  1. Important New Terminology – 04-01-2017

Another installation of: Notes from NorseRadish

With a delicious tang of near-metallic irony, I bring you a valuable modern meme.

Just as with routinely using “Propaganda Media” (hat tip: Richard) to correctly describe the MSM’s role in actively proliferating misinformation and disinformation contained in key Liberal talking points—only today did I encounter a truly concise meme that sharply defines the entire “willkommenskultur” (German for: “welcoming culture”) trait that recently has tended to dominate almost all of Western Europe.

While rather convenient, attributing Europe’s suicidal embrace of overtly hostile, invasive cultures to the growing phenomenon of “virtue signaling” is a grave error. Such widespread and voluntary defeat of thoroughly embedded survival impulses cannot be explained away by otherwise relatively modern sociopolitical traditions.

Some deeper and more primitive impulse is required in order to account for this profound disregard regarding individual and social well-being. At this point it is worthwhile to explore the notion of otherness, as “a cumulative, constituting factor in the self-image of a person”. An early and vital form of this factor manifested as taboos against incest. Mating outside of one’s own tribe or clan specifically avoided the genetic problems of inbreeding.

As civilization progressed and emerging degrees of affluence arose, increased resources began to permit various forms of cooperative behavior. At a minimum, many creeds stressed this as part of the Social Contract. As religions became more powerful, they also began to emphasize altruism. Since that older time, Western cultures increasingly have abandoned religion yet, little has been done to ensure that rationality or reason is put in place to maintain individual and group coherence.

Few better examples of this exist than the highly erratic and illogical intellectual superstructure of Liberal Socialists. Postmodern Liberalism’s vacated religious and philosophical slate has imbued its adherents with an almost frantic urgency to find some alternative lodestone with which they might realign their wandering moral compasses. Compounding this is the relentless hammering of Cultural Marxism upon the West’s astonishing ability to create wealth.

This damaging collision has seen many Liberals engage in destructive self-loathing. Their inability to understand why Western civilization continues to be so successful has led them to accept one of Cultural Marxism’s biggest lies, “The Zero Sum Game”. This dictates that Western achievement has only happened at the expense of others. Unconsciously or not, it is a likely driver of the dominant European attitude—especially prevalent among the willkommenskultur types—of, “we have so much and they have so little”.

No one pauses to think about exactly why these new arrivals are in their state of almost epidemic poverty. That would require far more scrutiny than they are willing to direct into those dark corners of human behavior. Nor, it seems, does anyone want to carefully examine why so many of these arriving immigrants are from cultures utterly lacking in ethnic or religious diversity. This has led to the sordid and repeated spectacle of particularly naïve Europeans adamantly insisting that Multiculturalism is perfectly functional in the face of direct evidence that it most certainly is not.

We are now confronted with Europeans—and to a lesser extent, Americans—requiring a modification to their DNA that will eliminate the “out group altruism gene”. Any failure to undergo this alteration will likely prove fatal as those who have no such trait increasingly regard this sort of selflessness as a supreme exhibition of weakness and vulnerability.

And that is today’s Important New Terminology: out group altruism gene.

    • Excellent NR. I do suspect, however, that evolution and genetic mutation act in mysterious ways. Scientific evidence exists to suggest the sudden appearance of mutants who developed to survive an environmental condition catastrophic to the previous animal model. For example, had yesterday’s Paris explosion been tard-lit, the One Group Altruism gene would have been blasted right the fu?k out of the DNA of all present. I’m sure most other victims of tard violence would agree.

      TAA-DAA! Instant genetic upgrade.

      • Please consider reading (as I am right now) the excellent book, “Climbing Mount Improbable”. Author Richard Dawkins makes a very strong case against abrupt (and) functional mutations arising out of immediate, modifying circumstances. While sharp genetic departures do happen (e.g., via gamma ray damage), their likelihood of fulfilling a soon-to-arrive and much-needed evolutionary niche is vanishingly small.

With that said, people who congregate at heavily Multicultural events most certainly up their chances of being “de-selected” by asocial or terrorist types. Much in the way with how disingenuous White American Liberals (or their SJW spawn) very rarely move into nearby ghettos, these willkommenskultur types don’t demonstrate much, if any, determination to “diversify” European no-go zones by relocating into those otherwise perfectly delightful districts.

None of which prevents these virtue signalling altruists from stridently insisting that segregated ethnic enclaves (i.e., no-go zones) “enrich” the lives of all involved (even as they warily keep their distance). I’ll leave that observation hanging in order to avoid having this comment dissolve into a full blown rant.

A central problem being that the off-chance mingling they might have with their pet enrichers happens so infrequently that much-needed shock chlorination of the out group altruism gene pool becomes an agonizingly glacial process. Most certainly, it is one whose finish line is so far down the evolutionary road that civilized society can neither afford the patience nor the human capital necessary to feed this Social Engineering meat-grinder in an (otherwise futile) attempt to peaceably reach the wire.

