  1. ‘Legacy’: 10 Ways Barack Obama Broke the American System

Much ink has been spilled, and much bandwidth spent, on describing Donald Trump’s 2016 victory as a populist revolt. Less attention has been paid to what voters were rebelling against.

There were economic grievances — in the Upper Midwest in particular — but the economy as a whole is slowly recovering. (As Alexis de Tocqueville observed, revolutions tend to occur in times of rising expectations.)

But at its core, the revolution of 2016 was an attempt at restoration — at fixing a broken system.

What broke it? Both parties acquiesced in bank liberalization, open-borders immigration, and Wall Street bailouts.

But the most acute challenge was Barack Obama’s direct attack on the constitutional framework itself. Obama sought to transform America, and believed that the ends would justify the means.

  2. Chicago Gun Violence So High It Is Skewing National Murder Figures

The death toll from Chicago gun violence is so high that it is skewing national murder figures, making violence appear more ubiquitous than it actually is.

Breitbart News reported that the death toll in Chicago had already passed 730 for the year by December 6. And the Chicago Tribune reports that the number of murders in Chicago reached 755 by December 21. When these numbers are added to the murder figures of other cities, they raise the overall perception of violence considerably — particularly when it comes to the number of homicides.

According to The Washington Post, the Brennan Center of Justice expects “the homicide rate for the country’s 30 biggest cities… to go up by 14 percent this year.” But that increase does not tell the whole story; namely, that “the killings in Chicago account for an astounding 43.7 percent of this overall increase in [homicides].”

In other words, if year-end numbers do in fact show the anticipated “14 percent” jump in homicides nationally, the deaths in Chicago alone will account for nearly half of that increase.

    • For all pratical purposes Chicago is one huge gun free zone, the honest citizens have no firearms and the crooks have a whole lot and are killing each other at random.

  3. Facebook Relying on Snopes Fact Check Site Run by Accused Embezzler and Prostitute
    December 22, 2016

Oh no! Who will ever save us from the plague of Fake News?

How about these intrepid fact checkers whom Facebook has decided will be allowed to determine whether your link is “truthful” or not.

Now a DailyMail.com investigation reveals that Snopes.com’s founders, former husband and wife David and Barbara Mikkelson, are embroiled in a lengthy and bitter legal dispute in the wake of their divorce.

He has since remarried, to a former escort and porn actress who is one of the site’s staff members.

They are accusing each other of financial impropriety, with Barbara claiming her ex-husband is guilty of ’embezzlement’ and suggesting he is attempting a ‘boondoggle’ to change tax arrangements, while David claims she took millions from their joint accounts and bought property in Las Vegas.

In the filings, Barbara, 57, has accused her former husband, 56, of ‘raiding the corporate business Bardav bank account for his personal use and attorney fees’ without consulting her.

She also claimed he embezzled $98,000 from the company over the course of four years ‘which he expended upon himself and the prostitutes he hired’.

  4. Keith Ellison’s Hamas Ties
He disavows Louis Farrakhan, but is speaking next week for the Hamas-linked Muslim American Society.
    December 22, 2016

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) has called his previous defense of Louis Farrakhan “the mistake in my past,” but those who are ready to proclaim him a “moderate” and anoint him head of the Democratic National Committee should consider carefully the fact that he is the keynote speaker for Muslim American Society (MAS)/ Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) annual convention next week. The ties to Hamas are numerous – not that Hamas ties are likely to give Democrats pause.

The Investigative Project’s John Rossomando noted that “the MAS convention Ellison will address will hear from radical speakers such as Ali Qaradaghi (alternately spelled Al-Qurra Daghi in the MAS-ICNA program), the secretary general of the pro-Hamas International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), which is one of the world’s most influential groups for Sunni Islamist clerics. It counts former Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh as a member.”

