    • Hey, no problem.

This only makes the genocide of our enemies that much more acceptable.

These shites keep on making and re-making their own beds without ever considering that, one day, they will have to sleep in them.

  1. US airstrikes in Somalia; high-level al-Shabab leader killed (abcnews, Aug 10, 2017)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/us-airstrikes-somalia-high-level-al-shabab-leader-49139198

“The U.S. military has announced two new airstrikes against al-Shabab extremists in Somalia, and Somalia’s president says the joint operation killed a high-level leader of the group.

The U.S. statement says the airstrikes were carried out Thursday near the Banadiir region in southern Somalia.

Somalia’s president in a separate statement says the al-Shabab leader had been part of a network responsible for planning and carrying out several bombings and assassinations in the capital, Mogadishu.

President Donald Trump earlier this year approved expanded military operations against the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab, including more aggressive airstrikes and considering parts of southern Somalia areas of active hostilities.

Al-Shabab is the deadliest Islamic extremist group in Africa.

The U.S. earlier this month confirmed another airstrike killed al-Shaba’s shadow governor for Mogadishu.”

  2. Trump Says White House ‘Close’ to Making Decision on Afghan Strategy (sputniknews, Aug 11, 2017)
    https://sputniknews.com/us/201708111056365647-trump-white-house-afghan-strategy/

“US President Donald Trump said his administration is getting closer to making a major decision on the way forward in Afghanistan.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Senator John McCain introduced on Thursday an amendment that details a strategy to resolve the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan.

“We’re getting close, we’re getting very close,” Trump said in a press conference on Thursday. “It’s a very big decision for me. I took over a mess.”

Earlier in the day, Trump met with his national security team to discuss matters concerning North Korea, Venezuela, and Afghanistan.

On July 14, Defense Secretary James Mattis said the US Defense Department was close to completing its policy review for a new strategy in Afghanistan. Media reports later said that Trump was unsatisfied with the strategies presented to him and sent them back.”

    • WTF is McCain doing by having any mention in current affairs?

This magnificent turd has all the value of a spavined plow horse.

Marginalizing this worthless bastid would be a favor to all involved, including McCain.

  3. Number of Asylum Seekers with Mental Health Issues Rising in Germany (breitbart, Aug 10, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/08/10/number-asylum-seekers-mental-health-issues-rising-germany/

“After a series of violent attacks perpetrated by migrants in Germany which have been blamed on mental illness, new studies have noted a sharp increase in the number of asylum seekers showing evidence of depression and trauma.

German studies show that the rate of mental illness amongst asylum seekers is far higher than the country’s national average among native born residents. Some estimates claim the rate of depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and other mental illnesses are up to 10 times higher amongst asylum seekers than native Germans, Der Spiegel reports.

The rate of depression is most prominent amongst asylum seekers with some studies claiming that 40 per cent suffer from depression and men, especially, are likely to have suicidal thoughts.

Doctor and psychotherapist Mechthild Wenk-Ansohn said that some asylum seekers develop some sort of mental illness during the asylum process because of the fear and uncertainty regarding their future. Wenk-Ansohn said that whilst the issue has come into the national conversation, the resources are limited and that makes it hard for therapists to deal with afflicted asylum seekers.

Wenk-Ansohn said that these sort of asylum seekers are targets for groups like Islamic State and other jihadist groups as they promise to offer solutions to their problems. The psychotherapist said she had personally witnessed radical Islamist Salafists try to recruit mentally ill asylum seekers…”

    • Compound that many times over with the PTSD they’re INFLICTING on the natives. Every attack, many walking wounded. Victims of assault, witnesses, their families.

This exacts a very high toll. One scarcely acknowledged till the damage is far advanced.

      Traumatized people are unpredictable.

I suggest Federica Mogherini go full burqa. The Shitte chador will be insufficient protection soon. Even in EU-funded private air-taxis.

The EU flag would make a nice shroud for her, though.

  5. Libya navy bars foreign ships from migrant ‘search and rescue’ zone (middleeasteye, Aug 10, 2017)
    http://www.middleeasteye.net/news/libya-navy-bars-foreign-ships-migrant-search-and-rescue-zone-195131437

“The Libyan navy on Thursday ordered foreign vessels to stay out of a coastal “search and rescue zone” for migrants headed for Europe, a measure it said targeted NGOs.

“We want to send out a clear message to all those who infringe Libyan sovereignty and lack respect for the coastguard and navy,” Libyan navy spokesman General Ayoub Qassem told a news conference in Tripoli.

General Abdelhakim Bouhaliya, commander of the Tripoli naval base where the conference was held, said: “No foreign ship has the right to enter” the area without authorisation from the Libyan authorities.

