  4. 5 million immigrants granted US citizenship can’t speak English

In a stunning indictment of the system that tests immigrants on their eligibility to become “naturalized citizens,” a new report finds that a third are functionally illiterate, unable to speak and understand enough English to get that status.

Some 32 percent of naturalized citizens, about 5 million, fall below “basic” skills in English, the equivalent of being functionally illiterate, according to a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies.

The report is a follow on to one that found 67 percent of immigrants in the United States for 15 years or more can’t speak much English.

  5. Left-Wing Extremism Killed JFK and His Party
Election Denial is the latest left-wing conspiracy theory.

The Democrat Party now stands for one thing: accusing President Trump of being a Russian agent.

This bold new agenda has proven so enormously popular that the Democrats have wasted $40 million to lose four special elections. The Democrats are leaderless. Their base has become a roving mob of angry embittered sloganeers showing up at town hall meetings and random political events to scream hate. They threaten to kill the wives, children and dogs of Republican members of Congress.

Some, like James Hodgkinson, the Bernie Sanders supporter who opened fire at a Republican charity baseball practice, do more than threaten. They actually unleash all that simmering anger.

The Democrats are going into the midterm elections on a conspiracy theory. The theory is backed by their fake news media outlets at the Washington Post, the New York Times and CNN. It just lacks any actual evidence beyond the sort of web of connections usually advanced by conspiracy theorists.

House rejects controversial study of Islam

The House on Friday rejected a controversial GOP proposal identifying “Islamic religious doctrines, concepts or schools of thought” that could be used by terrorist groups — something opponents say is unconstitutional and will lead to the targeting of Muslims.

More than 20 centrist Republicans joined with Democrats to defeated the amendment, 208 to 217. Drafted by conservative Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), the proposal called for the Pentagon to identify Islamic leaders who preach peaceful beliefs versus those who espouse extremist views.[…]

  7. Germany: Infectious Diseases Spreading as Migrants Settle In

    by Soeren Kern
    July 14, 2017 at 5:00 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10676/germany-migrants-infectious

A failed asylum seeker from Yemen who was given sanctuary at a church in northern Germany to prevent him from being deported has potentially infected more than 50 German children with a highly contagious strain of tuberculosis.

The man, who was sheltered at a church in Bünsdorf between January and May 2017, was in frequent contact with the children, some as young as three, who were attending a day care center at the facility. He was admitted to a hospital in Rendsburg in June and subsequently diagnosed with tuberculosis — a disease which only recently has reentered the German consciousness.

Local health authorities say that in addition to the children, parents and teachers as well as parishioners are also being tested for the disease, which can develop months or even years after exposure. It remains unclear if the man received the required medical exams when he first arrived in Germany, or if he is one of the hundreds of thousands of migrants who have slipped through the cracks.

The tuberculosis scare has cast a renewed spotlight on the increased risk of infectious diseases in Germany since Chancellor Angela Merkel allowed in around two million migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

A new report by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the federal government’s central institution for monitoring and preventing diseases, confirms an across-the-board increase in disease since 2015, when Germany took in an unprecedented number of migrants.

  9. Georgia: Thousands attend nationalist march against illegal immigration in Tbilisi

Thousands attended the ‘March of Georgians’ in Tbilisi, on Friday evening, which was called to protest against illegal immigrants in the country.

Many protesters waved the Georgian flag, while some held up signs including “Stop Migration, Go Home”, and “Identity Solidarity of USA, Poland, Hungary”. Christian religious imagery was also on display at the march.

One of the protest organisers, Former Georgian MP Sandro Bregadze, called for deportation of illegal immigrants from Georgia, saying, “We ask that citizens of other countries who are illegally in the territory of Georgia to be deported and that to close these ‘nests of debauchery’.”

Georgian journalist Zaza Davitaia was also among the organisors of the march that sought to denounce alleged “illegal actions” of immigrants living in the country.

  10. UK: Scuffles break out between Erdogan supporters and pro-Kurdish group in London
Scuffles broke out between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan supporters and a pro-Kurdish group, who were rallying against an AKP [Turkish President Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party] meeting taking place in Waltham Forest Town Hall, in London, on Friday.

The AKP [Turkish President Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party] meeting was organised by the Union of European Turkish democrats to mark Turkey’s failed coup attempt in 2016.

President of Union of European Turkish democrats Zafer Sirakaya asked a police officer to shut down the rally stating, “This is a terrorist organisation that is accepted also in England as a terrorist organisation, and your duty as a police officer is not allowing them.”

Opposition supporters waved flags in support of the PKK Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) flag and chanted against Erdogan. One protester Abdullah Gurlek condemned Erdogan stating, “AK government has shut down over 150 media outlets, have silenced Kurdish, Turkish progressive media, have imprisoned thousands of journalists, who are exposing the true face of AKP.”

  13. China Shipping Troops to Base in Africa

China has just begun sending a very dangerous weapon — its troops — to a base in the East African nation of Djibouti just miles from where a U.S. special operations base is located.

According to American Military News, the base in Djibouti will be China’s first such outpost overseas. Beijing has billed it as a “logistics facility” to fight piracy in the Gulf of Aden as well as a major outpost to help launch African peacekeeping efforts. The base, which began construction in early 2016, isn’t operational yet. However, a batch of personnel departed from a naval base in Zhanjiang on Tuesday.

“The base will ensure China’s performance of missions, such as escorting, peacekeeping and humanitarian aid in Africa and west Asia,” a report from Beijing’s state-run Xinhua news agency read, according to the South China Morning Post.

    • China sends troops to first overseas naval base in Djibouti

Military began construction of the ‘logistics facility’ in the Horn of Africa last year

Ships carrying Chinese military personnel for Beijing’s first overseas military base, in Djibouti in the Horn of Africa, have left China to begin setting up the facility, the state news agency Xinhua reported.

Djibouti’s position on the northwestern edge of the Indian Ocean has fuelled worries in India that it would become another of China’s “string of pearls” of military alliances and assets ringing India, including Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka

      http://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy-defence/article/2102266/china-sends-troops-first-overseas-naval-base-djibouti

    • What type of Troops?

      How many troops?

Having ask these questions this is something I have been predicting, the want the US military tied down in the Far East so they can make big moves elsewhere. The Horn of Africa is a logical place for them to move into. The piracy gives them a good excuse and this will give them a base from which to project power into the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.

The Times of India http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/china/chinas-military-base-in-djibouti-implications-for-india-and-rest-of-the-world/articleshow/59565210.cms says that this will bring the number of Chinese troops in Africa to 2500. The nearest American base is a base is a small special operations bases with a much larger base with 4000 people. There is also an allied base near that have Japanese soldiers and other military personal from nations near China. This is providing a new flash point for WWIII and is a place to watch closely.