Yet Ellison has longstanding ties to MAS: in 2008, he accepted $13,350 from MAS to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca. It isn’t surprising that he would have no trouble sharing the MAS stage next week with Hamas supporters, in light of the fact that he has been caught on newly-released audio of Ellison speaking at a fundraiser for his 2010 Congressional reelection campaign, saying that a vote for him was a vote against Israel’s supposed control of U.S. foreign policy. “The message I want to send to you by donating to this campaign,” he declared, “is positioning me and positioning Muslims in general to help steer the ship of state in America….The United States foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of seven million people. A region of 350 million all turns on a country of seven million. Does that make sense? Is that logic? Right?”

      Richard,

Thank you for your dedicated efforts at this website. I, for one, deeply appreciate your commitment to getting the truth out and, at the same time, also enjoy how you provide such detailed personal analysis (remember, you can’t spell “analysis” without A-N-A-L).

The very notion that Keith Ellison might attain the Democratic National Committee’s chair puts paid to the distinct possibility of Trump’s re-election. Rack up another point for the Law of Unintended Consequences.

Ellison’s previous defense of Louis Farrakhan permanently condemns him. Not only through guilt by association, but also for his lack of objection (at any prior time) to Farrakhan’s flagrant advocacy of White genocide. Much like 0bama’s faint damning of his pastor, Jeremiah “God Damn AmericaWrong Wright, Ellison’s willing association with such a repulsive and genocidal figure as Farrakhan make his potential links to Hamas appropriately suspect. As in, the burden of proof is upon this Koran loving slimebag.

Everyone, please notice how (in the video link) this sack-of-shite’s LEFT (@ss-wiping) hand is placed upon the Koran that he’s being sworn in on. Where were the squalling death fatwan and terrorist tantrums this supremely blasphemous act deserved in all other corners of the Islamic world??? Gah!!!

Islam’s opportunistic and selective outrage must be rammed down its collective throat.

      • You are welcome, I will remember them.

Yes the analysis tells people a lot about me, but I don’t think it says anything shameful.

  5. Christmas Market Terror Refugee Was “Rescued At Sea” After Arab Spring
    December 22, 2016

Next time you see media stories about the “plight” of Muslim migrants at sea in their fragile rafts, remember the kind of horror that “rescuing” them and taking them in leads to. This nightmare would never have come to pass without these horrible “rescues” of Muslim terrorists and future Muslim terrorists.

A senior Italian police source told Reuters that Amri arrived on the island of Lampedusa, probably after being rescued at sea, in February 2011. Amri’s crossing, made shortly after the overthrow of Tunisia’s autocratic president in the first of the “Arab Spring” revolts, followed a route that tens of thousands of other boat migrants have since taken.

Amri was at a shelter on Lampedusa when migrants started a fire, destroying parts of it to protest against being held there. He told authorities he was a minor, though documents now indicate he was not, and he was transferred to the Sicilian city of Catania, where he was enrolled in school.

In October 2011 he was arrested after attempts to set fire to a building, the source said, and later convicted of vandalism, threats and theft.

Amri served his term in at least two different prisons in Sicily, first in Catania and then in Palermo, before being sent in May 2015 to a detention center to await deportation.

  6. German Jew Joins “Far Right” After Muslim Gas Chamber Taunts
    December 22, 2016

Rising anti-Semitism. From all the usual Islamic suspects.

In Monday’s attack, a man described by the Islamic State terrorist group as one if its “soldiers” killed 12 people and wounded 48 by plowing a stolen truck through the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church market. While police hunt for suspects, the attack is likely to further polarize competing views on Muslim immigration in German society in general – especially among Jews who fear they will be among those targeted by Islamists here.

Following the attack, whose perpetrator is presumed to be at large, the top priority is to take on “this army of Muslims from the wildest part of the earth,” said Pavel Feinstein, a member of Berlin’s Jewish community who supports the far-right Alternative for Germany party, whose manifesto from April declares that “Islam is not part of Germany.” AfD, as the party is known, also is accused of being a hotbed for anti-Semites.

Feinstein, 56, told JTA that he came to espouse the AfD view after hearing the slogan “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas” being chanted at an anti-Israel demonstration two years ago in Berlin.

“They weren’t just Islamists, they were also normal Muslims, students and so on,” he recalled. “And no one was charged or punished.