Libya has “officially declared a search and rescue zone”, said Bouhaliya, without specifying the scope of the exclusion zone.

Qassem said the measure was aimed against “NGOs which pretend to want to rescue illegal migrants and carry out humanitarian actions”.

He urged humanitarian organisations to “respect our will… and obtain authorisation from the Libyan state even for rescue operations”…”

  6. 2 Filipinas, Indian woman rescued from ‘detention’ in Abu Dhabi (gulfnews, Aug 10, 2017)

“The local authorities rescued two Filipinas along with an Indian woman who were “detained” in the capital, the Philippine Embassy told Gulf News on Thursday.

“They reached here on tourist visas to work as maids,” said Anna Guerra, Third Sectary and Vice-Consul at the embassy.

Some people brought to the embassy’s attention some Facebook posts describing the illegal detention of the women and the embassy alerted the local authorities, she said.

“We are grateful to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials of Abu Dhabi Police, who acted promptly to rescue the women,” Guerra said.

Abu Dhabi Police were not available for comments…”

  7. Is It Already Too Late to Stop North Korea?

In the wake of this shocking report in the Washington Post on North Korea’s nuclear and ICBM program being far more advanced than we previously believed, Foreign Policy published an article by one of the premier nuclear experts in the U.S. that essentially says the game is over and North Korea has won.

Jeffrey Lewis, an arms control and nuclear arms expert, has been following the North Korean nuclear program for decades. He makes a convincing case that the Kim regime has more nuclear weapons than we thought and that from the very start of their nuclear program, they decided to build miniaturized bombs to fit on top of long-range missiles.

Lewis believes that the North Koreans went about building their nuclear program differently than some other nuclear powers. Instead of beginning with an implosion device — a “Fat Man” bomb using highly enriched uranium — they strove to build small, compact plutonium bombs.

Richard: It is too late for diplomacy to work and the lack of Chinese action says they don’t want to stop Kim. The Chinese are telling India that the Countdown to war has begun ( http://indianexpress.com/article/india/doklam-sikkim-china-india-bhutan-pla-china-daily-4789292/ ). China does seem to be throwing North Korea under the bus by doing nothing to stop him and prevent the US from using military force. China may be using the US to get rid of a puppet that is becoming powerful enough to be a danger to China while using our coming action in North Korea to allow them to take on India in the Himalayan mountains. China knows that the US will not let the South Koreans move beyond the Border and they also know that after the shooting stops the South Koreans will welcome back everyone who ran to China for shelter.

One thing we can’t do is kick the can down the road while we search for a way to stop Kim from getting more nukes and better missiles, all waiting will do is increase the number of causalities, probably by an order of magnitude. We can’t let Kim get away with this because Iran will be next and after Iran who will be next? We either stop it now or let everyone two bit dictator get nukes.

    • Israel Developing Ways to Survive Nuclear Radiation

Acute radiation syndrome (ARS) may be the result of an accident with diagnostic and therapeutic devices, or with a nuclear facility (Chernobyl, Fukushima).

It may also be the result of an intentional act of terrorism, involving the use of a radiological dispersal device (i.e., dirty bomb), an improvised nuclear device, an attack on a nuclear power plant, or any number of potential scenarios.

The major goals of a response plan to a radio-nuclear emergency are to protect the public, as well as the emergency personnel while performing their duties.

A novel protection device that recently reached the market is the StemRad 360 Gamma wearable shield, which allows the protection of enough bone marrow tissue among first responders and all those who may be exposed to high radiation levels in a way that will ensure their survival.

The first 36-48 hours following exposure are critical. There is a time window allowing for treatment even in a mass casualty scenario.

Pluristem Therapeutics Inc. is developing cell therapy products that release a mix of therapeutic proteins in response to signals from cells and tissues that have been damaged by conditions such as inflammation, ischemia, hematological disorders, or exposure to radiation.

      • At least they are working on this, if the US government pays for such research the Dems will shut down the government.

    • “Fat Man” was an implosion device using Pu; “Thin Man” was a gun-type nuke using U-235. The USA developed “Oralloy” (94% U235, 5% U238 and 1% U234) for use in miniaturized nuclear warheads and to act as the trigger for thermonuclear weapons.

    • One thing we can’t do is kick the can down the road…

      END OF STORY.

Too bad that Clinton, Bush 2.0, and 0bama were brain-dead on this topic.

      • The first and third thought that we could live with a nuclear North Korea like we lived with a nuclear USSR.I don’t know what the second was thinking.

Look at how the first and third and their people keep saying that we don’t have to worry about a nuclear Iran, we can contain them until they implode like we did with the USSR.