Put a bit more simply: The relative affluence of Europe’s Socialist Liberals (and their political elite) effectively insulates them from a majority of the negative consequences devolve out of their delusional policy-making. As in, far too few Maria Ladenburgers and way too many Rotherhams. This insular effect delays these retributive outcomes to such an extent whereby waiting for those chickens to come back home and roost means almost certain death for European (and even American) civilization.

As you have probably, long-ago guessed, that is not a chance I’m willing to take.

        • PS: Thank you for your cogent response, Johnnyu. It is sincerely appreciated.

          • I’m saving you till tomorrow, Norse, when I’m fresh and sassy-
            ~ ~ ~
[No, not you, Sassy – great nickname, lady.]

            • I’m saving you till tomorrow, Norse, when I’m fresh and sassy

              You tease, you!

              Don’t think I don’t enjoy it.

      • Not only out-group altruism, but out-SPECIES altruism.

Environmentalists will weight the marginal value of one specific TOAD greater than that of a human CHILD. (An intact child, that is. The sum worth less than the parts, as the latter can be parceled out to more than one research facility and trend to a multiplier value.)

==>To take altruism to an even more baffling extreme: Within Sierra Club ranks there’s dissension between those who would assign a higher value to FLORA than to FAUNA. Tree-huggers debate spider-mite apologists. The Jainist cosmology.

You’re absolutely nail-head-hammer in identifying the fatal flaw in the Euro-sapiens’ willkommenskultur: far too few Maria Ladenburgers and way too many Rotherhams.

And for that reason we can be confident that this will end in tears. Has done already in Sweden, R.I.P.

But Johnny’s observation gives us reason for hope: The out-group altruism gene is highly perishable. Close encounters with Tardish mayhem “[blast] right the fu?k out of the DNA of all present.”

Not fool-proof, unfortunately, as even immediate family of the maladapted show no signs of healthy autoimmune response.

Islam is a wildly opportunistic affliction. One can survive as Homo by compromising the Sapiens: Convert and you may retain a toe and a pulse. But your gene pool is terminal; at best you reproduce zombies. You’ve gone extinct.
        ……
        _tang of near-metallic irony_ !(^o^)!
        ……

        • Not only out-group altruism, but out-SPECIES altruism.

Great point, yucki!. PETA and their similarly unhinged equivalents who seek Constitutional rights for chimpanzees epitomize your rightful objections.

Within Sierra Club ranks there’s dissension between those who would assign a higher value to FLORA than to FAUNA. Tree-huggers debate spider-mite apologists. The Jainist cosmology.

Effing priceless! Why am I not amazed (despite being on the verge of hysterical laughter)? Please know that when the Sierra Club was confronted with how their support for illegal aliens implicitly meant that millions of newly-arrived people in the First World would only serve to increase (through their added consumerism and energy consumption) environmental harm, they refused to back down from advocacy of mass immigration.

You’re absolutely nail-head-hammer in identifying the fatal flaw in the Euro-sapiens’ willkommenskultur: far too few Maria Ladenburgers and way too many Rotherhams.”

Thank you so very much. Your “praise from the praiseworthy” means more than I can say (or type). All by itself, this skewing should be a sufficient imbalance to convince most thinking people. Regrettably, it is not and that bodes particularly ill for Western Civilization.

And for that reason we can be confident that this will end in tears.

Most disgustingly of all (and in opposition as to your own objections about my “death camp” predictions), within less than a mere one or two decades, Islam will have backed spineless Western “leadership” into a self-made corner of nuclear annihilation.

This utterly revolting prospect is only reinforced when one considers how Russia and China (both nuclear armed) will exhibit far less compunction when it comes to obliterating the Islamic threat.

The out-group altruism gene is highly perishable.

Again, please consider reading, “Climbing Mount Improbable”. The “shelf life” of well-established DNA is far longer than anything we can hope to see with respect to meaningful change in this age of nuclear weapons. Just a mere two centuries ago, this question’s answer would be entirely different. Today, it is not.

Not fool-proof, unfortunately, as even immediate family of the maladapted show no signs of healthy autoimmune response.

Precisely. Would that I had some sort of more optimistic reply. But there just isn’t.

Bless you for this detailed reply, yucki. It is an immense pleasure to gain a better understanding of your own philosophical “terrain map”.

          • We might expect a considerably different future if others respond like our friends in eastern Europe.

My Russian neighbors here are white-hot after the bombings today in St. Petersberg. Sure, there’ll be candles and teddy-bears, but there will also be lots of stomped-on Tards. Forget about Islamophobia hotlines.

The harder Uncle Vlad hits, the more support he’ll get. He does not mess around: Grozny.

Leaders in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and elsewhere may be more constrained, but they’re not pushovers. Nor are their people. They’ve saved Europe’s bacon – indelicate expression, perhaps – in the past, they may well do it again.

  2. 20 devotees tortured to death by Sargodha shrine custodian (tribune, Apr 2, 2017)
    https://tribune.com.pk/story/1372082/20-devotees-tortured-death-sargodha-shrine-custodian/

“Twenty people were murdered and four others wounded at a Sufi shrine in Sargodha early Sunday by men wielding batons and knives, police said.