“Up to then I felt at home in Berlin. And now this feeling is gone.”

  7. Targeting Farage
A hate group with an Orwellian name threatens to sue the Brexit hero.
    December 22, 2016

“They go low, we go high.” “Love trumps hate.” The left, as we learned from the recent presidential campaign, is all about love. And hope. And, naturally, fighting hate.

Thus the name of the British organization Hope Not Hate. I’ve written about it before. It describes itself as an anti-fascist monitoring group, and the mainstream media, with few exceptions, routinely echo this self-description. In fact, however, HnH, founded in 2004, is far from what it pretends to be. Think of it as Britain’s answer to the Southern Poverty Law Center: a vicious smear machine masquerading as a virtuous anti-hate group.

It was Hope Not Hate that successfully campaigned to have Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller banned from the U.K. because of their criticism of Islam. It was Hope Not Hate that slandered me and several dozen other critics of Islam in an outrageously mendacious “Counter-Jihad Report” that actually juxtaposed photos of David Horowitz and Geert Wilders with one of Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik (complete with gun). It was Hope Not Hate that spent the run-up to the Brexit vote demonizing UKIP, the anti-EU party, which it routinely treated as racist, xenophobic, and neo-Nazi scum.

  8. Foreign Student Visas: Educating America’s Adversaries
Guess who Obama’s State Department issues hundreds of thousands of student visas to?
    December 22, 2016

It has been said that if you give a man a fish you will feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you will feed him for a lifetime. This simple saying illustrates how important training/education is.

Incredibly, the United States’ immigration policies formulated by the Obama administration welcome hundreds of thousands of Chinese STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) students into our nation’s premier universities while it is clear that China demonstrates hostility to the United States acting not as a partner, but rather as an adversary.

Chinese computer hackers attack computers in the United States as a matter of routine. The obvious question is how many of those Chinese computer hackers may have been trained and educated in the United States.

China’s recent theft of a U.S. Navy drone in the South China Sea underscores this hostility as do the arrest of numerous spies operating on behalf of China to steal America’s military and industrial secrets.

Not surprisingly, China has offered to return the drone while President-Elect Donald Trump has been quoted as saying that China can keep that drone.

    • … give a man a fish you will feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you will feed him for a lifetime.

Bah! Everyone knows that the authentic version of this saying is:

“Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.

Teach a man how to fish and he drinks for a lifetime!”

      Merry Christmas, Richard.

      • I thought it was:

Teach a man to fish and you will never get another days work out of him.

Marry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  9. Fantasy Islam (Kafir Edition)
John Esposito’s fairy tale version of Islam.
    December 22, 2016

Fantasy Islam (Kafir Edition): A game in which an audience of non-Muslims wish with all their hearts that Islam was a “Religion of Peace,” and a Kafir (non-Muslim) strives to fulfill that wish by presenting a version of Islam that has little foundation in Islamic Doctrine.

John Esposito is Professor of Religion and International Affairs and Professor of Islamic Studies at Georgetown University. He is also the Founding Director of the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. He is the author of What Everyone Needs to Know about Islam, a book in its second edition and presented as “the best single source…for answers to basic questions about Islam…”

The reality is that with his well-known book, Esposito played the Kafir Edition of Fantasy Islam. Here are some examples:

70 Virgins waiting in Paradise? – On pp. 143-144 Esposito wrote that there was nothing in the Koran that supported the idea of martyrs being rewarded with 70 virgins in Paradise. He noted that:

The reward of seventy virgins to martyrs is based on a “weak” Prophetic tradition used in medieval times to encourage Muslims to military activities…

Esposito is half right. There is no mention in the Koran of 70 virgins as a reward. However, he is wrong with his numbers and when he ascribes it simply to a “weak” tradition. In reality, Muhammad himself promised martyrs the reward of 72 virgins in paradise, and the following is from one of the six authoritative collections of Muhammad’s teachings (hadiths) compiled in the ninth century:

  10. Child Marriage on the Rise
How Islamic laws are leading to more child marriages.
    December 22, 2016

The rate of child marriage is increasing exponentially in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and even some Muslim communities in the West. The U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child has warned Iran over the rise in child marriages and for allowing sex and execution at age 9.

