    IS GRENFELL TOWER A FIRETRAP?

    From: Grenfell action Group

Subject: Re: Grenfell Tower- Ongoing concerns!
    Date: Wed, 20 Aug 2014

    Dear Ben,

I am very sorry to trouble you again and I hope that you can understand that my reason for doing so is entirely genuine.

A number of residents of Grenfell Tower are very concerned at the fact that the new improvement works to Grenfell Tower have turned our building into a fire trap.

There is only one entry and exit to the tower block itself and, in the event of a fire, the LFB could only gain access to the entrance to the building by climbing four flights of narrow stairs.

On top of this the fire escape exit on the walkway level has now been sealed.

Residents of Grenfell Tower do not have any confidence that our building has been satisfactorily assessed to cope with the new improvement works and we are seeking a meeting with the Chief Fire Officer from Kensington Fire Station so that these concerns can be addressed.

Thank you for your continued assistance with this matter.

    Kind regards,
    Grenfell Action Group

Grenfell Tower Still A Fire Risk

…our landlords failure to deal with a serious health and safety issue that recently developed at the entrance/exit to Grenfell Tower. This matter is of particular concern as there is only one entry and exit to Grenfell Tower during the Improvement Works and the potential for a fire to break out in the communal area on the walkway does not bear thinking about as residents would be trapped in the building with no way out!

In recent weeks TMO staff allowed a quantity of household ‘bulk’ rubbish to accumulate, including old mattresses, in the temporary entrance foyer of the tower. This accumulation constituted a potential fire risk and a danger to residents…

…If ever any evidence was needed of the neglect and lack of care towards residents of Grenfell Tower by the TMO, then we believe that their inability to keep the entrance, in this case the only entrance and the only emergency exit, of a busy tower block clean and safe speaks volumes.
      […]
Not for the first time we must ask how safe is Lancaster West, can staff be trusted to ensure it is safe, and what hidden fire risks might be lurking in Grenfell Tower or elsewhere on the estate?

      This really isn’t good enough!

ISIS Has a New Weapon: Fire

The new ISIS terror weapon is fire.

“This is a quick option for anyone intending to join the just terror campaign,” says the latest issue of the ISIS magazine Rumiyah.

This tactic requires neither guns such as were used in San Bernadino and Orlando nor vehicles such as were used in other attacks.

“With some simple and readily accessible materials (i.e. flammables), one can easily terrorize an entire nation,” the magazine advises.

Issue #5 of Rumiyah has flames on the cover and a “Just Terror Tactics” section that has in the past called for mass shootings and the use of vehicles to mow down pedestrians. A lengthy article begins with a tribute to the “brothers” inspired by a previous issue of Rumiyah to employ vehicles at Ohio State and in Berlin. It then proceeds to detail an added method to murder innocents.

    “ARSON ATTACKS,” the headline reads.

    • Well, you don’t have to look futher than 9/11 to understand how terrorists can use societies own infrastructure ,etc against itself.

    • It is a truly terrifying thought but the Grenfell Action Group firmly believe that only a catastrophic event will expose the ineptitude and incompetence of our landlord, the KCTMO, and bring an end to the dangerous living conditions and neglect of health and safety legislation that they inflict upon their tenants and leaseholders. We believe that the KCTMO are an evil, unprincipled, mini-mafia who have no business to be charged with the responsibility of looking after the every day management of large scale social housing estates and that their sordid collusion with the RBKC Council is a recipe for a future major disaster.

  3. Now it’s getting interesting. London authorities have issued a statement the cause of the fire was a faulty fridge. Yeah right. Barely 12 hours after the fire started they already know what caused it.
The building is still a pile of smouldering cinders, firemen are hesitant to go in there let alone forensic experts but they already have all the answers. It’s the usual cover-up mechanism at work here.
They come up with a more or less plausable story about a fridge in the hope the public won’t be asking embarassing questions like why this building was allowed, by them, to be a fire hazard for so many years. They toss the public a bone in the hope the public won’t go for the jugular.
    Their jugular.

    • Actually the witness said he was told by a neighbor that his refrigerator “exploded”. I have worked as a refrigeration technician for ten years and can tell you that this type of equipment does not explode. I hope the police track down this witness as I suspect his neighbor was doing something dangerous. Perhaps he was crafting a bomb…or mixing chemicals of even cooking on a hibachi.

      • I have read where compressors have failed and the refrigerant Pentane have caused fires.I was looking at some of the properties and it is often used because of its relative safety but is also flammable and explosive. We will just have to await the results of any investigation. We can do without a new conspiracy theory.