Four women were among those killed at the Shrine of Mohammad Ali in Punjab province, according to police, who said they had arrested three suspects including the shrine’s custodian.

“The 50-year-old shrine custodian Abdul Waheed has confessed that he killed these people because he feared that they had come to kill him,” regional police chief Zulfiqar Hameed said…”

    • PAKISTAN – Arrests after 20 people killed at Sargodha shrine

Three people, including custodian, arrested after bloodbath at shrine outside city of Sargodha in Punjab province.

Lahore, Pakistan – The custodian of a shrine and two others have been arrested after murdering 20 devotees in Pakistan’s Punjab province, police said.

Abdul Waheed, custodian of the Ali Muhammad Gujjar shrine, drugged the devotees before beating them with sticks and stabbing them to death late on Saturday, local police officer Shaukat Manzoor told Al Jazeera.

He then handed himself over to authorities, the official added.

The incident occurred in the small village of Chak 95, just outside the city of Sarghoda located about 160km west of Lahore.

“He drugged everyone who was at the shrine,” Manzoor said, adding that Waheed appeared to suffer from mental instability.

Initial reports indicated there were no survivors from the attack but local police officials later said at least two people are being treated at a local hospital.

“The wounded appear to be out of immediate danger,” Manzoor added.

Pervaiz Haider, a doctor at a Sargodha hospital, said most of the dead were hit in the back of the neck.

“There are bruises and wounds inflicted by a club and dagger on the bodies of victims,” he told Reuters news agency.

Chief of the local police station Shamsher Khan said Waheed was found sitting outside the shrine when authorities reached the location.

“He had a dagger dripping with blood on him,” said Khan. “He told us not to come near him otherwise he will attack us … But we managed to arrest him and the two other men who were sitting outside the shrine with him.

“The whole shrine was filled with bodies. There were 20 dead bodies, including three women and 17 men.”

Two other men, Zafar Ali and Sanaullah, believed to be Waheed’s accomplices, were arrested from the scene, Khan said.

  3. Pentagon seeks to ‘surprise’ ISIS with unannounced troops deployments in Iraq & Syria (RT, Apr 2, 2017)
    https://www.rt.com/usa/383111-us-troops-deployment-isis-surprise/

“The Pentagon wants Islamic State terrorists to be pleasantly surprised by US troop deployments in Iraq and Syria, with Washington apparently adopting a new policy of limiting soldier movement disclosures and resorting to unannounced “temporary” missions.

“In order to maintain tactical surprise, ensure operational security and force protection, the coalition will not routinely announce or confirm information about the capabilities, force numbers, locations, or movement of forces in or out of Iraq and Syria,” Eric Pahon, a Pentagon spokesman, told the Los Angeles Times this week…”

    • Shoot through the “human shields”. Period.

Cruel? Yes. Will it discourage taking more “human shields”? More than likely.

Only when ISIS = “Scorched Earth”, will there be any meaningful change.

Imagine the countless MILLIONS of dollars in lost future tourist revenue that happened because these cretins were allowed to demolish the Palmyra ruins.

Money-oriented as that may sound, those countless millions of dollars could have provided income to thousands of families well into the long-term future.

How many civilians will our opposing forces allow to be butchered whilst we sit with thumbs up our arses, wringing our hands, and quailing about “needless loss of human life”, even as more innocents die?

Kill all of these ISIS shytes now and prevent each of them from murdering DOZENS more innocent civilians in the future.

      • After Korea the leftist controlled media started indoctrinating the public that all civilian causalities are a war crime and that no matter how unprecedentedly low all American causalities are caused by incompetent leaders. These memes were started to cause the west to lose wars and have worked up until now, now the enemy is inside our nations and attacking our civilians and the people are waking up to how evil the left is for allowing this to happen and how evil they are for not protecting the citizens of western nations.

        • They’re not on our side. They crossed over long ago. Got all kinds of goodies along the way.

Ted Turner and Hanoi Jane. Now CNN does the Deep State; the WaPo’s gone CIA-amok, doing a double on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Baby-parts traffickers control the judiciary of the State of California, while really secret police are watching you, me, and our duly elected POTUS.

Anarchist thugs coordinate mayhem in cities that were once the pride of the Free World, while hardcore communists scream, “Russia, Russia!”

Feels like I’m watching the movie backwards.

          • Feels like I’m watching the movie backwards.

Too bad the movie isn’t, “1984” or “Atlas Shrugged”.

PS: If you haven’t seen the recent production of, “Atlas Shrugged”, please do so at your earliest convenience. Although I’ve only seen two out of the three parts, they seem to have done an excellent job of capturing Rand’s most astonishingly predictive novel.

            • I haven’t seen or read “Atlas Shrugged” in any version. But I know about Ayn Rand.

Then again I’m so backward I haven’t gotten to Tolkien yet. Vast gaps in my education – and too much is happening now, I’ll never catch up.