Leila, 10 years old, thought she was playing a childhood game. A game that involved wearing a white dress and pretending to be a bride. But soon the game became a nightmare.

My mother, whose experience I wrote about in a book, had a similar story of how her marriage came to be. Leila’s story represents many children whose childhood comes to an end when they are forced into marriage.

Leila told Radio Farda of the Radio Free Europe: “It was nighttime and I was asleep. My neighbors rang the doorbell and came in and put a ring on my finger.”

She pointed out, “That’s how I got married…. I didn’t know what I was doing. I remember well, my hands were shaking.”

She added that the groom was confidant and that, “He wasn’t afraid at all. But I was very afraid.”

    Leila stated,

“After two reports of anti-Muslim hate crimes were determined to be fake by authorities this month, the Muslim community is concerned that these “few false reports” are going to “unfairly discredit and delegitimize the dozens of real anti-Muslim hate crimes and instances Islamophobia out there,” according to the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).

“The way our community is treated in the media is unfortunately very monolithic,” MPAC spokeswoman Rabiah Ahmed told ABC News today. “When one person acts out — whether it’s making a false report or some other type of bad behavior — it’s often looked upon as if the whole community is responsible for it, and it’s saddening.”

One recent false report was made in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where a woman fabricated a hate crime incident in November, city police announced on Wednesday…”

  13. Syrian asylum seeker who escaped jail with prison guard lover caged AGAIN for child rape (express, Dec 22, 2016)
    http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/746659/Syrian-asylum-seeker-jail-escaped-again-Angela-Magdicic-Hassan-Kiko

“A SYRIAN asylum seeker who escaped his cell with the help of his prison guard lover will serve time behind bars for raping a 15-year-old girl in the back of his friend’s car.

Hassan Kiko was found guilty of rape and sexual coercion of a 15-year-old girl by Switzerland’s supreme court after being sentenced to four years behind bars a year ago.

But the vile sex attacker was not given extra time for escaping the confines of prison with his prison guard partner.

Kiko broke free with the help of Angela Magdicic in early February after the two are believed to have fallen in love from opposing sides of his cell door.

The two escaped to Italy where they posted videos confessing their love for one another before being arrested just two months after their great escape.

But Kiko will not face any extra time after it was revealed Ms Magdicic was the mastermind behind the escape.

And his lawyers even managed to use his escape as a defence of his character.

Kiko’s lawyer Valentin Landmann said that while the Syrian was “rather sexually indiscriminate” in the past, he had now found the “love of his life” and wanted to move on.

The court heard how Kiko lured his underage victim to his colleague’s car from a Swiss bar in late 2014, where he went on to rape her.

The former hairdresser defended himself, claiming that his victim had pretended to be 19-years old and had “wanted sex just five minutes after” meeting the Syrian asylum seeker.

He even claimed that his victims had “more pleasure than him as he was tired from work”.

Kiko has a chequered past, having been caught committing multiple crimes including two prior convictions for sexual assault…”

  15. Russia used Syria as live-fire training – US general (BBC, Dec 22, 2016)
    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-38402506

“The US army’s commander in Europe has accused Russia of using its military campaign in Syria as a “live-fire training opportunity”.

Lt Gen Ben Hodges said Russia’s “disregard for civilian casualties… is not the conduct of a nation that wants to be treated like a superpower”.

Russia’s defence minister said on Thursday that its air force had killed 35,000 fighters in Syria.
But Russia has been accused of using heavy weapons in civilian areas.

It has consistently denied targeting civilians…”

    • Blooded troops are much more effective then green troops who have never seen combat. As for their disregarding civilian causalities they are fighting the war to win the war, not win hearts and minds. The left worked hard to ensure that the entire West would change our war making attitudes to ones that will prevent us from easily winning wars. We have become too causality adverse, both ours and the enemies causalities. They are forcing us to live in their fantasy world and if we are to survive we must move back into reality. If your enemy shelters among civilians the civilian deaths are on the enemies head and hands and not yours. This is part of the Geneva Convention (or was when I was serving) and should be taught. The left will refuse to let people learn this because it will help the West survive.

