The South Korean military have fired at an unidentified North Korean projectile that is reported to have crossed the border between the two nations on Tuesday evening. Yonhap later said the object was a drone. After spotting the object, the army broadcast warning signals and fired shots in accordance with its procedures, the South Korean joint chiefs of staff said. “The military is on high alert and air surveillance has been strengthened,” it added. The army fired about 90 shots at 4pm local time when the device flew near South Korea’s eastern Gangwon province, the Yonhap state news agency reported.

  1. Seoul: North Korea fires several projectiles to sea

SEOUL, South Korea – South Korea says North Korea has fired several unidentified projectiles to the sea in what appears to be the latest weapons tests for the country that has been rapidly expanding its nuclear weapons and missile program.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said Saturday that that the projectiles were fired from an area from the North’s eastern coast and flew about 250 kilometers (155 miles).

The JCS says the South Korea and U.S. militaries were analyzing the launch.

The launch comes weeks after North Korea created a tense standoff with the United States by threatening to lob some of its missiles toward Guam.

North Korea also successfully flight-tested a pair of intercontinental ballistic missiles in July that analysts say could reach deep into the U.S. mainland when perfected

    • Xi Jinping and Crazy Fat Boy are going to keep pushing until we are forced to use military force. Unlike the idiots on the left I am not going to say there is no military solution just that a quick in and our strike won’t work, we will have to commit massive forces to destroy all of their military forces we can, at the same time the US and South Korea are going to have to invade North Korea and push up to seize the nuclear facilities. As a rough guess this operation would consist of a ground invasion through the DMZ and a seaborne invasion near the nuclear facilities to seize and hold them until the ground invasion can reach and relieve them. This is the only way that I can see that would ensure that the North Korean forces don’t move and hide some of the warheads.

If we do use this plan or one close to it my oft stated opinion that WWII saw the last large scale combat drop of paratroops may, probably will be proven wrong as they are dropped onto air fields near the nuclear facilities to seize and hold them until we can use our heavy cargo planes to fly in more men, as well as tanks and artillery.