    • surrounded by Iraqi government forces

Oh, I’m sure ISIS (with all their millions of dollars worth of captured Iraqi armor) have gotten a severe case of the tummywobbles from learning that.

  4. New security measures for Disney’s Magic Kingdom start Monday

Visitors to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom will go through metal detectors and get bags checked at the Transportation and Ticket Center starting Monday.

The center, commonly known as the TTC, is a major hub for Magic Kingdom visitors. People driving to the Magic Kingdom park at TTC, then board monorails or ferries to cross Seven Seas Lagoon and reach the attraction. Currently, visitors can board the monorails and ferryboats without going through bag checks or metal detectors.

Guests arriving at Magic Kingdom via the monorail or ferry won’t have to go through security once they get to the theme park itself. However, the Magic Kingdom will still have some bag checks and metal detectors for visitors arriving by other transportation, such as buses.

Also beginning April 3, guests staying at Disney’s Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts will begin going through security at the resorts’ monorail stations.

All three of the major theme park resorts in Orlando installed metal detectors at their entrances in December 2015.

  5. As French election race tightens, Macron defies National Front

MARSEILLE/BIGUGLIA, France (Reuters) – France’s centrist presidential contender Emmanuel Macron singled out the far-right National Front as his chief rival on Saturday, vowing to win the first round on April 23 as a new poll showed the election race getting tighter.

“The National Front, our main opponent, is attacking us on all sides. Never boo them. Fight them,” a defiant Macron told a rally in the southern city of Marseille.

“I want us to kick far from this campaign and from the country the party of hatred and contempt and all those who make us so ashamed. We are going to be ahead in the first round and we’re going to beat them,” he said.

The presidential race is even closer than it was a week ago, an opinion poll indicated on Saturday.

First-round voting intentions for the frontrunners, Macron and National Front leader Marine Le Pen, showed both slipping one percentage point to 25 percent and 24 percent respectively.

Third-placed conservative Francois Fillon gained two points to 19 percent, while the far left’s Jean-Luc Melenchon climbed one point to 15 percent, according to the survey by the BVA polling institute conducted on March 29-30.

  6. Turmoil Deepens in Latin America as Paraguay’s Congress Smolders
Andres R. Martinez and Jonathan Roeder

Paraguay’s President Horacio Cartes proudly watched Friday morning as children handed out gifts to visiting central bankers and finance officials in Asuncion, a rare moment in the spotlight for one of South America’s smallest nations.

Twelve hours later, Paraguay was still attracting attention, but for the wrong reasons as violent protests followed the senate’s unexpected approval of a bill allowing Cartes to stand for re-election. One person died as demonstrators stormed the congress building in the nation’s capital, and set it ablaze.

  7. Two bombshell things we learned about the Trump surveillance on Friday

I definitely took the long way around the barn Friday night, analyzing my way to the conclusion that even after the New York Times named names, regarding who Devin Nunes ?
    39%
talked to in the White House, we still didn’t know who Nunes’s original source actually was.

Fox News did it the more direct, shall we say kinetic way. They got to the same answer by interviewing sources of their own – or, more precisely, of reporter Adam Housley’s. (See video below.)

Housley’s sources were adamant. The people named in the NYT story on 30 March – Ezra Cohen-Watnick and Michael Ellis – were not Nunes’s sources. (So score one for analysis.) They’re merely White House officials Nunes coordinated with on this issue.

According to Housley, his own sources are people in “the agencies,” who are upset over how the national intelligence apparatus was being misused against Americans during the campaign last year.

    • (Short takes from the rest of the article)

Other interesting potential clues have been coming out in the last couple of weeks, of course. One is a clue that has gotten little play so far, but would be particularly dispositive if validated. Adam Kredo reported it over a week ago: DOJ found malware on servers for Trump Tower that “mimicked” contact with Russian servers or addresses. In other words, as Kredo put it, some of the supposed findings about traffic between Trump Tower servers and Russian servers were “stooged,” or planted

Another clue: the IT security company CrowdStrike, which has been the flagship of a single-ship formation in flogging the “Russians hacked the DNC” analysis, had to retract its claim about that this past week. In fact, CrowdStrike was scheduled to testify in Congress on Tuesday, 28 March, but for an unannounced reason didn’t show. The no-show was followed by the disclosure that the company had bolstered its much-disputed findings about Russian state involvement with an IT-intrusion example from Ukraine that turned out to be bogus

(Richard: This story is far from over and it has the potential of forcing massive changes on the US Government, changes that will work for a while and then the left and other power hungry people will figure how to game the system to create a new mess like the current one. Liberty requires constant vigilance, we can’t be complacent and remain free, freedom isn’t free and part of the price is ensuring that you know what your government is doing.)

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/bangladesh-high-court-upholds-death-blogger-killing-46522708

“Bangladesh’s High Court on Sunday confirmed the death penalty for two people tied to a banned Islamist militant group for the killing of an atheist blogger critical of radical Islam.

The court also upheld jail sentences for six others after appeals were filed challenging the verdicts handed down by a trial court in 2015.

