rate,'” she lamented. Because of Facebook algorithms, that means “more people see” pro-life content than pro-abortion content.

  36. Orwellian ‘defense bill’ imports 3,500 more Afghan immigrants

In the United States of Orwell, a “defense bill” means bringing in more immigrants from one of the most dangerous countries in the world. Our backwards strategy of spending up to $4 trillion in the Middle East primarily to referee Islamic civil wars and even grow Iranian hegemony — all for the purpose of defending our homeland — ends in bringing in more Islamists to our shores.

Folks, you can’t make this stuff up.

Now Congress is set to bring in more Afghans, when the country is more volatile than ever and it’s nearly impossible to distinguish a Taliban operative from non-Taliban.

Today, the House is voting on the final conference report for the FY 2018 defense bill, which authorizes $692.1 billion in defense programs. After sticking 2,500 more Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs) into the budget bill earlier this year, the conference committee on the defense bill (NDAA) agreed to insert 3,500 more visas for Afghan contractors and interpreters into the defense bill (sec. 1213 of H.R. 2810). While this sounds like a nice idea, history has shown it is hard to vet their family members. SIV recipients can bring in an unlimited number of family members. Any number of them can be Sharia-adherent Muslims and become yet another statistic in the growing trend of children of Middle Eastern immigrants who rise up against their new homeland in the West.

Even the interpreters themselves are very hard to vet. There is a resurgence of fear of green-on-blue attacks among the Afghan military and civilian workers. Remember, the Bowling Green, Ky., bomb-plotters were Iraqi SIVs who were caught trying to blow up the soldiers they worked for.

More egregiously, this comes on the heels of a Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) report showing that half of all the foreign personnel who have gone AWOL in this country after being brought here for training were Afghans. Most are still at large and unaccounted for. Astoundingly, Afghans accounted for only one percent of foreign military personnel trained on our shores. Is now really the best time to bring in more Afghans who work with the military before we get to the bottom of this troubling finding?

The original House version of the NDAA didn’t contain the immigration provision, but as always, the more liberal Senate won out in conference in order to railroad House conservatives. They are confronted with an all-or-nothing choice of voting against a pay raise for the military or voting for a provision that undermines the entire purpose of national defense.

Congress already added an additional 3,000 visas for these individuals plus an unlimited number for family members in the FY 2016 NDAA. Most of those visas have not even been issued yet. So why would Congress open the floodgates for even more visas at a cost of several hundred million dollars? Remember, SIV recipients are treated like refugees and are immediately eligible for all social entitlement and resettlement programs. In recent years, the program has been expanded for other support members beyond interpreters or those helping our soldiers on the front lines — and this program is in addition to a separate visa program specifically for interpreters.

Supporters of the SIVs contend that we “owe” citizenship to those who risked their lives to work with the military in Afghanistan. However, if we are accomplishing no discernable goal in Afghanistan other than bringing in more immigrants, then the entire operation is not worth it to the American people. The entire impetus for the “war on terror” was a 9/11 attack by people who should never have been let into the country. Foreign policy and military intervention are ultimately for homeland security, yet we now go overseas so we can make our homeland insecure.

After 15 years of failure in Afghanistan, we are fighting for a corrupt Sharia government. Now we have nothing to show for it but more immigrants who, by and large, are strict adherents to Sharia. Just today it was announced that another four U.S. troops were injured by a Taliban suicide bombing. To what end?

Meanwhile, the NDAA authorizes another $5 billion for the Afghan forces at a time when they are more impotent, corrupt, and compromised than ever before. The bill also authorizes another $1.2 billion to train and equip Iraqi forces for “counter-ISIS” operations. At a time when ISIS is on its last legs and Iranian-backed Iraqi forces are our biggest enemy in the region, how does this not mean we are funding our enemies — the same enemies who use our hardware to attack the Kurds? There is already significant evidence that in their misdirected focus exclusively on ISIS, the failed military and civilian leaders have allowed weapons to fall into the hands of Iranian-backed groups designated by the State Department as terrorists. Why would lawmakers blindly give up the leverage of the defense bill without first addressing this?

In a functioning Congress, the consideration of the defense bill could have been a moment for Congress to reassert itself over our backwards foreign policy that has been on autopilot from past administrations. We are flushing $4 trillion and not only failing to see results, we are downright helping enemies against allies, or at the very least, helping one enemy over another. Such an effort could have been bipartisan, as it does not touch the traditional hot-button issues. Yet the theater of failure will continue. Because the special interest groups — foreign and domestic — win out over the American people as a whole and dogmatic allegiance to the status quo wins out over commonsense reforms.

We have a nonexistent Congress that sits idly by while American weapons flow to our most dangerous enemy, Iran, but that actively bring the danger of jihadists to our shores.

It’s not hard to see why we have so much turmoil in our political culture. Many voters have reached the point, for better or for worse, where they have internalized the adage of Bill Buckley that it’s better to vote for the first names in a telephone book — or worse — than continue down the current path of re-electing those with the upside-down priorities of the political class. Until a party and a movement arise that stand for common sense and make a good-faith effort to address the basic concerns of the citizenry, the false dichotomies of the two failed factions of the political class will continue to play on the worst instincts of all constituencies.

USA: 3,000 additional troops deployed in Afghanistan – Pentagon

Around 3,000 additional military servicemen have arrived in Afghanistan since August, Pentagon Joint Staff Director Lieutenant General Kenneth McKenzie told the press in a briefing in Washington DC, Thursday.

The newly deployed troops join another 11, 000 troops already present in the country, totaling around 14,000.

“We’ve just completed a force flow into Afghanistan, so the new number for Afghanistan is now approximately 14,000,” Lt. Gen. McKenzie commented.