  16. BBC Germany arrests two on terror charges

Two men have been arrested in Germany on suspicion of planning an attack on a shopping centre in Oberhausen near the Dutch border, police say.

The brothers, aged 31 and 28 and born in Kosovo, were detained early on Friday in Duisburg.

Germany is on high alert after Monday’s attack in Berlin, which left 12 dead.

A Europe-wide manhunt continues for Anis Amri, the Tunisian man suspected of driving a lorry into the Breitscheidplatz Christmas market.

Police said the Oberhausen attack had been intended to target the CentrO shopping centre.

Officers dressed in civilian clothing had been sent to patrol the centre and a nearby Christmas market after a tip from intelligence services, police said in a statement.

It is not yet known how advanced the preparations for the attack were, or if others were involved, the statement said.

There is no indication so far that Friday’s arrests are linked to the Berlin attack.[…]

    http://www.khaama.com/pakistan-resumes-shelling-in-kandahar-kunar-provinces-of-afghanistan-02531

“The Pakistani military has resumed artillery shelling in southern Kandahar and eastern Kunar provinces of Afghanistan as Afghanistan summons the country’s ambassador to lodge a protest over indiscriminate shelling.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan (MoFA) said the Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Syed Abrar Hussain was summoned over the recent artillery shelling from the side of Durand Line by Pakistani military and militia forces over Maruf district of Kandahar and Sarkanu district of Kunar.

MoFA further added that a formal protest was lodged over the shelling with the head of the first political department Musfa Arifi warning that the shelling in such a sensitive time when the relations between the two countries has been witnessing an all time low, could prove provocative and further ignite tensions.

The indiscriminate shelling by Pakistani military stopped with the formation of the new Afghan government, National Unity Government, led by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah in late 2014.

The Pakistani military continued to fire artillery shells in eastern provinces that caused heavy casualties and losses to the local residents of the eastern provinces.

Although the Pakistani officials rejected shelling the Afghan soil however on some occasions they admitted that the shelling were done to respond to militants activities along the Durand Line.

This comes as the Afghan and Pakistani border forces have engaged in deadly clashes along the Durand Line during the past several months, mainly due to irresponsible movements by Pakistani border forces along the line, as claimed by the Afghan officials.”

“Tehran: A young Iranian man murdered 10 members of a family with an assault rifle after his proposal of marriage to a daughter was rejected, the Mehr news agency reported Thursday.

He had asked for her hand in the village of Jahan Abad in Kerman province in the southeast.
When she shunned him, he left before returning with a Kalashnikov and opening fire.

The daughter was his first victim. The agency said he then systematically opened fire on the rest of the family, killing nine people including three women and two children.

Another five people were wounded and taken to hospital, with two reported in a critical condition, Mehr said.

Iranian media have reported several cases of so-called “honour crimes” in recent years after marriage proposals have been turned down, including acid attacks on young women.”

“Ministers of Information and Communication of member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) highlighted the the growing trend of Islamophobia, particularly in countries with Muslim minorities, and the need to counter this phenomenon and increase cooperation among OIC member states to combat it and highlight its threats.

A declaration issued at the conclusion of the ministers’ meeting here on Wednesday stressed that terrorism has no religion and is not exclusively associated with a specific nationality or place, and that it represents only the perpetrator.

It condemned all manifestations of violence, extremism, fanaticism and terrorism which distort the noble messages of human cultures.

The Jeddah Declaration called for the media in Member States to serve truth and convey the concerns of citizens of Member States and to demonstrate the greatest degree of professionalism and objectivity in reporting facts and addressing political, economic, social and cultural issues.

It denounced the criminal act by the Houthi militias and those behind them of launching a ballistic missile towards Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the place of revelation and prayer direction for Muslims.

The declaration also commended the special role of the media in Islamic countries in exposing the brutal Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and urged it to continue to highlight the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people and defend them until the establishment of their independent State with Al-Quds as its capital.