Sunday’s decision involves the killing of Ahmed Rajib Haider, who was hacked to death in 2013. Haider had campaigned for banning the Jamaat-e-Islami party, which opposed Bangladesh’s independence from Pakistan in 1971.

One of the defendants was Mufti Jasimuddin Rahmani, the leader of the Ansarullah Bangla Team, and the rest were university students inspired by his sermons.

During the trial, the students said that Rahmani incited them to kill Haider in sermons in which he said all atheist bloggers should be killed to protect Islam…”

    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/suicide-bombers-die-outskirts-maiduguri-nigeria-46523211

“Nigerian police confirm that three suicide bombers blew themselves up attempting to get into the northeastern city of Maiduguri.

Police spokesman Victor Isuku said that on Sunday morning two men detonated explosive vests when security agents challenged them near an entry to Maiduguri, the northeastern city that has sustained several attacks. He said the bombers killed only themselves.

Isuku said a lone bomber at a different location also blew himself up, injuring a civilian.

Dozens have died recently in such attacks blamed on Boko Haram Islamic extremists, but many other bombers have been stopped by soldiers and civilian self-defense militia.

Boko Haram has maintained a campaign of suicide bombings since a multinational army forced the extremists out of urban centers.

Some 20,000 people have died in Nigeria’s 7-year Islamic uprising.”

“A respected Russian newspaper says it has uncovered information that police in the southern Russian republic of Chechnya have rounded up more than 100 men suspected of homosexuality and that at least three have been killed.

The Saturday report in Novaya Gazeta said it had confirmed the information with sources in the Chechen police and government, but gave no details.

The report was denied by Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov’s spokesman, who suggested there are no homosexuals in the Muslim-majority region. Ali Karimov said, according to the state news agency RIA Novosti, “it’s impossible to persecute those who are not in the republic.”

The Kremlin-backed Kadyrov is widely accused of extensive human rights violations. He has brought Islam to the fore of Chechnya’s daily life, including opening what is called Europe’s biggest mosque.”

    http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/786793/abu-hamza-hate-preacher-son-stripped-of-passport

“THE youngest son of notorious hate preacher Abu Hamza claims he has been stripped of his British passport after going off to fight in Syria.

Sufiyan Mustafa, 22, said he had been left stateless and stranded in a war zone following the move by the Home Office.

His father is the hook-handed Egyptian-born imam, 59, who gained notoriety for holding Friday prayers outside Finsbury Park mosque in London.

He is currently serving life for terror offences in a US prison.

His London-born son pleaded in Arabic newspaper al-Quds to be allowed to return to Britain.

He left in 2013 and denies being a terrorist and fighting with ISIS or al-Qaeda.

Mustafa, who insisted he was fighting with a moderate group, said he was “surprised” at his passport being revoked.

He added: “Britain is the place where I was born and lived.

“I have never been a threat to national security in Britain and will not commit aggression on its population because our religion does not allow attacks on unarmed innocents.”

There are 400 British jihadists in Syria and Iraq. The Home Office would not comment.”

  13. Londonistan: 423 New Mosques; 500 Closed Churches

    by Giulio Meotti
    April 2, 2017 at 5:30 am

    https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10124/london-mosques-churches

“London is more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together”, according to Maulana Syed Raza Rizvi, one of the Islamic preachers who now lead “Londonistan”, as the journalist Melanie Phillips has called the English capital. No, Rizvi is not a right-wing extremist. Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate for Literature, was less generous; he called the UK “a cesspit for Islamists”.

“Terrorists can not stand London multiculturalism”, London’s mayor Sadiq Khan said after the recent deadly terror attack at Westminster. The opposite is true: British multiculturalists are feeding Islamic fundamentalism. Above all, Londonistan, with its new 423 mosques, is built on the sad ruins of English Christianity.

The Hyatt United Church was bought by the Egyptian community to be converted to a mosque. St Peter’s Church has been converted into the Madina Mosque. The Brick Lane Mosque was built on a former Methodist church. Not only buildings are converted, but also people. The number of converts to Islam has doubled; often they embrace radical Islam, as with Khalid Masood, the terrorist who struck Westminster.

The Daily Mail published photographs of a church and a mosque a few meters from each other in the heart of London. At the Church of San Giorgio, designed to accommodate 1,230 worshipers, only 12 people gathered to celebrate Mass. At the Church of Santa Maria, there were 20.

The nearby Brune Street Estate mosque has a different problem: overcrowding. Its small room and can contain only 100. On Friday, the faithful must pour into the street to pray. Given the current trends, Christianity in England is becoming a relic, while Islam will be the religion of the future.

  14. The Muslim Brotherhood Swoops into Sweden

A recent report has revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) is well established in Sweden. The report — written at the behest of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and commissioned precisely because of a lack of research on the MB in Sweden — caused an outcry against the authors. Twenty Swedish academics, who specialize in Islam and Muslims, protested the report[1]. They called it “substandard work”, which did not take account of “the extensive research available about Islam and Muslims in Sweden”.

