Officials are investigating a security breach at Miami Airport after a man managed to squeeze through a baggage carousel.
He was seen on CCTV footage jumping on to the conveyor belt and crawling through the luggage chute.
He was later captured on camera being chased by several airport workers across the tarmac before being caught.
“Had there been a plane at that gate, this individual could have entered the plane or had access to the aircraft. This is a very restricted area, only accessible to some with very limited access, and he was able to gain access. Very concerning,” a source told the Herald newspaper.
The source said the man accessed a highly restricted area off-limits to many airport workers.
I would be confident that this was a trial run for an upcoming operation, if I was in security services.