    • Condemning jihadist terrorism and “Islamophobia” at the same time.

Please forgive me whilst I laugh myself hysterically for an hour or two.

Do not these moronic jihadist shites realize that, with such utter hypocrisy, they are damning all Islam to nuclear incineration? The rest of us survivors should be so fortunate.

  23. Split in Muslim Brotherhood deepens with creation of new advisory council (arham, Dec 22, 2016)

“The Islamist group now has two advisory councils for the first time since its founding in 1928, a move opposed by leaders based in London.

The Muslim Brotherhood group has been hit by another internal dispute between two key factions, with rival members of the region’s oldest political-Islam movement engaging in a war of statements via the media.

The latest crisis erupted on Tuesday, after the Cairo-based Administrative Committee announced on one of the group’s Facebook pages that it had created a new “Shoura Advisory Council”, deciding by a majority vote on a separation of powers between the organization’s legislative and executive branches. The move leaves the organization with two advisory councils for the first time since its foundation in 1928.

“This is a first step on the right track to reforming the organization, resulting in the separation of powers between advisory and executive roles inside the organization,” according to the committee’s statement.

The committee also said that Mohamed Badei, the organization’s supreme guide, who has been in prison since the ouster of the Islamist government in July 2013, retains his position, with full powers. He will retain his position, along with other jailed members of the guidance bureau, until they are released from prison, said the committee.

However, the Brotherhood’s London office, lead by the acting Supreme Guide Mahmoud Ezzat, rejected the election of a new advisory council, defying the administrative committee’s decisions.

The Muslim Brotherhood Administrative Committee was formed in February 2014 and consists of second-tier leaders responsible for runing the organizations’ affairs. Most of the Brotherhood’s prominent leaders and guidance-office members were jailed in the wake of the July 2013 uprising, which toppled former president Mohamed Morsi.

The committee’s leader, Mohamed Kamal, was killed by Egyptian security forces in Cairo in October, leaving the committee without a declared leader.

Since its establishment, the committee has been perceived as having control over the organization’s supporter base in Egypt.

The second group led by Mahmoud Ezzat and mainly residing abroad, especially in the Uk, Turkey and Qatar, is responsible for issues of financing and regional international affairs.

This second group, commonly known as the “old guard”, includes other leaders from the Brotherhood’s international organizations – or what is described as “historical leaders” of the organization. These include London-based leaders Ibrahim Mounir, Mahmoud Hussein and Mahmoud Ezzat, who is currently acting as Supreme Guide.

    ‘Historical’ dispute

Ahmed Ban, a former Brotherhood member and researcher on Islamic movements, describes the latest dispute as “historical”.

In Ban’s opinion, the divisions run far deeper than the latest crisis over the advisory council. Rather, he says, there is complete disagreement between the two groups on ways to resolve the organization’s current state of deterioration.

“Since its establishment in 1928, the MB never witnessed such a threat to its existence. We now officialy have two Muslim Brotherhood organizations with two different advisory councils who exchange claims and feud through the media. This is something decisive in the history of the organization,” said Ban.

“The current crisis between the two groups is nothing more than a struggle over power, reflecting the failure of the two groups to take any serious action or mobilize the masses to act against the current regime.”

Another important factor, in ban’s opinion, is the desire of the old guard to engage in political dialogue and reconciliation with the current regime, while the Cairo-based group is against the idea of reconciliation.

Ban says that prominent members within both groups have been engaged in efforts at reconcilliation for years, seeking to resolve tensions within the organizations. However, the situation has reached the stage where reconcilliation seems unlikely, with tensions likely only to increase in future, according to Ban.

Mohamed Morsi, Egypt’s former president and prominent member of the Brotherhood’s guidance office, was ousted by a popular uprising in July 2013. The organization was designated as a terrorist group in December of the same year. Most of its prominent leaders, including Supreme Guide Mohamed Badei, former president Morsi, and almost all members of its guidance office and other top-tier members, were put on trial and jailed.

Since then, the two groups have engaged in several disputes by way of media statements, with each claiming to be the legitimate representative of the organization.”