According to the report, the MB has been operating in Sweden since the late 1970s in the guise of a number of Muslim-Swedish organizations, all centered around the Islamic Association in Sweden (IFIS), which itself was established in the mid-1990s as an organizational front for the MB.

IFIS has founded other organizations in Sweden, among which are Islamic Relief, Ibn Rush, and Sweden Young Muslims (SUM). These have not only given the MB a dominant position within so-called ‘Muslim civil society’ in Sweden, but also enabled it to amass considerable Swedish taxpayer funds that have helped consolidate its position.

The authors of the report conclude that the MB’s activists are “building a parallel social structure, which poses a long-term challenge in terms of Sweden’s future social cohesion”. The authors are being most diplomatic.

  15. Grandfather of teen killed during home break-in: Grandson didn’t have a chance against AR-15
By Howard Portnoy April 1, 2017

It’s a familiar story: The family of teens shot and killed during a home break-in blame the armed homeowner. The latest news item fitting this pattern has a unique twist: The resident who acted in self-defense was armed with an AR-15, which prompted the grieving grandfather of one of the dead adolescents to lament that his grandson “didn’t have a chance” against that level of firepower.

    Tulsa ABC affiliate KTUL reports:

    http://libertyunyielding.com/2017/04/01/grandfather-of-teen-killed-during-home-break-in-grandson-didnt-have-a-chance-against-ar-15/

(Richard: At first glance this seems a clear cut case of extra judicial punishment, this is at first glance. Now stop and think if you are pointing a gun at some home invaders and they continue to charge you (either at a run or slowly) what are their actions saying? To me they are saying that they think they can take the gun away from you and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. The home owner was justified in taking them at their word and using the gun to stop them.)

    • The resident who acted in self-defense was armed with an AR-15, which prompted the grieving grandfather of one of the dead adolescents to lament that his grandson “didn’t have a chance” against that level of firepower.

Isn’t that the whole point when it’s three against one? If the resident hadn’t been armed, what sort of “chance” would he have had? What exactly was the little B&E thug doing there in the first place? Anyone want to bet against the coroner’s toxicology report indicating use of methamphetamine or some other addictive drug?

      [crickets]

      • If the grandfather cared so much about his grandson perhaps he should have been instrumental in prevented him from becoming a criminal?

If he wasn´t trying to break-in and rob someone he wouldn´t have been shot.

Protesters stormed and set fire to Paraguay’s Congress on Friday after the Senate secretly voted for a constitutional amendment that would allow President Horacio Cartes to run for re-election.

The country’s constitution has prohibited re-election since it was passed in 1992 after a brutal dictatorship fell in 1989.

“A coup has been carried out. We will resist and we invite the people to resist with us,” said Senator Desiree Masi from the opposition Progressive Democratic Party.

Two weeks ago, on a humid Thursday morning, she bundled her eight-month-old baby in the pram and walked with her four-year-old son the short distance to the community centre.

When she arrived, her red-haired son raced off to play while she looked around for her friend.

That was when a staff member approached and asked if it was her first day. Coverdale thought how nice that she was so attentive.

“I’m sorry you can’t come here. It’s a multicultural playgroup.”

But then the woman said: “Can I ask what your cultural background is?”

Taken aback, Coverdale, who has blonde hair and freckles, said: “I’m Australian”.

Immediately, the woman said: “I’m sorry, you can’t come here. It’s for multicultural families and people who speak languages other than English at home.”

The government has decided to declare Quran education compulsory in all public and private schools and a law in this regard would be enacted very soon by the parliament, said State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Mohammad Baligh-ur-Rehman.

Addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony at Jamia Salfia Hajiabad on Saturday, he said that the federal government had already sanctioned Quran education compulsory, and it believed that all federating units would support the bill, which would be moved soon in the parliament.

He said the Quran reading would be compulsory from class one to six, and from class 7 to intermediate, the holy book education with its translation would be mandatory.

Corrina Mehiel constantly complained about white privilege, but that’s not what killed her in the end. Mehiel was tortured and killed for absolutely no reason at all, by an African-American man. El Hadji Alpha Madiou Toure, 28, was arrested Monday night. He was charged with first-degree murder while armed and theft one.

Ironically, Mehiel’s “White Privilege” art is what would lead to her death. Mehiel was visiting George Washington University in Washington DC. Mehiel was part of a project that tries to draw attention to one feature of white privilege or another. This time Mehiel’s project involved lead paint in old houses occupied predominantly by black people.

  24. HUNGARY – BLOOMBERG – Hungarians Take to the Street as Soros’s University Targeted

Demonstrators protest for academic freedom in Budapest
Premier Orban has pledged to eradicate liberal democracy

Hungarians took to the streets to protest for academic freedom and against government legislation that a university funded by George Soros said is aimed at shutting it down.

Thousands of Hungarians participated in the march on Sunday, Index news website reported. The demonstration was going to wind its way through Budapest, passing by the capital’s main universities, including local ones as well as Central European University, which was established and is funded by Soros, a billionaire financier and native of Hungary.