  8. Obama Admin. Found Out About North Korea’s Mini Nukes Back in 2013 but Downplayed Report

You can chalk this up as another example of President Obama employing his signature strategy for dealing with sticky national security issues: Ignore, discredit or downplay. If the foreign policy crisis was too big to ignore, he would was give a speech — and kick the can down the road for another president to deal with.

In 2013, Obama not only downplayed the Defense Intelligence Agency’s intelligence report about Korea’s mini nukes — He attempted to discredit it. The White House media echo-chamber was — as always — happy to go along with the ruse.

        • Richard: My guess is Indonesia or Kenya, probably Indonesia.

If America takes a hit, nuke those shitholes out of existence.

Along with Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, and every other “death to America” piece of crap that wants us dead.

Better yet, as of now, place all of these crapfests on notice that if America takes even the slightest hit, all of them become 24 hour (self-illuminating) glow-in-the-dark parking lots.

          • Once the firing starts we may have no choice but to resort to nukes and will probably end up with a use them or lose them scenario. Despite what the libs keep saying a nuclear war won’t destroy the earth or all human live on earth, it will destroy civilization but I doubt if it will reduce the tech level of the world.

          • Back in 01 I was talking to a lifer brat (son of a career military man) and he said that if one nuke explodes in the US or our territories within 20 years the nationality or religion that hits us won’t exit, the military active and retired will hunt them all down and kill them.

  9. Germany: ‘Absolute chaos’ – WDR journalist blasts German media for following government agenda

WDR journalist Claudia Zimmermann told her story of becoming a German whistleblower during an interview in Berlin, Thursday.

Zimmermann was working for the German public broadcasting institution for over 20 years when she gave an interview to Dutch radio L1, stating that German channels tend to cover the refugee crisis in Europe according to the government agenda.

Her interview caused outrage for WDR management. “First there was absolute chaos…Several times I was called into the office, then asked to leave it. The boss pondered, what we could do, so to speak, to minimize the damage,” Zimmermann said.

Although she was not officially fired, her ideas for coverage were approved less and less frequently, which led to her “kind of emotional burnout”.

She is still working on revealing the true situation within German media. “I would wish that many more colleagues dared to do more critical coverage”, said Zimmerman. “This is not about the journalists. The problem comes from the top to bottom,” she stated.

  10. Tillerson’s State Department hosts CAIR, radical Islamic groups

OPEN SUPPORTERS OF HAMAS TERROR GROUP MEET WITH STATE OFFICIALS.

The Council on American Islamic Relations, a Hamas-tied Muslim Brotherhood front group, met with officials from the State Department Thursday to discuss the ongoing situation in Jerusalem, the American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) posted online.

The delegation was brought together by an umbrella conglomerate of Islamist outfits known as the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO). They went to the State Dept. to discuss the “ongoing Al-Aqsa Mosque crisis and Israel’s denial of religious freedom in Jerusalem, which is holy to the three Abrahamic faiths,” the AMP website said.

In July, Palestinian terrorists stormed outside the Al-Aqsa mosque compound and assassinated two Israeli police officers, setting off a diplomatic firestorm that would result in Israel securing the facility with metal detectors (which would later be removed due to international pressure).

Represented at the meeting included a CAIR official and members of other suspected Muslim Brotherhood front groups, such as the Islamic Circle of North America and the Islamic Shura Council of North America.

The delegation included Osama Abu Irshaid, a leader at AMP and an open supporter of Hamas. Terrorism expert Steven Emerson reported that he once served as the editor of “Al-Zaitounah” periodical, which Emerson describes as “pro-Hamas propaganda.”

Emerson has compared AMP as a whole to a “Hamas-support network” that mimics the Hamas-funding organizations that federal prosecutors shut down during the George W. Bush administration.

Another member of the delegation, Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, once called for Islamic law to dominate the world, declaring: “Allah’s rules have to be established in all lands, and all our efforts should lead to that direction.”

Oussama Jamal of USCMO, another member of the group, has accused the U.S. government of promoting a “Zionist agenda.” After the 9/11 attacks, he pondered, “How certain are we that it was Arabs who were behind it?”

As Rex Tillerson’s underlings and colleagues welcome the aforementioned radicals, he has thus far successfully blocked efforts to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

In June, Tillerson falsely claimed that the Muslim Brotherhood has moderated itself by “renouncing violence.” Far from renouncing violence, Muslim Brotherhood leaders continue to call for “open jihad” against perceived enemies.

    • Tillerson would have nothing to do with CAIR and Trump never answered their requests to meet or returned their calls.
Yes, they met with insignificant underlings, nothing more.
As to MB, they need Qatar for stability in Middle-East and the Israel Muslim issue. And then again, there is Erdogan…Just let it play out. Trump knows what he’s doing.