The demonstration was part of burgeoning opposition against a bill proposed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government last week, which would tighten regulations on foreign universities. CEU has said the bill was “targeted, discriminatory and punitive” and aimed at driving it out of the country, a charge the government has denied. Orban, a frequent critic of Soros and his focus on funding organizations promoting human rights and government transparency, has pledged to eradicate liberal democracy in the European Union member state.

The U.S. urges Hungary to “avoid taking any legislative action that would compromise CEU’s operations or independence,” State Department acting spokesperson Mark Toner said in a March 31 statement. CEU, in an email Sunday, said 17 Nobel laureates were among thousands that have signed petitions pledging their support for the institution, which Soros established in 1991 to train a new generation of leaders committed to democracy following the fall of the Iron Curtain.

Hungary’s parliament, where Orban’s lawmakers have a commanding majority, is scheduled to start debating the education bill on Wednesday, according to an agenda posted on the legislature’s website.

    • reuters – Thousands rally in Hungary in support of Soros-founded university

Thousands of Hungarian and foreign students, professors and civilians rallied in Budapest on Sunday demanding the government withdraw legislation that could force a university founded by financier George Soros out of the country.

The demonstrators, who walked from Budapest’s Corvinus University to the Central European University (CEU) founded by Soros in 1991 and then to parliament, said the bill was an attack on freedom of education.

Parliament is due to discuss the bill this coming week.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban, an outspoken critic of liberal civil organizations funded by Soros, said on Friday that the CEU had violated regulations in awarding its diplomas, an allegation that the college had firmly rejected as false. The CEU said it operated lawfully and was accredited to award Hungarian and U.S. degrees.

A year before 2018 elections, Orban has raised the stakes in his fight against civil organizations funded by U.S. financier and philanthropist Soros.

“We came as I believe (Orban’s) Fidesz party is building an autocracy and we want to demonstrate in support of free education as if it is CEU now, it could be Corvinus next,” said Milan Holper, 20, a student at Corvinus University.

“It is a joint attack against the autonomy of universities and free education,” the organizers of the protest said in a statement.

Earlier this week, the government submitted a bill to parliament to regulate foreign universities setting several new requirements, which could force the CEU out of the country.

Under the bill, foreign universities must have a campus in Budapest and in their home country. CEU, which only operates in the capital, is the only international college with no arm elsewhere. CEU has said the bill threatened academic freedom.

Hungarian scholars and teaching organizations, as well as more than 500 leading international academics, including 17 Nobel Laureates have come out in support of CEU, saying it was one of the preeminent centers of thought in the country.

The U.S. State Department said in a statement on Friday that CEU was a “premier academic institution” that promoted academic excellence and critical thinking, and urged the government “to avoid taking any legislative action that would compromise CEU’s operations or independence.”

  25. Small Town Attack: ‘African, Arab’ Men Use Stolen Tools to Terrorise Locals (breitbart, Apr 2, 2017)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/04/02/migrants-steal-tools-use-attack-locals/

“Police in the small German town of Bad Sobernheim have reported a group of men described as being “African or Arabic origin” who broke into a construction site, stole tools, and used them to attack locals.

The attack, which was reported to have taken place over the weekend of the 25th of March saw a gang of migrants roam around the small town which has a population of only six and a half thousand and attack passers-by.

Police say that the men had broken into a construction site in the town earlier that evening, stealing various tools which they used to torment the people in the town according to a press release from the force.

Witnesses to the rampage said the gang numbered between five to seven people who attacked three individuals at around midnight on Sunday morning. Police say that the men were armed with various “striking tools” though did not specify what exact tools they used to attack the residents.

The victims of the attack were able to run into a nearby restaurant where they hid from the gang. Shortly afterwards the migrants fled the area, but not before damaging a street sign.

Those attacked all described the gang as “persons of African or Arabic origin” police said. Only one person was injured in the attack and authorities have yet to determine a motive.

None of the males who participated in the incident have been caught or arrested by police so far and authorities have reached out to the public to help them identify those responsible for the violence…”

  26. Erdo?an: EU is ‘Crusader Alliance’ lying to us (hurriyetdailynews, Apr 2, 2017)
    http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/erdogan-eu-is-crusader-alliance-lying-to-us.aspx?pageID=238&nID=111524&NewsCatID=338

“A meeting last week between EU leaders and Pope Francis in the Vatican is evidence that Europe’s most important union is a “Crusader Alliance” and was consequently avoiding admitting Turkey as a full member, Turkey’s president has said, declaring that the upcoming referendum on charter changes will also stand as a vote on Ankara’s ties with Brussels.

“All the leaders of the EU countries went to the Vatican and listened to the pope submissively. Do you now understand why they have not been taking Turkey into the EU for 54 years? The situation is quite loud and clear, it is a Crusader Alliance. April 16 will also be the day to evaluate this,” President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said at a rally in Ankara on April 2.

Erdo?an referred to a meeting between Francis and the leaders of all EU countries on March 24, a day before a special summit marking the 60th anniversary of the bloc’s founding treaty. Francis addressed EU leaders and delivered messages on the future of the union.

“I turned out to be right on what I have been saying [about the EU],” Erdo?an said. “They have been lying to us in a row for 14 years. And they keep on lying.”

Turkey will go to a referendum on April 16 to decide on an 18-article constitutional amendment package that will overhaul the entire governance system into an executive presidency model that abolishes the office of the prime minister.

A tension between Turkey and a number of European countries was sparked after some Turkish ministers’ attempts to stage rallies with the Turkish community in European countries was blocked. The row between the two sides was further fueled by a report issued by the Venice Commission suggesting that the proposed system will further weaken democratic order in Turkey.

Frequently giving references from Quranic verses, Erdo?an was often interrupted by chants from the public.

“You are saying ‘Europe, Europe hear our voices’ quite often. I am saying, ‘Come and see Ankara,” Erdo?an said, decrying opposition to the constitutional amendment.

“You cannot fool my nation by conducting ‘no’ campaigns on the corners of coffeeshops. With God’s will, are you ready to give the necessary answer to the European leaders, except some?” he addressed to the public.

Stating that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) had been planning a shift to a presidential system prior to the 2014 presidential elections, Erdo?an argued that the plans were interrupted by “attacks.”

“We have faced such attacks since 2013 that we could not even make the agenda. With the Gezi Protests and Dec. 17 and 25 police-justice coup [both in 2013], and then the subsequent elections,” he said.

‘Yes’ and ‘no’ voters both respectful

Erdo?an also took umbrage with the main opposition Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) criticism that the campaign rhetoric of the ruling party has consistently equated naysayers with terrorists.

“Why are you lying, K?l?çdaro?lu?” Erdo?an said, addressing the leader of the CHP, Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu.

“Our nation’s will is the most respected place for us. Naysayers are as respected as yeasayers,” he said.

Despite the CHP’s denial on the subject, Erdo?an once more suggested that if the “no” side prevails in the upcoming referendum, the opposition will question the legitimacy of the presidential post.

“You should not take the words of the main opposition which states that nothing will change in the event of the victory of the ‘no’ votes into account. They are also lying about that,” he said.

“Remember what they had said after the June 7 [2015] elections. They said that they prevented a civil coup.

They said that the legitimacy of the presidential post has become questionable. They barked for instability,” he said.”

  27. Egypt court upholds ‘terror group’ designation for leading Muslim Brotherhood figures (ahram, Apr 2, 2017)
    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/262100/Egypt/Politics-/Egypt-court-upholds-terror-group-designation-for-l.aspx

“Egypt’s Court of Cassation rejected on Sunday an appeal by 18 Muslim Brotherhood members against an order placing them on an official list of “terrorist organizations.”

The appeal was filed by several leading figures in the now-banned Islamist group, including its supreme guide Mohamed Badie, along with Mohamed Mahdi Akef, Saad El-Katatny, Khairat El-Shater, Mohamed El-Beltagy, Essam El-Erian, Mahmoud Ezzat and Hossam Abu Bakr.

They were appealing against an order issued by the country’s general prosecutor following the designation of the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation in December 2013 in the aftermath of deadly attacks on security forces by supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi.

Several of the leaders, including Badie, have had several death sentences issued against them, as well as prison sentences in various cases related to violence.

In one such case, known as the “Mokattam clashes”, relating to a deadly standoff outside the Brotherhood’s headquarters that took place weeks before Morsi’s ouster, the Islamist figures were found guilty of murder, attempted murder and arms possession.

Since 2014, Egypt has been attempting to expand the designation of the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation internationally, particularly in the UK and US.

Egyptian officials are expected to attempt to convince US President Donald Trump and his administration to declare the Brotherhood a terrorist organization during President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to Washington this week.”

  28. Egypt court issues preliminary death sentence against controversial Muslim preacher Wagdy Ghonim (ahram, Apr 2, 2017)
    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/262107/Egypt/Politics-/Egypt-court-issues-preliminary-death-sentence-agai.aspx

“A Cairo criminal court issued a preliminary death sentence on Sunday against controversial Muslim preacher Wagdy Ghonim and two other men after they were convicted of inciting to murder security forces and Christians, Ahram Arabic website reported.

Today’s death sentence ruling against Ghonim and his co-defendants awaits the non-binding consultative opinion of the country’s grand mufti, as per Egypt’s penal code, before it becomes official.

The court sentenced the controversial Salafist preacher in absentia.

Ghonim is believed to be currently residing in Turkey.

The court has set 29 April to issue its final verdict against Ghonim, and announce verdicts against five others in the case.

In 2016, Egypt’s high state security prosecution referred the eight defendants to court on charges of founding an illegal group with the aim of obstructing the law, preventing state institutions from doing their jobs, and attacking the personal freedoms of citizens. The defendants were also charged with inciting to topple the regime and attack Christians and security forces.

Any final death sentence against Ghonim and the two other defendants is subject to appeal.

Ghonim has faced several lawsuits and trials in Egypt since 2012 over statements considered offensive to women and Christians.”
